Happy Chinese New Year, Addicts!!
Ok so I’m a lil late, shhh… but look! Quahog has got its very own Chinese dragon ready to welcome in the Year of the Rooster and we have the opportunity to persuade him to stay!
With this new Kung Pow Quahog event, we also get some new Characters. Like Golden Dragon!
Let’s take a look at what Golden Dragon can do in our silly lil games.
Golden Dragon is a Character added during Kung Pow Quahog 2017. As with (almost) all Characters in TQFS in order to unlock him you’ll have to collect lots of STUFF.
Note: To find the full CHARACTER Golden Dragon, as opposed to the battle version, you’ll need to look in the shop. Here you can find his unlock requirements.
Requires
75 Red Envelopes: Attack Golden Dragon boss
(RT has made a detailed post regarding the boss battle, which you can find here.)
He does come with a Questline, Stay Gold, Goldenboy, more on that in another post.
Golden Dragon does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn $$$ and XP. He also has a task that always drops 
Revive Potions.
Let’s take a look at some of Golden Dragon’s tasks:

**Note: Within an Event, tasks may change and vary as the Phases come and go. So some of these tasks will be temporary. Others may be one time use. Some will stick around even after the Event. We won’t know until the Event ends.

So I’m not really sure what’s going on. One day the dragon is floating around but the message popped up when I clicked on it and today it’s gone and there’s no option for me to buy it either… I’m confused

The Kung Pow Quagog event ended over a wee ago, as did any chance unlock the dragon. I’m confused why you still had it in your game until now.

I just require 1 more red envelope but need to defeat him at max level with gold (i.e. 5 hours each drop) to get it. Maybe the same thing happened to most people? That’s pretty tough (impossible actually); would be nice if he’d rest now so that I could go for the 1X level again as soon as possible – hope there’s enough time left in this event to get that final envelope!

Max level, gold, arghhh, the mix no one wants. But with over 3 days left, time for him to time out and start again if you don’t get the 5X, but you won’t have much time use his Revuve Potion drop. To be honest anything after getting the Golden Dragon is a bonus for me. He was the top prize for me as I love dragons.

My original dragon disappeared once I unlocked the Golden Dragon. Did TC fix it so that once he’s unlocked you only have one dragon in your town?

If you’ve unlocked Golden Dragon character you no longer need the Dragon Boss. So looks like TinyCo fixed an issue where he was out staying his welcome 😀😀😀

I unlocked the Golden Dragon about half an hour ago. The strange thing is that I now have 2 of them in my town. One of them is mine (who is on a task at the moment), the other is the original Golden Dragon (whom I can still collect from). I wonder if you will still need to collect from the Golden Dragon in the final week (for some reason)? Otherwise, why would I still need to collect when I already have the Golden Dragon now? 🤔

I’m same, Dragon twins hanging around in my Quahog, buildings still dropping resources but character drops ar gone. I’m happy with my lot, now I’ve got Golden Dragon, anything else in final phase will just be a bonus

i must be doing something wrong .. but now i have all 3 buildings that drop offerings and i was able to reach level 4 twice so i guess i can get him in the upcoming 8 days …

Having all the buildings will help, but I think the difference is having Billy Blanks, as he has drop tasks as well.

Once again a thing that makes this a good and maybe even great event. The golden dragon has always drop for revive potions wich is otherwise a premium item. If you manage to unlock him before phase4 (wich shouldn’t be too hard) you can get up to 7 revive potions wich is worth over 300 clams.
