The last phase of the event is upon us, and with it comes the answer to just what do we need to complete unlocking Daggermouth. Oh and there’s a few other things, so stay with us as we help you sail through the end of what’s been another crazy but fun event.

First up, the Basics
- Players will need to complete week 2 Main Questline.
- Players will need to have at LEAST District 3 Unlocked and Al’s completed
- You will need to be on App Market Version 1.28.5 in order to see the full content.
- Players will only see this on the Mobile App Version (iOS, Google, Amazon, Facebook). NOT Windows Stand Alone
- PLAY THE GAME! Items unlock in stages and as you progress, so if you do not see an item it is most likely you have not progressed far enough in the Main Questline to unlock it. Check details below for more specifics on unlock points
- Don’t have a TON of Tasks open in your Task Menu. If you have too many open, no new ones can arrive. (Keep it under 10). If you do not see new Tasks popping up, clear out some incomplete Tasks already on your List to make room for more

GIANT SQUID
Those having issues with missing Giant Squid/whirlpool and restarting device does not resolve it, please report it to TinyCo using subject line “GiantSquidWhirlpool”. All together. No spaces. They’ll be able to locate your game and manually resolve it.

There is currently an issue with Daggermouth and his unlock materials. His 6-Pack Ring and Spare Parts have been reset to 0(ZERO), and the third item is currently missing. TinyCo is aware of it, and are fixing it as we speak! UPDATE: RUSSIANTIGGER: IN MY GAME THIS IS NOW FIXED. BAIT THE NEW FISH TO GET THE RAINBOW TROUT DROPS.

LEADERBOARD
The trophy item at the bottom of the screen will link you to the leaderboards. These are prizes that can be won AFTER the event depending on YOUR ranking. Flags are collected by attacking Blackbeard’s Fearsome Flotilla, Scurvy Squadron and Dastardly Division. Amount of flags awarded will depend on your upgrade level and characters used in attack.

We are aware that although it says you need to rank in first 500 to win the top prize, you actually need to be in the Top 100 to have qualified. Obviously conflicting information, but I would imagine TinyCo will honour what the ranks say, Top 500 players get Blackbeard Stewie.

Hey bunny how are ya?! Glad to see you are back, you have been very valuable to getting thru gameplay, you are much appreciated. The task showed up for me after I messaged tc, his task was at James woods high which I’ve always had in my game but for some reason his task wasn’t registering. All is well and tc fixed the missing task for joe 🙂

Well, as usual I won’t make it to the last phase because I get stuck at some point in Phase 2. Such a deja-vu; I always do the same. Anyway, time to make priorities. I’ll try to get Seamus’ outfit and Daggermouth. I could go for Davy Jones, but I won’t make it so it’ll be probably just an excuse to hit the squid 😛
A question: Have you tried hitting a common and a rainbow fish together? I was doing well with the drops until I tried hitting the two types together. Was it a coincidence or they don’t drop together? I’ll go back to individual-species fishing, but I’m afraid I won’t make it with the rare drops.
Also, when playing via FB, the lag between the moment I click the fire button and the moment the cannon ball actually fires (the first time) is obscene: 18 seconds.

Week 4, and I’m nowhere close to finishing up week 3. Can’t get enough bourbon to use the fleet to get the parts I need, even though I’m checking in a lot. 2 days behind finishing week 3, and I think I’ll be lucky to start 4 before the event ends. Just a tad frustrating.

I have lost my squid and the response from tiny co implies that all is fine as the whirlpool is there and I’ve let the timer expire six times…are they suggesting the squid vanishes between timers? Its never disappeared before on expiring so that’s a confuddling response

Its twelve hours and counting now, previous to this update it would expire and then be back straight away. I’ve done a complete reinstall but still I am squidless.

Unlocked Daggermouth! Yesterday, even after I realized you had to target the new Rainbow Trout fish to get Rainbow Trout drops, I struggled to get 2 drops using the dozen or so worms I had saved up. This morning, I got 3/3 drops/attempts. Don’t know if I was just really lucky or if it was changed. Either way, he’s unlocked! No quest, though.
Now, if they could just adjust the giant squid drops too. I’m only at 24/66 to unlock Davy Jones, and it seems unlikely that I’ll unlock him in time.

I know this has been spelled out with every update and the clock in the game reflects the same, but my experience tells me that these things have been adjusted in the past: This event will end on Tuesday, September 27? I question it because the countdown clocks have been wrong before and it is odd to be ending on a Tuesday. Just want to put some paper to pad and figure out what is doable by then so I am not wasting my time trying for things that aren’t really achievable before the end of the event. A Tuesday finish for this event is much different from the Thursday finishes we have been conditioned to expect. Thanks!

Nothing has come up in my game, and others have said they’ve nothing either, so either it’s not triggered yet or TonyCo not made it live in the game.

He’s going to be an asset for tan lines tho. Even is you don’t keep characters there all the time, you can them in right before it’s time to collect. So I’m happy with him, even if he had no quest line. Heck, kinda glad.

This is great that phase 4 is out and I’m seeing some of the things mentioned for phase 4, but since I use a Kindle and the new event was released four days later than everyone else, I guess I’ll be finishing phase 3, which I just started last night, by the time the event ends.

So I wasted 40 Worms clearing the Plastic and almost all the Spare Parts to find out that was a huge waste of time and now ahve to start all over again collecting worms (with one less person since Meg has a new job)
Real ***** up by TC. I have messaged them asking for my worms to be added back but I’m not expecting any response.
This had been a great balances and very achievable event so far but this has really soured me on it.

The only good news I can give you is the drops are good, I got the 5 I need from 8 worms/bait. And Daggermouth doesn’t have any tasks that help during the event, so the delay in getting him won’t hold you back in this Phase. But sorry you were impacted like that, and best of luck for this phase.

Dagger mouth fixed. Yeah! Too bad I burned with 20 of my worm stockpile trying to clear the rings and gears again. Should have been patient.
Anyone having problems getting enough ship wheels? Or have them disappear aft the phase update? I swore I had more than 20 and can’t see how I’ll get enough.

Daggermouth worked fine, I had a lot of worms saved up, and just kept casting on the rainbow fish to earn rainbow trout. Daggermouth is sitting in my town doing crosswords.

I got blackbeard but a task calls to, “make Chris order fried calamari.” When I select it, the screen goes to Chris but does not highlight that task. How do I make Chris order fried calamari?

Well goodness, I had the same glitch! Luckily I has 30+ worms banked. I used them all and already only need 1 more plastic ring and 11 more gears, if they add some other item before I can unlock him I think I’ll be a little upset, having already used my worm bank. Not cool TinyCo. It’s not our fault! Please don’t make Daggermouth harder than he is already!!

Same here, I used 35 bait on rings and gears. And now that requirement is gone and it’s asking for rainbow trout, but I’m out of bait. So all my bait was wasted.

Seeing as I can never get enough bourbon drops to utilize my 3rd fleet, I have my doubts about this new 4th fleet.

Daggermouth bug confirmed here, 6-pack rings and gears are both showing up, both 0’ed out (even though I finished both of them), and no rainbow trout/third option is showing up. Also, I just today finally unlocked Fancy Seamus, I still need a ton of ship wheels to get Davy Jones, I think this is shaping up as another event I can’t finish because the game screwed me badly on Peter Pan item drops and it took an extra couple of days to finish him off, which delayed moving on, which is having a snowball effect at this juncture. Might just give up now and save myself the frustration.

I had a really strange, possibly lucky, glitch with Daggermouth, as soon as the new phase hit I went to check what the third item needed was and found the third item bubble was gone but I still had all Spare Parts and all 6 Plastic Rings, so I tapped to clear them and it unlocked Daggermouth for me, so will Tiny Co take him back from me and ask me to collect the final items I need, or am I just lucky and will get to keep him?

It’s fixed now, you need catch the new fish, it’s light lilac with different coloured fins etc. I have 3 out of the 5 needed in only 7 attempts so looks like good drops even though rare.

So far I have found that if you wait for two rainbow at once to catch- it always paid off… Takes awhile, but every time it worked- not so, from what I saw – from combos of tan or clown with rainbow fish.
