It’s raining men, ok, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration, just like most things on Quahog 5 News, lol. But there is a man with an umbrella, and it is raining outside as Ollie Williams is the latest comeback character to hit our games.
Let’s take a look at what Ollie Williams can do in our silly lil games.
Ollie Williams is a Character first added during the Boomsday Event, but is now making another appearance in the Best of 2016 event. . As with (almost) all Characters in TQFS in order to unlock him you’ll have to collect STUFF.
For Ollie Williams, the STUFF you have to earn for him in this event can be seen once you place him in your game from your shopping cart.
Ollie Williams can be seen once you place The Water Bay from your shopping cart. It costs $750.
Tapping on his Lock Icon will show you the Materials you needed to collect to bring him into the game.

15 Ollie William Tokens: 40 Clams Per Token OR Carnival Pack OR Cheerleader Bonnie Reminisce About 2016
He does come with a Questline, Ollie Ollie, Toxin Free.

Got Ollie thanks to the free darts.
Had problems and I’m very happy to at least gotten one. I’ve been playing 11 months, but didn’t have any of the four characters.
I could get usually 4 tickets with the darts, but I got 5 twice.
I had a lot of the prizes. I bought the billboard, the castle, neverland and 3 more Jolly Rogers. I wish neverland would go on the water.

Its probably too late but were we supposed to get help cuz of the glitches??? i didn’t get any… I’m behind on all the characters ..think need 1 or 2 more for olly. But not enough clams to pay for him …I’m annoyed missing twice now but couldn’t get on for 3days so just assumed didn’t have a chance 😬

What I don’t understand is TinyCo can be measuring the progress of players quite simply by seeing the ratio of building tokens to character tokens. I am only working for Jim Kaplan and have one token for him and 14 building tokens in my last 15 tries. I am at 13 total and have two more dart collections. There is no way I am spending clams for him. I refuse to reward TinyCo for knowingly putting an obviously uncollectible character in our games. I was going to get some clams and take a spin at some of the mystery boxes of the characters that were premium only that I missed out on, but not now. Why would I support them when I don’t feel good about them? They can see I am playing the challenge from the number of building tokens I have collected so this one isn’t on me for not playing the game. It is incredibly poor foresight on their part to set up a challenge that doesn’t reward players for playing it the way it is constructed.

Long time reader first time poster – thanks for the good work and valuable information you provide!
I seem to have a new glitch. When opening a carnival pack, my game froze, and now when I go back into my game it gets past the loading screen then freezes every time with the 3 carnival pack logos kinda transparently displayed over the screen. I’m using iOS with the latest version installed. I’ve tried turning the phone off/on and also deleting and reinstalling the app. I can’t even report the error to TinyCo as it doesn’t get as far as letting me get to the support section. Do they have an email address I can send them screenshots to?
Thankfully I’d already unlocked Ollie, but I don’t think I’ll be getting RR Stewie, Giant Chicken or Jim now 😦

I never got any darts. I play on Android and I had the glitch. Sent a mess in game about 10 hours ago but no answer. Time is running out got me. Used clams because I really want the chicken 😞

on the other hand , never buy things at 3 AM when u’re sleepy .. i bought Neverland (which i already have) instead of Mt Olympus ..

Ok Ok got those darts for my Android now I’m on a roll. Got RR Stewie, got close enough I went ahead and paid up a few clams to finish getting Giant Chicken, they’re working on tasks to get Kaplan, the plans coming together.

There is obviously a problem. I opened 7 packages in a row and still no Kapplan coins. Free darts won’t help nonexistent drops! Clams won’t help nonexistent drops. No answers no fixes. I only need Kapplan. No excuse for this crap. Got 1 Kaplan coin per package the first 5 times so clearly there’s a problem. Beyond mad.

Our 3 family games are basically all played at same time and were equally affected by Android glitch but only 1 got the bonus darts.

Do kindle users get the gift? Because I was getting the error issues galore. So far I’m not seeing the darts. I’m hoping that changes because I’m sitting at 5/20 for Giant Chicken. I need those darts!

I was fortunate as I won the algorithm lottery for Ollie during Boomtown and Giant Chicken during WWE, so I had pretty much given up on this one as I was very affected by the glitch (it took three days and multiple uninstalled and installation cycles to get back in), The 24 dart gift was nice and allowed me to get RR Stewie, but still only at 14/20 for JK…may have a shot, but the 6 hour tasks for darts will make it tough as I have to work, LOL! The gift was nice, I can be as critical (politely and tactfully) about TinyCo as anyone, but I will acknowledge it was a good gesture…

I can’t believe they decided not to voice Ollie. His entire character is based around vocal gags.

Thanks to the extra darts I now not only have Ollie, but also RR Stewie 🙂 Need about 9 or 10 more for giant chicken and about 14 more for Kaplan. So maybe/hopefully I’ll get the chicken?

I didn’t report any problem, but still got the darts 🙂 I was able to play normally by uninstalling/reinstalling, but it’s still nice to get the extra darts 🙂

got my 24 darts …. but im not so good in hitting 4 balloons every time .. most of the time i hit just 3 …
anyway they helped a lot … I need 1 more token to get Ollie and 4 to unlock Stewie .. but Chicken is still way off I only have 6 … my next dart drop is in 5 hours …

I’m on Android, however I didn’t encounter any problems. Just too many building tokens. I got the gift tho. Happy to take it. I only needed Jim and chicken. With something like 24 hours left I only had 13/20 for chicken. So I figured I’d not get him this time either, but now I just need one more token and the third time may be the chicken charm! Still only at 13/20 for Jim, so unless those tokens change from building to Jim, he may be out of reach. But so happy they dropped darts.

Tiny Co just gave me a bunch of free darts for using a android but I didn’t experience any problems with the event was able to play from day one that helped me unlock rr stewie in less than 5 mins just need 8 more tokens for Jim Kaplan and stewie to finish his task got ollie on sunday

I didn’t have any errors either. The dart drops have been better over my last couple cycles and I think I average 4 tickets per dart so I was getting close to getting Kaplan anyway. This will get him for sure now.

I just unlocked Ollie a few minutes ago and probably because TinyCo had 24 darts waiting for me when I opened my game today. Apparently, they decided to give darts out because of the “Error: basic_string::_S_create” problem many users encountered. I didn’t get the error when I first launched the event, but later that day it started popping up and continued into the next day. I’m hoping to get lucky and unlock either Kaplan, Stewie or the Giant Chicken before the event ends. I’m close on Stewie, but no one else because I have more building tokens than anything and i don’t need them.

I just unlocked him, and I’m a little bummed that he doesn’t have his own questline. I took a couple of the Boomsday buildings out of inventory so that I could have a 2 hour and 6 hour tasks with Ollie. Since it takes 6 hours to get the darts, I have just been giving everyone 6 hour tasks so I only have to check back that often. Once this event is over, I’ll probably put him in the hotel with everyone else.

Some of the returning characters Questlines that may not come up for those just getting them in their games, it could be because their original Questlines were too centred round the event they were originally unlockable in. However I’ve just got Big Bad Brian and Dino Chris and hit it lucky as they come with their Questlines, but that could be because they were originally premium characters.

I got Ollie during the current event and he came with a questline. The part one was different than the one listed on this site for the original event but so far the rest has been the same (I am on part 3). I think the main questline for the “best of” event has a part that tasks you with collecting enough tokens to unlock Ollie. It might be the part 4 (last part). If you haven’t finished part four of the main questline, try that, maybe ollies questline will drop after.

I got Ollie a few days ago… the questline only popped up today, after I got my free darts. I’m not sure why… but I’m working through it now
