Hello there Clammers!
We last left off our walkthrough Stewie and Brian had just freed Vinny…in hopes he could lead them to their missing Plutonium! Of course Vinny just swindled them out of a bunch of stuff…oh and he got a new house built out of the deal! Only to tell them Mayor West had the Plutonium. So we restart our quest with Mayor West…and finding out what HE knows about the Plutonium…
This will be a little different than past District walkthroughs, since it will be released in stages. So, we’ve covered part 1 here and part 2 here, now we’ll pick things up with part 3, where we’ll unlock Mayor West…and a whole lotta Taffy!
Unlocking characters and items in the Downtown District will take a lot of patience, as the list of “Stuff” required to unlock is longer and the quantities of each are greater. Take your time, try not to get frustrated when the items don’t appear. Try a different task to unlock the item, or try working on a different item.
So let’s pick our walkthrough back up with Brian and Stewie and the hunt for the missing plutonium…
Just a reminder
To unlock characters: once you’ve collected all of the “Stuff”, you’ll need to go through their items again and tap the ones with check marks. Once you’ve gone through each one the lock over the character’s head will turn gold and show unlock. At this point tap the character again to fully unlock the character.
As you get further into the game it becomes harder to earn the items needed to unlock the characters. Be sure to check out the Materials page to see the odds of the items and who can help you unlock them.
Remember this won’t start until you’ve completed Who Let the Dogs Out Pt. 8…

6 Toilet Water (Uncommon): Earned by Make Mort Retreat Cowardly OR Make Brian Watch Lois Shower from Air Vent OR Make Herbert Take Gross Old Man Bath OR Make Chris Hang Out at Home
6 Heavy Musk (Uncommon): Earned by Make Vinny Smoke Cigar OR Make Carter Smoke Money Cigars OR Make Tom Buy Mustache Cream OR Make Quagmire Giggity Strut
750 Coins..you have to have $750 coins on hand (at least) as each creation costs $750
Each one of these earns ONE Cologne Bottle.
You’ll have to repeat the process of collecting bottles etc 4 times to complete the task. Again remember…the Factory WILL disappear once you’ve collected all 4.
Note: you can also collect MORE than the required amount of one to stockpile for the next creation. For example you can collect 8 empty bottles at once even though you only need 5 fr 1 cologne bottle.

I’m not getting anymore dogs 😦 and when I open the quest I get this pop-up of Consuela with a blank canvas. I’ve waited 24 hours and the dogs just won’t show up.

It’s a shame that the cologne factory had to disappear, as I rather liked having that building in my quahog. I know it’s a little thing to comment on, but it’s strange that it wasn’t a permanent building like most of the others in the game 😔

When I initially commented I appear to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now whenever a comment is added I receive 4 emails with the exact same comment. Perhaps there is an easy method you are able to remove me from that service? Thanks!|

I can’t seem to progress and unlock the fine arts district. I have Adam West, I have cleared the fragrance factory and the dogs, and there are no more tasks related to district 9 in my task bar. I have a lot of characters in storage but no main ones and I have a lot of tasks (like at least 30) but they are all for premium characters and events. Could that be a problem? To many other tasks in the way? I’m stumped

I have unlocked mayor west and don’t everything else. I cleared one dog with west and no there are no more dogs in quahogs. When I try to contribute and click on the quest. It’s just. White think with quensealla. Please help

So I’m halfway through unlocking Olivia, and I just finished all of Mayor West’s quest lines. I already did the part where I had to clear three dogs. But I have the rest of the dogs still running around my Quahog because I’m not sure if they’re relevant to another quest. Is it safe to just tap them away, or are they needed for something else? Is there a reason I should keep them in my Quahog?

I’m trying to get the blimp quest finished but cleared the dogs before it was actually a task, and now the game says I’ve cleared 2 of 3 dogs and don’t have any more to clear. How do I continue the quest?

See if this helps with the Land…
With Fine Arts now an extension of the Blimp District… it will need to be completed first in order to move on to District 10.

It’s actually easier this way. Now you don’t have to worry scout Pawtucket brewery items dropping and getting in the way. You’re actually at more of an advantage than players who did D 10 first

Every time I click on my fragrance factory my game forcecloses. My characters don’t even have the option of getting anymore bottles. Im on level 50 and I’m ready to move on to District 10.

It’s happened in the past to others. Try accessing it through the the menu or the task bar instead. Also, please report it through your game.

What did the fragrance factory have to do with anything? And once you PAY for a building why do they take it away? The game is quest for stuff. Buildings are stuff! Annoying as hell.

I’m having the same problem, it’s not in Brian’s list of tasks and choosing it through the quest just takes me to brian where it’s not there 😑

Enjoying the Halloween event. Think TC must be too because I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m spending a wee bit more on clams because if it. BUT… I wish they had got the timeline better so they could finish the plutonium palaver before the event… Ivery gonna as far as I can minus the event, every event all i seem told is stockpile coins. I’ve even stored all my offices that I use for farming.

I have unlocked mayor west, but his quest “mayor west runs the town hasn’t triggered. Is this normal? I’ve collected all the items for the perfume bottles, but I’m still stuck on part 4 of “the wild wild mayor west” quest but I know that’s because of the glitch.

How long do they usually take to add new parts to districts? Can we assume since the next five weeks are dedicated to Halloween it won’t be for another month at least until we can clear the dogs and blimp.

I also cleared the dawgs. Did you get coins? I did not. Since coins didn’t register i am also hoping it doesn’t mess up my progress later on. Apologies for posting this on Halloween glitch page, wasn’t sure when/if you stop checking old posts.

Are you sure about this? I did the same thing — cleared all the dogs. When you tap on each one, it says “Reward” with a picture of a coin underneath. But nothing happened at all, which makes me suspicious that it was somehow out of order.

So I finally unlocked Adam west, but (like in the walk through) there is no quest to clear the dogs. However I was curious so i tried to clear one and it worked.
My question is should I clear them all or hold off until the appropriate questline comes along?
Because I don’t want to clear them if I’ll need to clear X amount of dogs to proceed or they will drop a needed future item.

I honestly don’t know. It was something they added in after the update hit, because on the first day I couldn’t clear them. However, in my B game I cleared them all at this point…they were getting on my nerves. I think you’ll be ok if you clear them 🙂

I have Ghostbuster peter unlocked and working three question when do I unlock Diane Simmons? do we get to keep the haunted house when this event is over? and last I have pink brain when can I use him? are the bugs worked out with him?

I’d try to get all the bones you need first. Even create the items. Then dig her up.
As for haunted house…no idea til event over. Suggest it to them.

I have unlock mayor west and house and perfume and have him doing other things now but what happen to the blimp task? is it over none of my character do any thing with the blimp now just sitting there?

So I’ve built Mayor West’s house and started collecting bags of oranges etc. So do I need the Fragrance Factory to unlock him? Or is it just part of a quest line? ie can I send Mayor West off to do something straight away or will I have to do this Fragrance task in order to get him going? Thanks.

my game is still crashing every time I tap on the Fragrance Factory. I have reported it to TinyCo about a week ago and they said they have passed my info to the engineering team. Which i am patiently waiting to be fixed. But i was wondering if I was done collecting yet? It has a check mark over it. or do I have to do it 3 more times? None of the tasks are availibe to drop bottles anymore. Do you have info on this?

Finally got all the stuff for the Mayor West, and my factory disappeared. I know this is supposed to happen, but will be getting it back? I had it in a great spot, design wise. And would hate to redesign so soon after having just finished.

Sooooo, I unlocked Mayor West. Hip hip hooray. Those dogs that are running around, the ones that say clear with Mayor West, is there any significance to them? I cleared them and nothing happened. No coins. Nothing. Did I fudge something up? Also noticed that when he went to clear a dog, the original image of the dog froze in place and a new image of the dog appeared next to it and did the animation of clearing. Then both images disappeared. I eagerly await your wisdom oh exalted ones. 🙏🙏🙏

First time poster. First thanks for the great site I check in constantly! The other day I was working on wild west part four. Went to create the fragrance the game crashed. I lost all of my progress. I have since collected the first fragrance but my count has stayed stuck at 2 of 4. I contacted support twice and nothing yet. Is this part of the known glitch??

Unfortunately, yes. For now…honestly…just avoid the factory until they get a permanent fix for it. In the meantime though, still report it to them please.

I’m having a problem where every time I click on the fragrance factory my game crashes. I’m trying to complete wild west part 4 quest in which I need to collect 4 cologne bottles and I’m unable to get past due to this bug. I have already deleted game and redownloaded it I have also reset my phone to no avail . any help?

Known issue. They are still working on it. You can report the issue to them through your game in the meant time. Also use the menu to tap go instead or the task itself and bypass the building

I was using the side bar but once you finish one of the cologne bottles and there is a check mark over the building that option doesnt work either. Still collecting bottles ok, but unfortunately until they fix it I cant see my progress on it and there is a permanent check mark that im constantly hitting by accident when im collecting from my town then its deep breath and GOOOOOOSEFRABA, reload and be more carefull next time. There is a small upside to the glitch. If you mess something up like send a character on a wrong task or oh my gosh I accidentally started repairing diane’s grave and im not ready! If you are quick enough you can tap the factory and it will erase the last fewbthings you did.

I know with Halloween launching there’s a lot going on. I started Who Let the Dogs Out Pt 8 today and when it started all the quest to collect the items to unlock prison Meg came back. I’ve had her unlocked for a long time now. I didn’t know if this had been reported, was any reason to be concerned, or would cause any issue? Thanks. I know yall are hard at work right now.

I have been enjoying the game very much and I appreciate all the updates the game has been making to keep us entertained :D. The only complaint is that sometimes they don’t include characters in getting items and they give few characters the ability to get everything. Finally Tricia gets the chance to contribute but what about Cleveland and the celebs?

Sorry if this has been asked before (I promise I did try to find it, but couldn’t, lol): are common items supposed to drop every time? I ask because, if they are, they aren’t- at least the empty perfume bottles aren’t. I’m actually having better luck with the extra rare kittens dropping. Also, two empty perfume bottles dropped, but only one counted this morning. Is this a known glitch, or am I just “special”, lol
(I’m not going to bother TC with this, if it’s just trivial. I’d rather they focus on larger problems)

So far I am loving district 9. It’s the best one yet. This district has kept me busy and not been boring at all. I will admit the limited time sections irked me at first but I finished them with time to spare. I need one more mustache cream to unlock Tom Tucker (he had to take a backseat due to Sexy Stewie and Kool-aid Man). I can’t wait to unlock Mayor west and see what the Halloween event is going to bring us 🙂

Just want to make sure…. I have 13 musk and toilet water, so when I create my first cologne (only have one empty bottle right now)… I will use six musk and toilet water but the other seven will stay in my inventory to use for the next one? They won’t reset to zero correct?

They should continue to “pile up” until you have used them all. Similar to items like during con.

Along with the cologne factory crashes the game when I touch it..also the quest isn’t appearing in the side bar any more on mine 😦

Not only tapping on fragrance factory crashes the game but also some character is stuck in the building now (don’t remember who). When I try to tap the finished task icon the game shuts down. How long it takes them to fix the glich that’s know for days now?

I didn’t think any characters use the building. Are you sure that’s the case? Perhaps the character is stuck in a building next to it?

Even if there’s no character inside, I got finished task ‘tick’ icon above the factory for some reason. I made sure others buildings are moved to clear the view. It’s crashing when I try to tap on it. Annoyed

The tick is because you’ve collected all the bottles to make one cologne bottle. Contact TinyCo via the game to let them know you’re impacted by the crashing as well. They are working on a fix, but it helps them to know who’s still impacted.
