Hey Ho HO HOOOO!!
So you are tapping round looking at all the icons, tabs, pop ups, etc during this Holiday Miracle on Spooner Street Event…but some things just still do not make any sense to you. Well I am bouncing on in to help. Break down a few things you will see around your town.
So there is a LOT of info tucked into all sorts of corners of the main screen of your Family Guy Game. Sometimes it can get a bit overwhelming. What goes where? What does it mean? In this post I am going to cover what, to date, is in the Main Event Area. Let’s break it down.
HOLIDAY EVENT AREA
This is the area where all the “temporary” Event items are located. It is usually the main hub for visual information too. So let’s take a peek at it.
#1: The Yeti Cave. You can see how many HP he has left until he is defeated at his current Hat Level above his head along with the amount of time remaining to defeat the Yeti. If you tap on the Yeti, the info for him will pop up telling you what the payout is and what hat comes next. If he is sitting, then he is in hibernation for 4 hours.
#2: Santa’s Broke Down Sleigh. This is where you can tap to see the items on Santa’s Wish List. You can see what items you have already and what ones you will still need. (FYI, the are NOT all in the game yet. More coming.)
#3: Secret Santa Gift. This is where you will find the gifts from your Facebook Neighbors or a random one from Ollie. Tap on it to open it and see what is inside and what is left in the Secret Santa Gifts. 
#4: Tree Level. Here you will see what Holiday Cheer Level is required for you to be able to Upgrade your tree when the new Tree Level is available (Notice this one says you need Holiday Cheer Level 4 on top of it). Tap on the tree to see all the details like the Current Level the Tree is on at the top, the Next Tree Level, the time until the Next Tree Level will be released, the Required Holiday Cheer Level to be able to Update the Next Tree Level, the Next “visitor” to be released from the Tree along with how much time til their release and how much Clams it will cost to speed up their release. 
#5: Wrapped Gift Box Dropoff. This is where your gifts that you wrap in Santa’s Village will be dropped off. Right next to your tree. This is the ONLY place wrapped gifts you made will be placed. So your Holiday, Striped, and Snowflake Gift Boxes will appear here after you tap on Santa’s Village when they are complete. Tap on the Gift Box to see what is inside. 
#6: Premium Silver Gift Box. This is where you will see the shortcut to the Clam Costing Silver Gift Box. DO NOT TAP ON IT unless you want to spend Clams. You will also notice a HUGE difference when opening it. Unlike the Gift Boxes above that just say “OPEN ME”, this one very clearly shows it will cost you 75 Clams to “OPEN ME”. It also shows a preview of possible prizes inside where the others do not. So do not open it unless you are willing to pay out 75 Clams. 
#7: Santa’s Village. This is the shortcut to the current items available to be “made” in Santa’s Village. Tap on it to be taken there. The items you see will vary on what you have already wrapped or purchased. Completed Gift Boxes will disappear. Upcoming Gift Boxes will remain locked.
Now it is likely MORE things may show up in the Event Area as the Miracle on Spooner Street Event continues. For now, these are the items currently available.

I have had trouble tru this evnt sending gifts… first it was the crashing issue…now the non compatible update…the point is i have 40 gifts i am not able to give… do u think there is gonna be any use for them (Exchange? )

What’s inside the fancy gift box? When does it come into play? I don’t see it in my game. All I have left is Jesus. Also, how do we fix broke sleigh? I still have quagmire, Jesus, and Santa to get but no more gift boxes.

You have to upgrade to the Jolly Tree to get the Fancy Gift box. That’s phase 3. In order to do so you must be at Cheer Level 4 (at least).

And currently you cannot fix the broken sleigh. And you can only obtain Santa by getting all the items off of Santa’s wish list completed.

My game keeps crashing please help!! I just bought that character with clams, the one that helps with the yeti and since I purchased him I can’t get back on my game soooo frustrating 😦

It is physically impossible to defeat the third yeti without buying clams for the character. I’ve done the math on Jesus and it’s looking exetremely hard and pretty much impossible. What’s the deal with this?

It’s still early. Jesus is basically the “grand prize” so we’re hoping the’ll add additional ways to beat him. But it is correct that you cannot beat the Childish one with out the premium character.

Hi Ben. I’m in the third day of defeating the childish yeti and I can assure you can do it. First day I spent 3 clams in the last half hour, ’cause I didn’t want to lose him.
Second day I was luckier, and I finished it without clams. My rates were: 2-3-3-4-4-2. Please note that the first 2 are from the character of the previous match, so you can complete 5 times with Mort and Lois and 1 time with one of them only.
Anyway, spending two, three or even five clams to complete the last task is always cheaper than buying John McLane.
Give it a try… and GOOD LUCK!

Ben, just chiming in as well. It is possible to beat Childish Yeti with only Mort and Lois, and without clams. I did it two straight times before messing up the third time. I used the start-Mort-before-finishing-off-the-Yeti method, so you can get a head start. Just don’t click on his check until the Yeti reawakens.

Hi, there Bunny…. I was waiting on the upgrade and nothing… I went to google play and nothing… I went online to this page and found out of the delay…. i’m ok with that, but when I went back to the game on my phone, it sent a message to my phone of the delay and understood… BUT NOW ONLY NO MORE THAN 5 CHARACTERS TALK…. IS THIS A NEW GLITCH….SMH… PLEEEEEASE HELP…. THANKS
… AND IN ADDITION, MR. WEED NEVER TALKED… I’VE HAD ISSUES IN THE PAST AND I NEVER POSTED BECAUSE SOMEONE HAD THE SAME ISSUE…. I UNDERSTAND IT IS HARD TO MAINTAIN THIS GAME… I’M A PC GEEK MYSELF…. PLS HELP…

Looks like some of the wish list items have changed. I’m sure Quagmire wanted a trunk full of Asians but now wants some bondage gear. Also Seamus has an item where I don’t remember seeing one for him before.

There’s no update yet in the store but the game says there is one. I’m having this problem (I have an Android) and so is my husband who has am iPhone. Anyone else having this issue?

wasn’t sure where to post this, so i’ll ask here. the next tree upgrade became available about 20 mins ago for me & when i tap the tree to upgrade it, it tells me to upgrade my game. well, i go to the app store & there no update, what’s the deal??

I’m trying to upgrade me tree (it’s time and I have all the requirements) and the box says “upgrade your game to get rid of last minute shoppers”. What does that mean? I’ve checked for an update and I’ve reloaded the game.

Btw: 3 days away from enough stockings to unlock Jesus. So, best guess, better to put off new gifts and Find Jesus, or put off Jesus and wrap presents?

Jesus is basically the LAST guy. Kinda like Mr Weed and Takei were. So you can get them at your own pace. It is up to you how to best play it out and fit it into the time YOU want to spend in the game. 😉

I would get Jesus. I got Him a few days ago and He really helps with clearing the yeti. The next update is going to need us to defeat him more than the current 18 bars, Jesus can defeat him 2-3 bars & for me, often removes 3. As a result I have kept my yeti at maximum ever since & after getting all prizes after I got Jesus, I’m still lucky enough to have over 45 blue stockings. Once you have Jesus, getting the stockings for those prize boxes are so easy you can probably get enough blue stockings to get all the gifts the same day you get Jesus. That’s just my opinion, but it has really helped me out.

They caught some issues when doing the test release and pulled it back. It is that or …launch it and shut the entire game down with a major glitch for a day…my thoughts anyway. 🙂

Hmm… John throws about 1 snowball per second. So it takes approximately 86400-129600 snowballs to knock out childish yetis. Good street knowledge.

Did any one unlocked Jesus yet? I’m a little worried that he’s in two places, maybe. The character sheet says you need a manger. The gift box station wants 15k ginger bread cookies and 500 blue stockings. Is this a mistake?

The button next to Olies world. Jesus has a silotte and when you click him, it says you need a manger. And I did see if I can attack the yetti with mort, and that task isn’t there.

I think that is just for one of his tasks what you are seeing. Not to actually GET him. 😉 (It is also a play on how he came to be…can’t have baby jesus without a manger. 😉 )

Click his sillhouette in FaceSpace, says he needs a manger. Possibly an item you get with him? I noticed it but didn’t give it much thought.

The only place I saw a reference to a manger was in the FaceSpace screen before unlocking Jesus. “You’ll need Manger to unlock Jesus.”
Probably a carryover from the start of the event before TinyCo decided on the crafting method…?

although, I wish they wouldn’t have items so close to the edge. I’ve got some office buildings there & can’t see santa. granted, I could move the items… but I don’t want to move them….

Can you still attack the Yeti even if he is in hibernation? It still lets me select the task but my character just stands there until he wakes up but the time on the attack still counts down.

You will notice that they redid the Silver Gift box (#6) . It was just a box, at first, barely visible, behind the snowman. TinyCo seems to have redrawn it to make it more visible by putting it in a cart.

This is what I do in my game…ALL characters on short 1-2 hour tasks or less. Just before 3PM PST…I clear them all and do not send them on anything else. Then I wait. That way no matter who is needed, I have an option to see who goes where as well as get a good look at ALL the tasks for each one of them in case new tasks were added (which TinyCo usually does).

Everybidy says they dont have time to do this or that its not that hard just set your most importat players fir the same time (lois, mort,john) aka 4 hours for the yeti set your other players to w.e you want then get off and set an alarm fir when ur player is gonna be done..im a pretty busy person but still manage to get evrything since i started. Its just the fact that usually you HAVE to spend clams to get that ONE thing (ex: john or the gingerbread house with 1000 cookies) that will help out ALOT but i dont mind spendin a quick 20$ and get 600 clams and spend them wisely i make 600 go along way. And its only 20$ if u cant afford 20 a month or 2months then yea itll be harder for most. But I LOOOVE FAMILY GUY so thats probably why i wont switch to the simpsons..some things Are very ridiculous and they could fix but most of the game i love. There should just be more ways to earn more clams. and it would be great like the jesus clam mission maybe do that 1 week evry month so people can earn some clams 1x a month… Cuz it kind of is robbery the way theyre doin it now.

There has been a lot of free clams so far by just playing. Over at least 1000. This event you win every Holiday Cheer Level up, chance on the Snowmen taps, chance on the gift drops, chance on the gift collections, and at least 1 a day from neighbor visits from my experience. Even if it’s just Ollie.

I can confirm that Ollie does not always give clams for visits. Nothing has changed from before the event. Some days I get it, some I dont. As for free clams.. If you dont have facebook, you miss out on a lot.

Just unlocked Jesus a few minutes ago. His first action is him break dancing like Michael Jackson on a puddle of water. I got lucky with some silver gift boxes that dropped the snowflake stocking and not only that but have kept defeating the level 3 Yeti. Can’t wait to see who gets released today. Btw I also ended up getting the Gingerbread Mansion.

Somehow my clams all disappeared, the other night. Not a big deal, but I am curious to know if it was something I did. I recall using a few clams to speed up something last week, but that is about it.
Looking at some other comments, I wonder if I could have mistakenly clicked Open Me on a silver gift box. Of course, since my clams are at exactly 0, this could only happen if I had exactly 75 clams, and then mistakenly opened the box.

Well, I didn’t realized that the silver box was 75 clams when it arrived, and opened it. My hard earned clams! Mostly all gone! And only got some cheap prize. Oh well. I since then broke down and bought a bunch of clams. I couldn’t wait longer to unlock Cleveland, Buzz and Consuela.

I was visiting one of my friends’ towns the other day when I noticed that besides the mall santas and snowmen, they had little ugly looking elves wandering around their town. I’ve looked everywhere for an answer to this but have yet to find out what they were. They have weird little faces and antlers. Any ideas?

Would have loved to see the Flying Spaghetti Monster added to the game…However, i don’t think he’s ever made an appearance on family guy but I have seen him on futurama. 🙂

How frustrating, I was so close to getting the campy dog, the final building was being crafted and I missed it by just a couple of minutes and he was gone, how foolish of me to let work get in the way. Starting to feel a few gripes with the number of tasks this game expects of players, I find tapped out has much more rewarding gameplay. Anyone else agree? Been with Quest since the beginning, but imagine I would feel super jipped if I was a new player.

I only have Jesus available, so am saving like mad for that, but trying to teh coloured stocking for that task is nigh on impossible.

It really isn’t impossible. If you keep defeating the Yeti at the top level, they add up. Yeah, it takes a while, but it’s certainly doable. I suspect, too, that with the update later today we’ll see a new hat (maybe more) for Yeti which will probably make it a bit quicker.

The only way to beat Childish Yeti is to have Lois, Mort and buying McClane. Players can’t do it unless they stay up 24 hours with only Lois and Mort. I was hoping this week would have been like American Dad where it unlocked 2 characters a week. I know Joe will be unlocked next, so it was cruel for TinyCo to have him sitting there in our menu all week.

You can’t defeat the cowboy yeti if you don’t have McClane so it may not be possible for free players. I currently have 1/100 snowflakes since I’ve needed all the ones I’ve gotten so far for gift boxes. Hopefully they add yeti fighting to more characters.

Oops. you’re right, I meant the childish one. I’ve defeated the cowboy twice but having to wait 28 hours to start over at viking makes it slow going.
