Greetings Christmas Crackers!!
It’s beginning to look a lot like MORE Christmas. Raid to the North Pole Phase 2 is now live in our games. This means more Costumes, Buildings, Decorations, and just a lil bit of snow.
With this new Christmas Event, we also get some new Characters. Like Lyle.
Let’s take a look at what Lyle can do in our silly lil games.
Lyle is a Character added during Raid to the North Pole 2015. As with (almost) all Characters in TQFS in order to unlock him you’ll have to collect lots of STUFF.
For Lyle, the STUFF you had to earn for revolved around Santa’s HQ. You FIRST had to acquire all of the previous 5 Prizes that were in front of him. Once that 5th Prize was collected, the next tap on the HQ started the 24HR TIMER FOR LYLE.
Once you got to him after the previous 5, you were able to tap on him in Santa’s HQ and open up the Pop Up Info to see he required 250 
Presents to get him or a Clam Option if you didn’t want to earn presents. (My game showed 500 
Clams).
If you were able to get him in time or spent Clams, he first appeared in your Inventory Storage. You need to go pull him out of the Inventory and into your game.
Once you took him out of your Inventory, you will then find him in your game on your Quahog Streets, or in this case the North Pole with an Unlock Icon for you to tap on!
He does come with a Questline, Robot Redux, more on that HERE.
Lyle does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn $$$ & XP. He also has an “Alternate Task” to help earn items like 
Magic Hats, 
Snowflake Medals, & 
Lights by doing Battle in the Holiday Humma. (see this post for more details)

**Note: Within an Event, tasks may change and vary as the Phases come and go. So some of these tasks will be temporary. Others may be one time use. Some will stick around even after the Event. We won’t know until the Event ends.

Do you know if there will be another opportunity to get Lyle? Like in a mystery box, perhaps? I’m really bummed that I missed out on getting him!

I got Lyle last night and set him to his first task. I used clams to get him. However, I woke up this morning and Lyle was gone. I was wondering how I can get him back and if there is anything that can be done.

Gone how? On a task at base camp? In a Humma Battle?

I got Lyle last night and sent him to part one (swap out parts). I go into the game today and his tasks are gone and I no longer have him. In addition, the option to get him has expired. Is there anything I can do? I spent clams to get him.

This guy seemed like nearly a requirement for me to get so now I’m well behind in yet another event after ‘holding’ to save up all those presents. I don’t like being so behind during events but that seems to have become the norm with how they’ve been setting them up. Oh well

I delayed progress on phase 2 to get him and only got him yesterday. Kind of regret it since I still haven’t seen Sarah Connors unlock.

I decided to get Lyle and even though it put me ‘behind’ I’ll be ahead soon. The reason for this is because I have no desire to get the 900 present gift for week 2. I love having Lyle. It’s nice to have someone other than Santa for the hats. And if Santa is busy he can just go on his merry way by himself. I haven’t completed his quest line yet. Just been using him to get presents.

I play FTP, so I decided the best tactic was to hold off on buying the fortress until I had a good amount of presents saved up, or enough that I thought I could polish him off within the countdown. Anybody still trying to get that far now has the added benefit of knowing what he costs. I didn’t at the time, so I just guessed 150 would be enough and got lucky it was close enough.
