Hey there Clammers. Bouncing on by for a quick look at the new set up for our Inventory TinyCo created.

So TinyCo released a new updated right at the end of our Ghostbuster’s Quahog Halloween Event and with it gave us some cool new features to our game. In this post I will be touching on the new layout to our Inventory.
Now there are multiple ways you can get to your Inventory. One is by tapping on your Menu Icon and going to it (See Image Above). Another is by going into your “Deco” or “Movement” screen by tapping on the directional arrows and from there going into your Inventory.
However you get to it is completely up to you, but once you are there you will notice a few changes. TinyCo has listened to players response to make things a bit easier to find in the Inventory and has now implemented some cool tabs to keep things in a lil more tidy area. (Remember items with the “+$” by them mean you CAN sell them off.
ALL: In this section you will be able to see every single item you have stored in your Inventory. If you have a lot, it may take some time scrolling on through.
CHARACTERS: In this section you will see any current Characters you decided to store away using that newer feature. You will also see any Character Costumes that you may have won, but are in wait until you unlock the actual character they go along with. (If you do not see the Costume here, check Al’s.)
BUILDINGS: In this section you will see any item that was classified a “building” when it came into the game.
DECORATIONS: In this section you will see any item that was classified as a “decoration” when it was brought into the game.
Once again TinyCo listening to player requests of something that could improve the overall game play for EVERYONE. What do YOU think of the new inventory? Easier to locate items now? Things in there that you forgot about? Any further suggestions on it? Let us know.

I really wish they would make categories inside decorations: vegetation (bushes, trees, flowers), statues, creatures (animals, mummy bath, stay puft, etc.), vehicles (cars, spacecrafts, …), signs, buildings (potty, ATM, gardens, dog house, …) and real decorations (fireworks, columns, vending machines, spotlight, …); maybe more, you get the point.
Maybe buildings by districts/events as well.
Both in inventory and where you buy them, any shop (even the corner shops) have shelves for different stuff. Imagine going in to a supermarket and everything is in the order they received it from wholesale… Lol, but that’s essentially what Tinyco does even so they don’t always put new stuff at the end…
I’m tired of slowly scrolling through district 2 items when just looking for my spaceship for example.
Please Addicts make this happen with them!
(I don’t even try this through support, there are about 8 bugs I reported and no human response.)

One thing that might be an improvement would be if you could filter the tabs to show only items that are task-related. For example, in buildings, activating the filter would show buildings like the Cherry Pit or Barrington Hotel that unlock tasks for characters, while activating it deco would show items like the Fire Hydrant that unlocks Brian’s Use the Bathroom task. I think that mightbe helpful if you’ve got a locked task because you stuck an item in your inventory.

One more thing (sorry). Why isn’t there an option to sell some of an item instead of selling an entire stack? I have about 20 more shrubs than I need right now, sure they are cheap but what if I’m broke in the future and need a few quickly? Then if they make Halloween items sellable, I would like to keep 1-2 of each item.

I checked, you can’t sell the 100,000 plants from Halloween… I hope they change that soon b/c I have so many from exchanging things for vials. Sure they are stacked but I just don’t like them lol!!
They need to let me sell buildings b/c I accidentally bought 2 of one. They could make a prompt saying, “you have one already, are you sure?” I had so many buildings at the point of purchase, I totally overlooked it. Now it’s in my inventory w/o purpose lol.

They put in place a fail safe on limited items to prevent “accidental” sales. As you CAN’T get back those items into your game.

I remember being mad about the nuke option, I just restructured my town like a day or two prior lol! I went along storing a couple things at a time… that’s a lot of things!
What I wish they would do is show which items earn money, I like to keep those out. I know it’s easy w/ buildings b/c they all earn.

Random question…how many levels are complete? And when can we expect more? I just realized that my level now says “max” but honestly didn’t know what level I was at. I also love the new changes. It helps so far. Looking forward to more levels though. 😊

Hi, a few days ago I put 90% of my characters in storage leaving out ones for new event.
This morning all of my characters are walking around. Anyone else had this?

It was a fail safe done to prevent any more players being locked out of their games.

Mine keeps kicking the characters out also. It won’t even keep the comicon ones in. I need memory more than coins. I have over a million coins but a jumpy game when they are all walking around.

It’s a good start, but the only thing I have in my inventory is decorations. So this helped me none.

I wish they’d listen to the requests and finally provide pavement. All those cars parked on grass are looking crappy.

I wish TinyCo gave the option to see inventory as just text. Its mandatory to see items in thumbnail format when for purchase to see what they look like, but not after you own them. I’d be able to scroll through inventory super quick with it only text and it would cut down a lot on memory usage.

I had all characters not on tasks in storage at one point and I had to wonder… if a character in storage is needed to kick off a new task (with the !), will we ever know there’s a task available? If the game doesn’t just crash, I mean. Even without being affected by the error, I’ve still taken all of my characters out of storage so I don’t miss anything that might come up. But it would still be nice to know what it’s supposed to do.

Right now…storing main characters caused games to lock the player out as they werent able to trigger a quest and the game flipped out. So…they stopped ability to store characters til it is resolved. So for now…none can be. The game will now kick them right back out if you leave and come back.

That would explain why Freddy wont stay in my inventory. Now he’s annoying since the Halloween event is over… smh

I’ve not experienced this. I put all my character in storage that had maxed their level. Then when tasks popped up that required them, I choose the task and the character automatically popped up like they were never in storage!
But thanks for this info, I’ve put them all back in twice now, wondering what the deal was. But now I can see I just need to stop until the next update.

Still wish they’d trade in game currency for clams, and not real cash. Flintstones do it.

I actually nuked my town and started it fresh. There were way too many buildings in town. Anyway I find it a pain in the buttox 🙂 to search through the inventory. If tiny co can code it so that the inventory is alphabetical within its sub categories it may make it easier to find something easier

I logged in today and all my characters that were in my inventory were out and walking around, I put them all back in the box, I log out and five minutes later I log back in to check on everyone and they are back out, very glitchy, I hope they fix it soon

Not glitchy…a fail safe to prevent you being locked out of your game…see post below.

New changes seem to be a bit buggy. The characters I put in inventory keep hopping back out. Kind of funny if it wasn’t a glitch.

It was a temp fix to get you back in. Complete patch not til 1.4.5
Just keep an eye out and if it gets too bad, let them know.

So you know, I have had these tabs for a very long time – as long as I can remember. I am on Android. I presume all Android devices have had this for quite a while and it is just an iPhone catchup.

Are you sure you are not thinking of the main menu? The shopping cart?
These tabs ARE new. The inventory never had them. It was one giant loooooooooooooong list. (I am on Android and this is what I begged them to do with Inventory as main menu had it.)

Bunny – you are 100% correct, I was looking at the shopping cart. Sorry, I didnt catch the distinction. However – even now with them in inventory, they are not all that helpful. I have One building , no characters, and all the rest are in Decos. Meaning, except for one item, that long list under decos is still basically the same . (perhaps the reason I didn’t notice the ‘improvement’). But it is still a step in the right direction.

Sry this is unrelated- but I’m back on my game!!!! Although in about a week behind in the event I’m just happy to be able to finally load my game!! I noticed u have a walkthru up so I’m off to investigate, thanks for ur help thru this difficult time hahahahhaha

I wish that they had two tabs for decos like important and unimportant depending on your choice since everything I store is a deco.

It was not ready for use and too many people didnt understand it wasnt, so…they put the trees back so players would stop trying to put stuff there. It will still be unlocked soon. 🙂

Aw shucks, I got all excited that the GetPlayArea issue was fixed. 🙂 The Characters tab should have a footnote reading “Nobody puts Baby in the corner — or Peter in the Storage”. heehee

I like that they’ve organized it, but I’d like to see it a step further. Maybe put the event stuff together, I seem to find a couple Halloween items, then random decos, then the rest of my Halloween decos.

Absolutely! I might actually nuke my town and rebuild it because of this!…if only I had a way to tell in inventory if anyone had a task with a building. =P

Wait till everyone is done and walking around, hit nuke, then look in each person’s task list at locked tasks. It will tell you what is required, be it level, building, or deco.

I also made some judgment calls on whether I could live without a task if I think the associated building is ugly, heehee. Sadly a lot of the required buildings are among the least-attractive. (It seems to me the buildings have – generally – become prettier over time since the game’s launch.)

Bunny, I’m not sure where to ask for help on this problem. I do not have Carl in my game yet. I need two more pieces to unlock Stan does that need to be done first? I have the latest update and everything else is fine just no Carl standing our front of the Griffin’s house waving at me. Not sure if anyone else has encountered that yet. I really want those 2 free clams a day, I still need to unlock Cleveland. Thank you for your time!
