Thoughts on week 2? How are you progressing with the characters/skins? Thoughts about Greek Life in general? Sound off below, you know we love hearing from you!
This event has ended and I didn’t got to get Tri-Bri because I couldn’t play due to my phone breaking. Still, the task Give It Up to the Gods pt. 8 is on my board now when I started playing the game again. How can I finish it If I didn’t have this character?

Did anyone else complete a quest and got 1500 ambrosia and 15 fleeces? I don’t even remember what quest it was. I have never seen one be that generous before

Is there a way to earn 4,000 Ambrosia per day Or even 1,000? Otherwise it’s impossible to get Hades, unless you spend $60 in clams!

Bought medium fountain. With all the characters working I got about 1200 ambrosia, give or take some per day.

Is there someone that already has Tri-Bri? Is it helps dropping something? Thanks

I recently started playing fgqfs again after months since my tablet broke and I didn’t have a device compatible w the game. So when I downloaded it the greek event was already going. Im just wondering what kind of a time line the has? The last event I played was the star trek one and it lasted a month maybe if im recalling it right? Im not sure what”week” im on but I still haven’t unlocked toga peter and im on level 6 for the event. Ive unlocked all the districts though and most characters. Im a freemium player and its so dissapointing how they make it so hard to get stuff when you don’t pay. 😦 so how much longer will the event last is my question. Thanks 🙂

I think it’s 4 total weeks…we’re almost to week 3

Does anyone think it’s possible to get 8,000 Ambrosia for Hades and 3,000 Ambrosia for Tri-Bri as a freemium player? I’m thinking of buying the fountain upgrade Small Ambrosia Fountain for 200 clams and maybe that will earn me enough. It will earn me 60 every 4 hours which I’d probably collect 4 times a day for 240 Ambrosia a day. Right I have 1,795 Ambrosia and I have only bought the buildings that drop Soul Spells from the Week 2 University Store.
Any thoughts or any better ways to earn Ambrosia?

Yeah, I just looked at the 8,000 requirement and laughed. I might make 200-300 per day (as I’m grinding for apples & the fleece) so after 5 days I’ll be 6500 short. So, I’m just going to ignore Hades and focus on getting some more buildings

Honestly, I think it’ll be tough. I bought the Small Ambrosia Fountain in week 1, which helped me with Zeus, but now I’m not sure I can get Hades, even with that. I have all buildings except for the Gift Basket, which is required in the quest line to progress to week 3, and I’m at just under 3,000 ambrosia. Once I get get Tri-Bri, I’ll be back down to 0 and it will be a struggle to get 9,600 ambrosia (1,200 for Gift Basket + 8,000 for Hades) within 3 days.
The only thing I can think of that might help is churning out ambrosia offerings for centaurs. But currently my slots are filled up with soul spells (need 14 more), and then after that it’s a trade off between more ambrosia and styx coins (from either Zeus or Hades).
Anybody else have ideas on upping ambrosia?

I can’t see any way as a freemium player, especially if you are buying the buildings to progress through the main quest line and of course getting the Tri-Bri skin. You will need to drop some clams to get the ambrosia you need for everything.

I think it is going to take a while to get the 3000 for tribri, plus those required for the prizes necessary for progression. I need tribri and the dionysus theatre and am currently down to 400 ambrosia. Need a load more fleeces from minotaur so can’t grind the hades gifts… slow!!

Is there a definitive list of character tasks for this event? It would help to know who to take out of storage or Tan Lines if they would drop items to help during this event. I just learned by accident that Herbert has a task. Anyone else???

I totally agree. This would be an awesome feature for the blog. It would also be great if TinyCo would involve more players…especially later quest characters – Pawtucket Pat, Madame Claude. They could help drop resources…just not be required for those resources. That would be fair for beginners, but also a great incentive to push on in the game’s main quest.

Herbert isn’t listed as a character that drops Ambrosia when you click on the question mark for Ambrosia in the game, but he does have a 4-hour task that drops it. Thank you for pointing it out!

He didn’t have one before, it’s a new addition so you haven’t missed out, don’t worry 🙂 I might be able to make a lil character items post tomorrow or Wednesday if alissa doesn’t have anyone else lined up for one ^_^

Been thinking/looking for this since Tan Lines came out as well. Otherwise every couple days im emptying the place and checking 70+ characters which gets tedious

Stewie now has a task, and Mort drops bad scripts for Tri-Bri

i find its going to be nearly impossible to get 8000 ambrosia for hades..most characters only give you 4-6 for a 4 hour task..then you have to spend what you get to get the buildings that make the scrolls or youll only have 2 people that can gain them. 3 days almost and ive only been able to get to 800

Can you make a post about the buildings and how much they cost to get from the store? I would do it myself, but I don’t to trigger Hades’s timer

The cost of each building has been posted by myself and others in the comments section of the main Week 2 post, you will find all the info there.

So what does Hades give you once you defeat him? Right now I’m only on part two cause in order to go into part 3 of the main quest line I have to visit the university store and I don’t want to trigger his timer

For the people that said that I don’t need Brian to move forward look at part 8 of the quest chain in the above post, it requires you to have tribri do a 4 hour tasks and if I don’t have him I won’t be able to do that task to move forward to trigger the quest chain for the next part of the event, just like how you had to build the pantheon to move from week 1 to week 2

He could possibly be a separate character and not a skin, that is unlikely though. Hope so for your sake, going to take me ages to get the 3000 Ambrosia needed for him so maybe its for the best this event gets killed for newer players, week 2 is really tough!

Contact TinyCo in game and let them know. They may do something to change it. Since they state you only have to have district 3 done, it doesn’t make sense that they would require a district 6 character. Then again, even though you can create it in Als, it may be a separate character, like Big Bad Brian, and not just a skin. Who knows! *chuckle*

I just can’t get the last fraternity paddle to drop, to build Toga Peter. So that means I can’t do Greek Week Part 8 (much less part 9) and move on to week 2. ARRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I’ve been looking at week 2’s quest chain, buildings and costume in comparison to the actual rewards for offerings to Hades… Hades offerings seem seriously inefficient. You should use the majority of the Soul Offerings on Minotaurs, and only use it on Hades when you need it.
The turnover of Ambrosia for Soul Spells is 30 for Minotaurs whilst it’s only 5 for Hades offerings. Hades seems to drop only single Dead Man’s Bones (regardless of offering stage) of which you need 10 total for Tri-Bri. The Styx Coins is the ‘only’ reward which increases exponentially; it’s up to you to decide how much you fancy that in the first place.
Initially, I thought this would mean you should just wait with offering to Hades until you reach a quest for it (part 4, 2x part 5 and part 7) and then just do single offerings for Tri-Bri, but that tactic is hardfought considering you’ll only be having 3 Bones after 4,5 days that way. That taking into account anyway, you’ll have to average three offerings in order to get done for Tri-Bri before phase three hits: guess it’s best to plan doing a full run once, so that he resets sooner and you get 4/10 Bones.
All in all, the skewed rewards for Soul Offerings seem to be a bit off.

I agree Jayson – the minotaur drops are non existent so far for me. I’ve hit quite a few and received ZERO fleeces 😦

Just a reminder; even though there is an excessive requirement for buildings this phase (all but Hephaestus’ Workshop, which you will more then likely need for Tri-Bri) you can still decide in what order to build.
It may be smart to go for the Kitchen first so you can progress up to the Hades offerings, but other than that just unlock whatever building is most useful to you and for which you have the materials.
LikeLike
Yeah, that sort of sucks, but maybe as the week progresses, the drops will get better. It also sucks that you need the same fleeces to take out Minotaurs and Hades, especially since the fleece is not an always drop. Again, maybe as the week goes on, things will change up.

well I haven’t made it to district 6 yet to unlock brian, so it looks like the ENTIRE event ends for me this week. super lame but ohh well, at least I got 1 character out of the event unfortunately it wasn’t hades which was the 1 character I actually thought seemed cool out of the whole thing. wish there was some way around it but the freakin treasure maps for pirate peter have been super stingy so I don’t think i’ll even be getting brain any time soon.

why does not having Brian end the event for you?

Part 8 of the main quest line requires an action using Brian. So if someone doesn’t have him yet, they can’t finish the quest line and move on to week 3.

Problem for Ross is Give it up to the Gods Part 8 requires Tri-Bri to “walk amongst themselves” so he is right that he probably won’t be able to move on past that point.
However, if you really want Hades you should still have the opportunity to earn him since he is part of the week 2 content. Focus everything on just getting him since you know you won’t be moving on anyway. Don’t know if 8,000 ambrosia is possible as a freemium player, but you should still have the opportunity to try for him.
This is why Tiny co doesn’t usually use later characters in the main event quest lines or for main drops. Players kept asking during events like Star Trek, but it makes it more fair to newer players. Sorry Ross! Just keep playing and see how far you can get. I made the decision to go completely freemium for this event and I am actually enjoying the game more. I know I won’t get everything, but having the mindset of I’ll just play and earn as much as I can has actually taken some of the stress out of it. Bunny always gives this advice when people are complaining or getting burnt out and it is really good advice. After the last few events where I spent clams and feeling so frustrated because I still missed out on things I really wanted, I made the decision to go freemium this time and have not regretted it at all!

I believe it is because part 8 of the questline requires Tri Bri to do a task. Which Ross here cant do because Brian isnt available to wear the skin the do the task. And u cant move on in this event if u dont conplete the main questline. Bummer 😦
Maybe contact tinyco on this. They usually try to make events playable to people still in lower districts. But now it is just week 2 and they already are causing people to get stuck. Not cool.

You do not need Brian in your game to play. It will be a skin for the character, and when you get to district 6 and do unlock Brian, you will be able to unlock the skin!
LikeLike
Usually you can still get the costume (skin) even if you haven’t unlocked the character yet. I was still working on Stewie when I won a skin for him. Once I unlocked Stewie, then I could see the costume at Al’s. So if you want three-headed Brian- work for it, you just won’t be able to use it until you get Brian.

Yes that’s definitely right – TC told me this in writing themselves – that the skin sits invisibly in limbo waiting for the actual character to arrive.

I’m sorry, that’s unfortunate. Maybe you can focus on getting Hades though, since you know you won’t be able to finish the quest line, you can just ignore it. And then you can go get the buildings in week 1 and 2 that you like the look of.

I can confirm Ross is right. I am in the same position as him and have reached Part 8. I can no longer move forward with the game because I do not have Brian and therefore cannot make Tri Bri. It’s going to take a while to make Brian too so I am just back to the main story quest after spending a lot of clams on this event.

So if you want to move to phase 3 one must build all but one of the items in the shop. So much for picking and chosing. With the lousy Minotaur fleece drops = mission impossible.

The advantage of the approach is that we can choose to work on some things before others. In phase 1, I just focused on getting the lightning drop buildings since I wanted Zeus first and was willing to let Peter dangle. Couldn’t do that if I was forced into buying everything in order. They still can force a purchase through the main questline, but I also can choose not to worry about getting to the next phase on time.
