I have fun this time of year with everyone taking part in the “Pay It Forward” …wish it was more year round, but at least it’s a start and I won’t stop. Friday I randomly saw a radio station on live remote by where I was picking up some “Stockings for Soldiers” items. They asked me if I wanted to take a chance at bowling, so I did. Chucked a greased up Frozen Turkey Breast down a plastic runway and knocked em over. Figured I’d get a CD or something. I was given a free frozen turkey that was a good size!! AWESOME!! So…I went to another local radio station drop point yesterday collecting food donations for the Homeless Shelter and gave my turkey to them. Love this kind of stuff. Pay It Forward. 🙂

I’m not sure about everyone else, but I watch Fox less now with the return of the less-funny live-action shows on Sunday night breaking up the funny animated shows. I also get bored with seeing the same episode played three times in a viewing season.

aw, i posted a super long comment last night about the dangerous Ferguson protests and it didn’t post? whats wrong, was it not up to the addicts guidelines or what?…i apologize if it was offensive i know for a fact i was using profanity or anything of that matter…..i was just super upset over what was happening in the aftermath.

It did borderline the guidelines and go over in a few areas so we couldn’t allow it. Sorry. I get you’re upset. Many are. I am. Just want to keep the site focus and prevent backlash. It’s all matter of wording.

Is everyone glued to their TVs watching Ferguson unfold? Reminds me of high school, watching LA after the Rodney King beating verdict. It’s sad to watch people using a verdict like this to loot a liquor store.

Meh…I don’t like violence. I always feel there is a much better way. I have been in the middle of riots before (can’t help if its by your home) and it’s heart breaking. People upset over something destroy millions of dollars worth of things belonging to OTHERS and not them. Makes no sense to me. This “They did something in my mind that was wrong and I don’t like so in return I am going to destroy things that do not belong to me causing hurt and harm and doing something wrong to others.”
Those left behind that lost homes, business, belongings, etc…they have to clean up the mess or move away as their life’s work and possessions was destroyed in a matter of minutes by strangers. Very Very Very Sad. 😦

What’s sad is that it’s largely the business owners that live in their own community that suffer from the destruction. I saw a window smashed in on an attorney’s office, not a fancy one either but a storefront place that probably accepts court appointments to help defend the people that are the victims of the racial injustice at the heart of the whole issue. & you can’t even get liquor there (unless you know which drawer he hides his pint in). Just very disconcerting to watch it unfold again.

I have been in an area before, during, and not long after as most small business owners places were destroyed beyond repair or burned to the ground. Mom n Pop shops around for 30+ years and then some…gone. Families that lived there since their family arrived in America…had to leave due to they lost everything. The destruction is just not worth it. Not at all.
Not to mention we feared for OUR lives. We did nothing wrong but the mentality of the rioters and looters was nothing but destruction and they didn’t care who or what got in their way. Poor lil old lady almost beaten to death. Just heartbreaking.

I live in St. Louis and knew this would happen. It’s all messed up all the way around. The Shaw Park march was a mile from my house. A church 6 blocks away was torched. One of my favorite bars a block and a half from me was broken into. National Guard was only “guarding” the affluent neighborhoods. Police fired a gas canister into a safe haven. So much ridiculousness on all the sides.

So..I wonder if I am the only one who is not sure how to feel about the Time Warp dance being the action for Peter’s new skin..haha
I love paying it forward, even though I do not get to very often.. My husband told me a story of a person at a drive through coffee stand paid for the car behind them; and that started a (Trend?) of people paying for the car behind them that continued for over 200 people..its just amazing the things people do 😀
On another note, I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, no matter where you are or who you are with..<3

Speaking of ‘paying it forward’, (you rock!!) every year some awesome people at Google Plus man Secret Santa. (http://tinyurl.com/p6m2c3w) People can make their wishlists at amazon.com http://tinyurl.com/orl7rm6. (you will need to sign in or create an amazon.com account first) Then, they post their list to a site set up just for the lists (I will link that when they post it) and other people can browse the lists and buy as much or as little as they want for 1 or however many people they choose. Some peoples’ list contain only food items. Some contain only toys for their kids. This will be my 3rd year participating. I set aside $40 total and buy inexpensive things off different peoples’ list. Sometimes the person has no idea who the gift came from and that makes it all the more fun 😉

Ok so does anyone know why pickles have bumps? I know they are just moody cucumbers but that doesn’t matter. I have a theory that at one point in time they had feathers. Much like the bumps we find on many dinosaur bones that reveal to us most dinosaurs in the raptor family had feathers. It was probably for warmth and a defense mechanism utilized to escape pregnant predators. The males would be sent out by their hungry mates to raid wild pickle nests. The earliest pickles more than likely only had the ability to glide or engage in primitive flight. This led to the nests being located on cliff sides or large trees so the minimum amount of effort was required to obtain lift off. Thermals would have been used to gain altitude and take the burden off of the weak wings ensuring the most efficient propulsion with limited energy. I’m sure it was a majestic sight to see flocks of pickles circling in the then mostly empty skies, gorging on dill seeds and taking them back to their young picklettes in order to ensure they grew strong and healthy. I’m considering sending a paper on the subject to some scientific journals in hopes it will be published. I believe with publication it will bring awareness to the scientific community and hopefully we can put more effort and funding into the study of these noble creatures.

Since the Tick was an animated show, maybe they’ll have a costume for Joe (Patrick Warburton). Or course, they haven’t made that connection on the show, so it’s unlikely to make it to the game.
Also, I really like the fact that characters are independent of buildings, so you can store one or the other, unlike a similar tapping game. D’oh! I have been storing characters that don’t have current item earning tasks, so it’s easier to get to the ones that do.

I love the Tick. That would be awesome. Unfortunately it’s an issue of rights. Just because he played the character doesn’t mean he has the rights to it. I doubt we will ever see any characters like that. It would be cool to have The Tick, Kronk, and others in the game though.

It was a comicon event and she’s a celebrity nerd and thats about it. She was never in any family guy episodes that im aware of so it was a pretty random choice for a character but is there anything about family guy that isn’t random? I like her larping and freeze gun tasks though they’re pretty sweet.

Paying it forward is fun, but is definitely easier to remember at this time of year. You should give this one a try. Next time you are in a fast food drive through and it is taking FOREVER…pay for your food and the person behind you. I like to think that it will disrupt the discontent and put people in a better mood. It might not but it’s worth a try!

I’ve left the person after me with my bill… I tell the guy/gal at the drive-thru that I’m with the vehicle behind me and just wave at them while smiling (they usually reciprocate and the teller therefore thinks we’re together). I just wish I could be there to hear the conversation that ensues lol
It’s basically the same thing… our Thanksgiving in Canada is in October, so maybe our concept is a little different but it sure puts a smile on my face 🙂

I have done that too! I have also paid tolls for thr car behind me. It’s fun to watch in the rearview mirror as the people hand their money and the toll attendant points to my car as I drive away.

Nothing to bo with Family Guy, but wanted to share had a great time at Comic Con Birmingham UK in our Steampunk gear, just love Steampunk. Some great outfits worn by the fans, no where near as big as US one but the advantage in our little old country is able to go to more, our third this year. 🙂
