Hello There Clammers!
Phase 4 of American Dad hit our Tiny Quahogs last week…and with it Roger FINALLY arrived to town as a permanent addition! Another a main character in his own right, Roger runs as a side questline to the main questline of American Dad phase 4. This questline will only popup once you’ve unlocked Roger & completed the final main questline. Remember this will disappear once American Dad is over on the 4th….
So now let’s take a look at what kind of trouble Roger gets into once in Quahog….
Remember, the walkthrough pop ups will depend on where YOU are in the quests and if you have room in your task bar for the new ones to pop up. If you do not see one showing, try clearing out a few others. Give them time to show up.
Roger Run Amok Pt. 1

And with that Roger’s questline is complete!

Actually this quest appears to be sticking around. American Dad just left my town and this quest started up.

Am I the only one that’s happy that the Xmas event is starting straight away? Without it, I’d kinda be on the quest for nothing after the AD event…

i’m on “the alien inside me pt.6” , Roger just finshed his smoke-break task and i just now put Quagmire on his 24-hour task of getting probed by CIA agents(haha, i can’t even imagine what that would look like lmao!) okay, i’m kinda confused at the moment so just wanted to ask&&confirm if that last quest, pt.7 AND the questline “roger run amok” disappear tomorrow also with the rest of the american dad event?…
i’ve unlocked ALL AD characters and i have every other AD event questlines completed except for these 2 particular.

Yes…all the questlines (even if you’re in the middle of one) are set to end tomorrow…

I reported it to Tinyco but is anyone else noticing that Roger’s 1 minute task isn’t giving the 20 XP indicated? I repeated it 10 times and his level bar ever moved. But after completing the 1 hour task, with only 12 XP, his level bar increases significantly. It jumped from about half up to over 3/4 near hitting level 2.

I do know you did not see a visual XP box drop at first. And it appeared that there was no XP. They were looking into that. It is correct that if you see the XP light up for the character, the XP should be applying even if it does not visually seem so.

I know not seeing the visual XP box has happened a few times over the course of the game. All I wanted to know was if 20 XP for the 1 minute action is a typo or if there’s a glitch but I couldn’t get a straight answer from TC and with the AD event ending today I guess it won’t matter anyway. (Although getting 60 XP for 3 minutes of action vs. 50 XP for one 8-hour action would have been handy in leveling up Roger to unlock his other tasks).

while i love this game & event (i’ve pretty much liked them all), i also can’t help but kind of wish that tiny co would give us a lil break with the back to back to back events,the christmas 1 will be 3 in a row now with literally no break in between! the only reason i say this is because i’m ready to get district 9 finished up & have the next characters be introduced/brought into the game. hopefully there won’t another event starting up as soon as this christmas 1 ends. don’t get me wrong, i like the events, but just not back to back to back like this.

I am waiting for quagmires 24 hr task to finish sometime around noon tomorrow, once this happens Rogers run amok quest line should kick in. Will I be able to finish it because it started before the end time, or will it just end and go away with everything else? Sorry just a bit confused.

So we are expected to complete the main quest line with a 24 hr quagmire task and this 19 hr quest line by tomorrow?
That does not seem plausible even if you unlocked Roger on Monday.

So to confirm, this questline will go away on the 4th? I may just barely have time to complete this if I get lucky on the last two boxes of wine I need. They really need to extend the timing on the quests from unlocking the characters, even if the rest of the event is done. That’s something TSTO has done much, much better.

i just started the roger run amok quest line & the events ends tomorrow, with that questline continue on once the event ends if i haven’t finished it? also, is what i’ve been hearing about a christmas event starting tomorrow (or some time this week) true?

I love the idea of all these characters but my game shuts down every time I do anything… Is any one else with a nexus experiencing this issue? How can I collect items when I can’t even get the game to stay open 😦

Not really. Roger uses it but you don’t see him use it (he disappears).

Got one hour left on klaus and i need 1 box of wine, roger’s ship is dropping in 10 minutes, so its either a drop on no klaus xD i dont really mind cause hes just a deco

There doesn’t seem to be right timing with the wine I have everything else for roger yet still need 5 boxes! I am sending them on 3 8 hour tasks everyday its not possible! Its annoying since I was waiting all weekend after I had unlocked fat Lois and Francine last week! I won’t be spending clams on a Deco that will inevitably end up in my inventory.

You can still get roger after the 4th. He will NOT disappear when the event is over, as long as you’ve built the ship and are starting to collect things for him in your town. However, Klaus is on a timer. Once the 4 day timer runs out you’ll lose your chance to get him. You can trigger that time up until the event ends (12/4 at 3pm PST) BUT if you don’t trigger it before the event ends you’ll lose your chance to get Klaus as well.

Well I really lucked out. Didn’t check the website and activated the timer too soon. But somehow I managed to get two boas the first day and the last one yesterday. Got down to needing only one box of wine, but without enough time to spare. So I shelled out 15 clams, got Roger and Klaus, then 10 clams back again. I really think Klaus could have been a full character. I would love to see him scooting down the streets of Quahog in his dish.

Bingo. This is exactly what TinyCo wants you to do. Shell out clams. I missed Fat Lois because I needed two more cookies (or whatever they were), and I had 3 days to get them! Nothing. BUT, TinyCo was nice enough to let me BUY the last 3 items for CLAMS. Clams, dear readers, are actually MONEY.
So here I am with the same problem to pick up the Alien. Only THIS time, I need 6 boxes of wine. With everything requiring an 8 hour task, what are the odds I get them before time expires? ZERO.

The timer is for ONLY Klaus. A decoration. And ONLY a side option. Many have won him NO clams. Myself included. Spending clams is a choice. We always say wait til last and make sure its worth it to you. Make sure it can’t be won. Roger has no time limit. You can keep collection on him Ling after event is over. No rush at all needed.

I activated timer by accident but still managed to get all of Rogers items and win Klaus without the use of clams at all.

I did it, too, and I had also unknowingly started the timer early. It was a squeaker, though–I got the last box of wine with 13 minutes left on the timer. The point is, it was doable.

I think that TinyCo has actually been pretty generous with respect to giving out free clams (especially compared to TSTO). Yeah, I spent 15 clams to get the last box of wine in time to unlock Roger and get Klaus before the timer ran out, but I have also tapped on the 2 free clams to view a 10 second clip multiple times to make up for it (and then some). Yes, it’s real money, but TinyCo is giving away real money on a consistent basis instead of TSTO which rarely gives out free donuts.

its day 6 since I’ve built roger ufo, I’ve got everything on day 4 except wine. The drop rate is awful, still needs 4 wine to unlock roger

I’m trying to find out the complete task lists for Roger, Haley, and Steve. I’m trying to decide if I should buy Rogers place and the moon bounce and fir me that is driven by the timing of their tasks and if I will probably use them or not. Can someone either point me to competes lists, or just let me know the timing of the three tasks using the two buildings?

Roger’s place is neat and he uses it…but no animation and you don’t see him. He’ll disappear into it like a building.

I care less about seeing him than the time length of the task. If I want to send everyone on 4 hour tasks and his only 4 hour task needs this item then I want it, but if it’s a weird time like 3 hours or if it is a one hour task but he also had another 1 hour task then it’s not as worthwhile to me.

I unlocked Roger today in enough time to win klaus as well. I sent everyone to there screening. I log on right now to see everything not saved and klaus timer gone 😪

Man, I actually didn’t get it, even though I ran the characters every 4 hours like clockwork, and got every CIA agent, I never got the 3rd boa. I’m just… so irritated right now. I even spent clams to re-roll the last couple of tasks and wasted 16 clams for nothing. Sooooooooooo frustrating.

OMG! I finally got Roger. Just in time too. I had one hour left before Klaus’ timer ran out (I tapped Stan and started the clock early) and I was down to the last Boxed Wine with only Bonnie was dropping them. She came through like a twerking champ. Bruce on the other hand was pretty much useless. Now that was a grind. Whew!

Im still working on the main quest line so I wont finish in time 😦 Thats a bummer because the quest lines are the most entertaining part of the game for me. I wonder why they would work so hard coming out with questlines that are too long to finish before the event ends seems like a waste of time for them to create something that no one will see unless they rush all their tasks with clams which im sure is a very small percentage of players. It might have been doable without quagmire’s 24 hr task thrown in there.

Are you seriously wondering why they make it impossible to get what you need? Seriously? They want you to SPEND MONEY!
I wonder how many people actually can get everything needed to collect/create a character without buying the special building (which of course cost clams), or buyin the last few items before the timer runs out (which also costs clams).
TinyCo seems to have hit on a successful strategy… People seem to need to collect every item, and the only way to guarantee that is to spend money.

I actually have no problems unlocking characters without spending clams its the fact that rogers quest line wont continue after the event that dissapoints me because i like to read the dialog and stuff. Ive managed to finish everything that has been on a timer so far clam free. The only clams ive spent are on the premiun characters that I wanted.

Just curious but is anyone else having issues with the screen moving on it’s own while zoomed in? It’s been doing it off and on for about a week now, and I just got Klaus and when I zoomed in to look at him it started again.

It’s been doing that since pretty much day one but it seems to go in phases off being more prominent… I noticed the other day that it is getting worse again.

Slight OT but I just have to say that whoever does the voice for Klaus in the game is absolutely horrible… my grandmother could do a better German accent (and I’m not talking about the German grandmother, the other one).

It’s sound bites pulled from the show, like the others. Maybe his voice just sounds different on your phone. He only says two things, hopefully they will add more.

Am I missing something? The two questlines (Alien Inside Me and Amok) are premium-players only. How often does that happen?

It depends. Just like when you buy a premium Character like Consuela, Jake, etc. There are questlines you will get with that Clam buy only.

Yay, I just got Roger and Klaus with 4 hours to spare with the 16 hours lost for building Roger’s ship!!!
WTH at the coffee table Klaus is on having messed up perspective?! The back lengthwise part of the table isn’t parallel to front making the table look weird.

I almost have Roger unlocked, I’ll probably have to spend a few clams to get him in the allotted time, but it won’t be too bad and will be worth it to get Klaus.
Though really it would have been more fitting to not have included Klaus.
They could have had him come up in dialogue after the event. Have him excited to be in the game and asking when he’ll be unlocked, to which they tersely inform him that the event is over, he’s too late and to “go away (or shut up) Klaus”.

Well another questline that will never be done by me as I am currently having Quagmire getting probed and he won’t be done until midday tomorrow. So I may be able get to stage 3, but Christmas event will stop me there.

My reply to you Bunny was: what clams buildings are required to complete Roger questline. I see the Clam and the Founding Fathers, both of which are coin purchases, and are required for everyone to build in the course of the game.
