Well, we’ve all made it through another “work week” (kinda, sorta, almost) and the weekend looms large up ahead. All week we field your comments about your frustrations in the game (What the event isn’t going to be released on Android for a WEEK?!) and we wanted to give you (and us) a fun new way for you to voice your frustrations and get it all off of your chest. So welcome to What the Hell?!
-Getting REALLY annoyed that you haven’t unlocked Stewie yet?

Here’s my What the Hell?! For this week:
-Oh boy…this Tea Party Event. That in itself is enough for a what the hell, BUT it gets better. 2 boxes left. Open my 2nd to last box, FINALLY won Rupert. Placed the Salon. Game crashes! I lost Rupert!!! When I redid the box I won the other prize. What the hell?! (I eventually used 40 clams to unlock Rupert)
-Two weeks in and STILL only 1 Leather Glove has dropped between Mid life Crisis Lois and Joe. Two weeks and 1 frakkin Glove….at this rate I’ll unlock Stewie sometime around Halloween…WHAT THE HELL?!
-And finally…to our garbage man. Why is it that you ALWAYS leave the lid open on the can when you empty it whenever it’s raining? You never have an issue closing it when it’s bright and sunny out….it’s only when it’s frakkin POURING outside that you decide it’s fun to leave the lid open. Thus causing the can to fill with water. Seriously dude, what the hell?!

WTH about the Tea Party event! I had very few prizes left that with that extra could’ve undoubtedly unlocked Rupert but I had no idea that extra day was out and everybody was doing long tasks that couldn’t help win Rupert 😦 on the other hand I think my town isn’t too shabby 😉

My WTH is did anyone notice that Quagmire’s Watch Netchix action is now 20hrs instead of 12? And the action now only produces blueprints on regular Quagmire but not on bathrobe Quagmire? I’ve been having Bathrobe Quagmire on 12 hr Netchix binges for what seems like weeks now, and now that I’m only 10 blueprints and one plutonium away from Stewie, they do this??!! WTH, Tiny Co?!!

I just noticed that change today too. Totally lame. I’m guessing they originally meant to have Q’s 20h task as the task for this item because all other taks to earn blueprints are 20h, but mixed it up because there’s another task with Bathrobe Q by the same name. Thought it was a nice lil glitch for us to take advantage of but alas no more

AHHHHHH! I am a little upset.
Until a few days ago I hadn’t spent more than a few dollars on this game, but because I love this Comic-Con event so much I thought I’d bite the bullet and be ahead of the game by buying the 400 clam Blam! truck. I wasn’t overly comfortable spending so much on it, but it was the best option available so at least it would be worth it, right?
Then they release the cool little tiki bar! I definitely would’ve spent more on the jump to 700 clams, but now after spending 400 there’s no way I’m spending another 20+ dollars within a few days of my last big buy.
It wouldn’t be so bad if it was maybe a few more Blam drops than the one I bought, but 250 in 8 hours?!? And mine is only 100 in 6 hours?!
WHAT THE HELL?!
Anyway, love the game, but holy moly.
Also, been reading the blog for a while now and just haven’t commented. Nice work you’re doing here 🙂

Ever since the fricking Superhero update, the damn game keeps crashing! I lost 20000 coins, can’t fix Funland, can’t get Stewie, Meg’s a pain in the ass and Carter still needs sugar! I can’t do anything about it because they won’t fix the damn bugs!!!

I don’t mind having to put in the work on getting the stuff to unlock the characters, I just don’t appreciate the fact that you have to do it for like 5x’s + before you can get anything. It seams like all the time it’s happening now. I placed all characters thay were available 6x’s already to drop jewels and only got 2 of them to drop. Why play if it doesn’t work? I understand that it won’t be every time but come on wth once in a blue moon b4 anything drops!

Which game? TSTO has that known issue where it crashes pretty much every time you start the game. And FG crashes here and there on some devices that lack a little extra memory:

What THE Hell!!! My Blam isnt collecting correctly!!! Ive watched it and it frequently does not increase the amount of Blam I have whether it’s the current amount I have or the overall total amount I have collected during the event so it’s as if Im not collecting any Blam at all!!! I have no idea of what to do. I contacted TinyCo but havent received a response yet. Im so disappointed right now, whats the point of me having my fingers glued to the game trying to collect Blam if the game itself isnt counting it -__- this is ruining my chances for prizes!!!

It’s a known bug that is effecting some players. They are working on it. Keep track of your collected Blam and add it to your message in the thread you opened. They run a light crew on weekends and are quite busy fixing the bugs. Hang in there. Expect a reply no sooner than Monday.

My WTH moment is getting a notice saying. Come back to Quahog quick Joe has fallen and its pretty bad. Knowing full well that I just sent everyone on doing there activities and closing the game not 5 minutes beforehand. Just to rub it in by saying.
“Hey see that area over there that is empty? That it isn’t for you for another week awww too bad for you hahahaha.”
And do they do this to me just once oh no they have done this to me everytime I have closed the app so far this weekend. So rude.

Well my what the hell is stewie. I had no problem with gloves dropping for falconer peter or costume for Brian. But these plutonium green pieces of stick are starting to get on my nerves. I have needed 5 for well over a week and not one has dropped since. ITS ALL I NEED TO UNLOCK THE LITTLE FOOTBALL HEADED WORLD DOMINATOR. AAARRRRRGGHHHH!!!!!!

Me, too. I have 3 after what seems like 100 attempts. Then i finish one early (with nothing dropped) and see 16 clams to try again. And so i do. 6 times. Nothing. Broken.

My WTH.. I FINALLY unlocked bobs funland and now have to collect stuff for Stewie.. I still need to unlock PB and J brian and Falconer Peter not to mention Patrick Steward.. This is GOING to be a huge challenge..WTH????

Some of my friends have a couple of things I have not seen nor can purchase: The Chicken Coop restaurant, and what looks like a series of Jurassic Park themed items such as a fence, watch tower, and car. Are these for Android users only, because they’re pretty cool? Can anyone let me know.

About two months before the official release, the game was beta tested. The chicken coop, Jurassic jeep and much more was made available to the beta players. You my also be seeing “modified/altered” game.

WTH? No Friday night update? Why am I still up? And I had to dig out my six-year-old MacBook to kick the tires on Yosemite, which is telling me it will be 32 degrees tomorrow for the high? In Vegas? Kinda doubt it… not even 32 celsius. But seriously, you’re going to love Yosemite and iOS 8. Oh, you’ll be laughing that it took Apple so long to catch up if you use a Moto X and Chrome. Now if I could only get a flashlight option from the lock screen on the Moto X without talking to it. C’mon Google! The people at Fatburger charged me menu price for fries and drink tonight instead of the bundled meal price, but I may or may not have used a groupon there more than once so I shouldn’t complain. Not my fault they don’t redeem the groupons I print out and give to them. Also, the nozzle from the tea dispenser fell into my drink. The girl reached into the cup and pulled it out, finished filling it up, then tried to hand it to me. I was all like, umm… nope, and she was all like, uhh… what? Short story long, she made me a new drink. Why is foursquare two separate apps now? I don’t even know which one to use. WTH?

My WTH has nothing to do with the game.
So I pulled a muscle in my inner thigh (sadly not doing anything that deserved the pain). Can’t see the doctor until Tuesday.
“Heat and rest, don’t walk on it” they said as temp relief. The no walking thing is a pain in the arse as I don’t drive but I digress.
So I lather my thigh up with deep heat and get an empty plastic milk bottle (screw top) with warm water in it to place on the injured area.
Somehow…. the top of the bottle unscrewed and I ended up sitting in a puddle. WTH?
On the plus side, the Crusaders are beating the Sharks.

Is everybody assuming that even though Android waits a week, the end date will be the same? Because I’m pretty sure Android will get the full 46 days. 39 days isn’t enough in theory for a full event. If it is, Android users will get opportunity for more, faster Blam…I mean, they’d have to. 100k is a lot.
Let them ramp up Blam accumulation as the event goes on. If you could get 2500+ per day as a freemium player, you wouldn’t need to make any building decisions. You would be sitting on a pile of unspent Blam after 5 days. That doesn’t sound fun.
The only ones with a real potential time advantage is the hybrid player. I bought a used iOS device before the event (mainly because I’m a completionist and Golden Suit Peter was taunting me) so I could enjoy the event.
I’ve come up with a ‘what the hell?’ as the above comments are just observations and the like.
Tinyco changing building prices and delaying the 700 clamblam item was kiiinnddaaaa crappy. People who spent 400 on the big truck should ask for AND receive some sort of trade in (big truck + 300 clams) option. Hell, currency items should always be available to upgrade. You would eliminate 100% of the bitterness. Eating a few bucks worth of bad clam spending is easy for most people to shake off, but feeling tricked after a fat 400 purchase? That’s where you get instant uninstalls.
Also, WTH, I fell asleep on accident 😦 missed a few precious hours 😦 plus I didn’t eat still so my stomach lining is virtually gone!! On the hunt for some pizza. I’ll ask my Bonnie, she has been twerking it for pizza nonstop.

Oh, once they start releasing decorations that cost BLAM, don’t rush and blow all your BLAM at once.
Anyone remember the booty box? I had 56k butts and an 80k total. 14 tries got me both stautues, a few other decos AND another 21k butts (which resulted in MORE attempts and another 10k butts). The jello shot event was cool but not long enough (Tinyco seems to learn from previous experiences), but it existed.
Have some patience and don’t get overwhelmed by the 100k goal! Enjoy this crazy awesome event!!

I have to ask this…
You ACTUALLY spend REAL money on this game? I mean, seriously… I spent $50 (had coupon) on GTA5, and have been playing it several times a week and it never gets old. I have not spent one damn penny on Family Guy: Quest for stuff, play about 30 minutes day, spread out over several visits, and all I ever do is tap little bubbles. For some reason, it’s addictive, but there is just no way in hell I will spend more than $2 on this game in total. Some people are either too wealthy or too stupid, or both.

Enjoyment, like art or other intangible things in life is completely subjective. I, like many others, spend money on games like this, because it gives us pleasure. Nothing more, nothing less. I am neither rich nor stupid. As is true for most of the other readers of this blog.

I have GTA 5, like you, and I spent the money on it. I played it ’til I got bored and felt I had gotten my money’s worth.
With FG:QS, it’s free so spending the money is supporting it. I play it everyday and if I decide to spend a couple bucks a month or so on it then why would that be stupid. At least with this game you get updates often. GTA took a long time to get updates going and then took what seemed like an extra year to release things that were promised at launch.

What the hell I just clicked on Patrick Stewart to see you were my progress was for wlizard books and pizza slices and accidentally hit the blam icon and the thousand blam I had saved to rebuild the convention center but I couldn’t do yet because I already had my two workers on other projects went towards the goal of unlocking Patrick Stewart and now I’m down to like 12 blam again 😦

Joe finally dropped gloves! And it was the very last item I needed for Falconer Peter!
And the new update fixed the glitch I was having with Stewie’s voice cutting out after the first syllable!
And I’m just two sugar packets away from unlocking Carter!

Where to begin? Obviously the android comic-con is annoying. But that just scratches the surface. I spent the clams to speed up pb&j Brian and started him on his Stewie task, only to then accidentally spend clams on stewie right after. Wasted all those clams for no reason. In RL news, on Tuesday a woman decided to go through a stop sign and completely totally my car. Now I have whiplash and get to deal with the hell that is insurance claims and possible lawsuits.

Everything is over priced in this game…and I wasted most of my clams speedING up tasks the last night of the tea party only to not get rupert, instead got everything g else and the #$:#//ing koi pond twice. And the time delays and repetitive tasks really only turn a game with an hour or two of actual content into an endless south park style dragon chase.

The Blam! Sommelier Station is 700 clams?! That’s a little over $20! What the hell? I’m usually up for buying most of the premium stuff, but that’s taking it a little far. For a price like that, it should net you WAY over the price of the final prize. (Not to mention it drops what the Large Shrine did, and that was only 400.) What happened? Did they spend a good chunk of their money hiring these celeb voice overs, and they’re trying to make it back?
Got them before they went up, but I think upping the price of Chutes and Lads and A’Buncha Junk was also a cheap move.
Time to farm like crazy and hope I make it to 100,000 Blam! Because I refuse to pay THAT much.

I was upset about the delay for android but after reading some of the WTHs I’m happy for the delay. Hopefully I’ll have Stewie unlocked by then thus freeing up everyone for the new collectibles and the blam. I just unlocked Carter today and falcon Peter yesterday. 🙂
I do have a WTH over Rupert. while I appreciate the extra day, not knowing when the switch would happen really messed up my planning. It was a lot of wasted hours spent NOT getting Rupert. WTH
On the plus side I did get the Stewie’s billboard I was planning on buying.

I noticed TinyCo increased the price for the special items: I bought the Chutes and Lands building for 25 clams and I needed only 2 more clams to buy A’Buncha Tools that was costing the same. Now both buildings cost 50 clams! What the hell?!
I’m not sure, but I also think they increased the price of the Blam! Truck and the Blam! Super Truck.
I didn’t like that!

What the hell is up with iOS users complaining about the Comic-Con event & slow drop rates? At least the don’t have to wait a week. (I told myself I wasnt going to get green with envy but in all actuality I’m seething jealousy).
& what the hell is up with people who think they can take down a 6-pound burger challenge wasting my time to come & take a picture when they have can’t even make it halfway through?

Unlocking characters and costumes isn’t a problem for me. I was able to get Ruppert on the extra day Tiny CO gave us. Unlocked Carter and Falconer Peter. Not too close to unlock Stewie but I can wait.
I’m just annoyed that I have to lie in bed next to my girlfriend as she gets a head start into the event since she has an iPhone and I have an Android. It’s Not Fair! IT’S JUST NOT FAIR!!! What ever this special thing for Android users is, it better be awesome.

If you really want to play now on android just log in on an apple device for like a minute and than go back to the android. It is a glitch but mums the word we don’t want them taking it away. It will tell you to update the android but for many this works just thought you would like to know

Middle of day 2 I’ve got 1500+ blam. Looks like 1000/day is the average. I even bought the 400 clam truck. This pace keeps up going to b impossible to get the 100,000 blam prize. Also having an issue with the plutonium rods not dropping. WTH!!!!!!

I bought the 400 clam truck as well and now they have a new 700 clam sommelier, this is way to expensive and presenting this after day 2 and after we already bought the 400 clams truck is WTH, WTH. 😦 :-(. 😦

Might be a response to people saying they won’t make it. Just the quick math though…it earns 250 Blam!/8hrs for 700 clams. The truck is 100 Blam!/6hrs for 400 clams. 2 trucks would be 800 clams and only earn you 200 Blam!. This is slightly better pricing, and earns more 🙂

WTH? That’s right up tree with the whale in TSTO that I regret buying to this day….. Look I do alright but what is that like $20? I’m glad the App Store and Google Play are going to no longer be using the moniker “Free to Play”. I really hope not too many players get the sommelier as they are obviously testing the waters here. Don’t mind spending $60 on a PS4 game but won’t spend that kinda money on a Vita or tablet/smartphone game. That being said I’ve probably spent about $100 on this and I really do t want to think about how much I’ve spent on TSTO!

Just popped into Google Play and saw an update. My heart raced… could it be TinyCo has decided to right this horrible wrong and go ahead and give us Android folks the Comic-Con update. It wasn’t the Comic-Con update 😦 What this update does is to now let Android user visit updated iOS friends’ towns. Great, now I can go see what I can’t have. Thanks a lot for the spoilers opportunity… WHAT THE HELL ~ TinyCo!!!
Additional WTH… Why must we Android users get Comic-Con slash screens rubbing it in our face several times a day?

luckily i bought the hardware store and chutes and lads last night. I got over 1700 blame before I fell asleep at 4 am. HOWEVER, this was in between my daughter throwing up (every 20 minutes or so until about 4.) so WHAT THE HELL!?!? I have no idea why. Big mystery. She’s all good now.
I’m not good with vomit. My brain likes to think it’s a group activity. Luckily, this time, I did NOT join in.

The stupid Blam collection is crazy. Theres only a few characters that drop em from tasks and very little at that. ive been checking constantly for nerds too and i barely collected 600 total.
Surprisingly i’ve had good luck with the “extra rare” items like the glove and plutonium needed for the 2 new costumes and Stewie, but this event is gonna delay that just like the tea party one did.

Cleveland apparently can’t be gotten after kotfm event. My Friend started this game with a day left in that event and hasn’t been able to get him. Didn’t realize a charector that popular was just limited time. I love the game but a charector that inegral to the series being limited. Come on. Love the game and this site. Maybe your voices will be heard on this matter.

Happened with Kingdom of the Golden Moon and is now happening again here. Why do Tinyco make it so that the characters you need to do tasks to unlock other characters/outfits are ALWAYS the same ones that can collect the unique currency?
Seriously, no one can have unlocked both Stewie and Carter (without spending clams) plus both of Peter/Brians new outfits. Yet all the people that we need to get stuff for those tasks (Peter, Bonnie, Chris, Bruce, Quagmire, Jerome) are the ONLY ones that can collect Blam. And if you put them on the longer item tasks you are basically never going to get all of the prizes as a freemium player.
I have a ton of other characters that are doing nothing but collecting cash so why not assign some tasks to them? Same with the premium characters, we could get Butts with them last time but this time they are useless. What gives?
Hope they iron out some of the kinks. For now I;ve got everyone on Blam conscious tasks so if I NEED Stewie/Carter to do an SDCC event in the near future I’ll have no chance and be pretty mad.

WTH because Apple probably paid some apps for exclusives to announce with the I phone 6 I am probably not going to have a chance at getting the big prizes…and probably will get yet another skin for Peter as a condolence prize…WTH I get a text asking why I am not playing this event from Tinyco..go check and nope still have to wait a week…WTH come to my favorite site here to check with what is going on…and the answer is nothing for Android users like myself WTH what no strategies on what to do as I send my three people on constant tasks once to twice a day to collect the only thing I need…blueprints. Love the game (obviously) and will see how this plays out but if the lack of a week causes me to have no chance at top prizes then the next event we have again only gives apple users the only chance then my understanding will start to go away quickly lol. Last Friday I had zero plutonium. Zero. In the week that has passed I got ten. WTH. They were dropping so often I checked to see if they were still extra rare. Common blueprints though, do not drop. I have ten of thirty despite having Herbert and Bruce on the task constantly and quagmire occasionally. It’s very frustrating to send a character on a twenty hour task and come away without a common item consecutively. Awwwww what…the…Hell.
Loving the new event. Not worried about the slow trickle of blam! Yet.

Yes! Same thing happening in my game. I have 9 plutonium but only 11 blueprints. This morning woke up to collect up to 3 and… none dropped. So mad. WTH is up with 20 hour tasks to collect a common item that seems decidedly not uncommon??

Started collecting blam last night, and out of nowhere, I lost 45 blams for no reason wht?!?

Android users can not play the new event, yet we visit our neighbors and have to see the event happening for others…WTH? Doing multiple 12-24 tasks with no rewards dropping….WTH? Have a nice weekend. 🙂

I’m having a similar problem with the plutonium & didn’t even realize it until you pointed it out lol. Brian hasn’t dropped one in over a week…yikes!
I know what you mean about the TSTO moaning…i figure if you’re that upset with a game why play it? Life’s much more fun when you’re not constantly looking to find faults in everything (or everyone) 🙂

The price of chutes and lads and buncha tools hardware has doubled! What the hell?? I purchased chutes and lads for the reasonable price of 25 clams like 12 hours ago, and was thinking about getting the hardware store. However, when I logged on earlier this morning, the price of them was 50 clams.
50 clams for two item dropping buildings is a great deal to add some variety to your Quahog as well as earn items. But since we only need 6 rare drinks and 8 rare nails its just not worth it to spend that many clams now.

Little over 24 hours since I updated and I’ve only manage collect a little over 1400 blimp but somebody posted yesterday in order to win all of the prizes have to be making 20 100-2200 plan my day so I’m already too far behind to have any chance of winning everything without buying a blam truck or two 😦

Kindle user here and am wondering where the hell is Cleveland?? Also like someone who commented before me used 50 clams on the tea party event, which was basically all my clams, on the last day because it was supposed to end at 9 then when it doesn’t feel like I could have spent clams in a better way since there was no need to rush them like I thought. Though I appreciate the extra day and all the gifts hoping maybe we can have a way to easily earn those and perhaps more clams back somehow and/or something to kind of compensate. Other than that loving the game so far can’t wait for the new update kinda wish we could get it and time as ios but it is what it is. Thanks so much for this site as well absolutely love it and love this idea of a place to express concerns and things that just irk you. Thanks again && happy gaming!!
