Case 2 of The Hauntening is now live in our games and some MORE characters are getting tasks to help get MORE STUFF for your games! So let’s try and keep track of them here 🙂
A few characters in Quahog have tasks to help you earn stuff for Exorcist Mort & Demon Hunter Joe…and of course you want to know which ones earn what, how often & how many. So…without further ado let’s cover the who, what, where, when and how of The Hauntening Case 2 tasks to earn you more stuff!

Ok guys I’m knew on here and I’m loving the game but one thing that is puzzling me is what is the point of Leveling up? I’m level 52 now and I haven’t received anything for leveling up since January when I started. I’ve put some hours into this game and I think it would be good to get an extra reward for leveling up otherwise what is the point?

The amount needed to Level Up increased as levels did, so the gap between increased. Plus But with no reward for levelling up most of us have forgot it’s even there. Also with so many characters in ?Tan
Lines earning Stewie bucks, not as much XP is getting dropped in our games.

Soooo. I just found out a bunch of old characters are dropping magnifying glasses. Any chance we could get a list of those too?

im a bit upset because i saved a bunch of keys for the gore gargoyle but it had expired, even thouh i did not go into the concierge for any reason… o well now i have lots of keys for next case…

You can certainly drop TinyCo an in game message and they can check the timer. But those keys will give you good start on next content, I passed on the Gargoyle for that reason.

Earned Exorcist Mort ‘relatively’ easily, and have everything for Joe’s skin except the Mutton Chops which drop when Meg is ‘un-demonized’…I’ve tried twice with no drops…in addition, it seems that Meg is not demonized as much as Chris was stricken with radiation poisoning – I kept Lois free at all times as he was stricken constantly during that event…hmmm….

Mutton Chops are the only thing I’ve had any problems with this week. I’ve only had Meg get possessed once in the last day or so and that one time didn’t pay out

Yeah, I am running into the same issue with Mort and Meg for muttonchops. She did not get repossessed after the first time for over 10 hours, then she dropped nothing! It seems to take a long time for her to get repossessed. I have done about 5 attempts with 2 drops.

Do you have Mort working on tasks while waiting for her? Or is he just freed up walking around? I have him on the one minute task….hoping the more often he’s busy/done/free the more Meg will trigger her possessed state…don’t know if it helps at all but she seems to be possessed about every 5 hours(more or less) in my game.
Although I still need 2 mutton chops myself; I hope my silly strategy helps😉(I don’t find getting bug spray or chains are helpful from Mort since Chris and Lois are doing those tasks round the clock)

For being a common item, I’ve sent Quagmire 15 times over the last few days and have only got 3 Elder Wheel drops. Doesn’t sound like common to me.

Message them from your game if your results are that low.

FWIW every time I message them about poor drop rates I get the standard parroted “everything is working as intended, keep trying it will drop eventually.” Gotten to the point I don’t bother anymore.

Yes they do send auto responses, however if they see a pattern of messages all regarding the same drop/item they will look into things further even though the standard message says all is ok. So it’s always worth send that message.

i used multiple quahog national banks to get the books needed for costume joe. 40 minutes to build and dropped 1 book on completion. done 4 buildings every 40 minutes and this gave all the books in just a few hours

This helps with the books for Joe, the books for Mort seem to only come from another building as a rare drop.

I had the Paranormal Imports building for 3 days with no drops of the “Dummies” books. At one point, I paid clams for 1 book, then the building finally dropped twice, and I paid clams for the last book, rather than wait. (I wanted to advance in the Face Your Demons quest line, but I didn’t want to let Meg get possessed until I had Exorcist Mort.) Now I will have to see how my Banks (I have 3) do at dropping the Necronomicon books. Fingers are crossed!

My paranormal imports drops were kinda sketchy but I finally got Mort last night, so hopefully they will come for you too.

Can anyone tell me how you can buy one of the “Latin for Dummies” book? I know you can speed up the building to make them, but I had zero luck with the building dropping the books. I’m still at 0/6 and I had the building for about four days now (eight days left in the event). I don’t want to spend all my clams on the costume, as I still need to get the trophy hands item.
I do know you can buy the one item a time to unlock a character, but I don’t know how it can be done with the costume. FYI, I have mailed TinyCo about this issue.

Anna for the books build banks takes 45 min and it gives you a book each time

Since I placed the voodoo imports (two days ago) and the paranormal imports (1 day ago). they have not dropped any items, so drops are not that good, but still have time, I guess.
Recently purchased the Swanson House skin and was a bit shocked that the next building needs 54 keys, that’s quite a lot.
Any word if the bug sprays are still usefull except sometimes getting two cosmic radiation? Will there also be a second part to this case?

I like the event so far.
I’ve currently got everything needed for Mort, except for the Latin books, of which none have dropped at all in several days! I would be interested to hear if others are finding the same thing.

really not enjoying this event. yet another time when there are hundreds of characters in the game yet the same few are only used, often for multiple items that rarely drop. falling behind knowing you can catch up (and miss future weeks) is one thing but for timed weeks to fall behind and finish nothing the entire time just takes all the fun away and makes it too stressful to even want to attempt trying.

Each Character Profile already has their individual tasks listed, including premiums. This is just all of those various tasks gathered into one spot. Lotty did a great job compiling the info. 🙂
