Hello There Adventure Clammers!
Having fun working your way through the new Adventure Update? How much booty have YOU collected so far? Remember we’re only on day 1 of the event, there’s still 30 more to go. It’s not a race…it’s an event. So take your time, but play daily. You’ll all get there. 🙂
We’ve got loads of info coming for you guys (the weekend drop threw us off a bit, since we’re all in “weekend mode” and had various other things going on) but for right now I wanted to take a minute and go over a common question we see popping up in the comments a lot in the last day. What’s the difference between the idols and trophies? And will you lose idols if you buy stuff, thus making it harder to earn your prizes?
So let’s break down the ins and outs of this booty grabbing event, shall we?
Idols and trophies are the same thing, but also different. Here’s the deal….
Idols
Your current Idol total can be found in the top left of your main Quahog screen, next to your cash total:
Consider this total the same as your total cash, but for the event itself. This number will go up or down based on how many idols you spend or earn. You cannot purchase any item that costs more idols than you have in this total.
Trophies (Score):
The Trophy total (which is also referred to as your score) can be found in the bottom right of your main Quahog screen:
Trophies are a running total of how many idols you’ve earned throughout the event. This number is the number the prizes are based on. And this total will only go up, it won’t decrease (even if you spend idols on stuff).
Once this total reaches each prize point you’ll unlock & earn that prize….
So have no fear when it comes to spending those idols, it will not impact your status in claiming your prizes.

TinyCo knows. Lol. We don’t post spoilers. Too many possibilities of change before released live in the game. So we will wait. Also, we wait until TinyCo authorizes the release of the information. We like the working relationship we have with them and would like to keep it that way. 😉

You get a useless gorilla at 70k idols and a pretty funny original character at 100k idols, save and find out who it is. Im at 117k right now and seems that it wont be any more prices after 100k.

I’m just under 11 thousand idol score! Has anyone unlocked any of the secret prizes yet, I’m really curious as to what they are

They’ll release as the Event moves on. The only down side to that is we can’t make an accurate idol counter calendar because we don’t know those last prize totals.

I’m really liking this event so far. The idea of having both a running total of items collected and being able to trade those items is great. I really hope EA and TSTO are paying attention.

This is how EA used to do events. The problem we’re seeing is people complain no matter what the event is. And unfortunately, those are the people that ruin it for everyone. We’re seeing TONS of people complaining about this event already (and it’s only 3 days in).
However, i do hope that EA goes back to gaming systems like this…even if it’s a combination like it was at Christmas.

I noticed that just as this event started some of the items were free (evil monkey, oasis, tree etc). Wish I’d grabbed a few more when they showed up. Did anyone else see this early Saturday morning GMT?

I found that when I purchased the cat statue it dropped the number of idols offset against what is needed to unlock adventure Peter. ie my adventure peter idol count is 300 but my trophey count is 500, but surely the count for the character should be 500 too. It’s a shame because adventure peter needs 1250 I think and Cleveland over 3000.

That is correct. It is the very same as when you collect items within the game to unlock characters and skins. The items are tossed into the “bank” and await until you use them to unlock a character/skin. Then as soon as you select to unlock/build…that amount of item is deducted from the total.
So with this event, spend your Moon Idols wisely. I would suggest to focus on clearing the Museum and unlocking the characters first…THEN start claiming your prizes and investing in other things.

It doesn’t take away idols to claim your prizes, at least not on my game? I currently have 608 towards Adventure Peter and 808 total score. The 200 difference is the idols spent to repair the museum. I have claimed the cat statue and bronze Peter statue and it has not reduced the number of idols I have in the ‘bank’. I thought the prizes were awarded for reaching a goal rather than purchased like the things in the build menu?

To claim the prizes from the treasures list…no. I was not referring to those. That is not impacted. I was stating they were correct in that their count should NOT have been impacted by the treasure of the “Last Place” Cat Statue. It is the OTHER prizes you claim that will impact the count. (Similar to regular game play gathering and unlocking hairspray, handcuffs, toads, etc… when those items are “claimed” for the unlock.) Whether you use the Moon Idols to unlock Cleveland, unlock Adventure Peter, or many other decorations for the event… THOSE will most definitely take from the total and you have to re-earn them back. So you have to pay close attention to where you are applying the Moon Idols earned.
The museum repair cost 200 Moon Idols and that WILL take from the total. So it may explain the 200 difference in the count.

Ah, yes. I see my mistake now. Thanks for bringing that up.I think I am so used to paying coins to repair district buildings that even though the game made it clear it was costing me idols, my brain was on coin autopilot and so I put the 200 idols loss down to the cat statue.

I noticed the same thing. The cat statue is a trophy prize but when I claimed it, my idol count (at the top) went down by 200. According to the explanation given for trophies, that shouldn’t have happened. Glitch?!?!

It looks like I need to watch to make sure this isn’t a trending issue. I will see if I can get clarification on the matter. In the meantime, report it to TinyCo from your game menu.

It was repairing the museum that cost 200 trophies, not the cat statue. The point awards DO NOT remove trophies from your count.

Lol true that that’s when I go buy another 20 dollar play store card ;p I think I passed familyguyaddict status I’m a family guy fiend I bought literally everything from the circus event the exotic animal event from recently n all the premium characters!!! I get on every morning before work my 1st break lunch break n my last break then when I get off work n then before I go to sleep I might not get on as much as others but I think I’m very committed to this game 🙂

I have over a thousand booty I bought all the extra items I felt like oily should since I got paid on Friday n won’t have much time collecting items since work so I bought a 20 dollar play store card to get a head start on everything u think I made a gud decision or not? I feel like I can get everything without but I did the same when the circus update came out n it helped a lot cuz a lot of ppl didn’t get pee pants outfit for Peter so hopefully it helps I just hope everyone has a gud chance to get everything I can’t wait til to c what else we will get later on in the game next week when the pyramid timer finishes I at least one of each item this event has to offer I wish I knew about the glitch before the update lol but gud luck to all of the fgtqfs players n the FAMILYGUYADDICTS!!!!!!!! ;P

Just keep in mind this is a LONG event. Over a month. LOTS of time to earn items. Also, there is more to come that will release as the game progresses, so don’t blow all those clams in one shot. Better earning items may be yet to come. 😉

I have just over 600 collected. This looks to be a fun event. However Wow !!! It’s gonna take a llloooonnnggg time to unlock Cleveland. On another side of the game I am still waiting for my last eyeball too unlock anime peter so then I can unlock Tricia from Asia town. It’s been probably 5-6 days now that I haven’t got any eyeball from Peter or the doctor. It’s getting frustrating.

Hang in there. We are only on day two of a month long event. Still plenty of time to earn all sorts of fun stuff. Don’t forget the pyramid is gonna open in less than 7 days too. I wonder what other cool stuff that will bring.

I would not worry about Anime Peter and Tricia. She will not help you at all besides earning more coins which you will be doing plenty of while focusing on the limited time idols. Just put the doctor on the eyeballs and maybe you get it.

Yup ! That’s what I did. Assigned the doc to a permanent eye ball task while Peter does the pyramid thing 🙂 . I am actually quite enjoying this update. I am on the line to purchase some clams. Not sure if I will or not but the freemium route is fine for now 🙂 . I cannot wait for Stewie to come in the game. Also does anyone know if Tiny Co will ever change the way the neighbor thing works and get rid of the Facebook thing. I have to say that Facebook part of the game is one of the only downsides. I would love to have neighbors but not through Facebook.

I think many of us concur on the FB thought. All we can do is continue to vocalize to them our thoughts on it. Send them feedback via our Menus from the game. Let them know how we feel on the matter. I know they said at the beginning they were “looking into other options down the road”. Not sure what all goes into it, but I like to keep my personal side…personal. FB just has too much info linked to real life on it to share. Lol. 😉

starting the event at 2am was weird but i have 320 idols 520 trophies after i unlocked museum Cleveland is gonna take a while getting 4250 idols while gathering materials for adventure peter and unlocking cleveland , and i think that for the 4 weeks of the event there are gonna be different stuff each week like maybe mummies one week

Well, if I added up all the Girlfriend Booty Tonage into one big Girlfriend the booty would be about 10 tons and be the size of a 10×10 Bouncy House.. 😉
And this stuff makes a Bunny blush Bright Red, which is hard to do when you are covered in fur.

Just as the update was released, it seemed a few did get them. But when they fully updated to the actual event, they didn’t collect anymore. So far, I have not seen anyone collect Moon Idols from neighbors yet. Awaiting confirmation if it was a glitch or just another rare drop.

I’m at 542 trophies. 342 idols as I got the last place cat. Playing freemium, no special buildings or item droppers.
With the number of people asking you about the 7 day pyramid counter versus the 31 day event counter, despite the fact it’s clearly mentioned in the previous post, I hope you’ve copied your response and just hit paste rather than typing it up for each reply.
Joke time = If you got an idol for every time someone asked you about the 7 day pyramid counter versus the 31 day event counter, you’d have 25 clams by now. (Drums: Ba-doom-boom-ching)
