Hello There Clammers!
Dropping in with some much needed GOOD NEWS about candy in the Telenovela Event. Are you ready for it?
The Candy requirement has been changed to….35! They’ve dropped the required number of candies down 20. So now you’ll only need 35 Candies to unlock Spanish Soap Opera Peter! So many of you should be there already!
The event still ends at 3pm PDT on 3/18/15….BUT with this candy drop many of you should have no problem getting him!

I had given up when I realized it wasn’t realistic to get SSP based on time, candies, and drop rate. Then this happened with no fanfare. Had I known, I’d have persisted. Poor form, Tinyco.

Well, I am not that impressed, I contacted TC as instructed on here, due to the rate of appearance of Pinatas, I don’t care what anyone says, the last three/four days had a distinct drop in there appearance, one or two a day, TC responded and there reply was akin to tough, the drop rate had not changed, ummm, yes it had, i was getting more pinata;s than i could cope with to start, at the end i had a huge surplus of hits, I have paid a lot of real money on this game, not anymore, they were fully aware of the issues, which is why they dropped the limit in the first place, they should have increased the time by a couple of days as well, for the many that have lost out.

I got whipped into hospital slap bang in the middle of this mini event. God damn you kidney!!! Cost me 25 clams!!

I was within 2 hats from getting Spanish peter. The candy rate change didn’t help anything since I had no problem with that just could not get the hats to drop so I have no Spanish Peter. I’ m really getting tired of this crap. I’ve done 4 blimp trips and have only got two prizes taking forever to get any plutonium cases,I’m lucky to get two cases a day even when all 5 characters are constantly going. I’m real close to just giving up,its just not worth the stress.

Sorry to hear that. As far as the blimp, it is in parts. Each trip consists of 3 to 4 parts. The trip and dialog. Once you complete the dialog and finish the trip is when the item will appear for you. 😉

What dialog,there is no one to tap on to say anything,I only have jobs for characters to do to get the cases,no one is highlighted for tapping……I was within 2 hats from getting Spanish peter. What is the last tasks you did in the Fine Arts District? Is the land all cleared?

All land is clear and all jobs are done,just the little girl standing there waiting for stewie and Vinney to take a swim which they can’t do because the blimp won’t cough up the bath house.

The Blimp doesn’t have the Bath House. The Blimp makes a trip, comes back, then there is dialog between the two, and when they talk about going to the Bath House (Part 3), the Bath House appears in your Menu to buy. Check the Shopping Cart section in the Buildings and Deco tab. It will be there for $4000. 😉
This is the same each trip, the blimp is just one part of 3 or 4 parts of a dialog that has to be completed for all the items to unlock in that grouping. 😉

I think when Tiny Co lowered the candy needed, it reduced the drop rate for plutonium. I haven’t gotten any since then, and i only need 3 more to finish that nonsense.
Come on Tiny Co. Let me finish one storyline before another one starts! Argh!

Let them know please if basic troubleshooting doesn’t help. (FYI… a change in candy amount has no bearing on a Material drop. 😉 )

I usually get everything in this game, I have spent a lot of money on this game and I check it regularly. I am level 58 and yet I didn’t get Spanish soap opera Peter. I am so mad that I do not think I will play this game anymore. I have played since the beginning and tiny co will be losing out on money

No, I did NOT get SSO Peter and I am pissed off as hell! As a stay at home mom who checks the game **** near every hour I missed out on the last skin to get my 25 clams. It takes entirely too long to get items needed to unlock characters and finish quests and you aren’t guaranteed said item. And I don’t have the money to buy clams to get him. Thanks for nothing TinyCo.

I managed to get my last hat with just a few minutes to spare so I did get Spanish Soap Peter but I didn’t get to do any of his quests or finish the other quest that required smashing 50 Pinatas. The spawn rate for me was so slow, only one every 3 hours or so, that there was just no way to finish. Even more frustrating because I had something like 25 blindfolds by the end. At least I got the 25 clam reward though.

I still needed 3 more hats with at least 2 hours left go on both Bonnie and Louis (with no guarantee that they would drop it) and saying that it’s 5:50 central time the event should have already ended I said the heck with it and spent 15 clams to finish SSOP and got the 25 clam reward.
There was way too much effort needed to complete this! especially with the spawn rate of pinatas. I’m 1 away from 50 and it’s super frustrating

SSOP takes 5 mins to craft. Good luck! To get the 25 clams you need to complete Peter’s Craft Box #1 which is complete with SSOP. Woohoo!

Got Spanish Peter this afternoon, with 6 hours to spare YAY! Now I need 11 pinatas to make the 50 with about 2 1/2 hours left. I don’t think I will make it. I’ve had my game open on and off all day and only 2 pinatas so far since midnight last night.

Can someone tell me how long it takes to craft SSOP after you have all the requirements? The reason I ask is I need 2 more mustaches and the people who drop them will finish at 2:48. If they drop them will I have enough time to even craft him or is it instant?

I believe if anything it’s 10 minutes… i instant unlocked him so there was no clock for me

I’m glad TinyCo realized its error and decided to lower the amount needed to 35. I just wish they had done it one day earlier since coming out of the weekend it was pretty obvious that the number was too high. But they look like heroes and people are all feeling good as we enter the event tomorrow. I hope they review the process for these timed events in the future. I don’t want things to be incredibly easy, but I would like a puncher’s chance to achieve them. It is great when everyone has a chance to get things so they can utilize those characters/skins in future events so we feel there is some value in having them.

I had the same issue with spawn rate contacted support and they fixed great however now I am getting 0 drop rate not so great with only 3 sweets to go I’m pretty annoyed as I really wanted this skin 😐

Just wanted to point out bc I seen a few people on social media and such say some things.
I’ve been playing since the weekend event started. My candy drop was very rare at first then went to rare. I even at one point looked to see how much it was gonna cost me in clams to buy him out when the event was minutes away from being over. Would have been a lot more than I would have wanted to clam out considering they was supposed to be Common! Please remember everyone’s game is different with drop rates. I love the level of challenge. But when everyone has such a difference with the same item then there is something off. TC fixed the amount based on the survey and feedback. I have 47/50 pinata and just got my 35th candy and that is with the first pinata before the challenge so I hit 48 and only got 35. I have 27 blindfolds as of right now. I was also one of the few, that piñata did not do as they should. I was literally getting more plutonium on Saturday and Sunday than candy! Thank You TO and Addicts for always hearing us out!

No they should still be spawning. Contact TinyCo through your game and let them know, they should be able to fix it

I don’t think TinyCo were too off with this event, I managed the 50 piñata task yesterday, where they hit a problem was not making the candy always drop. If that had been case I would have hit the original 55 target within the time. I like the challenge side to the game and wouldn’t like to see things made too easy, I don’t want to lose that nervous anticipation of the final day of event drops. But it was good that TinyCo having realised even diligent players couldn’t collect the items made the necessary change. I also think seeing your post on collection totals made their decision an easy one. It was a great way to send feedback to them without any abuse etc. Anyway I’m up to date so I’m having a night off to prepare to boldly go…….. well who knows where with TinyCo but I’m certainly enjoying the ride.

Got my final hat this morning and crafted SSO Peter. And just this minute got the last pinata spawns for the New Mundo quest. No clams spent! Now I can save them for the Star Trek event.
Who else is hoping for costumes for Sir Patrick, George and Benedict?

I finished mine already. Wasn’t that hard, I just let the piñata a build up in my town to get the most out of a few hours. And I would never collect the payouts from the houses so the piñata a can have something to latch onto.

47/50. I will miss it by 1. No biggie to me really. Hear the end of the quest is uneventful so as long as you have unlocked SSOP, that’s really the most important thing.

I hope not. I just paid a few clams to get the last moustache and now have SSO Peter off singing. That quest won’t end until after the questions deadline, but I’m hoping since he’s started the quest, TinyCo will let it finish.

I really have no idea why the game does not like me, but i have had 4, yes FOUR, pinata things appear in my town over the last three days, and thats, it, even with the reduction, there is no way i can make the game, I still need 7.
I have a pile of hits ready to go, but nothing to whack, its really getting on my nerves, it is the same for the Blimp, i just cant get any cases, its taken me ages to get the first two, and i am way off the third, I play the game on the hour every day, as i sit at my desk, i set my alarm, so everything gets sent off for an hour, or whenever they require a longer task term.
It is these sorts of things that makes the game less inviting to play when you feel that all the hard work is for nothing.

I’m sorry, I love this game. I do. Been playing religiously for almost a year. But the expectations are getting ridiculous. Get an enormous amount of things in a short amount of time or you don’t get the character and they’re gone forever. you’d have to play this all day every day to get the required items. What about those who have jobs and can’t just jump on the game at all hours of the day? And it’s not even the amount of playtime. If the characters don’t drop the stuff then I lose. I lost out on sexy Meg and I hate that. Now I won’t have enough time to get Spanish peter because just Lois and Bonnie weren’t enough. 2 people every 6 hours and they didn’t always drop hats. I have a busy day and sleep at night. There wasn’t enough time.

Hats wers a problem for me as well with only the two characters. I have 6 hats to go.
This game is great, but yeah, people with jobs who can’t play on this all day do get screwed, especially with some quests where if you are a couple hours off on getting back to the game, there is no way to catch up, unless you want to buy clams to use, but not everyone can afford that.
Glad to know I am not the only one with these issues.

I am going to have to spend some clams if I want this. I had 4 chances to get the 3 hats I needed. I whiffed on both of my first 2. Frustrating. I do not think “common” means what they think it means.

Nearly there I have two moustaches still to get by my calculations i have till 10pm GMT this evening. Have all available characters on tasks just waiting till they finish, if i dont get them will cost 10 clams max.

Just got Spanish Peter now. If not for the candy being dropped from 55 to 35 I would never have unlocked him. Good job by TinyCo realising it was unrealistic target in the 1st place for a timed update. if he wasn’t timed there would have been no issue. I have no problem with drop rates for quests that are not timed. if it takes me 3 mths to collect what i need does not bother me. I am happy that i will get what i need in the end.

As of this morning, I was able to complete the candy, mustaches and used my last 20 clams on the remaining hats needed to get this skin.

Still need 8 more hats. Spent all but 6 clams trying to catch up, and only got 1 hat out of 4 possible chances, I guess it wouldn’t have helped anyways (hat to time ratio), but it was worth a shot, and I played quite often (not like I did for Valentines stuff)… Oh well.
