We are just about to launch into the Brand New Content for the Event. This will be the ending of Case 2 and the Beginning of Case 3.
Now just to give you all the heads up, ONLY those that are done with Case 2 will get the chance to move into Case 3 a little early tonight. Everyone else will still have until tomorrow (10/28 @3pm Pacific) to finish up Case 2. Once the Timer runs down on Case 2, you will be automatically moved to Case 3 regardless of where you are in progression.

First up, the Basics
- Players will need to be on the App Market Version 1.29.6 or higher in order to see the event.
- Players will need to have at LEAST District 3 Unlocked and Al’s complete.
- Players will only see this on the Mobile App Version (iOS, Google, Amazon, Facebook). NOT Windows Stand Alone
- PLAY THE GAME! Items unlock in stages and as you progress, so if you do not see an item it is most likely you have not progressed far enough in the Main Questline to unlock it. Check details below for more specifics on unlock points
- Don’t have a TON of Tasks open in your Task Menu. If you have too many open, no new ones can arrive. (Keep it under 10). If you do not see new Tasks popping up, clear out some incomplete Tasks already on your List to make room for more

Hi, I was wondering if I was the only one with this problem. I had gotten the big top burger and in inventory it shows that it drops the deeds but when I place the building it does not show it drops anything but coins. I placed it back in inventory twice to see if it will fix it but it is the same.

Have you got Egon unlocked in the car park, the death certificates won’t show as a drop until he’s in the game. For some reason the spectacles do, but death certificates won’t,

Got all the case 3 stuff pretty much as soon as it went live thanks to building up my supply of keys. Possessed Meg is a real disappointment. She is a skin and she does NOTHING to progress this event. I thought she would at least earn some kind of event currency…

I went for the 10 few times, then to 8. I really go for whichever is best value at the time I’m exchanging. But I often go for the lower key amount as I can maybe do 2 exchanges of that for not much more than what the higher exchange costs for one exchange. Hope that makes sense.

Hello, Addicts. Case #3 has not started for me. I’m playing on my PC via Facebook. I’ve cleared cache and reloaded many times. I’ve updated and restarted my computer. I’ve checked the Rocky Point Hotel to see if it’s a certain character’s icon that prompts the advancement. Lastly, I’ve contacted TinyCo through my game, except it’s the weekend so I don’t expect an answer anytime soon. Am I missing something?

I’d put Peter on tasks, periodically, and had him roaming free other times. Right now, he’s roaming free. My task bar consists of “Buy coins to get clams”, “The Quest for Mobile Stuff Pt.1”, “Take Me To Your Leader Pt.4”, and “Return to Rocky Point Pt.12”. I decided to skip Case #2 because there was nothing I wanted and to collect keys for Case #3. I was under the impression that I would move on when the clock ran down no matter where I was in the quest line.

I’m presuming issue is you’ve not completed the Case 2 parts of Return to Rocky Point as its the continuation of that Questline that triggers new content in Cades.

Yeah, that did it. I feel a little stupid, I was so focused for so long with not triggering Possessed Meg that I never thought that could be the problem. If any positive came out of this it’s that I now know how to control content release if TinyCo decides to use this style of game play again. Thanks for your help, Russian Tigger and Bunny. I’m finding it difficult to find enough vampire. Spacemen are more scarce than they originally were. I get loads of Demons and Ghosts. Spectres are a bit of a pain to find too. I’m not bothered about Egon I just want Possesesd Meg. I need about 60 more keys then I’ve got her. Just need the Frankenstein to wake up.

We only give info in what we see released in our games, anything else on other sites we can’t really comment on.

Just an FYI, as I have run into this since the Addicts started on TSTO and then FG games… just because it is in the game files does not mean it is going to be released. Other sites may find “hacks” to see the game files, but I can guarantee that everything in there has not been released, was changed, copyright wouldn’t allow continuation, item didn’t work for Event… on n on n on n on. I go through and verify EVERYTHING live as each phase and/or Event is released. I can tell you Vampire Lois has been “speculated” for years (since game launched I believe) and Roger already has a Costume from previous Events. 😉
Short story long, unless TinyCo verifies an item is coming for release OR we see it live in the game… we do not post about it because we don’t want Players to get excited about something that won’t ever come to be. 😉

This might be a silly question, but if you bought the new buildings from concierge – spectacles, death certificate etc. and place them, do the items start stocking up or do they not count until Egon is unlocked?

They usually don’t show the drop until character needed for is unlocked, but like you I’m seeing them straight away, although none have dropped an item yet.

For a variety of reasons the second phase of Case 2 never launched for me. I see now that the new character requires Boss Frankenstein. When Case 3 launches for me later today, will I have access to him to get the PKE Meters I will need or is that part of the game over since I didn’t reach that point during Case 2? Thanks.

I honestly can’t say, won’t know until Case 3 hits your game I’m afraid. The second phase of Case 2 required you to have completed the Face Your Demons Questline, maybe you didn’t complete it, hence the content didn’t launch.

Thanks for the offer Bunny but when I saw the first response and didn’t get Frankenstein I took the weekend off from the game realizing I couldn’t advance. I am doing this more and more. Fatigue and boredom. After looking at what was presented for the final two cases, I am not disappointed in my decision. Still, frustrating that the game causes you not to play and it is not your independent decision.

So i’m kicking @$$ at this event…i earned enough skeleton keys (356) to buy all the buildings. Now i’m just collecting them to get Possessed Meg. I need to complete the 17th part to start the new questline but the week will be earning for Spengler!!! So excited to have a full week to get these two items….very possible!!!

I had a load of keys left over, so I have been able to purchase a lot of the new buildings.
I have got everything up to and including Big Top Burgers, but I do not see the Death Certificate image when clicking on the building. No problem with Blood Bank and Spectacles.
I am reporting this straight away, don’t understand why one item, for collection, is there and the other not.

Have you actually start to unlock Egon Spengler? Usually drops don’t show until you have the person available in the game. For some reason couple buildings are showing his drops premature to actually being in the game. I’m seeing this also, I’m presuming others will show once I get through the Questline and he appears.

I tried the above tips and my buggy aliens are still missing. They were there right before I started the new content and then disappeared. Since the alien investigations rarely find an alien, I have been using the buggy aliens to getvcoamic radiation. But since they are not showing up amymore it makes it very hard to turn in items for keys. (I also messaged tiny co, but am doubting I eill get a reply. Still waiting on a reply from 3 weeks ago

After starting this phase I notice there’s still a locked room (The Den, “episode 5.”). But, the event only seems to have one week remaining.
So my question is, is there a chance there’s a planned extension, or might that room unlock during this week’s quests? Mainly I want to figure out if I should get posessed Meg or save those keys (once I have ’em… Almost there!)

BTW, just found out that Quagmire can get ‘Bird Seeds’ also.
Good thing, because they are RARE and quite hard to get!
Three ‘Bird Seeds’ are required to continue on in the “Return to Rocky Point” quest line.

Seemed early on it to be 1:3, now it’s looking more like 1:2 (or better). Which is great since I currently have four rooms to ‘hatch’ vampires. I assume the Den will give us a fifth.

Very good drops for rare item. I’m releasing a few at a time and building up a few incase needed for Weekly Challenges. You need get to Part 3 of Amost Out of the Woods to unlock The Den.

The buggy aliens disappeared, I think a few demons and perhaps a boogie man may have gone with them. Not positive about the demons and boogie man, but I think there were some wandering around before the new content hit. Ghosts and poltergeists remain.

Same thing happened to me. Buggy aliens only disappeared. I’m worried that if I follow those steps I’ll go back to case 2! Only at part 5 of the quest that I need to be on part 6/7 on for case 3 but have all the characters so the head start is helpful since this ends soon. Thanks for all your work guys!

Asked tinyco through game. Response was that the aliens have left and so have the bugs and they won’t be in case 3 at all. Not sure then why we can still collect bug spray and those devices James woods collects to get aliens.

Hi we updated posts to say TinyCo verified Buggy Aliens would not be part of Case 3. However spacemen are, I’ve just released 2 spacemen, and you need clear 3 for part this week’s Questline.

My bugs completely gone since this new case started. They were a problem for me though, I’d try to clear them and there was a chance it shut down my game every time. Was hard to get a complete clear without crashing 3-4 times.

Moved on to Case #3 this morning, and only noticed when I went to use some spray that there were no Buggy Aliens roaming. I normally see around six at any one time. Basic troubleshooting doesn’t bring ’em back.

Glad I decided to burn some excess Skeleton Keys to win Little Green Man after the fact, because he’s now earning some of the Cosmic Radiation I would otherwise have claimed from the Buggy Aliens. Should earn enough extra Skeleton Keys at this rate to win Possessed Meg at some point tomorrow.

I also have zero Buggy Aliens now, but Poltergeists remain… (I don’t know why you would have left Demons or Boogeymen wandering around, though, as you only need to tap them to clear them, while the Poltergeists take 3 hours. :-)) I’m not missing the Buggy Aliens, as they cluttered up my Hotel, but now Bug Spray is useless… Fortunately the people that dropped it now drop other items, more useful in this stage.

Billy the Puppet is available through a Death in the Family Premium Mystery Box. It’s for 175 with some other stuff. Sadly to say, I don’t have any money. Rip. Billy is literally one of my favorite horror movie characters ever hnggg. Oh well-

The Mystery Boxes can be a joke anyway. I gave up on them a while back. I really wanted something in one of them so I tried about 10 times. I wasted well over $30 and still never got it. All I got was a bunch of useless junk that was no use to me by that point (as I was already ahead in that week, so I did not need any of that stuff).
They can be a big waste of money and there is no guarantee that you will even get what you want. Especially since this one is 175 clams a go. It may be a huge temptation but so too can a slot machine.

Exactly. I feel, and I’ve expressed this multiple times; premium characters and skins should remain out of the boxes and let buildings or animated whatever that give off good decent amounta of items, remain there instead. That seems much fair tbh.

Yikes, I see the Garden is the only place (in my game) that seeds can be redeemed for a chance at vampires, so, off to bed to see if a much needed vampire is in my future…thanks for all the info and support, Bunny, Tigger and Lotty!

This is the last week of the event… Why would you worry about wasting your keys, when Possessed Meg is the last item you can buy. Go for it! 🙂

I don’t think possessed meg is the last item. As with the other cases there have been 2 episodes to each one. I have bought all the buildings in case 3 and I now have a timer that says Episode ends in 16 hours.

Episode 5 is The Den, and you simply unlock that as part of the Almost Out of the Woods Questline. The other cases had 2 parts as they had 2 weeks & over to complete. Case 3 ends on Wednesday 11/2.

We are not sure. There is nothing Publicly released on it. From what we can only assume, someone legally in control of the rights changed their minds, but who knows for sure. You can’t do anything when copyright is pulled. You are helpless and at the mercy of those holding those rights… no matter the reason they won’t allow the use of their Characters anymore. You can only follow and legally oblige their wishes. 😦

So my Case 3 just started 5 minutes ago and I’ve already unlocked all of the buildings thanks to my key stockpile. I might actually try to get the Freakin’ Hard prize this time. I’m 100% freemium and this is the first event I’ve ever been ahead (normally I get further and further behind as the weeks progress)

Same here, I’m freemium too. Now I have all these buildings, thanks to Frankenstein, and lost of ’22 keys pack’. With the new exchange rates you can get only 3-6-8 keys for a lot of stuff. Well, a new character would be better instead of Meg’s costume. Thats too expensive anyway.

Really happy with this event – I don’t feel like I’m rushed, I had exactly 500 keys, so once I consulted the Bunny/Tigger/Lotty scorecard above, I realized I could go right through the concierge and purchase everything including Possessed Meg…I’ve actually been earning clams through the Area 51 and have unlocked all the earn-able characters/skins available so far, so I don’t feel like I have to buy my way out of jams and time constraints…Now, I’m just going to focus on Egon and if I can earn him, it would be probably the most successful event I’ve participated in so far…again, I’m a newbie (Feb ’16), so not a lot of data points…but, I can see getting close to the end and wanting to use clams for a character or two without feeling like I ‘had’ to purchase them, yes, I know, no one is forcing me, but it’d be great to be in a position of wanting to spend rather than ‘needing’ to spend…and I’ve been on the winning side of the drop algorithms in this event (so far!), so gotta say I’m pretty pleased…

I managed to finish up case 2 a few days ago (without using any clams) and saved up about 330 skeleton keys to start Case 3. I’ve bought every building except the last one (so I don’t trigger the countdown) as I really want Possessed Meg! Having all the buildings in place should make unlocking Egon a lot easier too.

This is clearly the end of the Hauntening event, so it begs the question…why did the teaser feature Mulder and Scully but we never got them?! Sorry…maybe that should have been a WTD post. 🙂

Luckily I built up a good supply of keys. Just need 130 more to get Possessed Meg. I got everything but Meg and the item before her already.

FYI – My case 3 started automatically even without finishing the case 2 questline.. Thank goodness I had enough keys stored up to get just about everything, or I’d be struggling to get more keys with blood packs.
Also, in the previous weeks/cases in The Hauntening, when a new item was required for keys, I all previous combinations. This time, they all stayed but as soon as you use one, it’s replaced with the requirement for blood packs.

That is exactly what has been happening each Phase. As one that you didn’t clear is used up, a new breakdown and payout takes its place. 😉

Same with me. I didn’t have Joe salt his driveway so that I would not finish part 6 and all the new content came in anyway including the new concierge exchanges and the learn about vampires part. Really wanted that extra day.

Wasn’t missing anything so I played into it. Although now I see I am missing the bugs. I restarted now but they are still missing. Think there is a way I can get those back? – nice little source of radiation, esp since spacemen are few and far between lately. Enjoying event anyway and thanks much for your tips and help 😀

Ok……. I have not finished case 2 yet, but I already have the new Halloween catalog…….. but it says I only have 20 hours to get everything……,… is that a fluke??? I tried asking this on another post but my comments never showed up…..

Like the other post says, it depends on where YOU are in the game on what you will see. Case 2 ends tomorrow BUT if you finish the Questline it will end Case 2 and start Case 3 as soon as you complete those parts of the Questline outlined on the post you commented on already a few times. 😉
