UPDATE: We’ve published the materials list (the stuff you need to collect in order to unlock characters) but it’s still from BETA testing. So some of the items may change and how you unlock them. But for now this should be a good starting point for everyone to see how to unlock certain characters. You can find the “Stuff” page here
Hello There Questers! (so we’ll try this one out today, maybe we’ll do a poll later 😉 )
So the game is in fact LIVE in the app stores (iOS and Android…sorry Kindle friends! Hopefully soon!) and while we’re playing our game of what was in BETA/what’s in the actual game I wanted to provide you all with a few quick tips to help you get started through the first little bit of the game!
-Earn Money Faster:
During the first few parts of the game (after both Chris and Peter have reached level 2) you can earn a good amount of money by continuously making them play Fat Guy Leap Frog. Do this BEFORE you clear Quagmire’s block, because at that point the task is only 6 seconds long. So every 6 seconds you’ll earn 15 coins. But after you clear Quagmire’s block the quest time will go up and it won’t be as beneficial. So if you’re looking for a quick way to build up your cash bank while getting started, this is a good trick!
–Having Trouble Getting the Game to Load:
Just like other App games we suggest trying the basic troubleshoot methods first if you can’t get it to load (or it crashes at start up). Hard close the app and reopen it, if that doesn’t work restart your device. Those should help trigger the game to start correctly.
–Played the game in BETA?
If you played the BETA version of the game your progress will continue once you download the new game. If you created an account you’ll need to sign into the account to get your game back, otherwise it will just appear when it’s downloaded.
–Friends in Facebook:
Currently the ONLY way to add friends in this game is via Facebook (meaning your friends have to have the game and use Facebook to login too). We’ll have a friend request page up shortly BUT we caution you to be careful how much real life information you give out. You may want to consider making a Facebook account JUST for this game and not putting any personal information on it. And yes, we’re not fans of the Facebook only rule right now. Hopefully it will change soon!
-Play on Multiple Devices:
You can create an account via Facebook, Google + or just your email address. Click the menu button (looks like 9 little boxes inside a box) and hit account info. From there you can create an account via and of the above methods listed. When you go to your other device just hit account info again and sign in (with the method you chose) and that should bring your town back up.

Family Guy Addicts 
I linked my account to Facebook, but I want to create a username so I have extra backup as I’m looking to deactivate Facebook in the next few months. Is there anyway I can do this at all? Thanks for your help

You should be able to do it via the Account Settings in the Main Menu, just setup an account via email.

I’m having trouble connecting on multiple devices, I’ve followed your instructions but when I try to connect to facebook is says that continuing will overwrite my saved game lv 19 with the game on my second device lv 2. I obviously don’t want to do that…what am I doing wrong?

Best bet on this is to contact TinyCo and let them know the issue you’re having. They’ll be able to let you know if something is up with your specific Quahog.

Seriously can anyone help me. I’m new to The game and I don’t see how to add sidewalks everything is all crammed up on my board with no rhyme or reason or streets….how do u add the roads?!

Thanks for the leapfrog tips!! It’s made not only the bankroll easier but the level up issue a lot easier too! Now I’m trying to level up characters like Quagmire who didn’t have that advantage. Lots of panty raids…
I’ve used some of the extra money to buy a couple of office buildings & they seem to be adding my income back up in no time.
Took me forever to figure out how to move items. Click & HOLD ok… Then tap to exit. that needed to be in the tutorial!
gotta say so far my favorite thing: Is the “cashing voice over checks” popup as Joe’s house is regenerating. cute Patrick shoutout there.

Just got the golden pool! 😀
Still feeling my way through this game, though. I will decide sooner or later whether I’m as addicted about Quest For Stuff as I am with TSTO.
I also have yet to figure out if there is a Conformity Meter equivalent on this game. I see no incentive to have a forest of trees or stop signs, like in The Simpsons game.

It’s hard to say, because you’ll still earn more as you progress. But I’d say anything over 1,000 is good to start with! 🙂 (but if you’re on iOS, you’ll need 2k for the golden pool (golden suit peter quest) and that kills your bankroll, so you might want to save up a bit more so you can make sure you can easily get the golden pool 🙂

My sister started the game yesterday and she stopped progress (doing quests) after unlocking Bonnie. She has been sending Chris, Peter and Bonnie on the 6 sec tasks ever since. She has accumulated $50.000 so far and is in level 12. She has already maxed out Chris’ levels (15?), Peter is at level 18 and Bonnie has levelled up to level 14. And…she is still at it. She is in no hurry to play the game, so she doesn’t care. I’m a bit jealous. Wish had known this when I started playing.

Hard closed, reinstalled, even tried on my ipad. I haven’t been able to progress at all. Each device starts me at the Griffin house with that being the only clickable option.

If you can see the menu icon, go into it and the help section. Go into Contact Support and keep continuing til you get the option to contact them (small text box in top right corner of screen) and contact them with all your info and issue you are having. Let me know if you are unable to get into the menu.

Ok so I’ve been working hard on this all day (Bunny too!) and we heard back from our friends at TinyCo (seriously GREAT support staff there to work with!) and this is a known glitch. Bunny is working on a post about it now, but TinyCo is aware of it and they’re working hard to resolve the issue.
In the meantime I think the main issue as to why it’s not correcting when you reinstall it is because the files/data are still saved on your device. Now here’s where I have problems, because on my Android I can delete the cache and app data from the device and delete the app & it shows up as if it was just freshly downloaded. But with iOS it’s a lot harder to do it, so you have to take a much more drastic measure. Try these steps if you don’t want to wait for the fix to come out and see if it works…remember there’s no guarantee this will work but it’s worth a shot. Clearing the cache and app data has helped on my Android devices…
It’s possible you may have some corrupt game files. If this is the case you can try the following (again only do this if everything else fails):
-Delete Family Guy from your Device
-Back up your device. If using iOS backup to iCloud,
-Reset all of your content and settings on your device (found in the settings)
-Restore your device to factory, like new, settings.
-Download and install Family Guy from the App Store
-Restart the game. If you see the intro video, you’ve successfully removed the old files and installed a clean version.
It’s really important if you’re doing the phone reset to delete the app before you backup your device. If you don’t delete the app first, it’s possible the data from the app (that’s corrupt) is cached locally on your device is still there, and it’s possible that the issues are due to improperly cached data on the device. If you reset and restore your device without deleting the app first, you are potentially restoring this bad data right back to your device.
Give that a try and let us know how it works out for you! 🙂

No lock, only option I have is to tap the house. Chris is there with a pillow in his hands. Peter is standing on the sidewalk. At the top of the screen there is the worker. I cant move around the town or tap any players. There is no menu option.

Try some basic troubleshooting – hard close the app etc. How far have you progressed in the game? You may need to dlete and re-install the app but hard closing should do the job.

Does Chris have a lock over his head? If so try tapping on the lock, see if that opens the lock up.

Trying to log on with Facebook and I keep getting a screen that says you have returned to the app without completing the log in. It does this whether I’m trying to log in from the home screen or the friends screen.

When you push the sign in it should have a popup that says it wants to access your profile etc on Facebook, if you hit cancel it won’t connect and you’ll get that screen, if you hit ok you should progress.
However, I also think it’s directly linked to the Facebook account on your device, so if one isn’t connected that could be an issue too.
We’re still working everything out ourselves with the Facebook connection on the game. As soon as we have more info we’ll pass it along, I promise! 🙂

I’m on the quest where I have to use the worker to clear land, but it only gives me the option to buy another worker for clams, and I don’t want to do that. Can I get around that?

Sadly, no. The worker can only do one task at a time, so if you have him already fixing or making another building…you have to buy MORE workers or just wait til he is done.

OK. I downloaded it on my galaxy tab and I wanted to switch to my iPod to try for the exclusive content. It was giving me trouble signing into Google + to transfer my stuff, but all I had to do was sign out of Google on the tab first. Not sure if that was in the troubleshoot or not.

Hi Alissa, my game jumps from the main screen (with no clickable options) to the Griffin house. Even after hard resets and reinstalling. It’s linked to my Game Center account for some reason. I’m so sad I can’t play. Googling tinyco family guy support didn’t help either

😦 I don’t even have a chance to log in, after I uninstall and reinstall it brings me back to the griffin house. I haven’t ever been able to log in. And there is no menu on the screen either 😦

You login from the main game screen, not at the splash screen. You should see a box in the bottom left that looks like 9 little squares inside of a box. If you tap on that it’ll take you to Game Help, and from there go to account settings. That should help you create an account. 🙂

Just home from work, downloaded “Family Guy” app & away we go….oh can’t add friends, well Alissa maybe at a later date. Like it so far, building up my funds courtesy of leap frog, mmm getting fed up of leap frogging & baking cakes, but i’m leveling up…maybe time to move onto the next task 🙂 Like the simple flicking over of the tasks to action them 🙂 so far so good 🙂

You need to get a pawtucket ale bottle. You can get it by sending Peter to drink at the clam as well, it will also come out of the clam when the building is ready (generates income)

I have trouble with 2 quests; will I miss content or quests if I don’t fulfill these?
– buy premium coins… I don’t want to pay (yet)
– invite 5 friends…. I did however it doesn’t noticed that.. do the friends actually need to accept? Kinda hard to find such friends, the friends who like it allready have it. It would be better if they counted the amount of friends you got, or invited without accepting.

Will the 2 quests; pay 5 dollars and invite 5 friends, stay forever? Are there content/missions I’ll miss if I don’t complete them?
I want to play fremium, and don’t know if I can find 5 facebook friends on my new facebook profile for this sort of games, who wants to play the game but dont yet play it :p
