Hey there Minions. Having fun with the event yet? Can’t wait to get your hands on MORE stuff? Well if you wanna take a bit of a risk, the Macabre Mystery Box is full of all sorts of goodies.
A really frakkin sweet looking item I wouldn’t mind owning in my game, but there is more to it. Tap on it and you will see a list of lots of prizes that can be won…for a price. So what does 100 Clams get you? Let’s break it down. Now you won’t get the payouts the same as your neighbor. These are all chance. As in previous boxes, once you won the main decorations you won’t get them again. You instead will be left with the Clams, Ingredients, Spirit Vials, and Traps.
PUMPKIN PATCH: Sits on a 6×6 block. Nice decorative item. Lots of lil pumpkin patch and gourde details. Adds to the Fall feeling.
ABANDONED MANSION: Sits on a 7×6 block. 20 Spirit Vials & 4FP every 16hrs. I do like the creepy run down look of it.
SCARMARA: Sits on a 1×1 block. Animation on this creepy lil girl is really frakkin cool . As she is sitting in your town, she phases in n out and jumps within a larger radius around her. It is really awesome to watch. Then if you tap on her, she starts to headbang and twirl her hair around. Lol. LOVE HER!
SPIRIT VIAL LABORATORY: Sits on a 5×5 block. 1000 Spirit Vial & 200 FP every 12hrs. If you win this…you really have no worries with 2000 Vials and 400 FP a day. You will definitely move up fast. Really designed cool. Lots of lil details to it. Jars, bones, knobs and switches, axe, etc. While it is sitting in your town, electricity rises from it. The lil body in the green goo floats up and down. The Beakers and jars bubble with fluids. The Xrays light up. The meters move. If you watch closely you can even see lightning strike the main electrical tower. Really impressed with everything going on in this one.
200 CLAMS: Of course anyone would want this prize. Lol. For myself, I seemed to hit it about every 7th to 10th try. When I returned it took a lil longer, but then I got like 2 in a row. I was just happy to get some back.
12 GHOST TRAPS: These are nice to get, especially if you are running for the challenge. Not sure just yet how much handy they will be on next Portal. We will see. But they have been helpful to me to get.
300 SPIRIT VIALS: These are the main currency of the game. Having more is a good thing.
15 TERROR DOG BONES: If you want to Brew a lot of prizes, these come in handy.
15 BANSHEE TEARS: If you want to Brew a lot of prizes, these come in handy.
15 LATCHER TALONS: If you want to Brew a lot of prizes, these come in handy.
So there you have it. A quick break down of the items in the Macabre Mystery box. Whether YOU decide to chance your luck on these items is completely up to you. Spend those Clams wisely.

That is a tough one. I always ask…what will make YOU happy. Not just now…but months from now. What items do you covet long term? The payouts in the Demonic were amazing for me.

It’s tempting, but I know I’ll feel disappointed if I get anything but the top 5 items in this post. So I’ll pass… If it had 10 cool premium items, I’d do it.

Earlier today I was tapping the white ghosts that come out of the portal, but my wifi was lagging so I ended up pressing the Brian mystery box by accident. I ended up with the spirit vial lab from the mystery box!

I’m guessing that there are more boxes to come considering that tiny released the 3 pics of statues if this is so they may put Brian statue in another box . Fingers crossed

Seems to me that brewing components are kinda worthless unless you hit each one.
what good does it do to have 15 extra banshee tears when you still need a similar amount of terror dog bones and Latcher talons to make anything?
Sure they could free up charachters to do other things but the harvesting activity is already the best payoff.

16 tries. got pumpkin patch ( total dud), girl, clams, bones, vials, mansion…and then just a horrific run. no more clams, no batteries, and especially no factory. burned badly.

I got extremely lucky with this one, i ended up winning all the main decorations, do e banshee tears, and best of all, I won the Clam prize a number of times, so much so that I managed to get back all the clams I’d spent! Couldn’t believe it, I’ve nether been this lucky with the mystery boxes before, I can’t wait for the Stewie themed one now, to see if that has any cooler prizes than this one.

I.got burned and burned bad on the Tom box trying to get crippletron. I want it so bad. I don’t have any clams left. I think that even if I had the clams I wouldn’t go for it. The boxes in the comicon were awsome I got everything I wanted, but the Tom box gave me nothing I wanted and took all.my clams. I wish there were more ways to get clams. maybe characters who do nothing could have long task that would drop a few. But until that day I’m not touching boxes. At least until I have had enough time to forget what happened.

It’s a different topic but I wonder is there any use of the coins? They have too many items that only available for clams, don’t really need to use the coins for a while now…

Events in general don’t use coins, they use even currency. However, Districts (And land) will still require coins.

I have played it a small handful of times.. my first try I got Scarmara, then Latcher Talons..As I am not lucky I have not tried since
I REALLY wish that this Macabre mystery box was a buy able decoration.. I just love how it looks and wish I could keep it in my game after this event ends..

I’m disappointed in these as well and likely won’t ever do another one again if it costs clams to purchase. So far, every time I’ve broken down and tried I’ve gotten them in this order:
-The items I already have
-The least valuable
-The consumables that I’d have gotten eventually anyway
This is how I missed out on Rupert. Tried with Tom Tucker’s because all but one item was going to help me… and I got that one item that wouldn’t. I’m starting to think there’s something in the “random” coding that makes some players luckier than others.

It all boils down to luck. I got Clams right off with mine, then some of the big prizes. It is just something YOU have to decide if it is worth it to you. Every event, they seemed to have offered a box towards the end for the Event currency. You can always wait on it. Not need to rush. 😉

Finally caved in and ended up shelling out the 100 clams. Ended up with 15 banshee tears. That was pretty good in my opinion because I still need Slutty Cat Meg and Mr. Weed. May even consider getting a few more in the future for that spirit vial lab or those sick looking decorations.

I have a feeling that a spirit vial mystery box will be released near the end for spirit vials, and this statue will probably be a prize. Same as the last event. I hope.

Im gonna wait for the second mystery box (im assuming there will be one sinse there usually is) and decide witch one I wanna try. I hate gambling. I dont even buy scratch tickets and that 300 vial prize in there is a huge turn off.

It should have been 1000. Even then, it would undoubtedly be the dud prize.

Ok thx now I know n hopefully y’all like the pic as soon as I seen I had some how had both Peter n quagmire capturing the terror dog n the banshee I knew I had to figure out how to use drop box only problem I had was uploading all my photos at the same time without Wi-Fi! Lol it use have a gb to do it without a connection but o well I had to share that photo with everyone n by the way I told u I still got my exclusive clowns in my town lol :p

I don’t understand tiny co…I would have shelled out clams for the laboratory (as a science nerd, to increase SV, probably even in the 150-200clam range) but I really dislike boxes of chance (kindle is still on 1.3.2.2 which is at least letting me play week 2s stuff but I’m worried that a future update will be required for continued game play and we’ll be sunk)

I’m not attempting to insult…but I can’t help but say I’m a bit astounded that there are so many people dropping so much $$ on their little digital Quahogs! Good on ya if that’s what makes you happy! I’ve been freemium player since about a month after the games release and have always been able to get everything aside from a couple decorations. And Cranston. Wanted him but wasn’t willing to fold. Clams are FREE everyone…you just have to be patient and let them build up! (However…if you have some secret hack for freebies…I want in! lol)

Overall pleased, I got the the vial factory,pumpkin patch,scarmara,clams,vials,and traps. The only one i was personally disappointed in was the the pumpkin patch as it does nothing thus not worth 100 clams. I was highly excited for the vial factory though and would have dished out much more then a 100 clams.
Still hoping to KEEP DEATH BRIAN STATUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-)

TinyCo really shoot themselves in the foot with these boxes – let’s face it Spirit Veils, Traps, and even the 15 items are junk and not worth 100 clams, however the buildings/decorations are great and worth a punt for 100 clams. Problem is I will never spend 100 clams on the risk I would get a junk prize (which probably has a much higher chance % applied to them) rather than a building/decoration.
In my opinion these boxes either need to be MUCH cheaper ie 25 clams to justify having a punt and not being too upset if you end up with some junk prizes OR if they are 100 clams the first time you buy you should only have that option to win a premium building/decoration. Maybe every time you win something it is replaced with one of the minor prizes so it becomes gradually harder to unlock all the buildings (like it does anyway as the no duplicates policy doesn’t apply to the junk prizes) but it means everyone will at least of the chance of guaranteeing a decent prize on their first few attempts.
I reckon there would be a much higher uptake of these boxes if that’s how they worked…

First of i want to say that all premium items should be cheaper. With that out of the way the mystery box is still better then the other items. the lab is the same as two Spirit Vial Machines. Thats 1400clams. So if you would get it in your first 14 tryes you will have made a “bargain” as you get other stuff to.

I passed on this mystery box. Kinda steep for 100 clams. I like the girl from The Ring but would have bought it separately with clams if it were not in the mystery box. I hardly have room in my town for the other prizes. I do hope they release more land soon before the end of the event.

I held off for a while, before the chance of winning the Scarmara got the better of me lol! Over the space of a few days (maybe a week not sure now), here’s how my luck went;
