It looks like we have been transported back in time to 1999, or is it now? With all the times I hear on the radio or see on the TV “THE END IS NEAR”, I just never know when the world is actually gonna end. Guess I will just have to keep on waiting to kidnap “friends” for my underground shelter. Wait to take out a bunch of Zombies with my real life Maze in the back yard. Wait to see if Twinkies and Cockroaches really do survive anything (well Twinkies almost didn’t survive a company going under”. BOOMSDAY IS HERE!!
With the New Event comes along a Main Questline that will walk you through the different Phases of the Event. For Phase/Week 1 the Questline is Peterpocalypse.
Let’s take a look at Peterpocalypse and all you will encounter along the way.

Place The Diner at the End of the Apocalypse: Cost 5 Twinklies (Stockpile Tanker)

Fortify the Power Plant Gates: ***coming Thursday with Phase 2***
This is where the Questline stops for Phase 1. It will pick up when Phase 2 hits Thursday.
UPDATE 4/14: This is live now, if your Gates are ready to be “Fortified” you will see a “2” over the Gates. Tapping on them will “Fortify” them and complete Part 9. You can get this done so that when Phase 2 launches in a few hours (hopefully) you can start the new content.

I have more than 1,250 waters. I have no option to trade them in for twinkles, except with many packs of cigs. Yet you say I can trade them in alone for twinkles. Where and how? I also went for over a week with no mutant Stewies. When I complained to support about it then the next day I had 3 mutant egg piles, and now get an egg pile every day but no reply from support, hehe

Do I need to get rid of most of my roads and buildings so I can hit more than two mutant Stewies at a time? Or will they roam around my entire town no matter what? I really don’t want to have to destroy everything.

They will roam no matter what. The only benefit of ONE patch of road is that where the Egg piles are found. If you have all your eggs in one place, that makes it easier to tap on multiple piles at once then quickly drop a Smoke Bomb on the Mutant Stewies that run out of the cleared Egg Pile.
Out side of that, I have only a few patches of roads each surrounded by a maze to keep them all in one spot when they run. At times one will get away through a side of the maze, but for the most part I have been getting 12 at a time. Tap on 3-4 Egg Piles and Bombs Away right away.

I have not been abled to smoke bomb the mutant stewies.I get a group of mutant stewies together and hit detonate then a scope pops up then I hit detonate again and it zooms the scope all the way in and nothing happens.I cannot even hit the x button to close the detonate screen.everyone is just walking around.it happens over and over.support hasn’t answered me back since yesterday afternoon.I cannot even bomb one stewie.it doesn’t take my bombs from me though.I now have 13 of them.any suggestions?

They spawn around roads. Check all over by them. Especially if you have hidden areas. Also, make sure you are well into Phase 2

Just a head’s up for everyone — Al’s now has the Apocalypse Peter costume. One of the actions to get Ornamental Skulls is Make Commander Jesus Do Parkour, IF YOU CLICK ON THAT it will trigger a seven-day countdown to get the Commander Jesus character!

He’s getting sick for me at least about every four hours. I have him on an outdoor task (hula hooping) in case that makes him tastier radiation bait.

I know it’s a rare item, but have people been getting drops of Frizz Shampoo from the distillery? I’ve been collecting fairly regularly and zero drops. Considering the number we need for Neil, the lack of any so far (even one of those first collection pity drops) is frustrating.

I am right there with you. The other items are dropping at a consistent pace, but I have had nothing from the distillery for 2 days. I wrote in and received a “everything is dropping as planned” message in return. I guess “as planned” means no shampoo for you! *grin* Based on the current pace, I will be happy if I get Neil by the next phase, but I am not going to stress about it, just keep playing and see what happens, as I decided to go freemium for this event due to the IRS! *chuckle*

Anyone know how much Sidewalk Joe will cost in twinkies? I’ve stalled on unlocking the distillery so I can get him within the timer but not sure how much I need to save. Also, does the opportunity to get him finish after this phase or can you still get him in phase 2?

If you have not placed the Distillery, his timer will not trigger but tread carefully. Phase 2 WILL drop another page in the Tanker of items and until Distillery is placed you can’t access them. So if you place it and go to phase 2 page 2 items you’ll still trigger Joe’s timer.

Cool! I’ll hold off and see what comes up in page 2 then before I decide to go for Joe or not. May be worth using my stock piled water bottles elsewhere if that’s the case. Decisions decisions 🤔

Hey I have a question i purchased neil from the trading post but havent fully unlocked him yet but I know phase 2 starts tomorrow do I have to have him unlocked and finished getting the materials for him before then or do I have until the end of the event. Thanks

Ok sweet deal…..Ive been spending clams left and right on the moonshine distillery trying to get shampoos bc they wnt drop extra rarely lol bc I thought I saw somewhere he had to be fully unlocked before phase 2 hit but I couldnt be sure Thank you so much ur the bestest!!!!!

I wish they told me about the timer for Sidewalk Joe and how it works. this is the first event I had any chance in participating in. Now I can not get Joe because I can only generate about 30 twinklies a day at my level 😦 had I only known how the timer worked first!

I’m at Fortify the Powerplant Gates Pt 9
But nothing is helping with the Gates … I’m at level 5/6 … any suggestions?

I was able to fortify the gates (more stuff gets put on them, extra plates looks like, when you tap on the radiation button) by about 7pm EST (didn’t try earlier). Gave out some toilet tissue. Ominously, the green fishies beyond the gate vanished…. Up to no good, I imagine. Haven’t seen the questline but that vanishes for me periodically also. Maybe because Peter is busy collecting a net.

It’s been a while since ive said this but I finished the week 1 questline already. Just have to collect the items for Neil Goldman and get sidewalk Joe. It’s the first time in a looong time that i haven’t fallen behind because of bottlenecks or delays. So far so good for this event. Hope it keeps up. 😊

I’ve seen the Twinklies trade rate varyi from 34 to 50 water bottles.

Well, for a start I’m dead on time with the main quest chain at least, don’t know really where my Neil unlock is compared to others (seeing how he finally got out of Twinkie Prison about 30 minutes ago, oh sorry… “Twinkly Prison”).
Still irked at not getting Giant Chicken though.

Feel this is silly to ask :p are Twinkies remaining the main currency for the event? I’m assuming yes so I’m thinking of skipping Joe’s skin and saving for the next phase to get a good start as I’m really liking the buildings for the event (maybe time for a redesign with an apoc area)

I think it is like the movie event, in that you are always going to use water bottles (popcorn) to earn twinklys (reels), but in the next phase you can also purchase the twinklys with a combination of water bottles and cigarettes Then again, I may be wrong! *chuckle*.

Hi bunny, im on peterpocolypse part 8 and Chris has yet to get sick from radiation poisoning. I saw it in one of your post you said Chris should get sick by part 4. It’s kind of okay since I just unlocked Clevemire today but I can’t progress until Chris gets sick anyone else having that problem.Thanks, You’re the best!

In Part 8, I cannot get Clevemire to cure Chris of radiation sickness. When I click on GO, I get “Everyone is ok right now. But don’t worry it’s Boomsday, someone will need saving soon.” When I go into their task list and select it from there, they complete the task but it never progresses in the Part 8 box. It still says Go.

Finally! An event that is very doable for freemium players! Al of the unlocks are reasonable so far. I just unlocked Cleavemire, I’m working on getting the items for Neil Goldman now and I will definitely be ready for Phase 2 when it launches on Thursday! Praying this pace is maintained throughout to event because it makes the game 10x more fun to play!

Will we be getting a post on Sidewalk Joe? Interested in seeing if he’s worth the effort to get him. Don’t want to make the same mistake I did with HHH, where he’s effectively useless for the rest of the event, and I end up missing out on other characters (Stone Cold, Giant Chicken) because of all the event currency spent to get him. If all Sidewalk Joe does is give us an extra method to get TP, I think I’ll pass, but if he can get me back those 115 Twinklies, with interest, or he can be the difference in picking up a later character, I might get him.

Thanks. Looks like my Twinklies will be better spent elsewhere, then. Since I’m a little ahead I’ll probably go ahead and stay away from the Stockpile Tanker once I get the Moonshine Distillery in order to postpone the counter, in case he pops up as useful for Phase 2. Not like I’ll have anything to spend my Twinklies on during that time anyway, after all.

I have to say that I am very happy that they have started to listen, and making things a little easier!!! I know I m a few days in but should have the airplane by tomorrow! It is almost like I am getting 1-2 things a night!!! I am loving this one all I have left for stage 1 is the final activity for Chris so I will be ready for Thursday now just to focus on Neil and hopefully Joe!!

I’m curious if the unstable nuclear reactor will keep dropping 6 clams per 1/2 day after the event. I’d buy it if it does, but won’t bother if not.

if I try to place Goldman & Son Trading Post the game crashes
If I tap Unlock Neil Goldman the game crashes
If I try to place the Diner the game crashes
If I tap find train rubble in stockpile Tanker, the game crashes.
The game is currently unplayable for me
