God help us all as Ganesha has come to town. Not being a God to blow his own trumpet he’s instead brought his drums, oh and a Questline, yes he’s brought one of them too.
Ganesha is available to unlock as part of the Road to Bollywood Event. You’ll find the full profile HERE.
At the time of writing this Ganesha doesn’t have any tasks to drop anything useful to closing out the event, so you will probably put him straight to work on his Questline and here’s what it entails.

So, did anyone actually get the skin or character WITHOUT spending clams to buy items needed or rushave characters through actions? I’m finding this has been the theme since this game began and for me it has simply gotten old and takes away the fun of the game as it is not strategy as people have argued in the past but luck of drops as there is formula for the drops i.e. common every other, uncommon every 3rd, etc. Some get drops pretty much everytime while others of us go 8 actions before we get one. It seems quite obvious Tinyco doesn’t listen to player feedback or if they do they simply laugh and choose not to fix anything. This girl is done spending real money on this game, luckily for “that other game” and company they do listen to feedback and make adjustments for more player enjoyment so they will reaping the rewards for that.

So I unlocked Ganesha using clams like a lot of people and then they took the quest line away when 12 pm pacific hit. Don’t they usually leave character quest lines? They took Stewies away too. I hadn’t been doing his quest line because I was using him to get the stuff to unlock Ganesha.

Well, I ended up spending 81 clams to unlock Ganesha even though I didn’t care if I got him or not. I needed 10 peanuts for one more attack to get enough blessings (paid 4 to finish a peanut task and 77 for a bag of 9 peanuts). I had zero chance of getting enough in the time they gave us.

I’m so pissed! I thought it was ending the normal time today as yesterday and was down to my last drop to get him and when I logged in everything was gone! I’m so over this game. I wasted clams, speeding up etc. So all I needed was this final drop and for nothing!

Just threw away 200 coins to buy some decorations and buildings last night. Since I’m not getting the skin and handshake anyway. Then out of nowhere more time! Well nicely planned

I am totally annoyed. I could have easily gotten this character by tomorrow. Since the event was ending today, I spent money for the last of the offerings I needed. Nice of them to announce the extension after the announced time of the event.

I messaged them and had my clams refunded. I argued that they only announced the extension more than two after the initial deadline, but I spent the clams before that. Playing in the UK always puts me at a disadvantage time wise

I sent them a message, hate feeling like a chump. Hopefully they are understanding of how their seemingly whimsical way of running this game jilts players. They’ve helped me out before, hope they stay good.

I sent them an in-game message last night about how mad I was to find out they did this after I just gave up on the event because I wouldn’t have had time to complete but with the extension I might have. Today I got a response from them basically saying they are sorry and gave me 300 clams for it. “OK Tinyco you got my attention and thank you”

Same with me, so they do get a “Thank you” from me…and while it was a nice gesture, I really hope they improve the continuity of the events, make the drops consistent to what they are called, make it fun, not frustrating…I’m actually looking forward to a few days off, finishing some outstanding quest lines and earning some Stewie bucks…

Frustrating again, quit tasks with 3 hours left in event because what’s the point of a four hour task right??? Then find out its extended 5 hours after it was supposed to end. With zero notice! TC this is why more and more players feel that you care nothing about them, only their clams!

I pull everyone off tasks to earn Ganesha cause no way I could earn him with time left today… if I had one more day I would have him. Put them on other jobs to clean up quest lines… then they extend event one day… again…. without giving us enough warning. Now not sure I can earn him now. Thanks??! Had I only known…

Same with me, didn’t think I had a chance (61/115 blessings), so I just quit this morning after I earned Stewie as it was obvious this one was done,..ugh…not that I would have had a chance, but a little heads-up would have been nice…done with this one, dreading what’s coming next which is probably not what TinyCo wants to hear from their customers…

I find if you don’t bother with one one day, you won’t get one the next, but it comes back the day after.
As such, I always do the parts that aren’t using a character I need to avoid that from happening.

This is a bit off subject, but i was wondering if there is going to be a new event imnediately starting again when this ends? Not that i dont like them, they just dont give a long enough break for me to proceed with the main quest line, and always seem to use the characters i need to continue on event items 😦

Honestly don’t know, they usually do start one event after another, breaks are very few and far between.

Still 10 blessings away. Only have 2 offerings of the 8 needed to attack at 3x. Collecting from stewie, Jerome and Peter one more time, then will be two hours short of next collection.
Waiting to see how many offerings drop at next collection before deciding how to proceed. Not really sure I want to spend clams on this, especially since there will most likely be another event dropping tonight (wish we were getting a day break so I could finish up some other questlines from the fine arts district).

All three dropped successfully so took a gamble and caved and rushed them and got last 3. Yay! But I’m not too pleased now to se that an hour and a half after the event was to end it is still live. Hmm, is that just me?

I messaged to tinyco that I spent clams to rush event but it was still live and maybe they could refund me the clams. AND THEY DID!!!! WooHoo!!! And the event is extended until tomorrow (19th) at noon pst. Here is the actual response:
“Road to Bollywood” has officially been extended until January 19 at 12PM PST! Sorry for the inconvenience, I refunded 12 clams back to your account. They should appear next time you load into your game. Thank you for playing!
