More details as we go through them…Details below the fold…
NOTE: TIMED EVENT. You will have 5 days to unlock both Phineas and Barnaby once you build. Also note that the event ends on January 27th…so make sure you build BEFORE the event ends.
UPDATE BUNNY: Here are some Clarifications on things we are seeing asked…
1: Is Rupert Event Only? YES! He will go with the Event, so make sure you get him before the Event ends on the 27th.
2: Completed Character Collection but don’t see my 100 Clams? There will not be a Clam icon in the game when this completes. Sometimes it takes a lil bit for your game to sync. If you don’t see them added to your total, Force Close your game and check your Clam count again. Facespace will show the checkmark that it is complete if the Clams were added.
3: Will I have 5 full days to complete the Characters once the buildings are placed? YES!! As long as the buildings are purchased and in your Quahog, you will still have the full 5 days to unlock Phineas & Barnaby. So make sure you have those buildings placed BEFORE the event ends on the 27th.
4: How far in the game do I need to be to see the Event? You just need to have Bruce unlocked (District 2) in order to see it.
5: What are your thoughts on unlocking BOTH at the same time? There are benefits to both sides. On one side, it is simpler to not stack Characters and be able to focus on collection for one at a time. On the other side, the Bike Shoppe DOES help drop Steaks… so there is that. 😉
First, let me note that Rupert is back! You can pick him up for 250 Clams (and the Bare Tanning Salon)…
Rupert will help you get Phineas and Barnaby…so he’s not a bad investment if you don’t already have him!

The Sweaty Clam- $4,000, 30s Build, Earns $30, 20xp/4hrs. Build to find Phineas.
Old Timey Bike Shoppe- $4,500, 4hr Build. Earns $30, 20xp/4hrs. Build to find Barnaby.
Art of Chesthair- $20,000, 20hr Build. Earns $40, 25xp/6hrs.
Penny Arcade- $2,500. 16hr Build. Earns $60, 40xp/12hrs.
Quahog Boxing Gym- 35 Clams, Earns $45, 30xp/8hrs. Drops more Joggers in your Quahog. (Earns 5 Male and 5 Female/8hrs)
BULGE- 25 Clams, Earns $60, 45xp/12hrs
Quahog Diner- 75 Clams, Earns $45, 30xp/8hrs. Always drops Eggs.
Jamie Mack’s House of Steaks- 50 Clams, Earns $45, 30xp/8hrs. Always drops Steak.

Shoe-pa-cabra- $2,500.
Joggers
Male and Female Joggers will appear in your Quahog. (Note female won’t appear until after part 3 of the main questline) Tap them to clear them. Clearing them drops items you’ll need for Phineas and Barnaby.
Male Jogger- Drops Triangular Weights and Eggs
Female Jogger- Drops Triangular Weights and Steak
For the Spawn Rates on BOTH Joggers…
They will Spawn every 3-4 hours for a MAX of 10 each in your Quahog at one time. So TOTAL MAX of 20. (10 Males & 10 Females.)

And that my friends concludes the details on this little event we have going on in our Quahogs. Remember…this will end on Tuesday Jan. 27th so be sure to build the items needed for Phineas and Barnaby before then. Also remember you’ll have 5 Days to unlock both Barnaby and Phineas once you build their buildings. So don’t let time run out on you!

So this is well past I know but I have A Whole New Stewie Pt 3 stuck in my mission queue because I never got Barnaby in time. Anyone got any suggestions or hopefully they allow characters to be earned or purchased.

The event ended yesterday…all items associated with the event left too. You can try contacting TinyCo and letting them know you can’t advance in the questline because of the building.

So I unlocked both of these guys, and part of the quest line after unlocked is to build to penny arcade, but is nowhere to be found? Anyone else having the same problem? Its not in the store

It’s been pulled from the game, it left with the event. You can try contacting TinyCo and let them know you can’t advance now because of it. They may add it back in if enough players complain.

Um, okay so I just turned on my game to get a message saying I didn’t unlock one of the body builders and he’s gone. I thought the event ended tomorrow? I’m pretty disappointed if that’s the case.

The Event… yes, so for all the items. As for them… you had 5 days from when you unlocked them. Did your timers run out? When did you activate them?

So I’m on the part of the quest to build the penny arcade and it’s no longer available. Is this because the event ended and I didn’t build it in time? I’ve unlocked both Phineas and Barnaby. Also will this quest ever go away from my log since I’m unable to progress it? Cuz that’s going to annoy me if it won’t lol

It’s because the event ended. If you contact TinyCo and let them know you can’t advance because of it, they may add it back in.

Got both Phineas and Barnaby, and completed the questline. Don’t need the joggers anymore. I know they don’t drop coins, but is there an extra rare chance for clams? Or can I just leave them running around until the event is over so I don’t have to keep tapping them?

Ummmm…the 100 Clams comes from completing a Character Collection in Facespace. In this case, the “Characters You Buy”. That means you have to Complete the collection first with purchasing everyone in that group including Rupert.
You don’t get them before completing.

Coming up… that is the downside of staged releases and “required” items for a questline. WE have to also wait for all the joggers to spawn in the games to complete the questlines. SO… in cases like that, they’re put on hold til we can verify them in our games too. 🙂

Ijust wanted to say I have unlocked Phineas with just over 2 days left and only need 1 egg and 2 perfromance enhancers to unlock Barnaby. I had started them at the same time, and still have 2d 7h left…. I did not get any pemium items either… wasnt as bad as I thouht originally. I hopeckthers are having the rates as I am…

I’ve noticed several times that some of the fat joggers did not drop an item. Is that expected? Also, I have two games going, so for example before bed I’ll check one then check the other and let my characters do actions while I’m sleeping. When I check my games in the morning, I’ve noticed that the fat Joggers in the game where I’m a level 50 are far more abundant than in the game where I’m a level 27. Is this expected?

They are a “chance” drop… so yes… normal.
Yes, spawn rates vary by players gaming levels and also can vary by your game play, items purchased, etc. Also, it can take a minute or two for them joggers to spawn into a town. There are times mine are delayed… then POOOOF… town full of them.

Just about done with both characters but need about 3 more enhancers for the one that had 80 barbells. What I want to know is why the joggers still spawn? They could at least give money. I also agree that these enhancers are taking way to long while the extra rare stuff flew out. Of course I had buildings for help on eggs, steak, and joggers.
Advice to all: Never leave your iPad out with sneaky kids when you are sick. I’m hoped up on meds and my cousin stops by with her niece and nephew. He takes my finger and unlocks the iPad while I’m sleeping and finds the game. His mom soooo owes me a clam pack. Though he did a decent job of moving the play along other than that.

I was just about to ask this very question. I will almost certainly finish collecting weights & can unlock Barnaby in 3 hours but wanted to make sure the joggers will still spawn so I can finish the quest. Sounds like it is safe to go ahead & unlock him.

For some reason the new year items are showing up as things for my characters to acquire once a task is completed (ie-Babs with her champagne glasses, John with his party hat, etc.) Is anyone else seeing this on their games?

I’m enjoying this mini event & loving that the extra rare steak & eggs don’t actually seem so rare since there’s so many joggers! Its taking me longer to get the performance enhancers since I only have Bonnie and Lois earning those but I’ll think I’ll be done within the next two days, at the latest.

Maybe I’ve just been lucky on drops, but I’ve got both characters 90% unlocked with 3 and a half day left on the timer, and without spending a single clam. Rupert and Steroid Stewie do look tempting, but they’re a bit expensive to my tastes. Already way overspent on Cleveland just a few weeks ago.

You’re probably further away from finishing than you think you are. Both characters require some of the same items. Once you unlock the first character, he will use those items up and you’ll still need to collect the items again for second guy.

When I did this update I got this glitch that causes me to miss the jokes. When I complete a task that’s part of a quest line all the speech bubbles pop up at once and I only see the last one so I only get the punchlines. Please pass on the info to tinyco, thanks.

He is part of the Characters You Buy Collection. If you have not bought any at all (Consuela, Jake, Buzz, Brain Dead Horse, Rupert) than you may not even see it.

Oh ok,I already finished the ‘characters you buy’ list a while ago,one of the previous times Rupert was released.Thanks for the clarification..For a minute I thought(and hoped) you were referencing a new character list involving the muscle men and some others from the ‘new characters’ list.As that list gets bigger and bigger I’m beginning to anticipate a clam collection involving at least some of them.

I have to say, I’m enjoying these surprise mini-events from TinyCo 🙂 I didn’t purchase NYE Brian (it was a tough decision but I’ve learned to use my clams wisely bc never know what TinyCo will spring on us lol), and out of the three animals I only bought Jesse, but I did buy Steroid Stewie right away. I liked that episode and was hoping we’d see the skin at some point! Plus I had Human Rupert from a previous event. So far I’ve unlocked Phineas (already level 3), and almost got Barnaby. Only need 10 more weights and 3 performance enhancers. I did purchase Bulge but not any premium buildings that help with drops. I’ve been very lucky with the drops, especially steaks and eggs from joggers.

Still, at least I got him. The drop rate on the Eggs is embrassing.
I had to complain to Tiny Co. Because I keep on clicking on the overweight characters and some of them don’t drop anything at all.
Has anyone else run into this problem or is it just me ? 😦

If I’m not mistaken, the drop rate for the weights is ‘common’ but not ‘always’ (or whatever they call it) so the joggers won’t always drop something. I’ve seen this in my town but I assumed it was working as intended.

Unlocked Phineas yesterday, and at the rate I’m going I’ll have Barnaby by tomorrow morning. I just need 3 more performance enhancers 2 eggs and 39 weights. They are moving along pretty easily since I have Stewie and Rupert helping.

After I collected all of the triangular weights for Phineas, I tapped the check mark and started Barnaby’s collecting. Seems to be working out ok and I’m 2 items away from Phineas being complete! Hope everyone is enjoying the event 😀

i love that you can do both guys at once, one needs i think 60 items of one thing and the other 80. i already had 25 before i unlocked the 2nd guy and he started with 25 since i’d already collected them for the first one. it works the same for the syringes too. so the beauty part, once i’ve collected the 60 i’ll just need 20 more for the 2nd guy. instead of needing 80 if i had waited before unlocking him.

I found out that you can still get the Old Timey Bike Shoppe without starting Barnaby’s 5 day timer. Just Build the building, tap the building check mark when done but DO NOT TAP Barnaby with the 1 unlock bubble icon until you want to start the time. Item’s won’t drop such as the eggs until you tap him which then shows the required items bubbles in addition to the unlock bubble. Just careful not to tap him when tapping the Bike Shoppe for drops.

Odd, works for me. I had both buildings at the same time. Barnaby started at 4 Days 23 hours when I tapped him after working a full day to get Phineas.

I also haven’t gotten a single item from either building and I check then almost every 4 hours for the last couple of days. However, Rupert has dropped steak or eggs EVERY SINGLE TIME. Weird! My guess is the system is set to adjust somehow.

Same here. I’ve had Lois and Bonnie working on those tasks since the event opened and no performance enhancers have dropped. Unless something changes there is no chance of getting either character.

Same here, have almost all ingredients, but 2 days down and only have 2 of 13 total needed Performance Enhancers for Barnaby and Phineas! Even after blowing 200 clams on a skin for Steroid Stewie to (not) help. I hate timed events…

Uncommon can be pretty bad. 1 in 7 is better/worse than my current record of 1 in 6. I’m 6/13 total since the timers started and have used more than half my time, if it keeps up I’ll be failing this one.

Have y’all actually seen The Sweaty Clam drop Eggs or the Old Timey Bike Shoppe drop Steaks? I know it says “chance,” but I’ve been working on both those guys for more than a day, now, and haven’t had either building drop either item even once. Just want to be sure they’re actually enabled / functioning correctly and mine have just been unlucky, thus far.

Yes… and all MASSIVE Events. For me personally, I think it would be exhausting to have one after another after another. I would burn out fast. A good pace and mix of ups n downs is what keeps a solid game going. 😉

That’s fine. We understand venting. I think it is in the way you word it maybe. We are really just trying to help. We want people to give things a chance, see how they play out, not judge them within the first hours. It is a different style of gaming many are not used to or may not like. So we try to offer some insight and help people to see through all the instant impulses. This game really does have some fun elements when you give it a chance. Just want others to enjoy it for the fun side too. 🙂

No clams used and I just finished the first guy in under 24 hours! Now on to the next. Really great event so far. The free stuff seems very achievable for all and i enjoy the fact that the event is a bit interactive: tapping and collecting from people running around (like with Bitch Stewie). Pretty fun! 🙂
Only slight issue i have is that Stewie skin. I have no problem that it costs clams, but 200!?!? That’s seems a bit absurd. Something in the 100 to 150 for a limited time skin seems much more fair. Especially since their clam price for new CHARACTERS tends to also be 200 (like during Halloween and Xmas events).
It’s like Tiny Co knows we all love Stewie so we just HAVE to buy him all roided up lol. But I guess i will just pass on him like i did tux brian. Just not worth the clams for me personally 🙂

I have held off starting the event until I can spend some time on it. However, from reviewing this information I am confused. I would prefer to run these separate to keep me with something to do, but I don’t think this is possible without clam buildings or Rupert (who I don’t have). In order to spawn female joggers you need to have completed Pt 3 of the questline which means you have built both buildings (Pt 1 — The Sweaty Clam [Phineas]; Pt 3 — The Old Timey Bike Shoppe [Barnaby]) and started the timer on each. You need female joggers for steaks for Phineas so you have to complete Pt 3 to spawn female joggers meaning you are now working on both characters. Do I have the correct? Plus, the steaks for Phineas are dropped from the building for Barnaby (The Old Timey Bike Shoppe) and the eggs for Barnaby are dropped from the building for Phineas (The Sweaty Clam). So if you want to do this strictly freemium, you have to run them parallel. Can someone confirm that this is true? Thank you.

The two characters help each other. They are set up as a balance. Items drop from their buildings that help the opposite Character. So… it is beneficial in the long run to have them going side by side. And don’t let the drops discourage you… the items are dropping fast and in an abundance. I think it is definitely possible with NO clam purchases.

Thanks Bunny. I kind of see it that way as well. Good strategy by TinyCo (as per usual). Running them separately without assistance from premium items (Rupert, clam buildings) would be very laborious and maybe even impossible. Gotta run them together. Looking forward to it!

I unlocked them both inside the 5 days despite accidentally building and activating them at the same time. Was fairly easy collecting everything actually. Still had 2 days left. Got facespace for them both. And no clams spent, nor stewie and Rupert to help.

200 clams for a skin (Stewie) is a bit too much. I would pay that for a premium character but a skin? I barely use the skins of other characters unless it is needed for a quest.

I’m freemium so far 63/140 triangular weights 7/10 steaks 3/10 eggs and 4/13 performance enhancers with 4 days 5 hours remaining it is doable, btw this mini event is looking great hope tiny does more like it.

Are the joggers supposed to drop the weights all the time? I know sometimes it’s a steak or eggs but I’ve had some not drop anything. If that’s how it’s supposed to be that’s fine. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a glitch or something I should report to Tiny Co.

Yes, sometimes you will get a coin or nothing. Majority though are the weights.

Given that you need about 60 weights, that’s what they’ll drop most of the time.

I’m going to be positive for once – bear with me, I’m new to this.
I would just like to let TinyCo know how nice it is just to clear the joggers by tapping on them. Not sending anybody on a 2 hour task… not herding them for bombing with some missile launcher or another… JUST simply tapping on them. It’s such a relief that it’s so simple.
I accidentally built both buildings without realising I was on a 5 day timer, but I’m not far enough yet to have worked out if I’m going to struggle. I have 57/140 weights, so I think they’ll be fine. 5/10 steaks, 3/12 needles but I think they’ll be okay if I keep using Steroid Stewie… The eggs are making me nervous (which is not a sentence I expected to use today) but there’s still plenty of time left so we’ll see how it goes.
Glad to get Human Rupert that I missed last time too, and I got a bunch of clams back for completing the set so that was nice.
In the meantime, the Brewery is ticking along nicely, with only the lack of Skis holding things up. I know they’re “tap handles” but to me they look like skis so I call them skis. Now I feel I’ve used the word “skis” too much. Skis. I can’t stop. Skis. Skiiiiiiis. Can’t wait to upgrade the Brewery to the Fear Portal so I can start getting those band members 😉

I do think we’ll see 10 this week. As far as if it’s today or tomorrow..that I don’t know. But I do think it’ll be this week…

I only got it once, but when I logged into my game yesterday, post-Phineas update, I received a game notification that Pawtucket Pat was continuing the work on the Brewery “next week.” Which I took to mean after the Phineas event ends.
