Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee’re Off to see the Wizard… Again… WITH LUDICROUS SPEED… GO!!!
Phase 3 is now live in our silly lil games. YAY!!
THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE QUAHOG ENDS NOVEMBER 29th @3PM PACIFIC
First up, the Basics
- Players will need to complete Phase 2 Main Questline to Someplace Over a Rainbow Pt. 7 in order to see new content.
- Players will need to be on the App Market Version 1.31.0 or higher in order to see the event.
- Players will need to have at LEAST District 3 Unlocked and Al’s complete.
- Players will only see this on the Mobile App Version (iOS, Google, Amazon, Facebook). NOT Windows Stand Alone
- PLAY THE GAME! Items unlock in stages and as you progress, so if you do not see an item it is most likely you have not progressed far enough in the Main Questline to unlock it. Check details below for more specifics on unlock points
- Don’t have a TON of Tasks open in your Task Menu. If you have too many open, no new ones can arrive. (Keep it under 10). If you do not see new Tasks popping up, clear out some incomplete Tasks already on your List to make room for more
Back with more in a bit…

THE MUNCHKIN ACADEMY/ COWBOY MUNCHKINS
Here is where you will create “Weapons” to use against the “Bad Guys” in the game. There will be various times and Materials required for each one.
Just like in the past there will be a CAPACITY and a QUEUE you will need to pay attention to.
Capacity: The TOTAL amount of items you can have already created and in Queue combined. I started out at 8 Capacity. Once you hit MAX Capacity, you will have to use the “Weapons” to clear out room before you can create anymore
Queue: The TOTAL amount of items you can have creating at one time. My game now only shows FOUR Queue spots. Once your Queue is full, you will not be able to create anymore items until the ones already there are timed out and complete. You can continue to create items in the Queue until you have reached the MAX Capacity. Once an item is completed in the Queue, the next item will automatically start and continue til all are complete.
For Phase 3, you will now be able to start to create Cowboy Munchkins.
Cowboy Munchkin: Require 1 Lasso
“Train” Time: 1hr
Lassos (Always): Peter Play Cowboy OR Mort Untangle Old Ropes OR Jerome Do Lasso Tricks OR The Buckin’ Munchkin Rodeo
TORNADOES
These show up right at the start of the New Questline. You will use the Cowboy Munchkins from the Munchkin Academy to take out the Tornadoes. Just as in last 2 Phases, make sure the Tornadoes are PURPLE before you tap on the Check Mark to send Cowboy Munchkins after them. If it is not in the “Kill Zone Circle” AND PURPLE when you tap that check mark… you will just waste Materials.
Tornadoes: Require 1 Cowboy Munchkin from Munchkin Academy
Chance Drops:
+1 Furball
NOTE TO THOSE WITH CHARACTERS OUT OF TAN LINES: Here is what I was talking about that those Characters will be “in use”. The Tornadoes capture Characters inside of them and trap them. You have to clear the Tornadoes to release them or wait till them move one.
Some of the Characters I saw trapped by Tornadoes:
Bonnie
Brian
Carter
Bruce
Seamus
Herbert
So some of those “not in use” Characters that are not involved in the Event will help to keep the ones that you DO use free… well… most of them anyway. 🙂
FALLEN FARMHOUSE
Here is where you will Exchange Materials for Buildings & Decorations you will need for the Event. I do not see an order required to them. You will find it over in the Event Area.
Keep in mind many Materials will not show up until you reach the Character/Item needed them in the progression of the game.

Furball: Clear Tornadoes OR Gold Cowardly Lion OR Wizard of Oz Stewie Buy a Dog
EMERALDS
This will be the main currency of the Event. You will see a counter for it at the top center of your game screen. You will use them all over. Keep in mind that once used, they are gone. For instance if you tap the CHECK MARK on one of the Characters needing them, whether you are ready or not to unlock them, you will take ALL the Emeralds they require and can’t get them back.
So make sure you are ready to use them on a Character unlock BEFORE tapping that Check Mark. It will usually give you a Pop Up asking you to “PAY UP” before taking them.
NOTE: Some of these tasks I did not see appear until I reached a certain point unlock in the Questline, like Placing the Cornfield and triggering Scarecrow Peter’s Items.
Emeralds: Peter Buy a Compass OR Peter Visit Petting Zoo OR Peter Step on Ants OR Lois Sleep Deep OR Bonnie Play Mind Games OR Bonnie Braid Her Hair OR Bonnie Skip Night School OR Chris Dream of Monkeys OR Chris Ride Grocery Carts OR Chris Flaunt Participation Award OR Herbert Eat Soft Foods OR Joe Shop For Produce OR Quagmire Go Bananas OR Jerome Make Like a Banana OR ALL Toto Brian Tasks OR Bruce Paint Bricks Yellow OR Bruce Look For Yellow Brick Roads OR Mort Wear Brainy Glasses OR Various Buildings OR Questlines OR Winged Monkeys
Essentially the options are ALL over the game to earn the Emeralds you will need. Including from some of the Buildings you get from the Fallen Farmhouse.
There you have it, the Second Phase of There’s No Place Like Quahog Event.
What do you think so far? Any favorite items you see you really want? What do you hope will come along next? Let us know.

Well, I’ve just entered phase 3 with 35 hours to go. This has to be the worst event yet for me. The drop rate for common and uncommon items have been more like rare or extra rare. While it’s usual to be 2 to 3 days behind when the new phase comes out, being 5 days behind is just ridiculous. I thought that things were improving after the way they did the halloween event, basically resetting each week whether you’ve completed all tasks or not, but to go back to requiring the previous phase to be completed before progressing has been a massive backward step.

It’s tough issue to solve as a lot players said they didn’t like the way the Cases were done in in The Hauntening

Any advice on the best order to purchase the buildings?? Thanks!!

After placing Cowardly Lion Joe to unlock, I purchased the Witch’s Castle (only item that drops hair dryers), then Liquid Courage Liqueurs, (I know Bonnie has a drop but she can be captured by tornadoes and it’s the Uncommon drop), I then purchased the Fortune Tellers Wagon as its needed for the Wicked Witch Wish List. I’ve not had to purchase Oz Tower as Lois and Chris have dropped 3 out of the 4 extra rare medals. But if I’ve extra resources I will buy it as I like it, but it’s not been necessary for getting Cowardly Lion Joe. Hopefully other players will share their strategies.

Perfect! I was thinking the same thing! Just bought the castle! Hopefully I get the liquor store fast because Bonnie hasn’t dropped one yet! I got two out of four medals, so I’m no long I won’t “need” the tower, just want it. Thanks again!!

I opted to get liquid courage liquors first because I figured that it was 12X a 6 hour uncommon drop that only Bonnie could do (about 3 days on her own and that’s if it drops every time) and Bonnie could get caught in a tornado…. Next I went for the witches castle because it was only 5X a 4 hour common drop… Which I figured could feasibly be done in just over a day. I agree that there’s really no need to get the tower for cowardly joe lion. Only going to get it if I have excess materials at the end. Absolutely loving this event!!!

I have a couple different strategies, depending on the drops from the buildings for sale. I usually wait on the “extra rare” or “rare”, because I tend to be able to get hose fastest without any help.
1-I look for drops that have a high number, then I look to see how many sources there are for the drops. For example. you need to get 50 blips, and there is only one building that drops them.
2-then I look to see if there are drops with lots of characters assisting, or if there are only a few and they are doing double duty, so I will buy any buildings that will at least one method of dropping an item.
3- Then I buy the ones you need to complete the questline.
So in this event, first I bought the Lion Snax, then the Liquor Store. (I waited on the Oz Tower, because I already had 3/4 Badges, and got the Withes Castle, then the Tower, then TikTok, the Forest and the Fortune Teller.
good luck!

Is there any way to know who is trapped in each of the tornadoes?
As always thanks for all of the info and pointers you provide.

Does anyone yet know if Tik-Tok is a character or a decoration? Really hoping for the former, but expecting the latter. Good news, anyone?

I’m afraid not, he’s not a character, sorry.

i don’t want to earn the Witch , i’d rather work on getting Glenda instead … also The Cowardly Lion will be hard to get but I’m trying …

The Wicked Witch is optional. I kind of want here to keep my town in order, she may do better than Sheriff Peter lol

I’m quite a bit behind in this event now. my fallen houses didnt drop any oil cans for days so i didnt get Glinda’s palace until late yesterday and only just got the Donut diner (i mis-bought a bit and thought it better to get the shoe shop because wood was a Rare drop but i ended up getting wood everytime (giggity) ).
5 days left so i reckon if I time it perfectly for Scrap Metal and drop rates are kind (lol) i’ll prob get Tin-Quagmire by about Monday/Tuesday then i’ll just keep attacking Wicked Witch to try and unlock Glinda
Shame really because I was enjoying this one until it bottlenecked for me early in Phase2

So…I need Tin Woodsman Quagmire to start week three…well, I’m screwed then. 😢 I have one lube right now, so it will take (best time) another day-and-a-half to get the 10 needed. But after all the time collecting from Peter and more recently the building needed, I still only have only
6/15 scrap metal, and they seem to be taking FOREVER. Oh, well…par for the course, I guess.

Welcome to the club if you’re still in it. I still don’t have enough scrap metal and lube for tin quagmire… Not too likely to get it by end of event now in about 16 hours. Theoretically possible if all drops happen (ha) and I don’t want to spend clams if possible. Not missing much in phase 3, though. If Tik Tok were a character rather than a deco, I would have liked to get him. He and Professor Wogglebug were a couple of my favorite characters from the Oz books. But no time to get fur balls, have plenty of straw.
On the plus side – I took a chance on the mystery box and got Little Red Riding Hood Stewie! I had just missed getting him/her in the fairy tale event, so I’m happy. That means three new characters including scarecrow Peter and Dorothy Lois. I might actually also get Glinda, wasn’t trying but kept regularly attacking so could possibly get enough crowns.

AWESOME!!! 🎉😄
I just saw the list of prizes from the Fallen Farmhouse for this week. Tik-Tok is there!! I mentioned (just before this event started) how great it would be to have something [anything] from “Return To Oz”. That is one of the movies from my childhood – I even had it on a Beta video back in the 1980s. Thank you TinyCo! 👍

First Tik-Tok and now I have only just discovered that they have added a Wheeler to the game as well! 😁
If they can just add Jack Pumpkinhead that would be absolutely FANTASTIC!

I had characters pulled from Tan Lines too and Glinda is showing crowns needed. Exciting since I’m still trying to finish the Tinman.
I also am no longer just at Max. I’m now level 63 tonight. Cool.

18 hours. I found that they dropped every single time I collected from Glinda’s tower – 6 hours apart. But, then after you get Tin Woodman, you’ll need to put him to task, too, before phase 3 opens for you. Patience will be your friend, here.

Anyone notice that since the update hit Tan Lines is automatically checking out some characters and won’t allow you to check them back in? I messaged TC.

I had seven characters pulled from Tan Lines too that cannot be put back in which also disrupts my chances of getting red Stewie Bucks.
Bumped up to level 89 so I can at least level up with any xp I earn.
My game hasn’t progressed yet, perhaps I need to finish unlocking Tinman Quagmire first which will be late tomorrow if I get always drop on lube.

Hey Bunny,
I had a question regarding the tan lines hotel. I see that I am never going to fill the hotel to capacity and I also find it hard to believe anyone else will either. Is there any reason they made the capacity so high? I had quit the game but I came back so I missed the tan lines opening. 🙂

It is more for long time players with lots of Characters and nothing for them to do. A way to make it so they DON’T sit in Inventory.

However, now a few characters have been kicked out of Tan Lines and I can’t put them back: Stewie, Seamus, Connie and Carter (maybe some others who I sent to fetch items instead). 😦
