Quest for Stuff Quick Walkthroughs: School District to Unlocking Pirate’s Cove

Hello there Clammers!

We last left off our walkthrough we had unlocked Lois and Mort and Peter was just suggesting we unlock the School District (District 4)…so he could find Joe.  So now we pick this back up with the complete quests that will pop up while in the School District!

The School District is where you’ll unlock Herbert, Joe & run into a bunch of wild tots!

Once again this District walkthrough is structured by questline  (Note: Questline is considered the entire task list that is required under a certain title.  For example The Lost Boys Pt. 1, Pt. 2 etc).  This should help you keep track of what comes next in each questline & what you’ll need to do.  Keep in mind, with this game various quests/tasks can be running at once.  You can be in the middle of 1 questline and another questline will start, however the order in which the questlines appear may be different for each game.

Unlocking characters in the School District takes a little more patience, as the list of “Stuff” required to unlock is longer, and the quantities of each are greater.  Take your time, try not to get frustrated when the items don’t appear.  Try a different task to unlock the item, or try working on a different item.

So let’s pick our walkthrough back up with Peter, the Lost Boys & the quest for NEW stuff!

Just a reminder
To unlock characters
: once you’ve collected all of the “Stuff”, you’ll need to go through their items again and tap the ones with check marks.  Once you’ve gone through each one the lock over the character’s head will turn gold and show unlock.  At this point tap the character again to fully unlock the character.

As you get further into the game it becomes harder to earn the items needed to unlock the characters.  Be sure to check out the Materials page to see the odds of the items and who can help you unlock them.

  1. Before I unlocked Lois, I noticed I had a time-limited quest to unlock her within 24 hours, if I wanted to receive 25 clams (unfortunately I failed it). Now that I unlocked the school district, I was wondering if either Herbert or Joe has the same type of time-limited quest, so I can at least try to be prepared with the materials before I unlock them.

    • No they don’t have timers associated with them 🙂 I think the only other who did was vinny and that’s to get a building as opposed to clams.

      • Tried it all except contact.. I only have setting, language, notifications, and sound in the box you show to click… no support. In your honest opinion is it even worth contacting them? In my experience with “these types of games” support only made the frustration worse ie no reply for weeks and when they reply they say they’re investigating and nothing comes from it.

        • Just spoke to them. They are asking players having this issue to message them. They want to look into it further and need the games having the issue. Menu, Help & Settings, Contact. Gotta go in there a lil further to see the option. Not the first screen.

          • Will do… but for reference its is NOT there.. only what I said. Maybe because of the pad I’m playing on but I looked very hard and no help and setting I promise. Furthermore my screens looked completely diff from yours. Thank lots bunny ill just stack some coin until this is resolved.

            • Hi! I’m having the same problem with Joe. I’m playing on a Surface 2 and I had the same problem with the Main Menu as well, I only have the Settings and Inventory buttons, and under settings is sound, language and notifications. It also doesn’t have the option of saving the account or creating a log-in and password so I won’t lose it if I install and reinstall the game. If anyone has had this issue and resolved it I’d love to hear how you did it! I’ve emailed the company but am waiting for a reply.

    • I’ve had a similar problem for months, except the exclamation mark over peter is saying to like on facebook ( I tried but don’t have a facebook account ), I’m playing the windows version on laptop, so can’t create an account to save progress (and the 300 odd clams I have ! ), I’ve done all tasks but can’t clear lost boys to progress onto pirate cove, as it keeps telling me to finish lost boys part 4, but I’ve done everything listed in walkthrough, emailed Tiny &co , they said they would try & resolve with an update……that was at least 3 months ago now , nothing has changed. I ‘m just getting characters to do 1 day long tasks & build up money but it’s getting very boring lol !!

      • sorry , just re-read my comment, I’ve done everything apart from pirates life for me part 1 ( which I’m guessing didn’t come up as peter still has the like on facebook exclamation blocking him ).

  8. Awesome game, but I can’t finish A Pirate’s Life For Peter. I’ve done everything in my quest, but it’s not letting me clear the pirates. It keeps saying I need to finish Part 5 before I can clear them, but I’ve made Long John Peter Pillage & Plunder and it’s still not letting me get these pirates off my screen! Please help =/

    • You may need to uninstall/reinstall your game to snap it out of it’s funk. If you have it linked to an email or Facebook account you can safely do the uninstall and you won’t lose your game. Follow this post to return to your saved game.

Sometimes for me, if I send a character on OTHER tasks in the task bar that are still left unfinished…it helps to trigger others in the “twilight zone”. I am unsure if it will help, but maybe worth a try? Or even hopping in and out of a few neighbors or Ollie’s to see if that helps sync it back? Let us know.

  9. I have unlocked Lois and mort and joe plus the costumes. The missions on the right hand side are it’s a pirates life part one to clear the wharf however it’s still covered in gray clouds. I don’t know what else to do to unlock it. It’s been stuck at this for days. I looked at the quest line and I have completed all of them I don’t think I get more until I unlock the wharf. Please help

  12. Do I need to clear ALL of the blocks before I can enter the Pirate’s Cove district? I have everything unlocked except a few blocks on the left side of the town and it won’t let me enter Pirate’s Cove until I “finish what I’m working on” even though I’m not building anything.
    thanks

  13. Collecting multiple 10x items? Ugh, that’s going to be a PITA and take forever. That’s probably the most likely feature to annoy me enough to quit playing… 😦

    Like

    • Yes, it can get daunting. BUT that’s why I like to get these walkthroughs out ASAP. So you guys can see exactly what’s needed to unlock a character so, if the items are available, you can start working on collecting them before you need them 🙂

  14. Really liking it so far, I have created the tweaked out Peter so far. Mort has been a pain to unlock. The rough part is ping to be these next one to two weeks with no neighbor visits for the extra income. I’m a freemium player so I’m not buying coins or clams. ( I did buy a few so I could get more workers though). So the decreased income will make things a bit slower.

    • A lil slow to start. No worries. Usual new game stuff. Just know that EVERYONE is slow to go now too. Lol. So unless someone really invests a LOT in those clams, no one is going anywhere fast. Lol. I am curious what other options outside of Facebook they’ll be looking into for social.

      • Yeah same here, I’m looking forward to what they do next. There seems to be the option to sign in with a username and password so perhaps a duel system with both FB and adding by user name.

      • I hope that they support the multiplayer stuff from Google Play Games. Would be somewhat logical since they already support the service for logins.
