While we are waiting for the election mini-event to finish and new stuff to hit our games, I wanted to ask you to help out with an issue some of you are raising in the comments. Yes, it’s one of those Wicked Glitches!

CLAM TV
We’re starting to see a few of you asking for help as when you’re watching a video for Clam TV, you’re not being given the option to X out of the video at the end, forcing you to close your game and lose the awarded clam.
Bit of advice from Bunny who has had issue in the past on her Android, firstly try restarting your device to see if this sorts the issue, also make sure your screen isn’t zoomed in cutting off the X. If you’re not zoomed in and restarting doesn’t help tell us in the comments, if we see a pattern in the comments we will have Bunny raise the issue with TinyCo.
If it is glitch then hopefully with your help and Bunny’s contacts at TinyCo we can get this fixed quickly, as we know how valuable those free clams are to players. In order to feed information to TinyCo I need your help to get an idea of who’s being affected so please provide following…
- What platform are you playing on, ie Android, IOS?
- What device are you playing on?
- When did the issue start?
- Are you updated to the latest version, which is 1.30.3?
You can post the info below or email it to us. Also if you can, email us your Player ID (DO NOT POST IT HERE) if possible so we can have them target specific games to see the cause. familyguyaddicts@gmail.com

Family Guy Addicts 
Now offers can be done for MORE free clams. I found one that would have gotten me Cleveland. Offer says complete and clams rewarded. But they’ve haven’t posted. It’s been a week or so since completed offer. Anyone else having this issue?

I was having this issue so when I accidentally clicked on the tv last week I clicked “no thanks” – now I haven’t had the tv since. Is there a way to get it back, or a time to wait?

It should return, it sometimes vanishes for a week or two.

I play on my IPhone 6 and I have not been able to get clams from the videos for about 3-4weeks I have restarted my device several times, checked that I’m not “zoomed in”, I am on the most up to date version of the app and iOS and still I have no option to close down the videos other than close the app which results in no clams, sometimes instead of a video I just get a black screen and again I have to close the app. Has this been raised as an issue or is it just me?

Well from Saturday 6 November I haven’t been able to play / close vids to get clams, but all that frustration has ended today (Tuesday 15) with me being able to claim 2 clams from watching 2 vids back to back. 😉
Still lost out on @70 clams over the last 10 days though. 😦

I’ve noticed lot of those with issues are on IOS 10, I’m frightened update to it, but hearing players say things are looking better is tempting me to do the update but maybe not until Oz event ends.

Nope, I wouldn’t – it has gone back to the black screen crash after working just once (playing 2 vids paying out 2 clams). Nothing to do but wait for the interminable update then. 😕

In my game, i no longer seem to get offered more than ine video at a time to watch, while i used to get 3, 4, or 7 at a time. However it seems I am getting the offer more often, so i still get a good number in total. On the plus side, maybe that helps eliminate crahing, as my game rarely crashes during videos. Perhaps this change is intentional.

This situation has just now been getting worse. I dont know if its because tiny has been working on it. dont believe in coincidences. Before you could work around it easier. anyway many times now the add will play down to ‘1’ and then freeze. if you leave it it will say family guy not responding and if you answer stop family guy it reloads and then same problem if you do another ad. if you wait, it just stays frozen.
only solution has been when it freezes is to press the square button on my android to pull up the apps that are in memory. then you swipe the family guy window to remove it. then when you start up family guy again the ads work.

I’m having issues also and I’m on IOS, hopefully they get it fixed soon as we all value our clam TV. As soon as we hear anything we’ll let you know.

Since no one else seems to be experiencing this particular issue I though I should post here since the advice is so good!
Probably from about the start of the presidential mini event whenever I access Clam TV my screen just goes black but does not crash. I have to click on the home screen to get back into the game and the icon is still there and my clam count has not increased. I’ve tried updating and making sure that I’m not zoomed in but nothing is working though I did get one add for the game Scatter Slots that did give me a clam yesterday. From then on the black screen has come back with a vengeance.

Unfortunately it looks like my game has also fallen victim to the constant crash glitch…
Still able to play on Facebook, my phone not so much. I’m messaging TinyCo when I can.

I’ve had this issue for about a week now I think. I’m on iOS, using iPhone 6. Definitely not zoomed in, definitely just not showing the X. Very frustrating! I am on the most recent of everything. I have tried restarting but no help. Hope it gets sorted soon!

my glitch is when ads become vertical vs horizontal – when i get one of these it crashes immediately. any idea why?

Odd one I have not seen. Is your device set up to HOLD the screen position? I know on my androids I can lock the position so it won’t auto adjust and flip.
Outside that, all I can suggest is to contact TinyCo and let them know.

On Droid I just hit the back button and that exits the video and awards clams. Not sure if I’ve had this video or not.
Of course that didn’t help iOS players.

I play on Android and I have noticed that this problem is related only to one video. Right now I don’t remember exactly what videos caused that, but I remember it was always the same. I’ll try to pay attention which one that was, but I had that problem only once or twice so it may take some time until that one video pops u again.

I was finally able to play the game again doing the last 2 days of the last event. TinyCo had to erase the cache from their end, but now a new problem has shown up. After the update I can’t load the game at all with just a message saying to try loading game again. I looked at the directory the files are stored in and there’s some scrambled symbol file names with one file listed as 2 gigs in size (total directory file size listed as 34 gigs). I’m trying to delete all 6000+ files to clean out the data manually to see if that solves the problem.

just updated 1.31.0 and when i tap to collect coins& XP and put a character on a task(Obama/Billionaire Peter for examples) a pop-up thing pops up saying “You’ve Got Kool-Aid Man! He’s In The Shop. Place Him Now!” when obviously of course i have him since his release so long ago lol anybody else ???

when i updated the app today to what i assume will eventually launch the new event I’m getting a pop up every time i click on a building or character that says something about kool aid man. it stays on the screen and i have to force close the game. i’ve logged in/out about 5 times and same result, not letting me do anything in the game including in game message TinyCo the glitch, maybe you can assist?

This just happened for the first time today on my device. It was after I updated to the newest version.

My game has crashed ever since the videos started. It either crashes just after the video ends or when trying to load the window saying you earned a Clam.
I learned my lesson long ago to not view multiple videos to stockpile Clams. What I like to do is view video and exit out to make sure I get a Clam. If there’s more videos I repeat the process until its stopped.

I’ve had this problem for as long as they have been offering the clams for adds. Maybe 4-6 times a week, really frustrating. Every time it happens I have to reload the game which takes about 3 minutes on my phone. I complained several times to no avail. Using Android on a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime with the latest update. I think the problem is that they don’t put a kill button on some of the videos.

I used to have this problem a lot and had to force stop the app to get out. Reducing my RAM and regularly clearing cache/force stopping apps before opening FG appeared to help. I’ve not had the problem in quite a while now *touch wood* I have a Samsung Galaxy A3.

Area 51 started paying out clams again! Now that’s a wicked glitch! Tinyco fixed it now sadly, they are wicked.

My game would continually crash when watching , usually I would get 7 in a row and on the 3 rd or 4 th one it would crash. Then upon re booting I would get at least 1 clam, maybe 2. Now it only offers me one vid at a time . So far so good. I pad mini, ios9

This may or may not be helpful but I had the TV crash my game a few times earlier this week. I’ve updated the app to the most recent version and now after the ad has finished, on the final screen it gives me a very tiny ‘X’.
Also, it will only let me watch 1 ad before the TV disappears (prior to this update i was getting 3 maybe 4 or in a row) but if i completely close the app and then re-open another TV appears.
FGQFS App version is 1.30.3

I’ve had this happen previously, it would cause my android tablet to freeze and I would need to close the game, however I would usually get a congrats and the clams when I reopened. I got annoyed with it and now I click awesome to claim after each video and its not an everyday occurrence anymore.

Restarting did not help, my screen is not zoomed in either. The issue started [about] just over 24 hours ago (as far as I know / remember). I am playing on ios with the latest update (the latest ios update [10.1.1] / the latest game update as well [1.30.3]). I have an ipad mini 3.

I had the issue last Sunday but it went away.

I get this every now and then, usually if I just hit the back button my device it takes me back into my game and I can continue and get whatever clams I would have received up to when the glitch hit for that particular video.
I haven’t had to close the app completey

I have this problem. I have done everything you suggested but it still doesn’t work. Now lately when I click on ClamTV it just crashes my game. I believe it started after upgrading to the last version (1.30.2?), not the most recent upgrade (but I am now on 1.30.3). I am on an iPhone 5s
