Did they mess up with the week 5 challenge, still had 20 hours to run on it but of course the event timer had expired before that had finished so didn’t have a chance of finishing it.

The challenge was dropped into event Monday but it depends when you triggered if. You either have 48 hours or until the event ends.

well with the event ending I had like 2 hours chance for the building to produce last Death Certificate. took a chance and paid 6 clams and rushed it. got lucky. also I had 3 buildings unbought in front of the alien character and with all the key build up easily got him and the buildings. if they do this like this again might be a good idea to leave the item before the big item in that weeks panel unbought if they let you. then you can go back later.
also no luck on last bonus items. got like 40 of the 85 demons.
still not a bad challenge and most things were my fault on not getting.

Wow, I did really well for once. Just got Egon’s last pair of glasses with 3 hours left and had enough keys for the Alien and Meg’s costume. Looks like I will only miss the last quest.
I also would have bought a couple more lava cracks if I’d known they would vanish. My one does look very cool erupting beside my church.

My timer above Egon has four more hours on it than the 3 pm PT deadline tomorrow (would run out at 10 pm ET/7 pm PT) and it has been that way since the final case launched. My friend has been pretty much at the same pace as me and has the same thing. I am guessing we should believe the event timer, but is there a quirk that is allowing four extra hours for Egon since he was available for only five days (Friday to Wednesday for me since I didn’t finish Case 2)? It is going to be close; building drops have not been overly kind for me so far.

I don’t quite understand that they don’t actually use Cleveland as he is unlocked early. Overall a good event not a big fan of the timed cases got a lot of costumes (it is halloween duh) also have woods and spengler (could have gotten carl but my timer ended to early 😦 ) anyway looking forward to the next event 🙂

Cleveland was released in an event, Not a district, so new players won’t have him.

I don’t think so I’m a relatively new player and I just used coins to buy his house and of course him. It was around the same time as Lois became available (did this during the superhero event). Maybe he used to be an event character, but is now just a regular character?

He’s been made available during a few events, sometimes to be earned, at one point as a premium buy, and now for coins. But his use in events has been scarce as for a long time many players didn’t have him.

I’ve got more than 700 spare keys left over after buying everything — but nothing to do with them. Tons of magnifying glasses, too. TinyCo should have a Mystery Box or let us buy useless characters for keys!

I agree!! I have hundreds of keys and nothing to use them for?? It would be nice to have a mystery box so they’re not all completely pointless!! They added a lot of decors for the mag glasses but nothing for the keys?! What’s up with that?

723 keys and countless magnifying glasses — and counting — but nothing to do with them. No more useless decos and costumes! We need more new characters to fill Tan Lines. And I’ve got more than 40 million useless coins. We need some one-million-coin mystery boxes or something. Or some new characters we can buy for 1 million coins.

I tend to just shrug off any excess event materials I’m left with as it means I managed to unlock everything I wanted. Others are struggling to get enough of the materials to finish up, so that remains me I’d rather have too much than too little.

Stewie is my favourite character but I can understand he’s not utilised much in events as he’s not unlocked early on in the game, so newer players wouldn’t have him. Brian used to be used a lot more, but he seems to be in the dog house just now.

The problem is that new players would get stuck. I remember that many people got stuck in the Greek event because they hadn’t unlocked Brian by that time, and Phase 3 (I think) required Brian’s 3-heads skin to move forward. It’s kind of unfair. It wouldn’t hurt if they were extra drops, though. 🙂
