There is going to be a VERY CRITICAL option hitting your devices tomorrow morning, so I want to ensure you have plenty of time and warning on this one.
TinyCo will be doing two things tomorrow…
- A New Event lauch
- An option to Play the New Event OR continue Playing Star Trek
The choice you make when this happens is very very VERY IMPORTANT! So read ALL the details below and pay attention come morning.
OPT OUT OF STREK TREK OPTION
Basically this is what is going to take place…
- 1.19.0 App Version will hit the market sometime tomorrow in the AM
- Those UPDATED to the 1.19.0 App Version will then see an Icon to OPT OUT OF STAR TREK
- Those Opting out will move on to the Next Event
- Those NOT Opting out will stay on Star Trek until 3pm Pacific
I WANT TO OPT OUT
IF YOU CHOOSE TO OPT OUT, THIS WILL NOT BE REVERSIBLE….. BE WARNED!!!
Let’s break this down. IF you no longer want to play the Star Trek Event and wish to instead move forward to the New Special Event, then you will take the following steps.
Download the 1.19.0 Version of the App as soon as it hits your Market.
Watch in your game for the Opt Out Icon, it will look like this…
When the Option presents itself, select “OK”
Star Trek will then be completely removed from your game. Any Leaderboard position will stop at the last amount of Latinum you have. There is NO going back. There is NO reversal. You will NOT be able to collect anything for Star Trek any further. The Event is Ended.
****In other words, others CAN pass you up if you opt out and they continue to earn more than you****
I DO NOT WANT TO OPT OUT
For those of you that do NOT want to stop playing Star Trek, no worries. You will still have the FULL time until 3pm Pacific to finish up the Event. Just make sure that when the option is presented to you, that you make the choice to KEEP the Event.
Download the 1.19.0 Version from the App Market when it hits for you.
Watch for the Opt Out Icon to hit your game, it will look like this…
When the options presents itself after tapping the Opt Out Icon, select “NAH”
The Star Trek Event will stay in your game now until 3pm Pacific.
WARNING: MAKE SURE IF YOU EVER TAP THE BUTTON AGAIN YOU DO NOT OPT OUT! Keep selecting “NAH” if you tap it again at any time.
RECAP
- New Event launching in the AM
- App Version 1.19.0 hitting the Markets in the AM
- Option to stay and play Star Trek until 3PM Pacific or OPT OUT NOW given with Updated Version
There you have it. Some basics to watch for in the morning. Depending on when it hits, as I will be at work… I will try to get as much details for the NEW Event as I can up. Otherwise I will finish the details when I return home. Everyone else staying on Star Trek… complete it BEFORE 3PM Pacific. When the Event goes, it takes it all with it. Including Characters you have NOT finished earning Materials for.

Family Guy Addicts 
Is anyone else having an issue putting the turbolift from the start trek event in their quohag? I took it from inventory and placed it so peter could do a task that required it and it is invisible . I am able to collect magic beans from it but when I try to send peter on the task it still shows locked and says it requires the turbolift. I can’t put it back in my inventory either.

As soon as the event ended I updated my game; but I found out two of my characters are no longer in my inventory; Data & Locutus.
What happened there? I even spent clams to unlock them… 😦

Double check Inventory Storage in the Characters Tab. Any Characters you fully completed unlocking should be there or walking game.

I was top 1000. Somewhere around 700s. I played open till 545 today… I decided to let the time lapse instead of starting the new event. When I logged back in it forced me to do an update and when I got to my game it said nothing about the two characters I should have won… When do I get these?

I opted out of the game for the time being. Killing Bertram time allotment was too short. Never got past second Bertram.

On your post you state that if you opt out that others can pass you up in bold lettering but another person asked you and you replied that wherever they are on the ranking when the opt out is the the prize they’ll get. Since both of those conflict with each other, what is the right one?

Both are accurate in what I was trying to say. Let’s show an example to explain better…
IF a Player is at 10,000 Latinum… and that is in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Place when the Leaderboards close at 3pm… then they will get the prize for wherever the 10,000 placed them.
If a Player is at 10,000 but the lowest spot is 15,000… then the Player will NOT get a Prize.
I am just relaying that just because you Opt Out it does NOT mean you are pulled off the Leaderboards and can no longer get a prize. Your Latinum earned is locked at the amount you left it. So depending on what everyone else does after you leave…will depend on if you get a prize or not. You can be passed up. Make sense?

I got all excited because I thought your post was going to say we could stay in the Star Trek event for days, or even another week, longer, not just the few hours that would normally be available, anyway. 😦 I’m finally stomping on Cannon Borg Bertram, and while I have given up on the leaderboards, I hoped to get a few more characters and replicator items, without having to “rush” tasks with clams.

I’m going to miss wandering around the Enterprise and watching the Borg Kittens. I just took a bunch of screenshots as keepsakes, mainly of Borg kitties trotting into and out of rooms and hanging around the crew and even with the Borg pups and generally looking adorable. The holodeck seems to be a major attraction for Borgs of all species.
I think I’ve run out of things to buy. More than 32,000 pink anti-matter sparklies left. Either I reached the pod plant limit or reached my tapping finger’s limit, couldn’t get the button for it to click. Even got the Captain Pike costume for Joe, which I hadn’t planned on because it doesn’t do much.
How long is the next event?

Is the 1.19 update Apple only? My Play Store only has 1.18.5 and my Kindle Fire App store only has 1.18.0. Seems like I will be forced to keep Trekkin’ along.

Out of curiousity, what’s the current minimum latinum amount to place on the leaderboard (tier 3)? (I can’t check, I’m still falsely banned since Christmas) 😛

Do you see the leaderboard now the event is over? I’m able to view it again now, but unsure whether that means I got unbanned or maybe everyone can see it now?
I have 42000 latinum, so should get a prize if not banned although the leaderboard isn’t showing me a rank.

I’m going to continue playing especially since I was hoping to get a chance at acquiring Uhura (She’s the only one I missed last time) but she hasn’t made an appearance, at least not in my game. Has she not been brought back at all?

Will there be a poll at the end of the Star Trek event? I thought the relaunch was a super cool idea! Would love to see possible relaunches in the future. Also the opt out option is. Cool new feature!!

I’ve got nearly 40,000 Latinum but I simply cannot be bothered to waste an hour (or longer) replicating pod plants to climb the leaderboard – and then have an argument with TinyCo about me “cheating”.
Think I’ll give the new event a bash.

“Do not pass GO. Do not collect $200.” That kept running through what is left of my mind as I read all the dire warnings…. 🙂 We played a lot of Monopoly (on a realspace board! No computers!) when I was a kid.
I’ll just avoid the update until they force it. I’m still enjoying shooting Borg cubes, picking up more and more pod plants, and taking down Borg Bertram especially since now I have everybody but Guinan on the job. I started so late in the first Star Trek event that I just barely opened up Sick Bay before it ended, even with the extension, left Dr. Crusher and Counselor Troi struggling under debris, and never really understood the Away missions and never got to the battles. Now I have several characters I missed the first time, plus a chance for enough pod plants to cover all of Quahog! Not interested in the leaderboard prizes this time, just love those pod plants. Now if they had the Borg kitten instead of the Borg puppy as the last prize, I would be too busy buying everything in the replicator to write this…. But since they don’t, all that latinum just slows me down in getting MORE POD PLANTS!

I want to stay with Star Trek just to see if I can crack the Top 100. I’m sitting around the 190 position and I have a chance to take down 2 more Borg Bertrams and one more collection from my group of Romulan bars before the Star Trek event officially ends. I’m also close to hitting the 1250 Pod Plant limit, so it might not be worth while to stay. I already used up all my other materials buying other things. I wish there was an item that only cost Transparent Aluminum *cough*VulcanFloor*cough*, since I have tons of that.

Didn’t think there was a limit on pod plants. It went out of my replicator menu while I was trying to clear my last 2,000 anti-matter. Thought I’d be bested until I realized if I couldn’t get more Latinum from them, most everyone was in the same boat as me.
I never got the opt-in/out option this morning and haven’t seen an update yet.

Man, I might as well just move on to the next event. I know I’m extremely low on the leaderboard. I won’t get Bertram, and that’s who I really wanted. Ready to tackle this new event and hope the Black Knight and his girlfriend make an appearance. Plus Knight Peter..

I’m feeling the same way. I have every premium character except Borg Consuela, played constantly, never missed a Borg Bertram defeat and still am nowhere close to getting Bertram. I feel like if you completed the main questline, they should give you Bertram automatically. He’s too major a character to be missing from town.

I’m in the same boat, I’ll probably just end the event because I was also banned for no reason and haven’t gotten a response for the last two weeks as of why? Luckily I got everything but that Vulcan floor last Star Trek event so the only reason I was playing was that they would fix the ban before the event ended.

I’m going to go with no. I was banned as soon as the leaderboard went live. I followed the instructions here and appreciate the help Bunny provided. I in game messaged TinyCo, I sent an e-mail with my userid. I provided all evidence. Not a single peep. I think that’s what happens when you are a freemium player? The lack of response is what keeps me a freemium player. Although I know I earn them $ by clicking on the tv to watch ads and get clams. If it were not for this site here, I would have stopped playing this game long ago. So thank you Bunny for your work.

Nope. I’ve been falsely banned since Christmas, shortly after that leaderboard went live. Still trying to get any kind of helpful response for that (I want the Chugs that I earned).
Apparently the ban is permanant cause I never even saw the Trek listings. As soon as it went live I only saw some generic programmer ban message. I was banned before they’d even written a proper ban message!

I got banned on day one after I pulled all my ST characters and buildings from storage. Sent them a message and I got a reply saying I had cheated and but I could have one last chance (it was quite lengthy and obviously an auto reply). I was unbanned about 12 hrs later. About four days later I got a short reply saying they had determined I hadn’t in fact cheated and they were sorry.

That might have been the message that was sent in error to a lot of players when they were doing the sweeps for the leaderboards.. I wouldn’t take it personally if they took the time to write you a message that you in fact hadn’t cheated and apologized to you..

Just curious as to why they would do something like this if the event was going to end tomorrow anyway? Would you happen to know if there is an advantage, as a player, in oping to stop the Star Trek and proceed with the new event? I know its hard telling because obviously you haven’t seen the new event. I was just wondering your thoughts….

Until an Event is released, I do not know how it will play out… so I can’t answer that. I see this more as “I am bored and played this event already, give me something new” option really. 🙂

Personally I opted out. I had finished the first Star Trek event and so this one felt kinda easy (I had all the characters). I had no chance of climbing the leaderboard, so I figured on to the next which by the way seems very cool! I had pretty much stopped playing earlier in the week. I am well on my way in the new event.

Seems kind of silly to me. Is it going to be that much of an advantage for players to get into the new event a few hours earlier? Or is this just about people being tired of Star Trek since only 5k can place on the leaderboards anyway?
I wonder how long the new event will be, since overall length that will affect how much help a few extra hours might be. Few hours is no big deal if it’s a month, but if it’s a week that’s a lot.
I don’t know what to do! But I do love popping tribbles. Lol

What a great idea! Well done, TinyCo. I liked that they brought back the Trek stuff, but I didn’t have the time to dive into it too much (despite already owning all the characters and having a leg up). I will gladly opt out early, but I hope they continue doing mini re-events in the future. Loved it!

He was in a mystery box last time (a free one, that you could buy with leftover event currency). Quite hard to get though – I opened something like 30 boxes but didn’t win him.

Same here!! I didn’t have too much dilithium left over last event.. I don’t have too much anti-matter this event left over either, lol, after replicating pod plants – that STILL aren’t getting me past the 1800’s on the leaderboard. I was in the 1200’s.. But I seem to be dropping.. Aahhh!! Don’t think it’s worth it at this point.

I think it’s nice of Tiny Co. to give us the option. The choice is easy for me, for once lol. Can’t wait to see what the new event is going to be. Fairy tales would be cool…Cow Brian, sure 😊

The VERY LAST Latinum count that YOU have when YOU end it (whether opt out or 3pm Pacific) will be used for your placement. Does that help?

Obviously this means you will no longer be able to gain Latinum, but will you still be able to access the Leaderboard? I imagine that even if they opt out, people on the bubble for the top 5000 or near the cutoff for one prize or another would like to verify their positions as close to 3pm Pacific as possible, so they know whether they’re getting anything, and if so, what.

For some inexplicable reason I thought the event would end today. Just threw everything I had into the replicator, used up most of my catnip, bones and torpedoes and thought I was done with it. Now it goes on, and I have to decide – keep chipping away at the leaderboard, to get at least one new item, or get a jump start on something completely new? And I am so terrible at making decisions…
