Where the Hell….? Gigg-Olo Quagmire & Big Pete Peter

In this lil game of ours, it is easy to get so focused into collecting items or unlocking characters that we tend to forget the lil things that make the game what it is. Like Where the HELL did these items come from and why are they in our games?

With the new Undercover Gigg-Olo event in town we’re getting to see some new characters. But just where have we seen these characters before? Well in the Family Guy TV show of course. Gigg-olo Quagmire and Big Pete Peter made an appearance in a rather strange episode of the show. So join me on a journey down memory lane as we stroll through their Family Guy appearance, but I have to be honest and say for me the episode was one of those recent ones that just seem random and jumbled, something definately has been lost since the early years.

American Gigg-olo – Season 15, Episode 3

Quagmire’s a little down on his luck, lay offs and strikes at the airport have seen his pilot wings truly clipped, and his wallet shrinking.

A chance run in with a bachelorette party, who mistake him for a stripper and shower him with cash, gets Quagmire thinking that he’s found the perfect way to earn some extra dollars and he sets off down his new career path as a stripper.

Not wanting to share his new profession with the guys, he sneaks around until Peter gets suspicious and catches him in the act.

Peter accuses Quagmire of selling himself, which Quagmire furiously denies, but it’s not long before that’s exactly what he’s doing after getting an offer that’s too good to refuse. And there we have it Gigg-olo Quagmire.

And it’s all coming up roses until a ‘customer’ refuses to pay. And whose Quagmire gonna call? Well not the Ghostbusters that’s for sure. No he calls Peter to come pick him up but is so impressed when Peter persuades the ‘customer’ to pay up he shares his earnings with him. And voila Big Pete Peter, or just plain old Pimp Peter is born.

But it’s not long before Peter starts to get greedy and out of control, and Quagmire finds himself burnt out and exhausted. Begging Peter for a break is futile and only sees things getting worse, as Peter treats Quagmire like dirt.

This continues until one day when Peter gets a taste of his own medicine when one of the ‘customers’ he’s found for Quagmire turns on him also. Realising what he’s been putting his friend through they decide to dissolve their abusive partnership and just be friends.

The only thing worrying Quagmire now is how he’s going to pay his bills again as he wonders out loud how long the pilot strike will go on for. Only for Peter to pipe up that the strike was over a month ago, and didn’t Quagmire get the message he’d sent telling him so. I guess that will be a no then, oops.

So there you have it, the origins of Gigg-Olo Quagmire and Big Pete Peter. Do you remember this episode? Or have you never seen it? Do you now plan to watch it?
