Hello there Clammers!
We last left off our walkthrough we had completed the quests from the start of the game & unlocking Clam Quarter, and Peter was just suggesting we unlock the Shopping District (District 3)! So now we pick this back up with the complete quests that will pop up while in the Shopping District!
The Shopping District is where you’ll unlock Mort, Lois & Al Harrington’s. By unlocking Al Harrington’s you’ll be able to start to build costumes and unlock more skins (& tasks) for your characters!
I tired to run this one a little bit differently than the first walkthrough & sort it via the questline, instead of it jumping all over the place (which the game itself will do). Note: Questline is considered the entire task list that is required under a certain title. For example Dollars and Sense Pt. 1, Pt. 2 etc. This should help you keep track of what comes next in each questline & what you’ll need to do. Keep in mind, with this game various quests/tasks can be running at once. You can be in the middle of 1 questline and another questline will start, however the order in which the questlines appear may be different for each game.
Unlocking characters in the Shopping District takes a little more patience, as the list of “Stuff” required to unlock is longer, and the quantities of each are greater. Take your time, try not to get frustrated when the items don’t appear. Try a different task to unlock the item, or try working on a different item.
So let’s pick our walkthrough back up with Peter, Goldman’s Pharmacy & the quest for NEW stuff!
Just a reminder
To unlock characters: once you’ve collected all of the “Stuff”, you’ll need to go through their items again and tap the ones with check marks. Once you’ve gone through each one the lock over the character’s head will turn gold and show unlock. At this point tap the character again to fully unlock the character.
As you get further into the game it becomes harder to earn the items needed to unlock the characters. Be sure to check out the Materials page to see the odds of the items and who can help you unlock them.

Note from Alissa: As you can see the Hooker Peter costume requires a lot of stuff so it may take awhile before you earn everything to unlock it. Take your time with it, it’s not going anywhere. We’ll pick the Dude Looks Like a Lady walkthrough back up in it’s own independent post, but part 1 does pop up while you’re in the Shopping District. So I wanted to make sure I provided you guys with all the critical info you need for this one, so when you see it you’ll know what to do. 🙂

I play on a Windows 8.1 tablet. I am stuck on The Fattest Loser Pt 4. For some reason, the game wont let me open the quest. I get the dialog leading up to it, but it wont open. Is there something I need to do first? I have been stuck for weeks now.

Just got this on my Windows Phone (Lumia) & am _loving_ it!
Been farming like crazy to finish Lois within 24 hours for the free 25 clams & was 4 (FOUR! Count ’em! 😛 ) minutes short of starting Chris on a 6-hour ‘private time’ for the last drop. Ended up spending £3.49 ‘RL’ money on a box of coins (& got the same in clams free – noice!) just to spend a couple of those clams in order to finish in the time allotted. (Is the “buy coins get the same value of clams ” _always_ the case or was it a one-time deal?)
Now working on Herbert & Joe, but 6,000(?!?) to complete the school? Well, I’m over 5,000 so far, so it doesn’t seem so bad (now). Clearing the undeveloped areas seems to be rising pretty steeply in cost, which is prolly my main gripe.
And those popsicles? Getting them is grinding my gears somewhat, too…

It varies each event on whether an offer will show or not. There is usually one somewhere in them.

What is the name and Part #s of the tasks you have open in your task menu? Or are you just trying to still unlock Joe?

Part 4 and 5 of The Biggest Loser questline are switched around. Part 4 is when you make Peter cook vegetables and then punch the ground, Part 5 is when he tries to run and you have him stub his knee.

Keep in mind this was written when the game first launched. Changes may have come since. That’s why we state it is a guideline. If they changed it in the year since release, there may be differences. 😉

It never occurred to me that it could have been the other way around originally in the game. I love this site, it’s very helpful and informative. I just started playing on March 1st on Android and have been consulting the guides and walkthroughs. That’s why I noticed since that was the part of the game I was on the day when I posted.

I am still having issues with the game. I absolutely cannot unlock the school district. I dont have any kind of quests written on my little pad, its blank. I cant click on peter, quagmire or jerome to do quests, I am playing on windows and have written the company numerous times and they got back to me once and asked question, and they havent replied since. Its been a couple weeks at least. Thanks for any help you can give me. I am tired of buying the same office buildings over and over just to have something to do.

Thats the thing. Ive written to them several times. They wrote back once asking for info. which I gave them and I havent heard from them since. I kind of feel like when a guy say’s he’ll call you and never does.

😦 I know they can take a while. What I would say is if you haven’t heard back in 5 days from your last response, send another message. Sometimes, especially with events like this, they’ll get lost in the shuffle.

I’ve done the walkthrough tasks dozens of times. I have bought everything possible. All the blocks are cleared, even the 60,000 one. There is nothing more to do but keep building buildings and doing random tasks. Nothing will unlock the school district. Im level 25 and still stuck in the shopping district. I have every costume possible that doesnt require moving on. I have written for help so many times. I am kind of getting at the end of my rope.

I’m on Windows phone & haven’t experienced this problem. Perhaps the OP could uninstall/reinstall & see if the issue still occurs. It’d be far quicker than waiting for the same advice from the game’s devs.

They had the nerve to send me an email asking how satisfied I am with their customer service. Seriously, is this all some joke? Is this some elaborate hoax made up by someone with nothing better to do than see how frustrated they can get someone before they’ll quit a game? Cause Im kind of starting to feel like about 10 people are sitting in a room somewhere, laughing hysterically about the idiots who keep trying to advance in the game.

If you have an account created….try hard closing, clearing your cache, uninstalling the game, restarting your device and reinstalling it. But only do this if you’ve created an account..

I am stuck with Lois locked waiting on lipstick. Hooker Peter also needs lipstick. The lipstick is evenly going to Peter and Lois! I would much rather be able to designate all lipstick to unlock Lois. I can’t tell, but Bonnie has been to the clam 4 times, Chris has had private time 4 times, and I have tapped the day spa twice now. I have a total of 4 lipsticks: 2 for Lois and 2 for PEter. How rare is the lipstick, because other “rare” stuff isn’t as rare as the lipstick, IMO. I am upset if Peter is getting the lipstick meant for Lois. I am starting a quest for lipstick by tapping Lois and then selecting the task from there. It is possible that I have spent 3 days trying to get lipstick for Lois only to get 2, and the 2 lipsticks went down as 2 for HP and 2 for Lois when I only “earned” 2 total….but it’s irritating that it’s taking DAYS to get Lois unlocked. It will take me a week at this rate. Quagmire with gerbils is faster. PEter is stealing lipstick meant for Lois, and I can’t do anything about it.

My best advice is to not allow Peter to get to Hooker level before you unlock Lois. Make Lois the priority…I dont recall which level Peter has to be at in order to unlock the Quest for Hooker Peter, but be aware that your quest items will go wherever they like once you earn them. The Day Spa is showing multiple items, too, so I am getting no lipstick from the Day Spa. This is really irritating, I think the developers need to allow users to set a priority Lois. Wondering where else this is a problem, where characters share requirements for very rare items. I’m about to throw in the towel, it’s not fun any more.

Maybe I’m imagining things, but if I have two characters waiting for the same item, and that item appears, it counts towards both characters. When the item floats up to the top, both characters meters are advanced, and the count has increased.

Right, I was confirming this because Zippy seems to be implying you should be able to choose which characters get the item, but if all characters waiting for that item get credit, there is really no reason to have to choose. The item is not credited to only one, or split between characters.

Am I going to have to get RARE 12 lipsticks in order to unlock Lois??!?!? I’ll let you know. IMO, tapping on Lois for a task should make the lipstick go to Lois. I’ll respond later with results. So far, I never saw where the lipstick was coming from, because I have earned 1 lipstick a day, usually in the AM when EVERYTHING has spit out stuff and I never saw a lipstick icon floating. Not once. But I will be more observant and post it here.

How do you change the outfits of characters that are not in Al haringtons, to unlock?

If you tap on the character and swipe to the right or left on the character image in the task box that will show you all of the available costumes for that character 🙂

Are you swiping from FaceSpace or from their task box in the main game? Not all characters have costumes. Only Peter, Lois, Quagmire, Chris and Joe do.

When you are collecting stuff and it says “rare” does that mean you will never unlock it eg with mort Bonnie has to twerk it so will the rare stuff never unlock? I’ve unlocked all of morts tasks but the final one that says rare?

It just means that it may take you a few tries before the item will actually “Pop out” when the task is complete. So you may do the task once or five times to get one rare item. Hope that helps. 😉

Nope, they’ll unlock. Just not guaranteed every time you make the character do that task. For example every time Mort swallows jewels he won’t give you jewels. It’s basically an odds thing. If you check out the materials page you’ll see the actual odds for each item. 🙂

The tasks seem to start out of order. Does anyone know what needs to be completed in order to trigger the next district?

The main quest in each district (ie the one that triggers the district to start). So for the shopping district it’s Dollars and Sense, for the School District it’s The Lost Boys.
In the walkthroughs they’re sorted by questline because various quests will pop at at different times depending on how you’re playing the game, but sorting them by questline allows you to find what you need to complete each section of the District. 🙂

That makes sense. The walkthrough layout is good, I just didn’t didn’t know what was required to move on. I figured I had to collect the stuff to get Lois before moving on, but didn’t know which of the other tasks were required, and there are a lot of them. Thanks!

Hmm. For me I had to place a red flower bed and not a golden. And Hooker Peter requires 5 of each items not 7 in my game, on iOS 🙂

Sorry about that. The recent update changed a LOT of prices for items. I thought we caught them all. A few snuck through. The quest lines have changed as well. I am double checking on a new game to see which flower bed it makes me place this time. The first time it was a golden.

Can you make a post on tips on getting money faster because it is taking me forever to get Lois and I even did the leap frog trick and got 1000 coins before stopping.

We are looking into the best ways to make extra money as some of our games were locked up with Bruce glitch.
We will look into further now and advise on what we feel is a good way. So far, the only thing I am seeing other than constant short tasks is maybe multiples of those random office buildings. But don’t overcrowd your town. 🙂

When the task to create Hooker Peter came up, there was a special limited time offer to buy it with 600 clams and get all of them back as a reward after finishing – so basically get it for nothing if you are willing to spend money on the clams in the first place. This was only good for one hour, then it disappeared. As you didn’t mention it, maybe this is another thing only iOS users got?

I’m on Android and I got the offer as well. I actually did take advantage of it since it was limited time and you got all your clams back and now I have both Hooker Peter and all 600 clams. Not a bad deal if you’re willing to shell out for the clams (no pun intended).
