With the New PeterPalooza Music Event in our games, there are a lot of questions running around. The main one I am seeing is WHO or WHAT earns you the items you are going to need for the game.
Well I am here to help. Let’s take a look at Earning the Materials Glowsticks and Skull Guitar Picks for the Event.

First off, the obvious ones. The Characters/Costumes you unlock through the Event will help drop Glowsticks on every single task. A complete rundown on their Character Profiles coming in other posts.

Drops 2 Glowsticks 
for each one tapped (ALWAYS).
SPOTTED TOADS & TOAD USERS
Spotted Toads: Drop 5 Glowsticks (RARE)
Toad User: Drops 5 Skull Guitar Picks when 3hr task with Rockstar Peter completed (ALWAYS).
CONCERTS & ENCORE CONCERTS
When you put on a Concert or Encore Concert, depending on how many Fans you tap and Stars you earn… you can increase the amount of Glowsticks and Skull Guitar Picks you get in your game.
Here are some Examples…
Avril Concert: I got 24/40 Stars (12 Fans) in the 2 minutes and my Payout was 80 Glowsticks & 30 Skull Guitar Picks
. (3 1/3 out of 5 Stars filled on Pop Up)
Rockstar Peter Encore Concert: I got 58/80 Stars (4 out of 5 Stars filled on Pop Up). Same Payout as before. 80 Glowsticks & 30 Skull Guitar Picks.
So do what you can to get Avril Unlocked and on Concert duty if you can. It will jumpstart both the Materials.
QUESTLINES
Completing the Questlines that appear will give you the payout for any tasks associated that drop the Glowsticks along with the extra at the Completion Screen. (Most so far have been 10 Glowsticks.)
There you have the Basics of earning some Glowsticks and Skull Picks.

I just got the quest The True Fan Challenge to Get PeterPalooza sign, Spooner Stage and Festival Merch Kiosk and a grand prize, with The True Fan Challenge Pt. 1 having 24 hours to Clear 4 bears, 4 toad users, 12 bee swarms and have Joe Lion grow White People Dreadlocks.. that is the PeterPalooza sign.. Does anyone know what the Grand Prize is yet?

No word on toad user spawn times yet? Need moar picks to keep going, but beekeepers is all I can do now. Wish we had timers of some sort, even if we needed to ‘witness’ the respawn first in order to get it.

Hey Bunny your guides always come in helpful during event’s just a quick question do you have any idea how to gather picks? i know that having peter jam collects 5 and the beekeepers give you a chance of 1, but we need so many to get everything needed and when i click on my stage it needs me to gather stuff for Joe lions concert.. with all the pics needed and only being able to drop 9 every few hours it’s going to take a long time to get the amount needed for everything.. do you have any tips?

I didn’t think you could do them after the event updated.. but i found your thread on how to get concerts held, i play on my pc otherwise i think i’d have ran my phone/tablet battery out just clicking blonde girls lol

Yes. He has the stage now until unlocked. You can try another way…but at your own risk.

13 is the max per 3 hours, considering 5 for the toad user and 2 per beekeeper (which you can get every 45 minutes, and shouldn’t need to worry about honey: 2 hr tasks for 5 characters and a max of 4 beekeepers to keep stocked is plenty without even spending clams on the tree or ranger station). Still a little low considering how many we’d have to spend to get every item listed thus far, but if you didn’t buy Makeover Meg then you should be okay. But how many of us didn’t buy her that had the opportunity… (apart from glitches)

I put it in another post but the bee hippies still drop hackysacks even if you have them all. So those drops will affect pick counts.

I completed phase 1 Thursday night and I still have yet to see a hippy getting attacked by bees or the greased up deaf guy. Is there a certain quest I have to complete before they show up?

Quick question. I have a lot of my non main game characters, advanced district characters (from P. Pat onward), and buildings from old events in placed in storage (to help game stability). Anybody know if any of them drop stuff or glowsticks?

Ok, so I’m having a little issue. I performed Avril’s show, cleared a toad guy, and performed the encore. I got 135 picks from all of that (50,5, and 80). I bought makeover Meg and now I only have 5 picks left. She was only 100 picks. I haven’t bought anything else. Is anyone else reporting this issue? Any suggestions? Thanks ladies!

Don’t mind me. I saw picks. Typed picks but tired no sleep 3 days brains said “Sticks” (and 100 people asking about Sticks over n over made it stick). Sorry bout that. Lol.
I’ll go back to my basement now. Lol.
Watch where else you spend them. Several items and characters need them, so if say Avrils lock was “bouncing” and you checked off her guitar picks… it’ll take them away. There are several decos in merch that use them too. You can get more than one of some of them.
However… if you’re really falling short and can’t find out where they went… please report it in case 😉
Back to rest my tired brain. Stick/Picks. Man I missed that completely. Lol

Totally understandable. I’ve reported it. I was being really careful not to spend them until I got Meg. I can’t seem to find a copy of the first merch page and I don’t want to look in game because I don’t want to trigger Brian. Owell, I’ll just keep earning them I guess! Thanks again!

Event is pretty fun so far…however, I am slightly disappointed that I cannot do the Avril/Peter encore performance since the event introduced snoop dog. when you click on the stage, I am now prompted to start the Joe part of the event. This all happened while Avril was just finishing up her “secret performance” task, the last step I needed to complete to do the encore performance. Has anyone else come across this problem? is there something I can do to fix this?

This event is pretty fun so far. I’m waiting on everyone to finish their quests so i can do an encore. Once that’s done I should be able to get Meg’s costume (only need 15 more picks).
Can’t wait for you gals to get more of the various questlines info up so we can plan accordingly.

Ps has anyone else experienced game shut downs when trying to speed up tasks? Mine dies twice before it actually works.

I’m assuming the merchandise will change when the next artist drops. I see a different skin for Stewie on the cover page. I’m banking the picks and glow sticks for the possibility of that plus maybe more buildings.

I am so relieved to see the numbers on the picks. I bought the Neon sculptures for glowsticks and I think they look good, and I got the pick store to help, both with glowsticks and picks. I was worried that I would either miss Meg or have to buy her, but I should be able to earn enough in time thanks to all of the different tasks. I always find that it takes a while to get going at the start, then the middle is normally under control, then at the end the event seems to raise the amounts needed to quite a high level which requires a lot of coming back for tasks and other things.

I unlocked Avril earlier and did her concert, I got the full number of stars and so I got 100 glowsticks and 50 picks! I had about a minute left after getting all of the stars I needed too! More kept spawning and gave coins afterwards, also spawned a couple that dropped glowsticks with each lot. Not sure if they were meant to be the normal ones or not as they didn’t count for the stars, but they did spawn in waves. Given that the rest of the main questline won’t take long, I think I will complete the tasks to do the encore concert. I want to finish the questline first to ensure I am ready for the next part, but I want to make sure I get Meg so I’ll complete the tasks and do the concerts until I have her.

Following the advice on here regarding roads, and a bit of luck in that I had no fans on my remaining road first, I have successfully negotiated my first concert with a 40/40 stars return, plus 100 glow sticks and fifty guita picks. Well on way to collecting Makeover Meg now 😀
Only sticky point now is the rate at which questlines appear. Have four event plus Loretta on screen and the one for the Encore.

i take everything back about the timer for Makeover Meg LOL i didn’t realize up until I created Rockstar Peter when he clears out the ToadUsers that actually drops 5 guitar picks each time i’m guessing! Love alll the new ideas and excellent creative skills too!! Awesome job TinyCo.,!!! 👍😄😊😘

As always during these events, to ease in clearing the fans, frogs, etc., walking around your Quahog, take full advantage of the fact the game will find one for you to clear if you look from within a task. Having trouble finding fans and don’t want to wipe out your buildings just yet? Go to Avril (or Peter, but not for as long) and click on the “get glowsticks from fans” task. If you have any fans left, it will point you right to one of them. If you don’t have any left, it will tell you. If you dread that task itself eventually being cleared and forcing you to hunt for fans, consider using those glowsticks now to build the buildings/deco that you’ll eventually need for the storyline, and thus keep your total low enough that you can still use the task via Avril. It’s going to take you time to grab her other items anyway, so you might as well. I imagine you can do the same with Makeover Meg once (or even before) you unlock Avril, but I haven’t tried to access Makeover Meg yet, since she is timed from when you begin.
Also, regarding clearing buildings for ease of clearing walkers, that’s basically unnecessary. Clearing visually blocked road instead is just as easy, and makes it much easier to recover your layout once the event is over. Has the added benefit of limiting your search area as well.

So I performed my first concert and something really silly happened…
I did everything you said, made sure my roads were all together, etc.
I started the concert and immediately 8 girl fans showed up. I cleared them all right away, but nothing re spawned. I went to the stage and clicked on the girl link with the timer counting down and it said there were no more fans in town. So I double checked while waiting that there were no phantom roads. Waited and waited, and with about 10 seconds to go, about 30ish girls popped onto the screen. It happened so fast that I had no chance to get them all and ended with 22/40 and a bunch leftover for coins after the concert. Any reason as to why this happened? I should have easily been able to get all 40 if they spawned once I got the first 8…

Make sure there are NONE on streets before you start it. Clear them as soon as first batch hits.
Then it’s up to luck on how many more spawn and how fast you tap n clear. Don’t worry about materials. Just rapid tap girls. Materials auto collect.

I thought the tribbles would go straight into inventory, but by the time I was at the right district to be able to do it – I didn’t have the heart. So little Blondie, Dagwood, Dagwood’s brother Dagwood, Dagwood’s other brother Dagwood, and Tofu are still happily wandering on my streets.

This is probably my favorite event so far & I can’t enjoy it yet 😥 😭 even after the 2nd update a few min ago. I was able to start it & play enough to fix Avril’s chair then it crashed forever!!!

First if all, major props and thank you for all the hard work on keeping us well informed. I have only been playing his game for about two weeks, so I am a major newbie. I have a question since this is my first event: once you unlock a character like Avril, is she yours to keep in game even after the event is over or does she disappear after? Thanks!

Good question, that I do not know. If you see her Costume in your game and you do not have Meg, there is a good chance you can and she will just go into storage for later when you get the actual Meg Character. I will ask though.

Let me join the bandwagon, I still haven’t unlocked Meg and now I checked and there isn’t a timer next to her character. Did tiny co. decide to take that option off?

Are you currently creating a character in Al’s? Does Al’s have a timer on a costume right now? If so, it will disable any other costumes until it is done.

But it costs at least 180 glow sticks to get her materials for a concert. I think I have a better chance (without using clams) to get Meg in time if I focus on buildings that generate glow sticks and then let the sticks and picks build up without using them on Avril until Meg is unlocked. With Peter now serenading the toad users and all the buildings built, I think Meg will be unlocked in a few days. I hope… Or have I miscalculated?

Plus it costs 120 glow sticks to unlock Avril in the first place. So that first concert costs almost as many glow sticks as needed for Meg. The concerts would help with picks, but hopefully Peter’s voice will hold out with the toad users. Or will their spawn rate doom my plan? I just need one more every three hours.

I had almost 500 glow sticks (no clams) when Avril’s last hockey puck dropped so I went for broke and tried it Bunny’s way. Got my roads down to a single small loop, diligently practiced poofing toads while waiting for the puck, and voilà! In two minutes I was back up to more than 300 glow sticks (100 from concert) and went from 10 picks to 60. So will have no problem getting Meg. Don’t know why I ever would doubt the Wisdom of The Bunny. Thanks!

It honestly is all up to how YOU play. There are multiple options of getting Glowsticks all over. So if you feel just tap and go is best… use what works for YOU. I am just saying that these are a HUGE source of Materials needed. Those items for Avril are going to have to be purchased sooner or later for the questline too.

I will probably be tempted to do it your way once the last hockey puck drops… I already have almost 300 glow sticks and everything else Avril needs for a concert. Decisions, decisions. “Work?!? I thought this was a game!!!”.

Thank you! This is very helpful. I do have a question though; how often do the fangirls spawn? It seems like it takes a long time. The toads seem to appear about every two hours or so but the fangirls I only see a few times a day.

For me… every 2-4hrs. You get a boost of them during the Concert… then back to 2-4hrs again. It seems to vary by player. Let us know what you see.

For the female fans you said always drops glow sticks, that’s wrong. If there are four female fans, two will drop glow sticks and the other two would drop coins for me. Also, I clicked on 5 female fans and instead I got stars, and when I clicked on the stars it went up but not sure where lol I did a screen shot if you want to see.

If you got stars… you are thinking of the WRONG ones. Those are triggered for the Concert. They don’t drop the same. 😉

The Stars appear DURING Concerts… was anyone performing a Concert or Encore on the stage when you saw this? If the answer is yes, then all is as intended.
If NO ONE was on the stage and under the two minute Performance timer, that is something you need to report to TinyCo in your game. (It could be carry over from the concert if you did not clear all the Fans triggered by the Concert and a couple were left roaming.)

It was a few minutes after the concert ended. I guess it was w glitch. I did email tiny co. Let’s see what their reply would be lol but I’m still excited about this event and also the informative information you guys provide. I swear I check this website daily lol

This is what I see… if you do NOT clear them all, the ones that spawned via the concert (and act different then the normal ones) will drop stars and then coins instead of the Glowsticks they would have during the Concert. But once you clear them, you still get your standard spawning ones. Those give you +2 Glowsticks. 😉

This is a massive help! As soon as I could, I got all my characters on task to unlock Rockstar Peter. (Got him an hour ago.) I have bought all the buildings that generate glowsticks (none of the ones that require clams, though). I want Makeover Meg!

I did my first concert. 5 stars 40/40 dont remember the number of glowsticks but 50 guitar picks. Looks like i’ll be getting Meg tomorrow. When you clear the first dozen or so fans more will appear. Might wanna only have a small strip of a street also to keep them in one easy area
