Hey there Clammers!
Getting a lot of comments still regarding the continued disabling of Clam TV in many of our games, so thought I’d try to bring you a helpful post that will allow some of you to maybe access the videos that helped earn you some daily free clams.
Ok, so basically some of us were having crashing issues when Clam TV was appearing in our games, TinyCo looked at the issue and pushed a fix but have not re-activated the video watching option of Clam TV in all our games as yet. But I’ve discovered that doesn’t mean you can’t watch the videos and earn those few precious clams, because if you have the little Clam TV icon appearing in your games, you all know what it looks like but here’s a reminder just in case.
Then if you click it and get the screen below there’s a good chance you can start watching videos again.
And here’s how, basically as you can see the option to simply Watch Now on the left is grayed out so you can’t select it.
But instead I want you to select the option on your right, See Offers.
Nw you will see a list of offers that can earn you clams, now if you scroll down to the bottom of the offers page, you’ll see a More Offers button, tap that.
And you’ll see another page with more offers, keep going through the pages using the More Offers button, mine currently has 4 pages and in the 3rd and 4th page among the App offers I see Videos to watch which come with a 1 clam reward, basically what we got previously.
Simply click where it says 1 clam and the video will play like normal, once you’ve viewed it close the video screen and you can watch another video. You can see from the image above they are easily identified by the word Video in a red box. I’ve tested this the last 4 days, and have been able to watch 7 videos each day.
Now where things differ is I didn’t get my clams instantly, instead it took up to an hour for them to appear in my game on Sunday & Monday, however yesterday and today I did a force close after watching all 7 videos and when I reopened the app I got my clams immediately.
And the only issue I’ve encountered so far is I’m awarded 6 clams instead of 7 but the way I see it is 6 free clams a day is better than 0 free clams, and just today after logging in a few hours after watching the videos and getting my 6 clams, I received another 1 clam. So I got 7 for 7.
So that’s it, basically if you are seeing the See Offers screen you can watch videos again, if you don’t have the Clam TV Icon or the new See Offers screen I’m afraid you’ll need to wait for TinyCo to reactivate things, and I’m sorry but we’ve no indication when that might be just now.
Now regarding the other offers, we’ve also had a lot of comments about these new offers for clams, so I’ve also been testing that out, so look out for a post in the next few days with my thoughts and findings. But in the meantime let us know if this helps you to start watching videos for clams again by completing the poll below and try to remember to Keep Clam and Carry On.

I first started playing this game on my phone sometime in June/July 2016 but gave it up a year later because it kept crashing and I ended up missing too many of those limited quest deadlines (Ghostbusters etc) as a result. I have just started playing this game again sometime around last month using multiple devices, i.e. on my laptop (via Facebook Gameroom) and new phone, and things have been going pretty smoothly, except that the clam TV (non-functioning at first) suddenly disappeared about 2 weeks ago when I played FG: TQFS on my PC. About a week later and to this day (two days ago, to be precise), I am also unable to play this game on my phone because the Data Error sign keeps popping up every time I reload it, even after restarting my phone and even when I am not playing the game via Facebook Gameroom on my PC. This is particularly distressing for me, because the clam TV is still available when I play the game on my new phone (basically, it’s my only source of free clams), and now I cannot even load it. That being said, is it possible that the data error message I keep getting on my phone is related to the clam TV? Should I uninstall and reinstall the game on my new phone so I can access it again?

This worked like a charm for me RT for 18 videos! I kept scrolling, watching videos, and then hard closed and got my clams.

I was able to watch about 6 or 7 videos using the method above but I received NO clams for my time and efforts. Thanks TinyCo 💩

They don’t always drop immediately, it can take up to a few hours, although force closing the app can sometimes sped up the process

I had the dual window shown above before, but I would NEVER get credit & would have to msg TinyCo to have them credit me. Such a hassle, so I stopped tapping the ClamTV altogether. Then it disappeared for a looooong while, and is now back, but JUST the old-style way w/video watching. *shrug*
What’s interesting to me, is that I’ve had NO problems getting credit for the various ads, etc on OTHER games (& it’s using the same ad co, cuz these are games I’ve discovered thru the FG:TQFS ad thingy AND I’ve seen offers FOR FG:TQFS in these other games! lol I also have NEVER been able to access my FB friends thru FG:TQFS, but no problems in other mobile games. Makes me wonder if the 2 things are connected…

I rarely have videos on any pages and I’m sick of most of the other offers being misleading scams. Why do business with people like that?

Has anyone actually taken up one of the “offers” to obtain the free clams and does it work? There was an offer the other day to install a Gummy Drop game for 11 clams, which I did, but the clams never materialised?

Most I’ve ever saw is 7, so it’s probably similar to Clam TV and it varies in players games. Some have never had Clam TV yet.

It varies in my game, just appears, sometimes every day, other times it vanishes for days then reappears.

the problem is …..the videos use too much data to play, if the advertisers quit trying to show you everything, then maybe we can watch again.(video ads with smaller data files)

The Clams video issue has been a problem for many years now. Most of the time slow Internet is is an issue. A server issue is also an issue. TinyCo is finally addressing this problem. Wow. Talk about clueless. How many players have complained to them. A lot I imagine. Once a problem is fixed, another one pops up in the latest update. What does one expect from a free game. Paying players should expect better but I doubt if they do. This is just my viewpoint and my opinion and experiences from playing this game. Also Thank you for all your help in explaining the issues and making this game fun and a little easier to play. 🙂

i hit more offers 5 times to see all pages and saw no watch video options. thoughts?

You might need wait see if offers rotate, or videos maybe aren’t going to appear in your offers, sorry!

I just want to say that the offers have been amazing to me so far and I wanted to offer some insight in case people are running into issues. Something good to know is that right below the “More Offers’ button, there is a link that says ‘Missing clams?’ If you click on it you will be taken to a page that lets you view all your current offers in progress and the requirements to fulfill them (this is fantastic because you can’t view the offers through the app unless the TV is around…I copied this website address to my internet browser so I could see it there). Honestly, about half the offers that I completed were awarded automatically, but the other half did not. I used the missing clams link and submitted an inquiry with a screenshot uploaded from the app/game in question. Every time I’ve done this, I have gotten my clams soon after. So far, especially with the mini event not being demanding, I have managed to eek out over 800 clams from offers… so I can vouch they work quite well (Mobile strike and Age of War took a while, but well worth it). I just pretend the new app/game I am playing is a FGTQFS mini-game for clam rewards =)

FYI over 1,150 clams earned from just the app offers now (not doing surveys or paid offers myself)! Heads up, I have been rejected my reward for Lord’s Mobile even tho I completed an inquiry with screenshot, that is the only offer that I completed where I was rejected clams.

How do you earn the clams? I just watched 7 videos, there were no more to choose from so i hit the ‘X’ and it closed it but no clams were awarded????

Hi I pointed out in the post they don’t get awarded immediately like Clam TV, it can take couple hours but I found out by accident if you do a force close of the app and open it again the clams dropped in, so this may help you avoid the wait and get them quicker. Let me know

Do you know if they add more at a certain time or if it’s a rolling 24 hours from whenever you view them or completely random?

In my game once I’ve cleared them all, I don’t see any more until the next day. But at least it’s a way to see some until things are back to normal.
