Hello There Clammers!
Phase 2 of American Dad hit our Tiny Quahogs last week…and with it Steve Smith Arrived to town! Steve will be the main character you’ll need to get during Phase 2 in order to move on to Phase 3 when it hits….
So now let’s take a look at how Steve fits in in Quahog & just how Stan plans to find & hide Roger with Part 2 of our American Dad walkthrough….
Remember, the walkthrough pop ups will depend on where YOU are in the quests and if you have room in your task bar for the new ones to pop up. If you do not see one showing, try clearing out a few others. Give them time to show up.

help I’m only 3 r&b records away from unlocking Steve smith of American Dad but I can no longer do the clam shucking with Chris and Jerome the only way I can get them now is through Cleveland and he’s a premium character I cannot afford like Consuela. Why did this happen

What do you mean? Is the task gone from your game or the icon to payout the item gone?

The tasks are gone from the characters lists and from the the job lists when I click the icon above steve smiths head it shows only Cleveland as the character who can do a job to gain r&b records

I have the exact same problem. The characters no longer drops the item, and the task doesn’t have the record icon next to it.

I am trying to do the quest where Chris has to shuck clams at Herbert’s house. When I attempt to do it, the task isn’t available to select for Chris, but I can get Steve and Herbert to do their tasks…

It might have been pulled for Chris. Contact TinyCo and let them know what happened. They may be able to clear it for you with out Chris

I finished “a likely story” but “scout’s honor” didn’t activate. Widdling down my primaries but in the meantime any tips?
Currently working to unlock stewie so I can clear the quests he’s jamming while finishing predator’s eight quest, clearing nerds, and have Hayley and bonnie in my van.

Do you know how long steves task that requires the moon bounce is? And xp and if the moon bounce changes while the task is being performed. Just wondering if it’s worth the buy. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response. I meant changes kind of like how the fantastic four building has all those shadows moving when a character is performing a task in it. Quagmires house as well.

Just one note: I don’t think that you will need to finish Scout’s Honor to move on to Phase 3 when it becomes available (Despite the final “Good Morning, USA!” Pop Up). Only the “A Likely Story” Quest have an Orange Frame on the Task Bar, witch is the usual color for the progression tasks on the Mini-Events…I might be wrong, but…

Looks like I will miss out on the Golden Turd – I only have 1 hr 40 min left and am still at only 8 of 10… and even though Stan is currently working on hiding him right now, even if I speed up the task, he will disappear for 4 more hours and there is no way around that 😦
Such a shame this task was so difficult – a 1 hr task, plus 4 hrs in between each one… that’s 50 hours to complete a 3-day (72 max hours) timed task, if you ran with resetting every 5 hours and not allowing Stan to progress in any of the other task lines!! Uggg!

Actually…4 days. 96 hours. So plenty time to complete. Just keep trying. Many said it reset for them even AFTER 96 hours of time.

For anyone wanting to remove the exclamation mark on their face space post for the smiths I found that if u choose to view it when it asks if u want to when they level up u can get in.

You can also tap on the character and there is an option to open their Facespace as well.

Thanks for this! Seems I may be a bit behind on getting Hayley unlocked and part 2 finished, but its no big deal.
I am really meh in the content of this event but am loving the improvement to finding targets. With the tap of a button I can find any squatter, even ones hiding behind buildings and didn’t have to tear out all my streets to contain them.
I can’t wait to see if they have made any sort of improvement on the bombing mini game next time it pops up!

Argh, who designs these questlines? Honestly, forcing the player stop hard just to level up the character by even more 1h task grinding is pretty annoying. Unlocking the character was enough of a chore, so let’s please move on with the questline. By the time I level up Steve, Chris and Herbert are long finished with their tasks and I’ve forgotten the storyline connected with the quest part.

Very…..I’m still waiting for Steve to level up to lvl 4 to continue the quest line, Very annoying. After that I still have another 14hrs total to finish his quest. I got him pretty fast too but it’s getting ridiculous with these quests. Do we need to finish his quest to continue on phase 3?

Just need 2 mega phones amd haley is mind! Steve was unlocked yesterday and is on his tasks now. working on unlocking the Mayor also. And I did get Bitch Stewie with lots of time left. all with no clams used.

Sooo I missed getting roger by literally 3 minutes this morning 😥 I was SUPER bummed bc I wanted the golden turd!!! I just logged in and the roger quest is back?!?!?! I have 3 days and 54 minutes to unlock him, but my roger count is still at 9/10…I’m pretty happy about this 😀 hope others who missed out get a 2nd chance as well!

I will be done with Pt. 4 of the “A Likely Story” quest in three and a half hours. Also only 2 more megaphones until I unlock Hayley as well. As far as events go, this has been the most leisurely one so far. I have a feeling that unlocking Roger is going to be a bit tougher though. Probably will be much like unlocking the Golden Turd from the beginning of the event and there will be a timer on it. This thought is just based on the in-game statement where it said you will need the help of the Smith family to unlock him.

Leveling up to level 5 sucks. You spend most of a day just trying to get to the point where you can move on with the quest. I should be done with everything by Friday tho.

I’m one happy addict this week. Even though I started this event about two days late I still managed to get Stan quite quickly, got Bitch Stewie with 20h left on the clock and unlocked Steve yesterday morning. That should give me plenty of time to finish this phase (already on A Likely Story part 5). And I also got some extra time to clear out the last of the land to the northwest.

I’m not sure If this is a bug. When I unlocked Steve, the Facebook exclamation point appeared like it does for each new character. But when I go in to it, the section for American Dad is gone and I can’t clear the exclamation point. I didn’t get enough bubble beards to get bitch Stuey – not sure if that is a factor. Is that something happening to anyone else?

Huh, I unlocked Hayley this morning and was surprised that she didn’t have a questline. Finally broke from work to come here, and find Steve was supposed to have a questline as well. I unlocked him more than 24 hours ago, and I did get the “A Likely Story Pt. 3” part, where he plays make-believe in the box, but nothing for him since (I only have 5 items in my taskbar, 3 in progress and one being that “buy coins get clams” thing). And yes, I’ve had Stan free multiple times in the interim because I was still sending him on the 2-hour thing to get Hayley’s protest signs. Steve has only been going on 2-hour tasks as well so he’d be free soon if a new quest popped up. Maybe “A Likely Story Pt. 4” is somehow also tied to one of Stan’s quests? I was a GetPlayArea victim so late to join the AD event and unlock Stan, and he hasn’t done the 12-hour thing with Bruce yet.
(On the bright side, I have a bevy of Bitches plus a loitering Roger gracing my streets…)

I have to get 5 more R & B Records and I’ll be able to unlock him. And then there’s a ton left for Hayley. Also for some reason the Golden Turd Challenge popped up when I finished part one of A Likely Story which I missed out on.

Just unlocked Steve and Carter, who has been sitting around since the Halloween event started. Over the past week I’ve also unlocked Prison Meg and created the Blimp, which was surprisingly easy. All I have left to do is unlock Hayley. I just finally finished getting the last Sign, so all that I have left is 1 Necklace and 6 Megaphones.
Those Signs must have been set to uncommon, because the drops were less than 50%. I’d get coins a good portion of the time from CIA Agents and Stan. I hope players were smart to start unlocking Steve and Hayley at the same time, because it would take players another week to get Hayley because of Signs if done separately.

You need to unlock Stewie. After a few tasks he has to do with Brian Stewie will bring up building the Blimp.

Unlocked Steve already just trying to get the last two Megaphones for Hayley now. Want to get this week finished before the next one hits. Luckily only Francine will probably be out next week, so it should be a tamer week.
