Figured I would bounce on by to see just where you all are as of now in this Christmas cracker of an event.
This information is very useful not only to Myself and the Addicts Helpers to see if there is anything else we need to focus on, but it also is information I do share with TinyCo so they can visually see as well just how the Players are getting along in the Event so far. If there are areas of improvement needed, areas working well, etc.

I just got Q*Bert, and it seems there is a new Character set in FaceSpace! Pixel Pals: Q*Bert, Monkey Kong, Peach, and what I assume will be Pac Man. (Or Puc Man? 🙂 ) 15 Clams if you collect the set!

Strange… this has not shown up in my game. I’m half way through 2nd phase and playing on iOS. I have everything I need for Qbert but decided to spend SS on princess first. Do you suppose you have to earn one of these to show collection? But I don’t recall it being like that for other events, like trek.

I didn’t notice whether the set was in Facespace before i got Q*bert, but it popped up on my screen the moment i unlocked him, so there is a good chance the set was only created at that time.

It’s created once you unlock 1 of the Pixel Pal characters, until then it doesn’t show in FaceSpace

This game is for people willing to pay for things only. Casual players should leave. I only stick around because I like Family Guy. Is it frustrating to get one new character per event (if I’m lucky)? Yep. But, at the end of the day, who cares? Any new character you get sits in storage unused. What’s the point a getting a new character if the same 10 characters are used over and over again (and don’t drop items)?

I am having the slowest start to any event yet. It’s now a couple of days into phase 2 and I’m still trying to unlock Peter’s new outfit. The nightcaps seem to have become a never drop rate as Bonnie and the Pinball Park have stopped giving me anything. I’ve never had a rare drop rate take so long.
Glad to see that a few more characters added to the stocking stuffers drops. I understand not using characters that not everyone has so that new players have the same chance but that brings up some issues for me.
1. Long time players get no use out of previous unlocked characters. If they want a level !playing field they could make the characters available again leading up to an event.
2. I have over 10 million coins available so that means I can buy buildings or pay to clear land easier than a new player could. I have resources built up just as with unlocked characters.
3. Sometimes it feels like TinyCo want to treat everyone as a new player regardless for how long they’ve been playing.
4. So far this event Peter has had no input into the game. He can’t be put into Tan Lines, he can’t earn stocking stuffers, he can’t even help unlock stuff for his own new outfit. So characters that are available to everyone aren’t even being used.
Just feeling unsatisfied with this event so far, doesn’t feel Christmasy at all.

I think your suggestion of making older characters available to unlock again or put them all in a 35-50 clam mystery, that’s fair clam price for characters that were previously free, and it gives new players the option to have those characters. It would then allow them to be used again in a fair way. And, yes maybe in our quest to be fair us long term players are being treated lesser than new players, it’s a tough nut to crack to find a perfect solution.

i will still be working on week one at the close of this event. still pissed i used up a LOT of clams to buy lion joe and the wicked witch for the oz event and tinyco extended it an an extra day! i may have saved a few clams. so, not spending a single clam for this event – which was clear from the outset that unless you buy a stocking stuffing building, you’re screwed right out of the gate! i accepted that. the drop rates for this one are laughably ridiculous. i still need tons of everything for qb and pp, but the lack of ways to earn the stupid-high amounts of ss’s are going to be the death of this event for me.
do not care though. i’m done investing actual money for things when tinyco refuses to meet us all halfway…

I have been waiting on tissue boxes, I’m so frustrated. i just got the ss for qbert. Still need one tissue. Eight hours, and two people doing it over a week, and only have three? It’s ridiculous. It’s also ridiculous that you get a week to finish donkey King, and peaches is like 2400 ss, plus every thing else. I sign in every four hours, like a job, and I’m struggling. They need to put Meg, and other characters to use. As well as better drops with the barrels. They want you to pay for “better drops”!!!!! $$$$$$$ that’s the only way to play. Can’t afford it.

I think they need increase the drop amounts for stocking stuffers and reduce the dream point drops. I just got my last giant Tissue, hope yours drops too.

Hi,
I was redeeming pink presents in Qberts pyramid pack and a message with Consuela popped up saying encountered an error in your payment and contact community support, but I wasn’t buying anything or trying to just using presents I had. The message went away and I redeemed a few more then it got stuck on a screen where the presents drop into circles to open. I’ve tried restarting, uninstalling and different devices. Seems like a problem on server because it loads and then gets frozen as presents drop down. I can’t get passed this to play. I’ve contacted support, but trying to see if it’s a widespread issue and get it fixed faster. Just wondering if anyone else has/had this issue and any advice. Thank you!

So here it is Friday, and I’m still on week one. Waiting for night caps for PP, and been trying for TWO DAYS to get three green balls to get Ice Wall, to no avail so far. Sending out all four characters to get gift boxes, usually only getting one box for the four attempts – having the gift boxes be “rare”? is stupid.
I agree with other posters who say other characters should be able to earn stocking stuffers: Santa, Jesus, God…and how about the family members? So far only Lois can earn anything (Chris did a couple of tasks, but that’s all). The “level playing field” argument that, i think, Russian Tigger put forth doesn’t hold water to me…the level field goes out the window when you take how they use premium characters into account, so past characters definitely should be in play more.

And now, something I mentioned before, I think: the survey itself. When I click on an answer (using my iPad), it scrolls down about half-way to the bottom. Then I scroll back up th the next question, whereupon it scrolls down further and on and on for the whole thing. Anyone else have this happen?

Some IOS users have had the scroll issue, although I’ve tested on my iPad and it doesn’t happen, clicking the survey link is only way avoid it at the moment.
As for “Level Playing Field”, I like fair play that’s all, but I agree 100% there needs to more ways to collect stocking stuffers, some tasks have been added to previously unlocked characters but that only helps us players who have them, it’s not any help to players who don’t have them, so for me it’s not the solution. I want every player to get a hand from TinyCo with stocking stuffer drops, a solution that helps ALL players. Premium buildings that drop stocking stuffers are fair, if over expensive, in that they are available to ALL players that choose to buy them, past unlocked characters are not, hence my concern if they are only way to get help.

Event is fun but seems impossible to get items. Not enough stocking stuffers and only 7 days for kong is way too short. I’m playing middle of the night because I have a young baby and I’m still not far enough.

I gotta pitch in with everyone else, the currency rate for this event is pretty bleak. Like another commenter pointed out, I too had to deliberately opt out of the weekly challenge. 500 for a building that only shells out 8 every 4 hours?? Even checking in every 4 hours, which honestly I probably wouldn’t do, I would then only be able to start shelling out a profit 11 days later on a 30 day event. Bad real estate investment.

I thought my favorite was the 100 rare bananas, on a timed character, but when you add in the 9 power ups with a 12 hour task, and make it a rate drop, well, that is my new favorite!

The Stocking Stuffers are really the only thing holding up the lunch line. I still need over 500 to get Q-bert, but have everything else checked off (and that includes deliberately skipping the weekly challenge, or I would be even further in the hole).
Looking ahead at the Phase 2 questlines, I can already see that this currency shortage is only going to get worse…

Please speak with the powers that be… stocking stuffers!!! Yes drop rate is horrible for the hats and omg the tissue boxes!!… I have peter for 3 days now thankfully but I’ve been trying from the start for tissue boxes and finally got my 3rd today.. hopefully won’t be another 4 days for the last box… without an up in stocking stuffers I don’t know how I’m going to get through this event!

So I’m having issues with every time I click a Sam ( little green guys) the game crashes. I took out all non useful buildings and accessories, set the game to lo-res and yet every try a crash. I haven’t even come close to completing week 1 and now its on week 2. Very sad state of affairs.

Is it possible for them to cut the SS costs in half for QB and PP? QB and MK’s building are needed to continue the quest path and PP is needed for MK. I can see keeping the SS costs where they are for QB and PP if you didn’t need them.

Stocking stuffer rates are totally absurd – zero possibility of any unlocking after Morning Peter unless you cough up a crapload of clams for extra stocking drops via decos. Boo!

You don’t need Qbert for the 2nd stage of the game but you do need Peaches to unlock Donkey Kong. So maybe just hold off on qbert (he only drops the 2nd stage crate thing) and concentrate on peaches. 🙂

You need him for this phases main Questline, so you will need him I’m afraid.

The drop rate for the stocking stuffers is insane, you have to unlock qbert to finish week 2 as one of the tasks involves him, so that is 2000 to unlock him then to get any chance of getting kong you need to unlock peach which is another 2400 of them. Am I missing something or is the only way of getting them (in big numbers) is by paying for the premium building.

Worst event for quite a while, got caught out with Donkey Kong, so I’m not hopeful of unlocking him within the time limit. The stocking stuffers are also causing a massive bottleneck, what happened to Christmas being the season of good will? Tinyco should seriously think about changing their name to Scroogeco….

Stocking staffers are the killer here. 4400 needed for Peaches and Qbert. I have 800 after getting Peter. DK is out of reach (7 days and need Peaches my then). I’m just going to play and see how it goes on this one… expectations of success are low so won’t stress on it.

Having the query packs on a rare drop is ridiculous.
I send the 3 toons on 3 hour task constantly and will be lucky if any of them drop it.

Im stuck because of green balls. I have all blankets and joysticks, but the only drops im getting from the pack are blue guys and stuffers. Even clearing sam with 3 blues, still not getting drops. I might get christmas peter by end of event.

I know that TinyCo is a profit making company, but they seem to want to make profit above making a game that people who can’t spend money at all can get very far in now. I may barely get Christmas Morning Peter by the end of the event the way the drops are going and Qbert is basically a pipe dream. With every event since I started, I fall further and further behind because each event seems to be more obtusely difficult. I don’t know why I bother anymore.

Quite frankly, that’s how it is with almost every event. Oz was the first event where I got everything (freemium) and didn’t use any clams. The Pirates one was close, but I used all my freemium clams rushing things. I have been playing 8 months and I have NEVER had more than 100 clams, because whenever I get close I have to use them to rush otherwise-impossible tasks. The random aspects (item drops) of the game are the most frustrating part. It is a definitely a difficult game to actually enjoy. My goal is to finish the main questline (I’m in the last area now) and I’ll call it quits after that… that can still take a few months!

Given the amounts required to unlock stuff, the Stocking Stuffers seem to be in much shorter supply than is the norm with event currencies. Q*Bert’s tissues are also a pain, as extra rare items during events are always frustrating.

The hat drops and tissue drops are ridiculous ,specially the tissues. I actively play throughout the day from the start of the event and don’t even have one box of tissues!! I should have had Christmas morning peter two days ago but it just won’t drop my last hat 😦 Box drop rate isn’t that great either when you have 4 people working on them and you get none doesn’t seem right. This event definitely needs some fixes. Otherwise I like the theme and hope I will be able to achieve getting Peach.

When I saw that Peaches was 2400 stocking stuffers it put a huge damper on the game. I was hoping to get Q bert by the end of the event with the drop rates so low, with 3 weeks left it looks like 75% of the game is unubtainable.

I have to agree with most of the other comments, the stockings are just horrid. I Just unlocked Peters costume yesterday and Q-Bert seems to be a huge roadblock not to mention the Princess. Perhaps they need to tune the drop rates a bit.

This entire event has been horrible. Really the only thing I can say without this just being a long list of What the Duece level issues since they seem to be going out of their way to make this event as frustrating as possible.

I’m finding that the amount of Stocking Stuffers needed at this point is way too high, I’ve managed to unlock Christmas Morning Peter, got all of week 1 prizes from Puppet Theatre, and completed Phase 1 questline. As for Q*Bert I have all the items needed except for Stocking Stuffers, which I currently have just over 1000. With the amount of Stocking Stuffers we need being over 5000 I feel we need more ways of earning them because at this rate it’s going to be too difficult, otherwise this event is fun.

Just a comment on the event. I think everything is VERY acheivable, with the exception of 2000 candy canes for qbert… that really grinds my gears

600 stocking stuffers for Peter was reasonable, but 2000 for Q*bert and now 2400 for peach?!? They are trying to force us to buy a premium building that drops stocking stuffers(which is going to be useless after the event is over….so yeah I’m not going to fall in that trap).

Has anyone actually unlocked Q*Bert yet? I’m still 1600 stuffers away from getting him (have everything else). I just laughed when I saw Peach needs 2400 stuffers as well!!!

I ended up using clams to make up for lack of stocking stuffers when it got down to like 45 clams…. It’s killing me that they keep stripping characters of there stocking stuffer jobs… They just made mort and Bruce worthless now

Since this poll was about the drop related stuff anybody do feel that the night caps are acting like extra rare drops and got only 1 tissue after mort’s and bonnie’s combined 8th try.
