Hello There Clammers!
With the introduction of Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff there’s a whole cast of characters to unlock in your rebuild effort of Quahog! These overview posts are designed to give you a quick breakdown of the characters, how you unlock them & their tasks so you can play TQFS more efficiently!
Of course there will be those players who don’t want to know the details of unlocking the characters so for that reason we’ll post all of the details below the fold. So if you don’t like to know what’s going on before you play don’t click read more…CAUTION SPOILERS AHEAD
In this edition we’re going to talk about a new character to TQFS, a little lady introduced with the new Fine Arts District, Olivia. Olivia is the only character you’ll unlock in the Fine Arts District. So now let’s take a look at Olivia and her tasks….

Required to Unlock: 4 Buildings from Time Traveling on the Blimp with Stewie. Each building requires 13 Plutonium Briefcases to unlock. More can be found here.

I have sent my blimp away over a month ago and it hasn’t come back. It saids I need to send the blimp and I hit the ok and it does nothing.

Iv complete the saloom by completing dance hall pt 4 and dancing snake by completing egpitain pt 2 but still can’t unlock oliva please help as I can’t unlock any more levels

I got my last batch of plutonium for the triceratop. When the blimp disappear, my game shortly crashed (getting more and more frequent these days). When I went back, My blimp never returned. I didn’t get the triceratop and all the plutonium dropping characters lost that ability (as it was the last thing to collect). What do I do now? I tried looking into my storage and there’s no item there.

Thanks! I never did get any dialoque despite letting all characters be free from tasks, but I contacted TinyCo and this evening my Family Guy updated… and I found the triceratop in storage. When I placed the triceratop, Olivia was completed.

I see what you are saying about completing the task sets in order, I wish I had looked at this earlier
Every time the blimp had a yellow check mark, I clicked it and travelled, out of order
I have stewie at part 2 of the quest for the acropolis (Virgil’s first edition) where he is to watch gladiator movies.
I have not sent him to that task (I will next time he is free in an hour)
BUT
The last 2 trips the blimp came back empty (I see why-I’m out of order)
And the last time, the blimp returned empty, then DISSAPEARED!
I have no blimp and no tasks to earn plutonium.
I will send stewie on his task and let you know if the acropolis appears when I progress to the right point. If not, seems like I’ll be in a jam with no blimp and no way to travel
Hoping game stored last 2 empty trips and will reward acropolis and the Olivia/stewie adventure as I progress to proper point in the adventures.

UPDATE – my blimp DISSAPEARED before I was done with it. As I went back and completed the tasks like bunny said-the items appeared (no blimp but the items just poof appeared)
So if you go out of order it looks like it’s broken, but apparently your progress is saved for when you catch up.
They could have made it more clear maybe by having it in inventory, with a lock, pending the task…..

My thoughts are the Plutonium is a struggle for many, so I actually like you can get the Blimp portion out of the way no matter where in the questline you are. That way you don’t have to keep stopping and waiting to gather plutonium to send it off.

My blimp disappeared completely although I still need to unlock 2 items for Olivia. What do I do? It doesn’t come back any more…

You didn’t do anything wrong, you just kinda got ahead of the game. The Blimp makes a total of 5 trips before it is finished. However, each trip includes dialog too that drops/unlocks the remaining items. If you just sent the Blimp over and over… you have completed that portion. Now you just need to complete the dialog/quests that went with it. Each one is 3 to 4 parts, the Blimp being just 1 part of them. 😉

I’ve set the Blimp off 5 times and for the past 3 times i’ve not got any buildings for it. I was stuck on the quest for Vinny and Stewie because i didn’t realise i could purchase the egyptian bath house from the store and now the Blimp has gone… Can i no longer get Olivia?

That is normal. You just haven’t completed each trip. The Blimp trip is just one part of 3 and 4 part questlines. There is still dialog needed to be completed in order for you to get all the times. So complete that dialog with Stewie and the person that traveled with him and you will see the remaining items.

My last two blimp trips have not worked. The 3rd trip didn’t drop anything and I don’t recall if it crashed or just didn’t drop. Kind of made me mad but whatever. The 4th, as soon as the blimp returned, the game crashed. When it left, I had 14 plutonium but when I reopened the game, I had none. Not only did I not get the reward for Olivia but I lost an extra plutonium. My game is also crashing a lot visiting friends! Very annoying. Just started with the last update. Maybe I should delete and reinstall?

No. You just didn’t finish each quest. There is a 3 or 4 part dialog with each trip. Gotta complete that questline to end to get each item.

I had the blimp for ages, I collected all the plutonium and silly me purchased Olivia after wards not realising her tasks were linked. Now the blimp has disappeared coz I’ve collected all the plutonium and I’ve got no way to unlock Olivia!!! Wish I had of realised 😦

Finish the questlines. Blimp trip is just one part of the 3 and 4 part questlines.

I took the final trip for the blimp when i laid last building and tried to unlock
Olivia it glitched and made me start all the plutonium again i got her 1st quest to boss people around so what do i do know

I finally got the final.blimp peice from rome but as soon as i was gonna unlock Olivia game glitched and now it got reset having.having me to collect the plutonium again i have the 1st quest chain of Olivia thou to boss people around

Did it glitch when you sent off the Blimp? Or another part of dialog?

I’ve had Olivia for a couple of days now but I am still able to collect Plutonium for the Time Travel Blimp. Is there going to be another trip in a future quest line?

There’s a trip with Oliva and Stewie in the questline. Once you do it the blimp will disappear…

Hello I have a question. My girlfriend has not yet reached the new district. she has a way to go but what part will she be able to buy the Egyptian Bath House so she can do the new district? I don’t remember where I got mine since I am way ahead of her. If u could be so kind to tell me that would be great. Thanks! =)

It’s been a week and I’ve only collected 5 plutonium briefcases. Also I have only gotten 1 tap handle in three weeks for Pawtucket brewery. And does anyone else’s game only save half of stake they’re doing? When I send all the characters to do their tasks and exit the game, when I return only half of them are doing what I sent them and the other half are waiting to be sent to task. This is incredibly frustrating especially when trying to collect things!

Sound like you may have a connection issue. Do you play on WiFi? Solid Signal? I would suggest if your game is experiencing an issue of connection to visit Ollie at the end of play each time to force the game to sync the current game play.

I have taken 2 trips with the blimp so far and neither have returned anything.
It is bad enough that each trip takes 13 plutonium and that each characters 6 or 8 hour activity doesn’t result in a suitcase, but now with each trip not resulting in something is going too far.
There are too many times that a character needs multiple copies of an item that takes several weeks to obtain 1 item.
It took a few months to get Stewie and now it looks like Olivia is the same.
I really hope this is a bug that they will fix. Otherwise I think I’m done.

You’re just not completing the trip. There is a complete dialog set with each trip you need to complete. Once blimp is back, finish the rest of dialog to get item.

There were no dialogs when the blimp came back either time. Does Dance Hall Days Pt 1 need to be complete before I get the dialogs? If so, it shouldn’t have let me take the trips.
I have had Olivia’s house for a while now but have not finished Dance Hall Days pt 1 yet as each time I clicked on the land Peter told me I had to wait until the surrounding area was cleared first, even though it all was. Just tried it again, and of course it worked this time.

I had started dance hall days pt 1 several weeks ago and collected enough plutonium to take 2 trips, both trips were taken after I had built Olivia’s house and she was waiting for the items.
The first trip I took I had clicked on the blimp after having enough plutonium and clicked on the activate button. The blimp took a trip and returned with nothing.
I figured maybe I had to activate it from Olivia so for the 2nd trip I clicked on Olivia, clicked on Get Acropolis, which took me to the blimp, the blimp took the trip but didn’t bring anything back.
Do I have to be at Dance hall days pt 4 before the Blimp will return with anything?
I am now collecting for my 3rd trip but do not want to take it until I know for sure that it will bring something back.

Yes. As I’ve stated, the prize awards/unlocks are questline linked. Sending out the blimp is just one part of the 3 and 4 part questlines. You’ll still need to send it, but also finish ALL that storyline to move on.

Mine are not dropping well either. I thought I was going to get the snake thingamabob last night, but it took two additional trips for each character to get one briefcase.
On another topic, has anyone used the “nuke” button yet? I’m going to have lots of time on my hands while waiting for blimp trips so was thinking about a complete rebuild. Just curious of what others have thought about doing so by way of nuke? I think the part that worries me is the inventory. It’s a pain already because of all the stuff I’ve had to store because of a lack of places to put them in town.

Im still 12 of 13 briefcases for an entire day now. My characters arent dropping the briefcases. I still haven’t done the first trip!!

Update: STILL on 12 of 13. Sent characters to do their jobs twice and still no briefcases. My friends are all on their 3rd blimp trip and I cant even get through 1. Its kinda frustrating.

I think EA should make it less plutonium to collect, 13 is to much when the drops dont happen ofiten.

I disagree.. I also have only made the first trip and am working on the second.. it’s happening very quickly if there are only 4 trips. The Pawtucket brewery.. now that took forever! finally finished that nightmare lol. Just mention bubbles and I start sweating and shaking 😄😄😄

Well, it took a while to finish crafting multiples of every single item in the brewery, yeah (I finished during the middle of the valentine’s day event), but I feel like it didn’t take all that long to finish the questline, anyway. And there was a lot more going on during that. I suppose I’ll see what happens on this one. Collected 22/52 plutonium needed so far (or 22/65, since apparently there’s a 5th trip after you get Olivia)

It’s not uncommon for TinyCo to release a character without a voice and then go back later and add one in.
