So it looks like we got yet another update with some more cool stuff for our games. We will continue to update this post with all the specifics after we test them out. 
This new Update will give us a new skin for Cleveland and will come with two items for free. The Dance Floor and St. Elmo’s Clam.

So what will you need to unlock 80’s Cleveland?
3500 (yes this WILL take from your overall count).
20 Dancing Shoes- COMMON (Get from Cleveland & Quagmire)
15 Sheen-RARE (Get from Jerome & Peter)
15 Pleather- RARE (Get from Bonnie & Bruce)
Once I completed the task of making his outfit, the building and dance floor unlocked. (Both were in my Buildings Menu).
Pays $30 & 20 XP Every 4hrs
The 80’s Dance Floor is pretty much identical to the Special Sarcophagi Dance Floors in size. The animation and coloring are what is different. It tends to be quite brighter compared to the other ones. More pastels
Pays $10 & 5XP Every 1hr. 5 X 6 in size

So I had an android and before switching I made sure I could play on my iPhone so I switched phones and now it won’t allow me to play because it won’t upgrade so I’m wondering why and if it going to allow me to upgrade before the Cleveland and pyramid event ends because if it’s after I’m going to be very upset.

As soon as the iOS update is out (probably Monday at this point) you should be able to play again on the iPhone.

Not sure if I am the only one here…but I play my game both on my iPad and Android. Well my Android is working fine, but every time I start it up on my iPad it says I need to upgrade…well I go to the app store to update and there is nothing there for Family Guy….. I am confused…and it wont let me play the game without upgrading. Has anyone else ever had this issue??

It’s a common issue right now (unfortunately). Android is ahead of iOS so if you’ve logged in on a Android device your game goes to the newest version. However, when you try to go back to an iOS device it’s not at the same level. So essentially your Quahog is higher than your device…until the iOS update hits. So you’re unfortunately locked out on iOS until that new update hits the App Store. It should be hitting soon, but we’re not sure as to exactly when.

Game just auto updated right before my friends came due for today. And guess what??? I got the customary $10 for each friend tap, but I ALSO GOT 4 BUTTS for each one too! I even got a clam from one. Best TQFS friend tapping trip EVER!

Yes, they restored the Butts from friends feature. They had difficulties with it at the start of the event, it was causing problems, but looks like they restored the option. 🙂

I was a holdout on the update for iOS because I didn’t want the reduced mummy spawn rate. Big Mistake. I’m irritated I waited over 24 hours to update, and now irritated I didn’t have the option to update over the weekend. I left my town up in my game last night, checking every 10 minutes or so while watching tv, and have cleared over 5,000 idols in just over 14 hours (7 of those I was sleeping). I’m going to try to cram in as much as I can before this weekend ends so I can see what the final two prize targets will be in order to find a reasonable daily target. I’m getting a lot more female mummies now. Pre-update, I’d have a couple in the morning and that was it. Now if I leave my game running for 5 minutes I’ve got at least 2 in the town, and twice now one of the females has dropped 40 idols.
By the way, I’ve spent no money on this game, am at level 39, 225K+ coins, 46 clams, 32,500 idols, all costumes (except for 80’s Cleveland). Using the free clams I’ve received, I bought Jake and the Brain-Damaged Horse. It is possible to enjoy this game without spending real money. Relax and have fun!

Seriously? Another app store update? It’s almost as if TinyCo is making this up as they go along, why couldn’t this have been part of the last update but released on a timestamp basis? How many updates for this event so far? And how many more are still to come?

A couple other reports of this as well. Make sure you file an in-game report on it so they know as well. Hopefully it can be fixed soon!

The drop rates for Cleveland 80s seem to be about “normal” Getting shoes easily and only 1 of the other 2 items so far!! Grr

I’m glad there’s something else to finally do, it was getting pretty dull. Overall though I’m looking forward to this event ending now just to be able to get on with another new district.

I got close to 100000 booty already so I think already earned my last two prizes n finished all quest but yes I used quite some money to get where I’m at so getting outfit shouldn’t b so difficult

I’m looking forward to having dance floors on both sides of my gay pride float. I’d have been happy with just a new quest line as things were getting a little boring, but I’ll take this. Now if only they’ll stop sitting on what the final two prizes are. I’m also surprised 80s Cleveland didn’t come with a journal update. Randomness complete.

I can’t wait to unlock this outfit. Granted I’m a child of the 80s so I’m nostalgic but between that and the actual episode it was in I’m willing to spend clams if needed to get it. I’m hoping Cleveland and Peter have a task together with something to do with Molly Ringwald.

If you have an apple and Android device you get double the mummies but you have to clear half on one device and half on the other. And android and apple mummie spawn times are different. One final thing, My apple device is not allowing me to acesse my town it says please update though the new update is an ingame one.

Got the same thing on my phone. Declining to update was no longer an option. And they changed the app’s permissions somehow, but I don’t pay too much attention to that stuff….

I am playing on IOS and I haven’t done the update yet so that I could continue to get more mummies but for me the new Cleveland costume task came anyway and I am already earning items towards it, so it seems you may not need to do the update for this costume.

Gosh darn it!!!!!!!!!! To get the butts I need to get the party pyramid I need to keep sending all my charicters on there best butt per hour tasks, but to make my party pyramid deisign perfect I need to get the new outfit which in turn will ruin my butt income. It will also probobly ruin my chances of getting the lotus pond and other items I would like! Why tiny co? WWWWWHHHHHHYYYYYY!?!?!?!?

What a great surprise! This outfit is from a great scene, in the series. I hope I’ll be able to collect all those items in time, to unlock this outfit and the building/dance floor, that goes with it. I am much more excited about these, than the Egyptian things. I am on iOS and haven’t done the update, since I like getting buttloads of mummies and don’t like the odds of the Sarcophogi.

At least these are only rare items & relatively short (4 hr) task times. Shouldn’t be too hard to get this outfit.

The amount of complaining is pretty ridiculous. If I remember correctly, the “rare” stuff that was required to get Cleveland to begin with dropped extremely frequently. Even if you didn’t have the three buildings. With that being said, 12days 19hours is where the timer stands now. That is MORE than enough time to get this outfit, especially with one of the items being common. On top of that, the event has been going on for almost 3 weeks, more than enough time to collect butts if you’ve been doing the best butts-per-hour tasks. Even more so if anyone splurged for a medium or higher shrine. A lot of unnecessary complaining it seems.

It is all how you perceive it. You see complaints. I see a very specific point in that there is a LOT going on. I do agree with that. SEVERAL tasks overlapping and characters all over the place. Not everyone can live within their game and have other “real life” obligations. So I see it from all perspectives. For those that play just once or twice daily, it is a lot to do. For an Addict…not so much. No reason to down play what others see in their games and game play. 😉

I wouldn’t really consider 4hr tasks “living in the game” myself, but to each their own. Again, not everyone should be able to get everything. The people who put more time into a game, as with almost any other game ever made, should receive more. I don’t see that as a “harsh” penalty as all. I’m not attempting to put anyone down for their thinking at all, however, the self entitlement attitude of everyone should be able to get everything no matter how much or little they play is shocking (not necessarily coming from you). Regardless, even if people don’t have the time, a months long event is plenty. 13 days is quite a bit of time. Most people can afford 1-2mins every 4hours to send characters on 4hour tasks. If they want the items enough, they will make it work. Just my opinion though.. 😜

I work, and I’m not complaining, just stating an observation. Even bunny agrees. I’m just saying TSTO gives you plenty of time and I know people who haven’t unlocked Cleveland yet. Some people can’t check their game every hour. We all want to get the cool stuff, but 15 rare items, and there’s two different ones that are rare? I will have to see, but I had to spend 270 clams to unlock Cleveland as I was afraid of missing out on the event. Just saying. If you are able to play every hour, than good for you. Most people who have jobs can’t. When I wasn’t working, I could play every hour. So congrats to all that are unemployed and have money for clams: you are having a slight advantage. That’s all people are saying. Do we hate the game? No. Will we stop playing? No. But they should probably extend it, as I’m seeing that I’ll never get enough butts to get all the cool items unless I drop some cash. At least I have a job and have money for clams, I guess… 🙂

The stuff to get Cleveland took forever. Particularly the inner tubes and the bathtubs. And then to level him up you have to spam his ONLY TASK over and over every ten minutes until at least 3rd level. Does no one have a job any more? Butts shouldn’t be a problem unless you’ve bought/are saving for other butt idol items. And if you just got through making Cleveland, Quagmire is the only one getting you those common shoes, since Cleveland won’t be high enough level yet.

Really? Personally I think it seems pretty reasonable, especially compared to the amount of items needed to unlock Cleveland in the first place. Perhaps it could be made easier by adding more tasks with potential to drop the items, but we still have almost two weeks.

It’s really not that much. There’s two weeks to go and each item has two characters that can earn it. Should be no trouble getting the 20 Dancing Shoes as are common and require a 1hr task.
The other two are rare and have a 4hr task time. In a perfect world, you’d earn two every four hours meaning you’d be done in 32 hours. Obviously that’s not going to happen (sometimes the item won’t drop and you probably won’t be checking in every four hours. Gotta sleep after all)
But even so, there’s plenty of time for you to earn this costume and who knows, maybe in a week there’ll be some extra ways to earn Stuff.
