It’s Morphin’ Time!! Triceratops!!
With this new Mighty Morphin’ Griffin Rangers event, we also get some New Characters. Characters like Blue Ranger!
Let’s take a look at what Blue Ranger can do in our silly lil games.
Blue Ranger is a Character added during Week 3 of Mighty Morphin’ Griffin Rangers 2017. As with (almost) all Characters in TQFS in order to unlock him you’ll have to collect lots of STUFF.
First though, you had to find him in the event area next to the Ice Cream Van. It costs $10 & takes 10s to unlock. When you unlock him this will trigger his 7 day timer! Note that you will be prompted to unlock him at Ranger Danger Pt. 2.
With him now visible next to the Ice Cream Van, you can tap on the Lock Icon to see just what is required to bring him into your game.
Requires
7 Science Exams (Uncommon): Defeat Earth Kaiju OR Pterodactyl DinoZord Find A Place To Nest
7 Juice Bar Smoothies (Uncommon): Defeat Flame Kaiju OR Tyrannosaurus DinoZord Walk Around Carefully
5 Stuffed Triceratops Toys (Uncommon): Defeat Water Kaiju
4 Angel Grove Notebooks (Rare): Herbert Buy Candy For Kids OR Yellow Ranger’s Greenhouse (Smoothie Bar)
5 Triceratops Power Morpher (Rare): Get Clearing Blue Ranger Cosplayers OR Kaiju Stunt Show Stage (Smoothie Bar)
Once you had all his Requirements checked off, the Unlock Icon appeared over his head. Tapping on it brought him into your game as a Character.
He does come with a Questline, Feeling Blue, more on it in a later post.
Blue Ranger is also part of a clam collection, The Power Rangers. Collection of all characters will award 10 
Clams.
Blue Ranger does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn $$$ & XP. He can also combine with the Triceratops Zord to give it more energy!
Let’s take a look at some of Blue Ranger’s Tasks:

**Note: Within an Event, tasks may change and vary as the Phases come and go. So some of these tasks will be temporary. Others may be one time use. Some will stick around even after the Event. We won’t know until the Event Ends.

Got three days left and need one more Power Morpher (which drops when blue guys are cleared) and one of the things Herbert collects. I have neither of the buildings but didn’t need any of them either. Looks extremely achievable to me. Although I delayed triggering the timer until I had about 12 blue crystals saved. But sad that the white one is a buy only… ah well, better than nothing, two more characters to stuff into Tan Lines and forget about 😀

How in the world am I supposed to beat the water kaiju when I need power ranger joe or blue power ranger to beat him BUT I can’t get those characters without beating the water kaiju??

8 defeats of the water kaiju and only 1 triceratops toy dropped. No toys dropping until Joe is unlocked and added to the blue zord to win. Seems awfully fishy. Here I am with 5 hours left on my timer and still need 4 triceratops toys and my water kaiju is sleeping for 6 more hours so I guess no blue ranger for me! Had all the other needed items for blue ranger in 3 days time just these darned toys that don’t drop. Back to the good old “uncommon” drops I see!

Anyone else having trouble with drops for the Power Morpher?
I’ve not gained enough toy sharks to buy the building that can help with these but it says they also drop as a ‘rare’ item when fighting blue cosplay rangers. I’ve had Goldar Brian on these guys for 3 days collecting on average 4 times a day and but not a single Power Morpher has dropped.
I’ve messaged TinyCo but just wondered if others have seen an issue here.

That’s opposite of what I found, they dropped almost every time from clearing Blue Rangers, hope TinyCo can help you with this.

Got a reply back from TinyCo about 6hrs after I messaged them and instead of the usual “drops are behaving as intended” response I’ve had in the past I got a much nicer “thanks for reporting, we’ve forwarded this info to the team to look into this issue. sorry for any inconvenience” message
since they replied to me I’ve had 2 drops from 3 collections so that’s a result.

This is infuriating! Have defeated the Water Kaiju on 4 occasions now and not one Stuffed Triceratops has dropped. I need 5 of them to unlock the Blue Ranger with only 30 hours remaining. Guess this is the common problem with pay-to-progress apps. Ruining the fun of the game.

How is it that you need to defeat water kaiju to unlock both blue ranger and joe blue ranger? You need one of them just to attack water kaiji

You can attack without Blue Ranger Joe or the Blue Ranger, I keep highlighting this in the Zord posts but players are still missing the fact you can just create the base energy Zord. For this it’s the basic Triceratops DinoZord,which can attack and defeat the 2 Heart Water Kaiju. Basically collect 4 blue crystals, go to the Power command Centre, tap on the Blue Zord, then tap on Combine, agree to using the 4 crystals and voila you’ll have a Triceratops DinoZord available, it will only have 3 energy, so you can only attack the 2 Heart Water Kaiju. Then you let the Water Kaiju time out and return, during which time you collect another 4 blue crystals, then attack again at the 2 heart level. Do this until you get the 2 blue spray paints for Joe, then you can start combining him to get a stronger Triceratops DinoZord

I am confused as hell. In order to fight the water Kaiju you need Joe or The Blue Ranger. But to finish the Blue Ranger you need to fight the water Kaiju to get the toy. Joe needs the 2 cans of hairspray which you only get by defeated the same Kaiju. How are we suppose to accomplish that?? Is it that I am missing something?

No way of knowing what will drop in Phase 4 until it hits our game, sorry can’t answer your question better.

Yeah I saw that, but you asked if it would be a premium buy or in a mystery box and I was saying we’ve no way knowing that until Phase 4 goes live.
