As I write this I’m sitting at the airport terminal on my way to a much needed end of summer mini vacation. Don’t worry all your questions will still be answered..we never truly take a vacation from the blogs!
Anyway…we finally got confirmation from TinyCo on several of your Iron Baby questions. So no time like the present to share them with you….
Do you need to have Stewie unlocked to get Iron Baby?
Yes and no. Yes, in that without Stewie you can’t use the skin in your town. But no in that you can unlock Iron Baby now and use him after the event. Just make sure you complete Iron Baby part 1 BEFORE the event is over (even if you don’t have Stewie) and the costume and questline will pick up for you once you unlock Stewie in the game. (In otherwords it will sit “in inventory” until Stewie joins your Quahog)
Tracking Fusion Reactors and Demon Platings.
You can track the number of reactors you currently have via the store. Under the Fusion Reactor it will say how many you have out of 10. (Note the option to purchase them will disappear once you have all 10 that you need)
You can track how many Demon Platings you have via the Iron Baby pt 1 quest box. IF you’re collecting Platings but that number is not increasing, contact TinyCo via in game support to alert them of the glitch.
Fusion Reactors Purchases at the 5000 Blam! Rate.
TinyCo will refund blam! Paid for the higher rate reactors. Send them an in game support ticket to receive it. The ONLY way to get it refunded is to send them an in game support ticket. No ticket no Blam! refund.
Still awaiting word on the Latcher Stewie stuff. As soon as we have it we’ll update THIS post. For now hope this helps many of you!
Will I get credit for the Demonic Plating that drops before I unlock Stewie?
No. The only way for the game to give you credit is to have the pop up in place to tally the counts. Until then there is no way for the game to recognize where they need to go.
UPDATE FROM BUNNY: Hey there all. I am writing this while 35,000 feet in the air also on my way to a “vacation”. Lol. We never stray too far from our lil community so no worries, we’re always around to help regardless. 🙂
Anywho, TinyCo confirmed all the details for us of Latcher Stewie. He still spawns every 3 hours …now every 2 hrs…until a total of 4 are in your town. They will hop to a new building every 2 hours (keep in mind with 4 hanging out or one about to spawn, it is very possible one will take the place of the other that just jumped off of a building).
Now for the pressing issues, if you have a Latcher that just won’t budge or that causes your game to crash, try the basic troubleshooting and if they still won’t budge…alert TinyCo.
Lastly, a few players stated that they were seeing little to no Latchers in your town. If you have waited 8 hours or overnight and still no new Latchers, please contact us right away familyguyaddicts@gmail.com with the following info…
Player ID (Menu, Account, REALLY long number at bottom.) Typed or Screenshot will do. Just make sure we have it all. I am forwarding this info to TinyCo so they can look into the issue on the games impacted. Again make sure you EMAIL us the info, please do NOT put your Player ID in the comments below.
Together we can get on top of these issues and get them corrected ASAP.

So I still need 5 more demon plates to complete iron baby pt1. before the event ends in a few hours (I’m in CST), and I just used 20 modern harpoons, and then 25 high tech ones to unlock George Takai (hooray!), but now I have to wait a whole day for the harpoon requirement limit to drop.. Is there any way I can still get those demon scraps after the event is over with??

I’ve already finished Iron Baby part 1 but demon Stewie keeps dropping green tentacles. I haven’t unlocked Stewie yet and I’m worried that mine is somehow glitched and I won’t be able to get his costume after this event ends.

I’ve sent four separate in-game messages to TinyCo regarding my Blam refund for the Fusion Reactors, going all the way back to August 29. They just released a new Blam Box today, and I would like to be able to spend the 30,000 Blam that I was overcharged for the Reactors. Any suggestions?

If I don’t have a created account will I get a refund sent a ticket yesterday or day before no word on getting blam back or not. Really sucks because I spent all my blam on the reactors and now I can’t get mutant stewie costume

Created one, but hope they get back with me. Started playing right before comcon and spent a fortune trying to get everything and gonna be bummed to loose out on one costume because I didn’t just wait a cpl days to by the reactors

I did the one minute helmet build task and nothing dropped. There is no option to repeat the task and in Al’s it wants 50 clams to do the build. Is this a glitch or did I miss something. I have Stewie unlocked.

It seems very odd. Try a force close and/or restart to see if that helps.

I’ve done that, in Al’s it says 0/1 for the helmet and when I click it, it says currently unavailable, check back in the next district. I have all land cleared / all districts except 9 open / all characters open. I’m on part 6 of fab 4 & part 2 of iron baby (but no helmet)

Send TinyCo and in game message about it. It’s an issue another player had as well. It’s supposed to drop every time but sometimes the game glitches and it won’t. They’ll have to go in and reset the task for you. But only TinyCo can do that, so you’ll have to contact them via in-game support.

Same problem here. Let support know and they just asked for a screenshot. We’ll see what happens. Now I’m stuck at paying 50 clams or waiting for support to sort it out.

I sent a ticket in (“Contact Us”) to get the Blam! refund since I spend 50,000 to get all 10 of the reactors for Iron Baby Stewie Sunday morning (the day before Labor Day, I know) and still haven’t received any Blam! back or even a comment form them to tell me they are working on it. Any suggestions for how to get their attention?

Wait. If you sent it Sunday, that’s a weekend when tech is not in outside limited to keep game running. Not to mention a Holiday weekend. They only got back in yesterday to go through the flood of tickets from all weekend. So just give them time to get to you. At least 3 days from yesterday.

I have a question I couldn’t find answered but sorry if it has been mentioned and I missed it.
After collecting the reactors and plating is that the outfit finished or do you then have to unlock via al harringtons by collecting stuff more stuff? Find it odd that it’s not in there as an outfit.
Hoping it’s the former though as just need 5 more plates which should come tomorrow if I can rack up my harpoons in time.

You need 1 helmet from Stewie. It’s a 1 m task and should drop right away (Did for me anyway). Then it’s just a 10m build…

The questline will stall for you until you unlock Stewie. As long as you’ve completed part 1 of Iron baby you’ll get the suit even after the event is over…

i don’t know if this has already been said but if it has i guess the more people who say it the faster it’ll get fixed … when selecting either Stewie or Iron Baby for Jobs, Iron Baby is about half the size as regular Stewie, just a minor bug but it still needs to be addressed

Demon Plating seems to take a very long time to acquire. I have 7 out of 20 and am only using 3 harpoon battles a day because anything more than that drains the harpoon levels too fast. I let the daily counter reset and start all over. Now I am wondering if I should use more of my 69,000 Blam! on the Blam! Mystery Box in the hopes of getting more harpoons faster than my characters. Wish there was other ways to earn more Demon Plating. At the end of this event, or after acquiring Iron Baby, is there any more use for Blam!? Has TinyCo commented on whether they’re going to convert our Blam! into anything useful after the event?

I believe the Blam Box IS the use for extra Blam to be honest. I do not know if one more will drop, it is possible…but not sure.

I’m on the iPhone, but on joes facespace it has superhero outfit shaded in as a profile pic (I’m sure to be used after unlocked). Any idea if they will be taking this off since he is only available on android? It just sits there taunting me!!:(

Hey guys hope you are enjoying your vacati ons. Just wanted to drip a quick post to anybody who is worried that thwy have not heard back from tiny co about blam or anything I had rhe issue where I never got the action movie set. Sent them a ticket, it did take some time but I finally got it they manually put it in my inventory. So don’t worry they will get to you it just takes time.

Oh, I’m relieved. I finally got the entertainment district unlocked in week two of the event and after grinding through the two costumes unlocked in that area, Rambo Louis and Brian have been non-stop doing their 8 hour tasks to get those pesky plutonium rods (only need four more!). When I saw the news of Iron Baby, I had a mini-heart attack fearing I wouldn’t get Stewie unlocked in time. Of course once I got word that I only needed to finish part 1 of the Iron Baby quest line before the event’s end (thanks guys!), I honestly breathed a sigh of relief! Just need to kill Demon Stewie ten more times which I’m hoping to get to by Thursday.:)

You do realise of course: you don’t have to unlock stewie to get the costume: in the FAQ it says itll be unlocked as soon as you get Stewie even after the event.

Does anyone know how long these limited time character skin stay on till? Like if I don’t finish rollocop before the events will I not get it, Cuz I want to focuse on getting rollocop but that takes half away from my harpoon collecting due to the fact that some character can get both the stuff for rollocop and harpoons.

Yes, you must complete them before the event ends. Anything not fully unlocked will leave with Comic Con

Iron Baby is now running amok in my town & he is sweet, falling flat on his face when his suit malfunctions, makes me giggle. Glad I hoarded up all those harpoons after finishing last week’s challenge.

I am glad robo baby is available to all who put in 40 solid days of gaming. In the beginning we were told we would not need stewie for this event, it would have been pretty messed up to have anyone who joined at the beginning of this event and put in full time and gotten every achievement to be denied the end prize because the final thing required of them was to go back in time and start the game 3 weeks earlier. Had there been some leak that said stewie was required to get the final prize, we could have aimed at 100,000 blam and used the rest of our resources to acquire stewie. I would have been pretty pissed to have 200,000 blam only for it to be worthless for the end prize. Anyways, great event, had an epic time, can’t wait to see what you guys do next 🙂

So lets see if ive got this right. If we bought the reacters at 5000 blam (that are now 2000) we just message them inside of the game and they can see how many we bought at 5000 and refund us the difference??? The ticket thing confused me

Not sure if its a glitch but only demon stewie harpoon it ever asks me for is the middle one (not one with hook or the rocket) I can never hit the bonus bc I run out of those yet have more than 70 of each other ones. Getting really frustrated. Help!?!

There is a chance you will get the same one. You can try to let it time out and reset to see if they change.

Latchers appear every 2-3 hours for me. I don’t do 4 at a time, right now, I’m at 13/25.

Mine still aren’t every two hours. I have in game emails and regular emails into tiny co. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game on both of my devices. I also downloaded tonight’s update. What else can I do?

Haven’t yet completed Demon Child part 5 but Demon Platings are already dropping when I harpoon demon Stewie; will these count towards the amount I need to unlock Iron Baby or will my platings count go to zero once I start Iron Baby part 1?

Won’t count til the info for the Iron Baby is triggered as there is no way of the game being able to tally it until that part pops up.

I just noticed if you clear your town of latcher stewies when a new one shows up you dont have to wait the 4 hrs it lets you zap right away. Cool glitch if thats what it is.

What exactly is an in game support ticket?

It is what TinyCo opens when you contact them. It is basically a note that you need “help”. A way for them to log the messages.

It does. Just give them time to respond. It is going into the weekend and the staff is Limited not to mention it is a holiday. They WILL get to you, just hang in there.

Ive noticed that latcher stewie no longer gives out a harpoon or anything of use like it always did besides blam. That kinda sucks.

As it states in this post, you need to contact them through your game to get a refund if you paid the higher price. Just give them time to respond back as it is not only a weekend, but a Holiday weekend.

I have sent TinyCo and Family Guy Addicts an email because I’m seeing one Latcher every 4-6 hours and once I zap it, that’s it. I’m then getting a message saying The Stewie Monster is Gone. I then have to wait another 4-6 hours for one more to come back. At this rate I’ll never make 25. I’ll never finish the final challenge. Unfair.

Iron Baby shall be mine in less than 6 hours now unless some wicked unfortunate combination of harpoon types thwarts my plan. Mwahahaha!
I am glad, however, they are making him available to players who have not yet unlocked Stewie. It goes to show that Tinyco does listen to its players and tries to make it fair all around.

Try a few steps to just see if your game needs to sync up. Force Close the app. If not, then try to restart your device. Let us know if that helps.

I’ve already sent TC an in game message, but, as usual, when there’s a timed event tied to latchers, it seems the appearance rate drops considerably. I used to have 3 or 4 in my town at all times, but now it’s usually 1, maybe 2. Hopefully that’ll be fixed soon so we don’t miss out on the Bus and therefore the Jet
