Hello There Clammers!
With the introduction of Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff there’s a whole cast of characters to unlock in your rebuild effort of Quahog! These overview posts are designed to give you a quick breakdown of the characters, how you unlock them & their tasks so you can play FGG more efficiently!
Of course there will be those players who don’t want to know the details of unlocking the characters so for that reason we’ll post all of the details below the fold. So if you don’t like to know what’s going on before you play don’t click read more…CAUTION SPOILERS AHEAD
Now that District 9 is unlocked it’s time to take a look at the characters of the Downtown District. Vinny is the second character you’ll unlock in the Downtown District. It’ll take a bit of hard work collecting all the STUFF you’ll need to unlock him, but remember Districts are here to stay. So take your time with him and have some fun 🙂
So now let’s take a look at Vinny and his tasks….
Character: Vinny
Unlocked: District 9, 20th Character in the game (freemium by District. Does not include events and premium characters)
Building: Quahog Dog Pound
Voiced?: Yes
Required to Unlock: Build the Dog Pound ($4,000), 12 Cleavers, 18 Cigars, 4 Guards Keys, Build Casa di Vinny ($5,000), Jailhouse Meg Visit old Friends.
Costumes: None (as of yet..)

I’m still confused on how get district 9/fine arts. I read somewhere that I have to complete freaks and geeks quest before I unlocked stewie, but if was after. I’m done all my quest expect to, “Her name is Ron pt.4” and “Build-a-blimp pt.2” Can you help me?

Many of the questlines stalled from some reason. All you can do is message them from your game letting them know the questline name and part and wait. They are working on a lot of them. Some this new update may have patched.

What if I don’t have the dog pound as a purchasable item and have even gotten jailhouse meg and finished her personal quests?

Let me ask you this… HOW do you play the game?
Are you playing on a Mobile Device with the app downloaded from Apple/Google/Amazon? Or are you playing on a Windows Device with the Windows Stand Alone option?

vinny showed up as TIMED for me? and it looks like no one is dropping the keys AND those are really long tasks. any idea what that’s all about?

nm… if i want the bldg der…. but still, it seems like forever for the keys to drop, mort, quagmire and joe have been non stop for 3 days and not a single key.

I think it would be cool if you could add a little bit of background info into these posts about the character. I honestly have no clue who on Earth Vinny is and why I had to work so bloody hard to get him in my town.

they usually do a post about certain characters’ backgrounds also! i think they title it “where did that come from….” or something like that..

I just wish all of them came with a 1 minute, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hour, 4 hour, 6 hour, 8 hour, 10 hour, 12 hour, 16 hour, 20 hour, 24 hour and 48 hour options. The 2 hour and 8 hours are my favorites to use.2 hours all day until sleepy time, then 8 hours 🙂

I thought Vinny got you an extra building if you complete him with in a 3 day time limit? Almost done with Jailhouse Meg, working on Blimp 🙂 Close and Closer to D8

It seems like NOBODY likes poor Vinny. I don’t have a lot of hate for the character, but what does piss me off is having a 6 hour task as his longest solo! In a game where everyone has at least a 20 hour solo task ( I forgive you Ron Perlman), a six hour task throws my whole schedule out of whack.

I don’t hate Vinny at all, in fact, I think Vinny is very cool, but I agree, a 6hr task as his solo is too short. He should at least have a 20 hour task like Ron Perlam and Tom Tucker

Can we get a 24hr task? Anybody I’m not using and who isn’t maxed, I just send ’em on stuff to level up. I know 24hr tasks aren’t the best in terms of xp, but it’s not like I’m in that much of a hurry and I’d rather “set it and forget it.”

Maybe you can also text Matt about a costume Vinny should wear, like that classy costume he wore in FG1208 – “Christmas Guy”.
