Hello There Clammers!
It’s nerd city in Quahog these days as the Comic-Con Event is upon us! Not only have the nerds invaded the streets of Quahog, but celebrities are popping up all over the place! For 500 Clams Bryan Cranston will make an appearance in your Quahog too! (what’d you think he’d be free?!)
Personally, I’m a HUGE fan of this aspect of the Comic-Con Event. I think it’s incredibly awesome to see guest stars make appearances, as playable characters, in TQFS! It adds a level of excitement to the game, and I’m loving every minute of it! Can’t wait to see how the others make their grand entrances!
While you don’t have to unlock Bryan by collecting STUFF, you do have to shell out clams for him! So let’s tap lightly as we take a closer look at Bryan….
As mentioned above Bryan is one of the few characters during Comic-Con that will not require you to collect STUFF to unlock. Instead he’ll just set you back 500 Clams…and instantly unlock!
He’s also one of the few characters who immediately comes with his chair. (note: once the event is over the other chairs will unlock for the characters you had to collect stuff for)
So now that we know HOW to unlock Bryan Cranston, let’s take a look at his tasks once he’s unlocked:

Once you purchase Bryan he’ll start up his own questline, Methods of a Badass. It’s a short 3 part questline, but still pretty funny. Here’s the quick walkthrough for it:

And with that you’ve completed Bryan’s questline….and now he can go and earn TONS of pesticides for you!

My game stopped having any new tasks after getting bryan in the banana suit. Also the game asks if I want the bryan Cranston character, but no way to get his chair. I’m at a stand still.

After District 8 is complete you’ve completed the main game up to this point. They’ll be opening district 9 sometime after the event is over, but it’s not open yet and no way to get it opened until TinyCo updates it…This walkthrough should help you determine if you have everything done for District 8
As far as Cranston goes, you’ll have to purchase him via the store for 500 Clams. His chair comes with him, but the only way to get both is to purchase from the store for 500 clams.

Has anyone referred to him as Bryan Clamston yet? Also, I just rewatched the episode of Seinfeld, where he plays a dentist; He’s much younger and has a lot of hair! Funny stuff.

Bryan Cranston is seriously a good buy, he was 500 clams for me when he first arrived and only had to buy 275 clams to enable unlock (had previously spent none besides the second worker). I do not regret it, what with the minions and bombs I generally go up at least 5k a day, since yesterday morning it has been 20k :3 He is very much worth it, especially as he’ll go towards getting 100 clams back anyway

I’m a little worried by some of the language I’ve seen used with the celebrities: “cameo,” “guest star,” etc. We do get to keep the celebrities we buy/unlock after the event is over with, right?

Because Stan Lee ALWAYS does a cameo in his films. So he is known as the King of Cameos. Just a title. You get to keep all you unlock and have live wandering your town. 😉

In my opinion, he’s not worth the money. I’m a Freemium player and haven’t spent a single dime on the game, but I’m already at 90,000 Blam. I’ve used a combination of character tasks and quests, vanquishing Giant Stewie, and squashing minion Stewies.
At the beginning of the event I was almost certain that I wouldn’t be able to get George Takei, but TinyCo has done an amazing job of listening to the fans and giving us a bunch of opportunities to complete this event.
Unless you’re a huge Bryan Cranston fan, save those clams for something better. Seems like TinyCo drops the best stuff at the end of their events.

I’m a daily freemium player on android and only 6K away from getting George Takei, having spent no hard earned clams thus far. I want Nate Fillion more than Cranston, so I’ll wait until he’s released to decide if it’s worth it to buy them both. Really hoping Fillion won’t be the same price, as it’s toward the end of the event and most people are doing very well with the addition of the minions. If so, then I can’t justifiably buy Cranston, though I really would love to see him toss pizzas on the Griffin roof. The whole comic con event has been great. And seriously, if Bruce Campbell was an option, I would HAVE to make a purchase, even though I don’t believe in investing real sums of money in phone games. I just wouldn’t be able to help myself.

I got Cranston from the begging and I have collected Takei already, and there is still so much time left. Well worth the clams if you ask me, plus since Breaking Bad he is one of my favorite actors. I am curious about Nathan Fillion, and the cost, today I finally unlocked Stan Lee so now I wait for the rest of the vehicles. So far this has been a good event.

Trailers are tied to the event, but who knows. TinyCo is sneaky. For now, I think they go with the event.

I’ve been buying trailers I didn’t really need for unlocking the character items, just because I wanted a nice collection of trailers for the characters as I unlocked them? Are they going to disappear after I paid real money for them? WTF?

They go… as in you cant buy them once the event is gone. So if you want them, you have to buy them during the event. You get to keep what you buy.

I purchased him for 300 clams as well when he first hit the game he is very useful for the pesticides for giant mutant stewie. Is it known if the other chairs will give coins and xp and if Mr. Cranston and Mr. Takei will get trailers like the other characters.

Hey…some of the greats were in black n white. Bogart, Grant, Heburn, Tracy…thought he’d be cool to toss in. Some kinda black n white character roaming. Freak Peter out and Brian would adore him.

He is ONLY known as Captain Jack now. He has no other name. If he’s in the game, I have to share…nuh uh. MINE!! LOL. (And no…I meant a Barrymore. As in Drew’s relative.)
Warrick is great. Eccleston played other roles better. Never could see him as the Doc.
Bruce is another cool one.

I did love his portrayal of the Doc, don’t get me wrong. Very dark…he just was another character to me so it was hard to see him as the doc. Much like Daniel will ALWAYS be Harry Potter and John will ALWAYS be Captain Jack now. Lol.

Where is she on the quests? What part of Giant Stewie’s quest is she on? Did she complete the final 3 defeats and get the pop up for Enfant Terrible part 6 done? Check the task bar on the left side. See what tasks are still outstanding.

Any word yet on If Quagmire’s Multiplier costume will show up with Fillion this Thursday? Also will Fillion be like Cranston in terms of buying him for clams or will stuff have to be collected to unlock him? Thanks!

I just can’t see them adding more prizes to the automatic blam item drops ending with George T.. Most people will have 30-40k blam left over when they hit the 100k..thinking a few more buildings or items the next few weeks, maybe a chance at earning Nathan F., and probably some kind of blam gamble device that allows you to use blam for chances for prizes. Have a feeling that getting George Takei was an epic win for Tinyco..with him announcing being in the game to the millions that follow him the number of new players had to explode and because of it they want as many people to have a great experience during this event..probably why its easier thanI thought it was going to be getting the 100k…just an opinion

I’d say more like 50k to 60k. I have 138,000+ total and 76,000+ left over after buying everything once that I can with blam. Worst investments I made are Blam trucks. Best investment is Bryan Cranston. I’m getting atleast 2,500 blams a day from giant Stewie. Some days 5,000. That doesn’t count other sources. I was dumb and wasted clam(real money) at the beginning. I figured I need 2,100+ blams a day to get 100,00 before the end. So I bought 3 Blam super trucks before the Blam station was released. I then bought the Blam station. Trucks suck because of the 6 hour cycle time so I miss one cycle a night sleeping. The station wasn’t to bad being 8 hours. At the beginning it seemed kind of worth it. I just would have bougth 2 stations and no trucks. I was averaging 3,000+ blams a day so that gave me a nice cushion if I have days I couldn’t play to the fullest. But when Giant Stewie came out and now the bombing. I’ll might be at 300,000+ blams by the end.
I’m play another game that I’m doing not a that I’m not playing full out and only spent $5 on. I’m at 14,000 blams. I may buy Bryan on that one to see if I can get to 100,000.

I would be shocked if TinyCo didn’t add additional unlockable prizes near the end, they did during the Moon event (Gorilla and King Butts).
This is the first event I spent money on for clams. I bought the cheapest Blam truck and Bryan Cranston. Both were worth it to me. Bryan is great, no regrets on that one.
I wish Meg had a superheroine costume. I know she is supposed to be the unloved character, but she needs some costumes, maybe one that would make her super popular. SuperPop Girl?

In essence, I look at Bryan Cranston’s 500 clams as two unlockable characters, because he essentially gives you George Takei at the end if you follow up on his 2 hours. Two characters for 500 clams? I’ll take it.

His cost increased to 500?!!! I was short of the 300 mark at first, bought what clams I could to get me close. Today I finally passed the 300 mark, and I got all excited and went to buy him, and now I can’t! 😦

I bought him straight away when he was only 300 clams and I’ve not regretted it as I’m now at 80K Blam and most of that is from climbing up to the 25x multiplier once a day thanks to all the pesticides he drops (literally that is the only task I have him on over and over again!). Incidentally, thanks for the tip about not going for the 29 pesticide multiplier – you get much more blam by building up from 1x to 25x in one go and then waiting a day for it to reset rather than trying to keep the 25x going at 29 pesticides a go.
I feel sorry for the people that didn’t get him at 300 clams though, my wife included, as 500 does seem a lot of clams to part with for a character that only comes with a tiny chair. Why not a Winnebago (would go nicely with the other trailers), or a meth lab, or a car wash, or a house covered in tarp or any number of other Breaking Bad references? If he came with a cool building/decoration as well then 500 clams would be a no-brainer for this event (people without him may even struggle to get George Takei), but with only a tiny chair I think they were right with their original price of 300 clams…

Couldn’t resist him and bought it as soon as he arrived. I really do believe he’s the key to my Blam success as I have already unlock George T. , and on android to boot! Didn’t buy any other premium items.

I really hope nathan fillion doesnt cost 500 clams or more, especially since he’s being released near the end of the event. I might have bought him at 500 if he came out same time as cranston, but now the extra blam and pesticides are hardly worth it since im already at 75000 blam.
It would be really great if you could earn some kind of bonus after the 100k mark, either extra clams or something you could use toward a premium character. Or maybe a sale during the last days of the event.
Also, i dont know if anyone else said this, but im sad they didnt unlock mayor west for this event. The original batman seems like an obvious participant in comic con!!! Esp if they ha an aged batman skin for him.
Oh well, enjoying this event overall. Looking forward to unlocking stan the man and takei.

This is totally unrelated but is anyone else having problems with the game crashing about 30 seconds after opening? I’m using an iPad Air so there shouldn’t be any problems with memory. I’ve been playing on iPad for just over a month and up until today I’ve had no problems. I’ve contacted tinyco and tried the whole reloading/reinstalling process etc but the game still crashes. Is this happening to anyone else?

Bryan Cranston is probably the best premium purchase for this event. Since he’ll drop 4 pesticides every 2 hrs and earn double blam! 🙂
