2015 in Quahog brings a New Year’s Bunny to town! Jillian has arrived in Quahog…and Brian wants her back! He’ll do anything to win her back….even dress up in a Tuxedo and quit drinking!
Tuxedo Brian is a premium skin you can purchase to enhance your New Year’s event. So now let’s take a look at Tuxedo Brian, his quest for Jillian & just what happens if you purchase him in your Tiny Quahog!
Note this questline will start for you even if you don’t purchase New Year’s Brian. You’ll be able to complete the first 3 parts of Love Changes Everything, but you won’t get past part 4 unless you purchase New Year’s Brian.

I hope this is the correct thread, but I seem to have the ‘Together as One” part 2 task icon with the image of Jillian still in my task bar on the left of the screen. I can’t complete this quest as I didn’t purchase Tuxedo Brian (who’s icon is now gone as well as from the store). I have notified TinyCo within the game, I was wondering if anyone else was having the same problem & do you know if it’ll just disappear in the next update?

You will need both the New Year’s Costumes to perform the tasks. So both New Year’s Jillian and Brian.

If the event is over is there any way to get together as one part 2 to go away? Cus I didn’t get ny Brian so I can’t do the task, but the quest didn’t dissapear when the option to buy him did

Hi Bunny… I have a similar thing happening. I didn’t get Tuxedo Brian, but somehow managed to still complete Together As One Pt 1. Now I’m being asked to complete Pt 2, but when I tap on the quest bar icon, I get taken to NY Jillian, but there is no such task for her.
I’m not that fussed about completing this quest, since I didn’t shell out clams for Brian’s costume, but I am thinking that now I won’t get any further quests for Jillian until this one is cleared.
Will this go away all by itself, or will I have a incomplete quest always just sitting there isn’t the quest bar? Not sure my OCD will cope with that!

Bunny I am a paying player and I have a problem with the extra rare bracelets for Jillian. Not enough time to get Jillian. i am at 3 of 5 and have been doing tasks around the clock. This is a bit ridiculous.

Drops will always vary by player as the factor on how YOU play. Paying into the game only makes a difference if you buy a Clam building/deco/character that helps the drops or actually buy the Material items (like buying Brian). It is not going to make your regular game play any different or special from anyone else. Everyone still has to play the game. We pay a LOT into our games, but still go through same struggles and drop rates like everyone else.
All I can suggest is keep trying and if you really must have her… debate if it is worth your Clams to get the final ones needed by tomorrow. Many said no drops then an hour later commented they got final ones right after initial comment. So just keep trying. Try force closing the app and/or restarting your device and send them on the task again. Just keep trying.

I decided to buy the costume. 150 clams seemed at least 50 too many but it’s done now.
My concern is that there’s not enough time left to run the storyline before the event ends. TinyCo did well to keep a lot of the storylines from Christmas going but in the past they’ve cut off all storylines including premium when an event goes. If this one gets cut off too I’ll be back to whine about it, sorry. 🙂

wow……they meant it when they said “extra rare” for the bracelets. i’ve had all 4 characters working away on it, 3 with 4hr jobs and one with a 24hr job. they’ve done nothing but those jobs for the last 3 or 4 days and i havent gotten any bracelets. i lucked out early so i’m at 3 so far but its a little ridiculous that its taking this long to gather 2 more from 4 characters who do nothing but the task needed to win them practically 24/7.

For me it’s the necklace. I’ve been playing this for a long time now and by far this has been the hardest item to attain. Maybe they are hurting financially and need folks to spend some clams ($$ get it :)?) on premium items in order to attain these. Either way, hang in there, one thing I have learned is to not stress over it. They always have more stuff coming. Don’t obsessed over it because you will always be chasing something in this game, always, if not this, it will be in the next event, and the next, and the next. Believe me, you will forget all about it in about three weeks 🙂

I think it is ANY extra rare item. We saw it with Rambo Lois Headband, Anime Peter’s eyeballs, and now this. Though I would have to say these are dropping FAR faster than any eyeball or headband did for me. Lol.

well as usual, timing is everything and after i complained, i suddenly received my two missing items. lol but yeah ive been playing this game since day 1 and i’ve never had this hard a time gathering an item. there’s been harder times but that was usually because i only had 1 or 2 characters that could do it. but it was surprising to see how long it took with 4 working on it. anyway its done so yay on that. lol

Been playing with Peter and Chris for 2 days, 1 item left, 2 hour task after 2 hour task, nothing. Been playing since this game was introduced and have to say that I’m done wasting my time. Absolutely ridiculous that I’ve ran the task for both 20+ times and haven’t gotten the item. Must be really hard up for $, would rather give my kids an extra apple in their lunch than spend $ on this mess.

If you are a paying player, did you pay for Brian to give you the drops Always? If not, then I am not sure where paying comes into play unless you paid for an item to help with drops or to buy the item itself. 🙂

I’m sorry, but 150 clams for a skin is outrageous. I understand that there is a difference between “playing styles” and some people don’t mind forking out their endless budgets on pixels, but 150!
Skins don’t improve your game any. I have no problem with earning clams to purchase new characters, because at least that increases your production rate of coins and EXP.
The next event better be good else I’m just going to stop playing.
Jesus at Christmas was great, I managed to get him by working hard at it and he creates Clams as an action. This is like.

I’m only 2 black necklaces away from Jillian’s new skin and while I have enough clams for Brian’s new skin, I’m just not that excited to buy it. I thought that saving my clams for District 10 would be a better idea. I have been stuck needing these 2 necklaces since last Friday so I hear everybody about the drop rate. I do not think I will be able to finish all of the New Year’s tasks before the 15th. I’m having Jillian on part 3 of Tardy now, but there are 36 more hours in the quest after that, another 24 for the end of Love, and then another 34 for Together. Hopefully, they’ll let ongoing questlines play out this time, so long as you have everyone required.

The thing with that is, IMHO, is American Dad was added at the same time as AD jump over to TBS. They used the game to advertise that fact and gave us the Smith family. Cleveland has been canceled, while the Brown family occasionally appears on FG, there is no reason to advertise the fact.
Mind you, I had a theory that Kiss wouldn’t be added to the game because Gene would want to much money to do so. Less than a week later they were added.
I guess what I am saying is, now that I gave my theory on why the Brown family wouldn’t be added, they will probably be added next week. LOL!

Forgive me for sounding “noobish” but I can’t find this “Flower Bush” anywhere. I’ve search through all the decorations in the store and my inventory, I’ve looked through some of the comments on your post and can’t seem to find the item I need or any info on where to find it. Something unrelated, but Al Harringtons Outfits is only supposed to have a hanger above it if there is an outfit ready, right? Ever since I had a character that I unlocked who already had a skin waiting, it’s been there, but all skins are crafted and completed now.

In the most recent land expansion, to unlock the five plots, one plot is $50,000, one $45,000 and so on, and each take a day to unlock…or is this just me?
I don’t have enough coin to unlock those, and was wondering if the prices drop over time (I mean, I’ve seen them RISE because of unlocking adjacent plots)

No. Price for land are pretty set. The game is set up so you take time to get to each point and level. Would be kinda boring if you could grab it all right away. At least I think so. No worries, it is a District… so not going away anywhere. Just take your time and earn some money. Before too long you will be like the rest of the players and wondering what to spend your million coins on. Lol. 😉

My “together as one” task isn’t triggering either. Both correctly skinned Brian and Jillian are up to date, no tasks are open and the required building is out. Is this a common problem?

Most of the time it is just something simple like completing a task to get it to trigger or force closing the app and restarting the device.

Oh and i got Jillian last night too by the way so it is possible. The last thing i needed was 1 gold bracelet which took me a day of sending multiple characters on 4 hour tasks for the bracelets.

Hey just letting all those people who are complaing that the drop rate sucks is to play as often as you can sending your characters on their task for stuff as many times as you possibly can in a day and don’t give up. I have never really had a problem with drop rates but those extra rare items can be frustrating because you basically just wasted X amount of hours sending your characters and more often than not you get nothing. I totally understand this frustration but keep trying and eventually you should get it.

I agree with the person who posted that Tinyco is now making it a pay for quest for stuff. Having to spend money to advance thru an event just isn’t fun or fair.

It is a game for two style players… Premium and Freemium. There will always be something for Clams and some for in game currency. You don’t HAVE to buy Clam items. It is a choice. The questline is completely separate from the main one and has nothing to do with it. SO… optional for you to complete it. 🙂

Lots of long tasks for Jillian here. I just started the 24-hour task to complete her NYE quest 3 hours ago. I still haven’t finished her 24-hour part of Love changes Everything, which means I have 79 hours of tasks remaining, putting me at sometime late Thursday before she is done. Hopefully Tinyco allows some of this to continue on past the end of the event Thursday or it will be basically impossible to get it all done in time unless you paid clams to speed up Jillian’s party dress.
BTW, the Together as One quest didn’t trigger for me until earlier today after I finished the 12-hour part of Jillian’s NYE costume quests.

I agree the drop rates for necklace and bracelets are rediculous!!!! I have been stuck needing 2 of each for two days now I have 3vdn tried putting the characters on small hour task and then trying for the items again!!!! I still think it rediculous that a skin cost 150 clams!!! It’s over 5 bucks for a skin WTF!!!! I don’t mind paying for some CHARACTERS but not skins. Plus when you do buy premium characters after the event it over the premiums are basically useless, it would be nice if Tinyco would incorporate them into other qwest for getting dtuff. You know give the players that actually spend money to play an edge on an event!!!! Especially with Jillian drop rate! Just saying…. well other then that the New Years Event is ok, defiantly not one of Tinyco’s better events but at least we got Jillian in our fun game

Would be cool if the tasks for premium characters/skins earned more $/XP than the regular ones (like in TSTO). It is kind of a bummer that characters I busted butt to get don’t do anything special now that their event is over. (I’m looking at YOU Patrick Stewart)

I disagree in some aspects of this they do use the premium over again they just used freddy and jason for christmas event and there are other times they have done the same thing.
I do agree u should never have to pay for a skin when its part of a story line but thats the way the dice roll.

Dunno where everyone has been in the last couple months with the complaint about characters not being used. Cause over the last couple months several characters including premium characters have been used for items, ect… They cant put too many at once or all the freemium people wouldnt have many ways to earn said items. I do agree though clams for ny brian is pretty lame especially as many as it was.
I also agree that premium characters should earn more money/xp at least to make them worth something. But also a problem with this game is any joint task with two characters usually only yields the rewards as if u had one character do the task. in TSTO anytime u have two characters do a joint task you make the reward for sending two characters on a task at least. There are a few oddities though. Freddy has 2 6 hour tasks which one earns more than the other. too bad i was spamming the lesser one forever before i figured that out. Ghost Diane’s 4 hour task makes double of anyone elses. And most annoyingly all characters should have a solo 1, 2, 4, 8, 12, 24 hour task. Extra tasks at that number plus joint task is ok in addition. Koolaid man has a 3, 6, 10 hour task for example. Freddy has 2 6 hours tasks but no 4 hour tasks. same with tom tucker except its 2 8 hour tasks and a 14 hour task. this crap gets really annoying that we cant send everyone for the same amount of time sometimes.

I believe people complain about characters not being use is cuz they think that characters like Takei and Freddy are premium characters cuz they’re in the same group of characters u actually pay for when they actually are not. I got most of the premiums characters (cuz I spent clams on them) and find that tinyco is doing a good job of making good use of them while a buddy of mine play the game and is 100% freemium kept whining to me y tinyco doesn’t use his “so call premium” to help collect stuff. And no you’re not a premium player cuz u use “free” clams to buy premium character either. Im fine with freemium player but not the one that think tinyco is being unfair with them even though they refuse to spend 5 buck on the game. Come on, these people have a company to run and families to feed. They work to make a good game for us. Don’t whine if u don’t spend money, I don’t think 5 buck is too much to ask for a game that keeps me entertain for a very long time now.

The problem with increasing the xp/coins earned for premium characters is it is moot in this game (unlike TSTO which seems more balanced for money requirements). I have $2M+ free coins and don’t think I will be hard pressed for paying for much in the future to need to buy any ever (I buy every “freemium” building that comes along). As for xp it really doesn’t impact the game much except when the characters are first starting and their tasks are locked (usually for a quest task). I never had too many xp locked tasks as they seemed pretty balanced to unlock the next needed task just as it becomes required.

The two extra rare items for Julian’s outfit are dropping really slow compared to in the past. I might not get the outfit before the 15th. Oh well. At least I have the character

I dont have the clams to find out how this one will end, I thought the whole point was the quest for stuff not pay to quest for stuff. What are you gonna do though, I’ve learned that evey free game that ive downloaded wants money from people, I have no problem with that I just don’t have a lot of money. Lol. There will ALWAYS be options for both styles of players. Freemium and Premium. This is a side quest and won’t impact your regular play at all. It is only optional. It is left up to you whether or not you take that option. So please don’t feel you have to do it.
