9-11-14 11PM EST UPDATE: iOS Update just hit, so iOS players please check to see if your game is now showing the District 9 items and those with issues of the force reload to update, check the app market to see if it is there for you now. Let us know. Google play also saw an update, but it may just be minor glitch fixes. Kindle users, check yours too and let us know if you see anything yet.
I am putting this info at the top for all to see (it’s throughout the post too). If you have iOS/Amazon you will NOT see the new stuff til your Update hits your market. Only Android had it hit.
If you play on cross devices and updated your Android device then tried to switch to iOS/Kindle, you will only see the “you must update” pop up. Again, you got to wait for your market to push the Update before you can see it. Crossing devices made it now impossible for the non updated one to be able to play.
For Android, Precious Metals quest must be done along with District 8 to trigger the Blimp quest and District 9.

From TinyCo Update: We are looking into fixing all of the “Placeables are out of bound” errors. We were incorrect when believe we had found the solution and are working on it!
UPDATE 420AM EST: I am seeing reports slowly coming in of players back up and running. So check your games, but remember…if EVERYONE tries to jump in at once the server will overload…so give it just a lil bit of time to resolve and hopefully all will be back to normal again.

You will see a ! over Meg to start the questline. In my game, it seems there are a few lil hiccups with this as Peter’s image was all scrambled. Cracked me up, that’s for sure.
So let’s get to it. In order to get Jailhouse Meg’s Costume into your town, you will need the following items:
20 Poop Bucket (Common): Mort Swallow Jewels, Seamus Swab the Poop Deck, Chris Run Around With Bucket on Head
12 Blue Glass (Rare): Peter Cook Disgusting Vegatables, Stop ‘N Shop, Quahog Mini Mart
8 Soap (Rare): Joe Give Self a Sponge Bath, Connie Get a Luxury Spa Treatment
5 Tattoo Machine (Extra Rare): Lois Show off Tramp Stamp, Dr. Hartman Prepare for an Exam, Meg Practice Bird Calls
(Or if you want to skip it all, it cost 600 Clams in my game to outright buy her.)

It also looks like District 9 is starting to launch. To let you know in advance, this will be released in stages. So you will NOT get all the info at once. They will release a lil part of it each week. The First part will be to build the Blimp and locate Tom Tucker. More info and explanation will come later on the Blimp. Users in iOS/Kindle may not see this part until they get the update to their market. We did notify TinyCo of update reload error with no update in market yet.
Stewie will have a ! over his head to kick of the start of District 9 and “Build-a-Blimp Part 1. It will only take 1 minute to do his first task of “Investigate Blimp Site”. He will go to the Lighthouse to do this. Once complete, you will see the Blimp Building site out in the water. Part 2 will be to start construction of the site and need to collect materials. To do this you will need the following items:
8 Blimp Frame (Uncommon): Lois Blast Apart Kegs, Stewie Dumpster Dive, Brian Dumpster Dive
10 Blimp Propeller (Rare): Seamus Flirt with Classic Boats, Stewie Salvage Parts, Quagmire Watch 40’s War Movies, Brian Salvage Parts

Now for all of you already wondering, WHERE IS TOM TUCKER?
To unlock Tom Tucker, you will need to complete the “Build-a-Blimp” quests (Parts 1-7) and “What the Deuce Pt. 1.” This will unlock District 9. Once you’ve cleared enough land, you can rebuild Quahog 5 News to being unlocking Tom Tucker.
There is a patch of land at the top of your Quahog that is now there that needs to be cleared too. It is broken into 3 sections. $80,000 (1 day 12 hrs)/ $70,000 (1 day 10 hrs)/ $60,000 (1 day 6 hrs). I am seeing reports right now that this is triggering the error that I am still waiting word back on so be cautious until we get more updates on this. See top of post.
To also give you a lil heads up on what to expect, here are the items you will need to unlock Tom Tucker:
20 Microphones (Uncommon): Stewie, Chris, Brian
12 Action Slates (Rare): Brian, Quahog 5 News
10 Satellites (Extra Rare): Peter, Stewie, Channel 5 News Van, Tom Tucker’s Trailer
8 Mustache Creams (Extra Rare): Dr Hartman, Stewie
(Or you can shell out 1120 Clams to outright buy him!)

Stewie Billboard for Free? Woohoo! (Some may or may not see this.) As I stated, this did not show for all. I believe it was a temp glitch, but waiting for confirmation. For now, the billboard will most likely cost clams. You know that annoying glitch that completely shut down the game with the “Placeables Error”? Guess what caused it? THIS DID! So the “Free” was most definitely a glitch and caused mass chaos to players. It never should have been free at all. Only Clams.

I finished the quest to have Meg rob The Pharmacy. Next one is to have her visit the prison but when I go to the market the prison isn’t available at all to purchase. It goes all the way to the Playhouse and that’s it and I finished the Precious Metals quest and now on the Build a Blimp part 7. When can I purchase the prison?

Lookout towers are now $1,250 in my game. I’m not sure when the price went down because I know I paid $2,500 a few days ago when I first placed one for Quahog Prison Blues pt. 6.

I’m not sure when the price decreased. It could be something that once you built one the next one is decreased. I’ve already built them in both towns so I have no way of double checking the before price now. But they’re 1250 in my game now as well…

So I’m locked in a glitch that I cant get passed. Stewie is no longer clickable and megs quest for placing watch tower is locked. Not sure whats going on but I cant get the Plutonium bars back till district 9 is unlocked, it says and I cant unlock the watch tower for what ever reason. Very confused as these are the only 2 things I can do. Stewie is just walking around with no way to click on him and megs quest is locked up due to something else. Not sure whats going on but very confusing.

I haven’t been able to play for 5 days now… I was forced to do the update & since then I keep getting error ‘requesting empty assetId’ then meg loads and says ‘TitleLabel, SubTextLabel, ButtonLabel’ and forces quit.
I have uninstalled/ reinstalled.
Force shut the app.
Restarted my phone.
I am disgusted at support for not even responding! I have spent real money on the game and NO ONE is helping me.
I’m a level 50, using an iPhone 5s and using the most recent iOS.
There seems to be a glitch since the update, I can’t fix it on my own & really wish support would respond! 5 days no word is complete incompetence! Hope it fixes soon!!!!!

Just got done with unlocking District 9 and sped up the building time to start placing buildings and noticed that Tom Tucker has a clam mystery box with a chance to win lots of his required items. No clams now after purchasing his trailer and the blimp hanger ( just coz it looks cool ) but certainly gives the option of making him a whole lot easier.

I’m not there yet but Tom Tucker is the only character I have seen that has 2 extra rare items, he might prove to be the most challenging character to unlock, Im glad Little Jake Tucker finally gets to see his dad haha

So there’s a locked blimp hanger in the building section, but you can’t unlock District 9 until you complete the blimp. so will it unlock before 9 is opened? Otherwise, it doesn’t make much sense since the blimp will be complete. Am I missing something?

Well here’s what I’m thinking….you’re going to need more than 1 blimp. So once more unfolds of the District I think it’ll show you’ll have to create multiple Blimps for various reasons…

Personally I think its just going to be a place for your blimp after the construction site goes away.
BTW- was it just me, or did everybody get 1 item for the blimp, even plutonium, at the end of each part of the quest with Stewie and Brian? I reall thought that was a nice touch to automatically get 1 item as B&S go about their crime spree to assemble the blimp. This would be the first time a quest put story above the item grind.

So, still no update on Kindle, at least, not on mine. I just keep getting a message pop up telling me to update my game and when I click “update”, it just opens up my browser and takes my to Google Play. I’m playing on a Kindle, not an Android device, TinyCo! Come on!

When visiting friends games, the coins/clams do not visibly show up, but still are accounted for. Not with all friends. Is this a known issue? Also George Takei and other Comicon 2 celebrities do not show on face space. I only own George, so he is only one missing. Is this known?

Love the update and ability to sell things. I just wish we were able to sell everything. I have event items that I do not want but can’t sell.

Have you tried rotating the watchtower? Mine works fine with the bottom of the staies facing southwest but when I rotate it, only a patch of dirt and gears are shown. Hope that helps, great post! 🙂

Build a prison. Man, quahog is a rough town. Of course even with the extra land on the side, I still had to clear some roads to put the prison down.
They really really need to work on their land allotment. I saw in the buildings section of the store 4 more buildings and there will be the news building and city hall. So Downtown will be full and I will still have a ton of buildings in storage with nowhere to put them.
***** also, why can’t I sell back everything? The “sell” feature seems to only be for certain things and not all. I have that extra waterpark (because I bought one before I realised you got one for finishing the task) and it won’t let me sell that one. And all my fireworks (don’t need all of them). Also, you can’t choose how many. I accidentally sold back all of my hedges because it wouldn’t let me select just one. It’s all or none.
That needs work too.
Well, good start at these features but I’m really only happiest with the character finder. Soooooo happy with that one!

My buildings just stopped dropping coins & experience tokens. Cash not increasing either so they aren’t just invisible. Anyone else seeing this? I sent in game message.

When you say no way to claim Comic-Con prizes…what do you mean? It’s a little confusing. Are you saying during Comic-Con you earned enough blam for all the prizes and you couldn’t claim them? Or are you trying to claim them after comic-con? Just trying to get a little more info so we can see what happened here. If you didn’t claim them during comic-con, BUT you earned enough blam! to unlock them they should be in your inventory. Once the event ended they moved any unclaimed prizes to the inventory. But if you didn’t earn enough blam! the prizes are gone, and currently no way to unlock prizes that you didn’t win.

What i meant is there was nowhere and no way to claim prizes in my game. I had 1.52 million in blam won all prizes except 2 in robot
Stewie. I reported it through Tinycos helpshift 12 times before sept
8th and made 4 phone call directly to Tinyco with no reply other than a form letter (s) from Matt F at helpshift thier support group.
14 complaints in total and no fix I just don’t believe it.

I just opened my game. I see another update about some animals that cost clams, and are available for the weekend only. A wooden animal crate appears behind Peter’s house. There’s a beaver, a porcupine, and an ostrich, and if you buy them all before Monday, you get a coked-out giraffe. I’m not interested.
