Just as we were all getting happy on grog TinyCo has brought us back to reality with the second of this events weekly challenge.
As always these aren’t called a challenge for nothing, they can be extremely difficult to complete, especially for freemium players. Many see these as extra fun for premium players but that doesn’t mean a freemium player can’t do it, it just depends where you are in the game and sometimes a lucky guess at what items to stockpile whilst you wait for the challenge to drop. The prizes to date have always been decorations, with the odd building as a Grand Prize, so I wouldn’t advocate spending clams on these, but as always the choice is yours.
Anyway this weeks challenge, if you should choose to accept it, seems to work in tandem with what a lot of us will be doing right now, Schooner battles and bombing octopuses, if you manage to complete it you will be rewarded the Juggling Monkey decoration.
What do you need to do to complete it, well here’s the deal, you will need to complete the Party Hard tasks which consists of:
Quagmire Starts
Check out the prize
Bomb 78 Octopuses with Your Cannon
Attack Blackbeard’s Scurvy Squadron 5 Times
YOU HAVE 48 Hours IN WHICH TO COMPLETE ALL PARTS.
So there you have it the second of this events weekly challenges. If you need help on clearing octopuses or Scurvy Squadron attacks, you will find details in these posts.
Good luck and let us know in the comments if you completed the challenge.
Found out how to access them but they are not working 😂

This one was quite easy for me. I wasn’t even going to try. Didn’t want another tiny monkey. I was surprised when I got it. I was just trying to earn as many coins as possible. Also making the fish maze worked out so well, I get 11-12 octopi at a time now, and there is no rune or train to my stupid looking maze. I was actually going to get rid of it, but it was so late. The next morning those lil buggers played right into it. Thank you!

“Uncommon” items or “Rare” items?
I knew this week’s challenge would involve cannonballs. Luckily I saved some. Unfortunately, they are still hard to come by. I have all 3 characters, the Jolly Roger and Charming Cove working on them (so 5 in total). When I go to collect though, I am lucky if I can even get a 1 cannonball payout.
Also, the “Elixir of Youth” has slowed me down. I have collected everything for Peter Pan except for the Elixir. Two out of the three characters (I need Salty for the Sloshed Schooner) have been working continously on them. The Holistic Health Centre was also the first item (or one of the first) items I obtained from the weekly prizes, which I placed days ago. I still have a lot of elixir left to obtain.

It’s been an ongoing issue through many events that any drop issues seem to be when an issue is “uncommon”. I keep hoping TinyCo will look at this pattern and do something but we seem to be seeing it continue. I know Bunny is feeding back info on the drops etc, so the issue is being brought to their attention. But thanks for sharing your concerns as it confirms what we are seeing in our games as well.

Aw man!! I totally agree!! I still need 10 elixir to get Pan and only another day to get them…hope I don’t get too far behind next week’s stuff. Glad I’m not the only one who thinks uncommon = rare!!

As long as the tasks work with what is going on, I like these as it requires strategizing. I believe the only one I ever missed on is the dinosaur one as the thing I needed for week one or two wasn’t unlocked, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I was wrong either.
In this one I am giving up on Salty getting elixir, but it won’t have a huge impact (or so I think), and builds cinnamon and lemons.

That’s the way I see it as well, if I get them, it’s a bonus. And like you one few I’ve not managed was the dinosaur challenge, the 2nd week I failed on I think.

Hey Bunny,
I have a question. I’m stuck on see no evil part 9. In my game it’s telling me to upgrade the gunboat to level 10. In one of your post, you mentioned TinyCo changed it to level 5. Is there a glitch going on in the game? Let me know what I can do? Already contacted TinyCo, waiting for their answers as well.
Thanks Bunny

All I can suggest is usual troubleshooting. Make sure your App is up to date in app market. Try restarting device. If game saved, uninstall and reinstall then LOAD saved game file
Outside that contact them as mine updated before I got to it and showed 5. If you were already there BEFORE the change hit… you may need them to help.

Thanks Bunny.
I’ll try all that and if it doesn’t work I guess I will just have to level up to 10. I don’t want to wait for TinyCo to respond, they usually takes forever. 🙂

Hope they can get it sorted out for you. If you need note what the levels cost to upgrade you will find them here, but I’m hoping you won’t need them.

Bunny do you know how often octopuses spawn or is it octopie

Not sure I’d fancy a slice of Octopie, lol. They seem spawn every 3-4 hours in my game, but whether that increases due to the weekly challenge I’m not sure.

Big Dusclaimer that needs to be on this, this is OPTIONAL and is for a decoration. It has NO effect on the outcome of the event and will likely need Clams to either rush something or get items (cannonballs). As Bunny has drilled it into us – Do you absolutely want everything in the game at any cost? Will your life be more fulfilled 30 days from now? It is all your choice!! That said, last weeks seemed easy and this one looks like it should be do-able if the cannonballs drop and the octopi bunch up nicely. Good luck!!

Lol. Thanks for adding my usual soap box Disclaimer. It is so true though. Most the time I look at them and go “MEH”. 😉

Good reminder of where Bunny stands on the challenges, you seem to have especially taken notice of her wise words. Lol. Me I’m a bit of a rebel and I’m going for it, sorry oh wise Bunny. 😀

I’ve grown a bit meh on them as well. Decorations that don’t provide anything more than… decoration aren’t worth getting behind in events for. So far in this event though the tasks are actually in line with accomplishing the main quest, so far. I mean, if you still need items for Peter Pan and advancing to the next stage you’re already going to be bombing the octopus and attacking ships. The last event was bad because it forced us to burn hard-earned materials doing things we didn’t need to do anymore.

I have a go but I’d never ever spend clams or resources needed for something else. I try stock up then run it in tandem with what I’m doing in the game, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. You win some, you lose some is my motto with the challenges. But this events challenges have matched my game play perfectly up until now so it’s all good. Good Luck in your attempt.

I’m with you on that – meh to most if not all of the decos, especially when they are ‘freaking hard’. I did do the last on in the recent DC event as I has so much ‘stuff’ left at the end that I wanted to at least use it – but I can’t tell you what the item was as it went into inventory immediately.
At least these challenges do coincide with needs, i.e., I need to bomb the octopi to get ‘stuff’ for Peter Pan, etc., so I’ll probably achieve them simply as I need to to progress.
