We all love a Chrustnas surprise, not knowing what you’re going to get until you open it. Well, that’s how I look at the Weekly Challenge! You never know what you’re going to get until it drops in your game.
As always these aren’t called a challenge for nothing, sometimes they can be extremely difficult to complete, especially for freemium players. Many see these as extra fun for premium players but that doesn’t mean a freemium player can’t do it, it just depends where you are in the game and sometimes a lucky guess at what items to stockpile whilst you wait for the challenge to drop. The prizes to date have always been decorations, with the odd building as a Grand Prize, so I wouldn’t advocate spending clams on these, but as always the choice is yours.
Anyway this week’s challenge, if you should choose to accept it, seems a mixed bag, in one way it should work in tandem with what a lot of us will be doing right now, collecting Glee Bears, but you’re going to have to get specific Glee Bears to complete the task, which is outwith your control. And you’ve only got 24 hours in which to complete the task this Phase. If you manage to complete it you will be awarded the Rupert the Bear Rack decoration.
What do you need to do to complete it, well here’s the deal, you will need to complete the Bonus Toy Stories task which consists of:
Peter Starts
Earn 4 Holly Jolly Bears
Earn 2 Pepper Merry Bears
You have 24 Hours IN WHICH TO COMPLETE ALL PARTS.
So there you have it the phase of this events weekly challenges.

So in my perspective this event has been terrible. I’m still doing week 2 tasks because I couldn’t unlock peaches or qbert. But my tree on the other hand is level 20. Don’t quite know how that’s possible. It’s very frustrating and am tired of these bad events. I don’t know if I’ll continue playing.

I managed to get all the yellow bears (I have 8 of them!) but I am yet to get ANY green bears for the entire event. Stuck on Dream Come True Pt 6 as a result

i missed out by a few minutes .. i actually got the last green bear i needed but i had visitors and i couldn’t open the care packages in time 😦 😦
well it’s only a decoration that’ll get stashed in my inventory forever so not really sad about it …

Failed this since I never got a green bear. Don’t really care though, the lack of any red bears is much more annoying. Been over a day since I’ve cleared Bonnie which to look on the positive side means I haven’t had to be annoyed she didn’t drop a beach ball again.

oh just wait… it will happen! Did to me, in fact it was closer to 2 days since id got 3 red bears and there it was……….. a rainbow and NOT a red triangle. Overall this week ive cleared Bonnie 5 times and only got 2 balls, its just beyond a joke at this point, too much WTD
Btw i was quick to start week 4 and place Rupert but am stuck at 10/15 triangles. Been playing a year and this has been BY FAR the worst week of an event ive known, literally impossible, might not even get it done in 2 weeks for black jesus’ sake!

Horrible timed event. I got more Ghost Boxes and candy canes then i got bears. I picked up all but 1 chance to get as many boxes as possible. Set a horrible alarm to go off every 4 hours so I could collect.

So the event is still “working as intended”? I’ve gotten a grand total of 4 beach balls since Bonnie has had the blues nearly the entire week. Still need 6 triangles, and been stuck on step 7 for the past four days

Very frustrating this week. I have only had 1 Green Bear come from care boxes since the challenge started, an no Yellow Bears at all. Most of my boxes are dropping nothing but candy canes and ghost boxes, which are annoying… Rupert is still locked and I barely get one beach ball a day…

Frustrating when I get two blue boxes each time with every care package. And that’s if I get a care package! I’ve only freed the cloud over Bonnie once, making it hard to send her to get a beach ball. Annoying. Will probably leave this game after event ends

Shure Bonnie is busy trying to get a Beach Ball.. Lois is walking around with a cloud since I can’t get a single green bear in the last 3 days . BUT Bruce is out and about .. still not in the list.. and no cloud.. Besides the fact of the boxes never giving what you need.. tiny Co always telling you that’s how it’s supposed to be.. just to get you to spend clams.. aso well as item drops.. this game has gone from a relaxing enjoyable pass time to a stressful ulcer causing program or a mess

Bruce constantly had holiday blues whilst I was unlocking Rupert, no issues at all that way.

The reason Rupert’s box changes is because only the people with the blues can give the triangles. So if you free someone from the blues and they don’t get them back, they don’t appear.

If you have him in storage or in the hotel. Take him out. He will not spawn unless he is free. This is what I had to do.

The requirements for Rupert do change depending on which characters you have with clouds above their heads, so would be right if Bonnie is doing another task that she wouldn’t appear in the list until she had a cloud above her head and so on with the other two Bruce and Lois.

It’s a game of chance, player has no control over this week’s challenge, which effectively defeat the purpose of having them in my opinion. I’ve a few hours left but not had any of the Glee Bears needed and not a thing I can do about it.

I am on my last cycle (just under 7 hours on the clock to complete, so only 1 more chance to earn freemium boxes). I have Premium Death, so I am guaranteed at least 1 box every 4 hrs. However, I checked to see what the clam cost was if I wanted to try to rush a character and it is 67 clams for Peach, Q-bert, and Brian, while Death is 99 clams (I guess due to him always dropping). I need the two greens (which if the game dropped this challenge 4 hrs sooner, I would have had in aboundance as I somehow got 4 that pass), so it is kind of a kick in the butt for being so lucky previously.

Surprisingly, managed to complete this one without even trying, although it’s the red bears that I really need. I appear to have completed all the challenges so far… but not sure I’ll even see the next one, as Rupert and Black Jesus progress this week is pretty much at a standstill.

I hadn’t received a Yellow Bear in 2 days and suddenly got 8 in a row. Coincidence, I think not. Green and Red Bears though not a sign.

This event officially tanked for me with 8 bit Lois aka the infamous pill shortage. I have not seen one single green/Lois bear and I might (heavy emphasis/italics/bold on the might) get Jesus @ the end. I got 3 ghostly gifts on my second care package…there was an F’bomb explosion in my house lolol.

Same proble, here, zero bears on most opens. Candy canes and ghost drops and ghost drops don’t ever give me Power Pellets. I’ve gotten 8 in 40+ boxes. Bonnie has been locked with a red cloud over her since this phase since I’ve gotten one red bear in four days. Oh, and ZERO rainbows. Giant Baby has com and gone twice for me and not a single hit.
I’ve been playing almost since the game out, maybe three months after launch. I think this has to be one of the worst events for freemium players, defiantly top three. The drop rates are just unbelievable bad. ive contacted TinyCo three times and each time their response is “drop rates are normal in your game”. I say nay nay…each phase zero drops for the first 4-5 days of required item is not normal. If that is, then that’s really bad programming.

What I did was once I got the green bear to free lois I used it to complete the main quest then I put her in my inventory until I got some more then I’ll take her out use those bears and put her back in inventory I’ll do the same thing for Bruce once I get one more triangle to unlock Rupert the first few days of this week were disappointing but yesterday and today was real kind to me

Still haven’t gotten any of the one for Lois’ blues and I’ve been shut out of the game all today.
Not a good last 2 weeks for moving forward.
Does anyone’s clock tower change appearance when you update it? Mine looks the same as week one.

Maybe I’ll start to get any type of bear now. In the last 4 care packages I opened, I received 10 ghostly gifts and candy canes! And of course “dropping as intended”.

Very disappointing since it’s only the red bears I think we want and I haven’t seen a green bear in over a week. Now I suppose I’ll get nothing but yellow and green and no more red 😦

Considering that I have not earned that amount of bears in 5 days, I doubt I will do it in 24 hours! Glad they showed the final prize in advance, because I do not care if I get out or not, so if I do not complete this challenge, I am not losing anything!

I thought the challenge might be something like this so I started saving care packages Sunday night. I had 15 saved up, it took opening 9 packages to get the 6 required bears.
