I just want to remind everyone that the end is nigh, as TinyCo will soon be calling time on our little road trip to India.
WHEN DOES THE EVENT END?
New end time:Thursday 19th January at 12PM Pacific
Wednesday 18th January at 3 pm Pacific. Keep in mind they are usually VERY punctual on this. There is no leeway.
WILL IT BE EXTENDED?
NO. There has been no indication up until now that the event will be extended.
Yes, the event has been extended, new end date Thursday 19th January at 12PM Pacific
CAN I CONTINUE COLLECTING AFTER THE EVENT?
NO. When the Event Ends, it takes all the Event items and Currency remaining with it. That means ANY Character/Costume not completely unlocked and walking in your game will go when the Event does. You MUST collect all the items needed to get them as permanent additions to your game.
This goes for Buildings and Decorations too. Purchase all the ones you want as they will go with the Event. And of course the leaderboards.
WHAT HAPPENS TO EXTRA CURRENCY?
Anything linked to the Event goes with the Event, so that means all those rupees too. Use it or lose it essentially.
I CAN’T GET MORE ITEMS!!
Keep in mind the game is set up to pull items from the Inventory Storage first, so if you already have say… 10 of an item in Inventory… you will need to pull ALL 10 items out first before the game will let you buy more.
Place items from Inventory first, then you can get more. Continue buying until you have all you want, then store them away.
QUESTLINES?
The ONLY Questlines that usually continue on after an Event are those directly linked to unlocking a Character or Costume and isolated from the Main Questline. All other Questlines that are directly linked to the Event and will go with it.

If you just compensate everyone then that really doesn’t address the individual players complaints, which is something players often get annoyed about. So if something goes wrong, a little here’s a few clams cause we’re sorry pop up is nice, but it doesn’t help players who have specific issues they want addressed.

I am in the UK and events current finish at 11pm. I checked at 11.15 last night and I did not get a message that the event had been extended. I therefore stopped trying to get stuff. I log in this morning to find it had been extended and I have missed 8 hours of time. I have now missed the chance to get Ganesha. Very annoyed.

So incredibly uncool! I spent well over 150 clams to rush tasks and buy materials to get Ganesha by 3 pm yesterday. And I was about 200 rupees short on getting the taj, so,I wasted all my rupees on junk I didn’t want. I could have easily gotten 200 more rupees by today, This is unfair and just very disappointing. And not the first time. Last time tinyco did the right thing. Let’s see what happens this time. I am not happy with this game right now.

I did, and they made it right. This is the second time they did this to me. The other being the Oz event. And they took care of it properly both times. Tinyco seems to support us, Thanks.

I took this event off and the game causing stress has faded from my life. The events were fun until they started changing event currency weekly and then making clam items to drop more of those weekly items. Since then if you don’t keep up you won’t see the entire event and if you’re not in sync with that event’s game dynamics then you fall behind. If you don’t make at least a clam purchase in the beginning and the middle of the event for a character or a building that drops event items/currency then you fall behind. The Peter costume to start most events should be a really easy thing to jump start the event rather each event seems to make the first character that much harder to get the ball rolling. Many console/PC games have alternate quests/endings based on user input/action. TinyCo needs to take a page from that playbook and weave in more options or “trapdoors” to either let players keep up/grind (WITHOUT clams) or to check out of event and have long term things to do. Not venting or a WTD, but more of my observations on how to “Make this Game great again!” LOL

Guys, let’s give Tinyco the credits they deserve by listening to our complaints and feedback. I sent them a request to extend by one day as I explained one week is just too short. And they listened! I will send them a compliment today. Encourage all to do the same so Tinyco will see some positive messages and know what they are doing is appreciated!
I just need 3 more fights to get enough blessings for Ganesha. Hope I get her. Good luck to everyone.

Hah! Typical switcheroo from the Overlords…
Not that I even care at this point – I had already abandoned all the event tasks since I was too far away from both Ganesha and BDStewie. Then again, I had a feeling that it might go this way from the start so I had a different strategy.
Instead of spending my rupees on questline items, I decided to wait and see if I could earn the Taj Mahal before I cashed in. After patiently waiting, I just barely squeaked by 1000 rupees around 10 am and bought it. After that, I saw no point in trying for anything else since there was so little time left – I had met my goal and had nothing else to gain.
The important thing is that I eventually got the one seemingly unattainable item that I wanted, and spent zero Clams in doing so. This is a victory for the rebellion against needless junk and the senseless Clam-mongering of the Overlords.
Quality over Quantity…

I always love it when you try like mad to get the items to the point of waiting until 5 minutes before the event ends and then unloading precious clams to rush that last ingredient/item…to then be typing 3 hours later when the event DIDN’T end and event currency is still being earned….LOVE IT!!!!

Well TinyCo, you managed to do it again. I shut down my event this afternoon since there was no chance to get Ganesha so I could get ready for a new event to drop tonight. Apparently, well after the announced time of the event end, TinyCo decided to extend the event to 12 pm PT Thursday. Had I kept playing I had a legitimate chance at Ganesha, but not now. Very frustrating. It’s my fault. Always expect the unexpected.

I finally broke down after playing for 2 years and bought clams to finish this event after spending almost 200 free clams as it was to end today. What do I find out now…it was extended by 1 day and I could have saved my money and probably 100 clams. TinyCo is evil!!!!

It’s almost 6pm mountain time and the Ganesha was not active the first time I checked. Checked again and it has the 24hr timer. I sent Jerome and Peter on other quest because I needed a lot of vails. Hope I can get BD Stewie. Would have been nice to know it wasn’t ending at 3pm. I would have kept it the same getting offerings.

Just got BD Stewie just before 6pm EST, when the event would end. What makes no sense to me is that this was a one week event, and it literally takes a week to get a character that will help obtain another character. I’m curious if any Freemium players were able to get Ganesha, because I don’t think that it was at all possible. I wish at least one other character dropped items for Ganesha; that sure would’ve helped out.

I am glad I checked here! I have had no pop up saying that the event ends today. I don’t have a chance of getting anything else anyway (I panicked and used 18 freemium clams to unlock Stewie yesterday) but I find it weird that I didn’t get a message in my game saying it was ending.

I’m still going to support the game. 2 years straight with money spent, it’s too late to just throw away the amount I’ve spent down the drain. But I’m pretty upset that yet again, I haven’t gotten a new character. So close and yet it’s thrown away. I have gotten really close to getting that Stewie skin, all I need are the coins; and now I find out it’s about to end in less than the amount of time said. Same with Ganesha. However, Ganesha actually legit creeps me out so, I’m fine. But still, it’s a shame that this is another event that could’ve been made stress free and wasn’t. When it comes to events, for me, it’s about worrying when the next phase of an event is going to start, and one day behind already makes the event a hassle and it’s over for me from there.

well… yet again another tremendously disappointing event. no stewie, no ganesha. i used up some rupees to buy decos i didn’t need or want just to appease myself for the wasted time and effort. drop rates were even worse than usual, and there just aren’t enough ways to earn what you need. i pledged late last year that i would not spend one more dime on this game since it’s become so very clear that tinyco isn’t willing to meet us halfway.
i really hate that buying premium characters is a waste of money. i heard that tc wants to keep the playing field level, but what is the actual point then of investing in things that keep us always on par with the newbies? all my premiums are in tan lines. i don’t even bother anymore. those pixels are stupid expensive to begin with and when their event ends, they become absolutely worthless. same for premium decos. i see no point in any of it.
so, i have been playing, paying, and supporting since this game rolled out. today is my last day.
it’s been… something.

So where do we go from here? I am also one of those considering leaving this game behind . The third event in a row where I’ve been so close to getting a character and not because of lousy drops. The comments here used to be amusing and entertaining, but now are even getting more and more complain-y. It’s been a good run, almost 3 years now? I really hope TC will take some of these suggestions to heart and make things a little more obtainable.
I’ve always appreciated how much work you gals have put in to this site . Thank you so much. I don’t know how you manage having a real job (and life) and all, but thank you.

I doubt TinyCo care. I messaged them about the appalling drop rates and how infuriatingly difficult it was with the Ganesha offerings and they said sorry I felt that way and they take all feedback, positive and negative, “under advisement” – whatever that actually means. So I wouldn’t hold my breath for things changing any time soon – or at all. And there I go WTDing again!

I’m giving up. I still need 5 veils and 1 wand thingie for Stewie’s skin. The drop rates are terrible as always. I’m not going to ever buy clams and will continue to be a freemium player. I’m not going to give TinyCo any of my hard earned cash.

I managed to get the Stewie skin yesterday but have no chance for Ganesha as there just isn’t enough time remaining now that I have a third character to help collect items. Maybe “always” drops would have helped because it seems I had a lot of drops that provided only air. I don’t want to stop playing the game because of how much I enjoy it when tasks/challenges are achievable. But we are on a bad streak here. Is this the storm (a grab for clams) before the permanent calm (the demise of the game)?

I’m with you Mary Pat, I enjoy playing the game as well and like you I just got Belly Dancer Stewie yesterday. I m short 25 offerings for Ganesha. There is simply not enough time to gather all the resources required to get those last 25 for me. My Ganesha timer literally runs out in 30 minutes. I hope this game doesn’t die, I really enjoy playing. But lately it has been very difficult to get all the characters associated with the events.

Same here, unlike many this is the first event in quite a while where I didn’t get all freemium characters and costumes. Stewie costume unlocked too late to help. Probably should have had Chris questing for guyliner from the start and bought the building earlier, that’s the problem with one week events, it’s harder to recover from those little errors.

This has been the final straw for me – frankly I don’t give a flying whatever whether I get BD Stewie now, as he’s useless now, in terms of the end of the event being today. I can understand to some extent a character being challenging to get, but a skin? I need three bracelets and I refuse to spend clams to get them – I don’t care if I only need one in the end. Drops have been absolutely appalling – this mini event has been effectively aimed at hardcore premium players. This could have been a really fun event, instead its joyless and a grind. Oops, sorry, turned left and strayed into “what the deuce” 🙂

A WTD straying into another post even, lol. But it’s been tough, and I think it’s the build up of the Chridtmas event, the Brst of event and now this that are seeing frustrations boiling over. Something’s got to give, and sadly players are saying goodbye to the game as they aren’t finding it fun anymore.

I just started moderating in September, there was a little upbeat period during Oz, then boom, it’s been tough since. I feel bad for fellow players who are putting the work in but getting no reward. It’s certainly affected my own enjoyment of the game. Fingers crossed for better things to come.

I’m pretty much like most, been playing steady along and just not getting anywhere. No Stewie or Ganesha for me either. Don’t think I may have gotten them even dropping a few clams along the way.

I moatly play Freemium (I concede I’ll drop a few bucks on characters I like in events) and this one has been tough. I’ve used about 40-50 free clams from ads to rush a few tasks to unlock BD Stewie, with luck I should have enough blessings for Gamesha just before the event ends. It’s annoying because I hate spending clams on anything other than characters but I’m taking the view that I’m technically buying Ganesha with them, just the long-winded way 🙂
For anyone not using clams (even the free ones) this event would be massively unfair, eyeliner drops for Stewie were horrendous and only two chatactets able to earn blessings for Gsnesha on a 4-hr task was stupid. These mini-events are suppoaed to give us some breathing time but these last two have been hugely frustrating. Hopefully the next big event will be a bit more chilled (at least at the beginning! Lol)

No chance at getting Ganesha have about 50 blessings. Still need 3 more veils to get the stewie costume. Not that happy about how tough Ganesha is. Oh well let’s hope that the next event will be better..

I just got Ganesha and was excited to get the Taj Mahal but now I can’t earn any rupees except with Chris. I really really wanted the Taj Mahal and there’s no way that’s going to happen 😦

I’d like to earn the Taj Mahal, but only have 710 coins and don’t see any way to earn enough before the event ends. I’ve got Tiger Brian and Chris doing their tasks and am getting coins from the diety statue and don’t see any other task to earn coins.

Once you e unlocked Ganesha those are the only options to earn rupees apart from buying the Divine Stewie Shrine, ŵhich dropped 15 rupees every 10hrs.

Got belly dancer stewie tonight. Not a chance of getting ganesha. And this event and the past couple have really turned me off playing so I’ve decided to take a break from this game. It has become increasingly more frustrating than fun, and I’m tired of being frustrated by a game. A break may be what’s needed.

Just need 1 more peanut in the next 11 hours to unlock Belly Dancer Stewie; that surely shouldn’t be a problem!

This is just one more event amongst most events that I will not get any event characters due to the horrible drop rate of items that are required for them. I have half of what I need for BD Stewie and with the event set to end tomorrow I see no way to achieve either Stewie or Ganesha. Thanks a lot TinyCo. Well done.

Tip? Give up unless you’re a clam hoarder or buyer. Unless you lived and breathed every task in this, you would only get close. Way too many items needed to battle Ganesh for the drop rates IF you could accurately predict what to produce with character tasks. Mine kept randomizing the first item so whatever I held off on, I never had the right amount of any to get beyond X2. Rare drops for Stevie’s items in a week long event. Really don’t wanna say it but, WHAT THE DEUCE, TinyCo?!?!?!

I would love to see the addicts do a poll on this event since I suspect no one at all got Stewie or ganesha without paying flat out for them since the drop rates have been abysmal the entire event. Would love to see the stats on that! I’ve been playing every 2 hours like always since the event started and still have 11 eyeliners needed for stewies bellydancer costume as of right now. I got the building that drops them pretty quickly within the first 36 hours of the event. . I finally gave up on ganesha entirely and am just playing for the stewie costume basically at this point. Jerome and Peter’s drops are also not very good and I’m only able to attack ganesha to the 2x or maybe 3x level once per day with just one drop per two characters going for an item every 4 hour cycle… Takes a long time to build up enough for an attack and I tried saving them up a day but it really didn’t improve the outcome much in relation to the rupees and other items needed for ganesha. I get it, tiny Co wants us to buy the peanut and flower leis and sitars packs for clams but honestly I really am not super excited about having Ganesha in my game, can barely if ever recall Ganesha being in a family guy episode, so had to rely on your where the heck reminder article to even recall why the theme for this event even existed! As always, love your addicts site and all the wonderful work you ladies do here! Can’t thank you enough for all your help these years!

I’m 100% freemium, and haven’t spent any of my free clams on this event at all. I unlocked the Stewie costume 2 days ago, but I have no chance to get Ganesha unless I buckle and buy something… but I need 43 blessings, so I’ll need to do the maths as to whether that’s even achievable
