Look out as something wicked this way comes, but what, but what? It’s the Weekly Challenge! Yes week 4’s challenge is hurtling upon us….. Help!!!
As always these aren’t called a challenge for nothing, they can be extremely difficult to complete, especially for freemium players. Many see these as extra fun for premium players but that doesn’t mean a freemium player can’t do it, it just depends where you are in the game and sometimes a lucky guess at what items to stockpile whilst you wait for the challenge to drop. The prizes to date have always been decorations, with the odd building as a Grand Prize, so I wouldn’t advocate spending clams on these, but as always the choice is yours.
Anyway this week’s challenge, if you should choose to accept it, seems not too difficult after everything I said above, it should work in tandem with what a lot of us will be doing right now, clearing boogeymen, if you manage to complete it you will be awarded the Mishmatched Monster decoration.
What do you need to do to complete it, well here’s the deal, you will need to complete the Monster Mash task which consists of:

Where are you in the Coming To Getcha Questline. Challenges usually only drop if you’re at at least Part 3 or Part 4.

My boogey investigations are not as impossible as the aliens, but still seem pretty rare. I seem to get 1, 2 then 0 drops for my 3 8 hour lightbulbs. I get the big fat X at least 1 out of 3 times. Is that common for everyone else?? I saw Bunny’s drops were all at 2, without fail…man I wish I had her luck!

I can agree with that!! That decor is nasty! Ewww. Lol. But I still want to see if I can get the grand prize, just in case it’s a good one. Don’t know where the human crotch monster is suppose to be from?! Human centipede maybe? Gross!

Will the weekly challenge only start if I am already in part 2? I mean I haven’t finished Face Your Demons Pt.7 as I would rather keep my keys for the next case. Does this mean I will also miss this weekly quest? Can i trigger it later if I decide to buy them today? Thanks.

You need to complete Facing Your Demons to Part 8 to get this week’s full content. And the Weekly Challenge usually don’t drop until you’ve progressed a little in the main Questline for that weeks phase. So you may have to decide between stockpiling keys and the weekly challenge I’m afraid.

This one was pretty easy, as I started just stocking up on the boogeymen and the little black monsters, so it only took a couple rounds and it was done!
Now, back to Joe and the darn muttonchops! *chuckle*

Just need some info. Has anyone lost their game again? My game was restored for less than 24hrs & just in the last 2 hours was reset back to level one. Contacted TinyCo just now, am waiting for a response.

This challenge seems impossible as lights are an 8 hour drop, from only 2 non pay-to-win sources, often fail to find after investigations, and rarely if ever spawn more than 2 Boogeyman.
Sad because I got the first 2 challenges done without issue.

I have had consistent releases of boogeyman, hardly any failures. I stockpiled some night lights anticipating they would needed. Good Luck.

Was 8 minutes away from completing my hour long search in “three” rooms when this latest challenge came up!
I generally only check one room at a time, but I had a lag since I finally got Franken-Bonnie, thought I’d do something different.
