5/4 UPDATE: It looks like TinyCo have removed Clubber Lang’s task to Clear Middleweight boxers, trying to get verification of what’s happening, but my advice if you bought him for this reason is please message TinyCo. Also note they’ve sorted Clubber Lang’s Vodka drop, he now drops 2 Vodkas always!!!

Now hold on there a minute. Are you SURE you want that? With all these cool Rocky Times in Quahog limited time event items in the game, it is very easy to get carried away. Before you know it, Clamshell Shock! All gone!
So before you go ahead and buy Clubber Lang with your hard-earned Clams, here’s a few things you might want to know about him.

- Fully tasked with Questline

- Part of the Boxing Baddies FaceSpace Set, which is worth 15 Clams if you complete it.
- Will help you greatly towards getting the Ivan Drago character.
CONS:
- Frakkin 270 CLAMS!!! It’s a lot, especially if you’re not a Rocky fan
- Won’t be useful after the Event
MATH OF IT

I wanted to give you an overall idea of how he COULD benefit your game play. And it’s simple you can use Clubber Lang on one of his two useful tasks, either the 4hr task to drop vodka or the 6hr task to clear Middleweight Boxers. So you’ll need to decide which area you want to use him on.
You can have him on his 4hr task Get Punch Drunk which will always drops 2 Vokdas. So you could get up to 12 vodkas every 24hrs doing this, and these vodkas will help you attack the Ivan Drago boss at the various levels available. These attacks are the only way to get Russian Vitamns, need to unlock the Ivan Drago character.
Or
You can have him on his 6hr task Go Toe To Toe With Middleweight Boxers which will clear Middleweight Boxers, and get you a chance of 1x Milk dropping. So you could get 4 chances of a Milk drop every 24hrs doing this. Milk is needed to Fight at the Quahog City Music Hall, you need to do this in order to get the Headgear needed for buying buildings from Adrian’s Pet Store in this phase.
Or
You can mix and match the abive tasks, using him to get you drops of both Milk and Vodka.
So his usefulness is obvious from the above, but is he essential, well technically no, as Boxer Peter can fight the Middleweight Boxers and there will be 2 buildings that drop vodka, but these are the final 2 items to buy in this Phase of Adrian’s Pet Store, so they aren’t going to be easy to get. So yes there are other ways to get the drops but you’re going to go a lot slower than you would if you buy him. But hey there’s nothing wrong with that, especially if you’re not a fan of Rocky.
Final Thought:
Personally, I passed on him on him as I’m not a big fan of Rocky, got no interest in boxing or boxers, and finally I decided when this event started it would be a freemium event for me, unless Boxer Stewie was available to buy outright. But since Boxer Stewie is in a mystery box I’m sticking to my freemium plan. And yes I know this Phase will be a slow grind due to this, I’ve had Peter clear 2 Middleweight Boxers with 0 Milk drops, so I’m not expecting to get anywhere fast this phase. I’ll grind away and see where I end up. But if you’re a big fan of Rocky, this is probably a good investment, you’ll get a full character who will help you greatly in getting a 2nd character, Ivan Drago. So Addicts the decision is yours! Will you pull no punches and throw 270 clams in the ring, or have you thrown in the towel on premiums in this event like I have?
With it being part of a Limited Time Event, just make sure you make up your mind as once the event is over it is most likely they will be gone. In the end it’s your call. What you buy and what you don’t buy is your own personal choice we can only guide you on the facts and let you know what we did and what we think. But don’t purchase it until YOU are sure. I bought him because I NEED Ivan Drago, the middleweight boxers task was obviously a glitch, He didn’t even have his own animation. It was the
Boxer Peter fighting lightweight boxers animation. Altough I don’t get how could have they mess it up like that but whatever.

Yeah I think main benefit of buying him will to be get Vodka for Ivan Dargo, but can’t afford to have premium items doing something then take it away after players have bought it. However TinyCo seem to be addressing that in their support responses to players who have complained.

Yeah I think that if they made this mistake in the first place don’t get it out of the game, leave it in and get an animation for it. Altough no one would be buying the mystery boxes then, but still. Bummer

Tinyco has fixed the drop rate he now drops 2 thank you tinyco. Still annoyed about not clearing boxers but tinyco has clarified this for me and we have come to an agreement plus they fixed the drop rate.

Messaged Tinyco, they split the difference and credited 50%. Liked Mr T so I guess it was a fair deal. But still hard to use just Peter to fight boxers

I splurged and got him only because I like Mr. T. No interest in the vodka guy at all. Not really into boxing, although I like the punching bag games. So I can relax, I even got Rocky at no cost with about an hour to spare on the timer. I don’t like Chris’s costume so not sure if I want to spend barbells on it unless it turns out that will mean I’ll have a better chance to get Cleveland’s costume (700 barbells, not likely at the moment).
