I can’t even get card sharks! Just more freakin’ donuts. 😡 I’m stuck on Phase 3 Pt. 1 since Monday, and it looks like I won’t be getting Pamela. (As a Canadian, that displeases me. 😊)

This is just an echo of what many others have been saying recently. The game isn’t any fun anymore, even for a semi-Premium player like me. It used to be that I could do well on an event, just by grinding and maybe dropping $20 or $30. Now, even grinding and spending that amount of money seems to get me only about halfway through a 4- or 5-week event. I can’t even remember the last event that I thought I was doing well at after two weeks. I can’t afford to spend $100 an event to get that same feeling of satisfaction I used to get before, so I’m pretty much done buying clams at this point. Maybe TinyCo’s model is that it’s better to have 100 people spending 100 bucks, than a thousand people spending 20 bucks. I don’t know, but barring a major change, I think I’ve spent my last dollar on this game.

I can’t say I’ve been playing the game since the beginning, but pretty close I think. When I first discovered the game, I installed it and found that I was right in the midst of the circus event. I was hooked. Back then events didn’t happen back to back to back to back. There was time to build the city, there was a story to follow, there were districts to unlock. I was happy to play the game as it was, but I looked forward to events as a welcome diversion. Something interesting, a little out of the ordinary, following a theme that I could enjoy where my hard work was rewarded by getting funny skins and new characters that could help me along the way. Sometimes it was a challenge to make it to the end, but normally I would finish.
The game we are playing now is nothing the same. Now the events *are* the game. Skins or characters earned are rendered useless as soon as an event is done, rarely to be seen again. I can’t remember the last time I finished an event. They always start out well, but before I know it, it’s Week 5 and I’m still grinding through Week 2 or 3, losing any hope of seeing the end and becoming increasingly frustrated. This game is supposed to be a “building” style game, but it’s really not – previous success does little to assist when each event basically starts from scratch. The excuse is to not exclude new players, but I know that if I just start a game, I shouldn’t expect to have the same progress as someone that has been playing longer. I know that someone else will have an advantage, but over time, eventually I will be the one with the advantage.
This martial arts event is the first one that I haven’t even really tried. What’s the point? I’m tired of being frustrated. Just like any addiction, this one began by feeling good, but now I just continue out of habit. I don’t purchase clams, but I used to watch advertisements to pay for my free game. I made a conscious choice to even stop doing that, because I don’t feel that I’m getting what I pay for anymore.
I’m sorry, because I know WTD posts are where anger and venting are supposed to go, but this one is really just sad. I used to enjoy playing, but I almost feel like I’ve been driven away. I have never expected to get everything that’s on offer in the game, but nowadays there is way too much effort for too little return.
Thank you for this site RT, Bunny, Alyssa, and everyone else that contributes. Without you I wouldn’t have had even half the progress. I know you put a lot of work into it, and I appreciate it. I will likely continue playing, but from now on it will probably be as a casual player only, checking in now and then to see if the latest event catches my fancy or if TC has finally found a way to acknowledge their veteran supporters.

This was as to read, as it sounds like you really don’t want to stop playing but feel TinyCo’s like for constant events have pushed you to the brink of doing just that. It’s a shame you decided to take a break during
Kung Pow Quahig as this has been a much improved event. Maybe having that break will see you refresh for whatever comes next or it will see you move on. I hope whichever path you take makes you happy. And thanks for the kind words to us all.

Just started act 3, yes..act 3. lol
So Peter and Quag. both dropped offerings for the dragon when I needed them on a task. But now that I don’t, the drops stopped and only way to get em is through the new buildings from act 3. Oh boy. This is it for me. I tried hard to get both guys on a 7 day timer, but after this event the game will be removed forever. I will be around in Tapped out tho, amazing game that is.

If you’re still trying to collect envelopes for Golden Dragon the characters should still have their drops, please message TinyCo regarding this.

Like many others, I’ve realized they don’t really care if we complain about drop rates. They want it to be hard so we’ll spend money, and I used to be OK with that. I would buy clams when it was something I thought was fun, but this event is the worst I’ve seen. There is zero point in freaking out trying to get special characters and skins, they are utterly useless when the event is over. I’ve had Mr. Miyagi in storage since I maxed his level out, and he does Nothing for this event. He’s in this event, and it’s no advantage whatsoever. WTD?
Until now, I haven’t been able to go a day without logging in. I find it easier to do that everyday, and if Tinyco continue to put out a steaming pile of crap, they will lose a paying customer. I wish they cared.

Well in addition to everyone else’s what the deuce on fight contracts being suddenly epic rare items, I will also add what the deuce for Johnny’s black cobra Qi outfits! What the deuce! I had both buildings that drop them prior to starting his timer and still have only 4/18 with just 3 days left on my timer. What the deuce indeed. Once again tiny Co why do you make everything rare in timed characters in timed events? Just adds insult to injury!

I had to defeat Mr Miyagi without him to unlock him. Mr Miyagi isn’t in my game anymore? Daniel doesn’t even have any drops; he fights Nerds but right now that’s pretty much too little too late!

No you had defeat Mr Washee Washee to get Daniel. Mr Miyagi is the Phase 2 battle and Daniel is very helpful when it comes to defeating him.

Oops, yes sorry, I got confused and forgot it was Mr Washee Washee in the last phase. I was stuck at More Mojo in the Dojo Pt 2 for many days (because I had to keep Dojo Peter attacking nerds instead of samurai, to unlock Daniel) so it seems like ages ago now! I’ve only just got past that part and see Mr Miyagi has become available to fight!

Only if you can manage to get the required 450 Samurai Bandannas. I have only 8 now because l needed Grabby Sushi Bar since I have only 2 zori. Out of 4 characters who drop fighting contracts, in the past 10 hours I’ve only gotten THREE❗️ THREE‼️ If I hadn’t of saved some from last night by not fighting nerds I wouldn’t have enough to finish fighting a samurai to finally get Grabby Sushi Bar and move on to Mojo in the Dojo pt. three. WTD‼️‼️

1.37 update led to the app crashing on launch on my iPad. Had to delete and reinstall the app to start from a clean cache.

I’ll echo the sentiment on contract drops. They started out fine, probably around 70% but now they’re dropping only 25% of the time. Which sucks because we need them more than ever.
It would be sweet at the very least to have Tai-Jitsu Lois drop contracts. I’m holding out hope she’ll drop something once the 3rd act launches.

I messaged Tiny Co to ask if they could POSSIBLY make the fight contact drops ANY worse. At the rate I’m getting them, if I get up every four hours during the night, I can MAYBE defeat one samurai a day…well, if I ONLY attack the samurais with the contacts that is. I just wish I could be falling behind QUICKER this event…what the deuce Tiny Co?!

Nerds not counting for me either. I cleared 6 so far and only need 2. Stuck at 1/2 when should be 6/2!!! Actually kind of glad to see it’s a global issue.

Hi! A noticed this problem in my game, but it solved when i clicked on the main questline’s “clear nerd” button, and when the game choosed the Nerd for cleaning, it counted. Before I choosed randomly on the field for cleaning it didn’t counted. Sorry for my bad english.

What the deuce, why only character costumes, and no characters for clams?! 270 for a costume is already what i consider over priced, but NO premium character yet?! Makes me feel like tinyco would rather we wasted clams on speeding up characters or purchasing potions. Premium player griefs lol

This game gets very expensive. On clams and on characters that’s why players. Don’t. Play often you have to lower the characters on clams
