Wet Hot Quahog 101: Camp Wars

So…. ummmm… HI!

Yes, I have been not really here as of late. (Though I am mostly behind scenes as of late anyway just pulling stats for Russian and Lotty.) I apologize for the delay in getting details to Russian this past Event. My illness took me over and put me out of commission for a bit. I am back, sort of. Always fighting. Never giving up. Always trying to do what I can to help. Excuse my posts as I am still medicated and may stumble or not make sense (did I ever?) in my posts.

Anywho… CAMP WARS. Let’s discuss this feature for this Event that TinyCo tossed at us. What all is involved, how to get anywhere with it, how to make sense of it… and all that jazz. 🙂

WHAT ARE THE CAMP WARS?

This is just another feature within the game that allows you to use Characters and random Campers from the Infirmary to battle competing Camps “across the lake” to get Materials you will need for game play. It will require some strategy to succeed.

You will essentially try and send x amount of YOUR Campers from YOUR Campsite across the bridge to the other side before they successfully send the same amount from their side to yours.

WHAT DO I NEED TO HAVE CAMP WARS?

Campers, Leaders, and Water Balloons.

Campers: can be unlocked in the Infirmary.
  Camp Prankster
Popular Girl
Campfire Man
Schpupel Player

Leaders: can be created or purchased via Clams
Peter
Teen Quagmire
Counselor Andy

Water Balloons (Uncommon): Random Questlines OR Jerome Fill Water Balloons OR Bonnie Stockpile Water Balloons OR Okay Care Package OR Premium Care Package OR Clam Buy

GETTING SET UP

You first need to “Unlock” the Campers in the Infirmary. You can see more info on them HERE.

The first one you can unlock will be the Camp Prankster, He will be prompted by Welcome to Camp Griffin Pt. 1. He will be “Free” to unlock by just going to the Infirmary, tapping GET under his image (#1 of 4), then tap GET again on his information screen. The screen will show some twinkles, then you will see his stats update. At this time you will also be able to see what it will take now to Level him up.

During Welcome to Camp Griffin Pt 2, you will be prompted to Defend Camp Griffin aka start Camp Wars. Go over to the Camp Wars Area (just to the lower right of the Event area, wood bridge between the two camps over the water). Tap on the Water Cannon Tower with the Camp Griffin Badge over it.

The information screen will appear showing all the Campers that are currently available for you to use to attack the opposing Camp Site, the Leaders that will use the Water Cannon, the Team you select (as you tap on each one), the possible Rewards for the Camp War, and the required Water Balloons it will take for the current Camp War.

Using the 3 Balloons you were rewarded from Pt. 1, Select the Camp Prankster as Your Team, then tap on START to begin the Camp War.

NOW WHAT DO I DO?

In order to give you an idea of what is going to be happening, as there is a LOT going on once you start, I will first give you some detail what you’re seeing.

Once you hit START, the screen will go to a scene showing what current STREAK you are on, the battling Campgrounds (Camp Griffin & Camp Firewood), the amount of Opposing Campers needed to win the Camp War (starts at 4/4), the Level you are currently on (starts at Level 1), the amount of “Lightning Power” you will need to Upgrade to the next Level (Cost is 15 “Lightning Power” to go to Level 2), the Current Level you are at by just waiting (starts at 50 “Lightning Power”), and the Current Camper(s) Participating in the War along with their required level of “Lightning Power” needed to “launch” them to attack.

HUH?

I know, I know… a LOT of info, so let’s look at each part separately and in a bit more detail. Lol

NUMBERS ABOVE CAMPGROUNDS

You will notice the numbers above each Campground. The first Camp War will show 4/4. This is the amount of Campers that need to cross to the other side.

This means that in order to WIN the Camp War, 4 of YOUR Campers (Camp Griffin) need to make it across the Bridge walk way and into the opposing Campsite (Camp Firewood) without being stopped by their Campers.

Now if 4 of THEIR Campers make it to your side before your Campers stop them, they will win the Camp War.

Here are the Camper Requirements I saw in my game so far…

Streak 1- Training:
4 Campers

Streak 2- Training Part 2:
6 Campers

Streak 3- Man The Cannons!:
7 Campers

Streak 4- Watch Out For Coach!:
7 Campers

Streak 5- The Battle Continues:
7 Campers

HOW DO I SEND MY CAMPERS TO THE OTHER CAMPSITE?

If you watch the lil “Lightning Power” meter in the center of the screen, you will watch it fill up from 0 to 50 “Lightning Power”. As soon as it hits 50 “Lightning Power”, you will see the Camp Prankster button (who is set at 50″Lightning Power”) light up. That means you can “release” one to try to make it across the Bridge to the other Campsite.

You can keep doing this over and over and over to continue trying to get your Campers to the other side.

WHAT IS WITH THE LIGHTNING POWER/UPGRADES?

As you unlock more Campers from the Infirmary, you will need the “Lightning Power” to be higher to release them to try to go to the other Campsite too.

Here are the different levels of each of the Campers require to be released…

  Camp Prankster:
50 “Lightning Power”

Popular Girl:
100 “Lightning Power”

Campfire Man:
200 “Lightning Power”

Schpupel Player:
300 “Lightning Power”

The Camp Wars start out at Level 1 and 50 “Lightning Power”, meaning you can only release Camp Pranksters. In order to release the others, Level Up.

You can Level Up by using the “Lightning Power” on the center screen to Level Up INSTEAD of sending a Camper. For instance, as soon as it hits 15 “Lightning Power”, you can Upgrade to the next Level.

Here are the Levels as I saw them in my game for the Camp Wars…

Level 1 Upgrade
Cost: 15 “Lightning Power”
“Lightning Power” Level Increased To: 150 “Lightning Power”

Level 2 Upgrade
Cost: 40 “Lightning Power”
“Lightning Power” Level Increased To: 250 “Lightning Power”

Level 3 Upgrade
Cost: 60 “Lightning Power”
“Lightning Power” Level Increased To: 350 “Lightning Power”

Level 4 Upgrade/MAX
Cost: 90 “Lightning Power”
“Lightning Power” Level Increased To: 450 “Lightning Power”

So as you can see, the more you Upgrade the more Campers can be released including the higher level/damage inflicting ones that have a better chance of making it across and being stopped.

Use the Upgrades wisely. You may or may not need to Upgrade so fast if you are winning the Camp Wars just fine OR if you have not unlocked all the Campers available to use. That “Lightning Power” bar really does fill up quickly.

HOW DO CAMPERS MAKE IT TO THE OTHER SIDE?

This is where it is tricky. A visual glitch/Slowness is making it so you are NOT seeing either sides Campers released in a timely manner. (TinyCo is aware and working on this.) So it may take a hot minute for you to actually see them coming out of your Camp or the opposing Camp.

What SHOULD happen is as soon as you tap on that Highlighted Camper Icon, a Camper should **POOF** be released and you should see them start walking the bridge. As they meet other Campers from opposing side on the Bridge, you will see them “attack” each other. They will either be defeated and **POOF** disappear OR be successful and make it to the other Campsite.

IF they make it to the other site, the number on the opposing Campsite should go down (4/4, 3/4, 2/4, etc). Again… a glitch is hitting this part too (at least on my android device). So I am not seeing if my guys are even making it across or not, so … I just keep tapping and sending them on over.

WHAT ABOUT THE CANNON AND LEADERS?

This is an “extra” element to the Camp Wars. As you unlock Characters (or Clam Purchase) you will have an option to add another person to the Camp War Battle. A “Leader”.

Here is a list of the Leaders and the “Damage” they will do with the Water Cannon…

Scoutmaster Peter
Range: 20%
Power: 150
Cannon Cool Down: 55

Kid Quagmire
Range: 30%
Power: 200
Cannon Cool Down: 36

Counselor Andy
Range: 45%
Power: 250
Cannon Cool Down: 28

Now as for the Water Cannon, it will basically be used to “push back” the Opposing Campers from making it to YOUR Campsite once fired.

You will need to watch and wait till you see Opposing Campers in the “Red Zone Square” (size and location will vary on Leader being used) on the screen.

Once they are inside of that Target Area (between the white dotted line on one end of Red Zone and Camp Griffin), fire the Cannon (if it’s charged up). You will see it push the Opposing Campers back across the bridge. Depending on the Cannon Power, they will move a lil back or a lot back.

Again, this is tricky with the Visual issues of Campers even showing up… so some may slip past without you knowing.

The Water Cannon will have to recharge, and that will vary by the Leader’s “Cool Down” time.

Also, once the battle is over, the Leader used will have to “Rest Period” before they can be used again. From what I saw in my game, that was 3hrs for Peter.

HOW DO I WIN?

Whoever gets the counter down to ZERO first wins. So you will want to keep sending Campers over n over n over n over to try and get enough across to their side before they make it to yours.

***UPDATE 7/1: Hi guys, I stockpiled a few Water Balloons over last 2 days in order I could test a theory, and please bear in mind this is JUST a theory. I basically suspected the energy meter level seemed to make the difference in whether I won or lost a Camp War, and my suspicions proved correct after I did a few tests battles. Firstly I’m battling with a L2 Camp Prankster, L2 Popular Girl, L1 Campfire Man and Scoutmaster Peter as a Leader. And I only won the tougher Streak 5 and 6 battles and started to push rival campers back towards their camps when I upgraded my energy production button to the MAX, so even although I only needed to upgrade it enough to release Campfire Man at 200 energy in the wars I continued to upgrade it, thus allowing my energy bar to fill quicker and this is what appears for me to have made the difference between being trapped by their campers in my own Camp, and pushing them back and allowing my Campers to invade their camp. On the attempts I only upgraded to the 200 energy bar, I lost, in the battles I upgraded it to Max, I won. I tested this at Streak 5 & Streak 6, and later once I’ve Water Balloons I’m going test it at Streak 7. Is it coincidence or is this the strategy you need, well I can’t say for sure but I think if you’re struggling try it yourself and let me know if it helps, I hope it does – Russian Tigger***

WHAT CAN I GET FROM CAMP WARS?

Your Reward Payout will vary on the Camp Wars. Here is the Rewards I saw in my game as I completed the Camp Wars…

Victory
+15 Firewood
+5 Okay Care Packages

Defeat
+5 Firewood
+1 Okay Care Package

OVERALL QUICK CAP

VIDEO TUTORIAL

Here is a quick TinyCo Video so you can visually see just how the Camp Wars work. Hopefully this will also help out to understand them a bit better.

Let us know if you are unable to view it.

I know this is a LOT of information to take in all at once and it may all still seem a bit daunting, but once you try it a few times… it will get easier and begin to make sense. My best suggestion is to watch for the “POOFS” from Opposing Campsite and kind of judge off of that that a Camper is coming your way and you need to release your Camper to battle them or shoot the Cannon at them to stop them.

What do you think of this feature? Do you notice any odd glitches with this feature in your game I did not note? Any suggestions for fellow Players? Any other suggestions I can send to TinyCo to improve this feature? Let us know.

  1. Anyone beat any of the bonus levels without the chef guy?

  2. So TinyCo finally made an adjustment so now I can win the camp wars. But by now I’m so far behind I cant catch up. Add to that the fact that unlocking presents takes forever.

  3. Did something happen in the game overnight? I just beat Streak 6 in about 10 seconds. I accidentally hit upgrade twice and my energy meter shot up like a rocket and kept filling up immediately after sending any of the campers. They ran to the other side of the bridge before the other camp sent anyone to my side. If it stays like this, I’ll never lose again

    • TinyCo must have made a major adjustment. In over 6 battles I haven’t lost yet. A far cry from a couple of days ago when I couldn’t win no matter what. Too bad I’m so far behind now that I will never catch up.

    • When you get to streak 10 things change. Not sure if their campers are super strong or if they have a cannon now but all my guys just evaporated. After that it was a slow losing battle.

I lost over & over until I unlocked Gene, then victory was mine. But the bonus round is tough, got totally annihilated in it.

  5. Are all the campers available to you? I have a level 3 prankster and girl and a level 2 campfire man. I select them all, but only the prankster “square” highlights. Is that the way it’s supposed to be? Why can’t I send in other campers? What am I doing wrong. I can’t read anything on the screens. The font is terrible.

If you mean in the selection screen you should be able to select all 3 to take into battle. If you mean during the war the Pranskter square will highlight first as the energy meter fills, you need upgrade the energy meter to involve Popular Girl & Campfire Man as they take higher energy amounts to highlight.

      • I am talking about during the war. The only option I ever have, even though I have selected all three freemium players, is the prankster.
I have looked, but I cannot find info on how to upgrade the energy meter.
        Could someone help me out?

        • Well I finally won battle 5!
My energy meter in the camp war is level 1.
Do you upgrade the energy meter through stuff or is it supposed to be automatic?

During the wars it’s the box on the bottom left it says LV 1 and upgrade in it, when your energy meter hits the required cost to upgrade it, tap that instead of a Camper and you’ll upgrade, you need upgrade it to Level 3 to get the 200 energy meter needed for Campfire Man

  6. So after opening over 5+ packages day after day, now July 5th and I still have a locked fire guy. Not 1 single fire guy card in over 20+ packages just to unlock him. Has anyone else experienced this..? Or am i the only one? Help! What should I do? I’m at a point having him might be crucial. & after reading the posts everyone else has already been using the fire guy awhile.

I’d message TinyCo, I’ve only had 2 Campfire Man cards drop and I’ve opened up maybe 40 okay Care packages. But at least I got enough to get him unlocked if not enough to upgrade him

  8. I’m out. Even with the upgrade and the strategies here, I can’t get beat Streak 5. It’s pretty sad that the first week of month long event is so hard, which gives me no hope that the subsequent weeks will be any better. Usually I can finish three weeks and not quite finish the fourth. I guess I’ll sit the rest out and not waste time and data, and see what they come out with in August.

    • Okay here’s what I just noticed and I am really ****** about it. When I use my Peter knock back, it knocks the opposing campers back, but my campers don’t FOLLOW them. They just STAND THERE until the opposing campers run right back to where they were and I’ve made no progress. This is ridiculous. And I’ve sent messages to tinyco and get nothing. This event is a DISMAL failure.

  9. Well in a strange twist after 5 failed attempts I somehow managed to defeat streak 10 despite having the visual glitch where you only see some of the campers. Almost like making random choices worked better than strategical playing based on what I could see.

Now I’ve done the weekly challenge I’m not even attempting another attack till next week shows up, given how hard 10 was I’m guessing there must be some new camper/leader types set to show up next week.

  10. Agree with Angel and kclovesgaming.
Only after unlocking Kid Quagmire i was finally able to beat streak 5 and 6 in a row (before that around 15 tries, no kidding :)).
Also 100% agree with RussianTigger, there is NO master strategy!
    Act according to the situation.

The basic rules on my opinion:
    1. Start sending Camp Pranksters (tap tap tap)
    2. As soon you pushed back, send Popular Girl (make sure to have at least one fighting, also stop sending them as soon you managed to stop the rival campers and send Camp Pranksters or Campfire Man instead, otherwise you will lack of attack power and you simply will be overrun!).
    3. Release Campfire Man at once you manage to stop the rival campers (it’s take precious time to accumulate 200 energy!)
    4. As soon you upgrade to MAX start mixing campers (a lot Camp Pranksters a few Popular Girls and Campfire Man (amount depends on streak level)).
    5. Energy upgrade should be done only then camper energy still recharging (so you don’t waste time) and also not pushed back.
    6. Upgrade campers and/or cannon leader (can be a big difference!).
    7. Don’t forget to use water cannon! Best to use it when having at least 3 or more rival campers in it’s range (but don’t wait too long!).

    Hope it would help someone.

  11. Honestly, Peter was useless for me streak 5+. Once I got Kid Quagmire it was so much easier. I guess because the cannon cd is much lower which really helps.

  12. I finally figured out how to beat streak 5. Wait for kid Quag! That cannon reloads faster and actually does a bit of damage. I used a similar strategy to those mentioned: Send a lot of alternating kids and upgrades until max upgrade, then start mixing campfire man in, ending up with 2 total maybe 3 by the end. I think the key was the kid Quag on the cannon though as this and every other strategy failed for me with Peter. I am now wondering if this was by design since beat Streak 5 is part of the main questline right after kid Quag task. Thanks again for all the helpful posts! I know we complain a lot but it’s about the game, your tips here improve our gameplay loads!! 😀

    • I failed to get past Streak 5 despite almost 8 attempts and using strategies below. Also despite the fact that i have Prankster Level 3, Girl Level 2 and Campfire Man Level 2. Of course just half way to getting Kid Quagmire so going to be stuck awhile longer if I really need him. So frustrating.

  13. Last 3 days I’ve not been able to get enough balloons to fight more than twice per day, keep losing at stage 5 regardless of what I do, and so for said number of days I’ve managed to get about 6 boxes in total – so most of the day not even having boxes to ‘unwrap’ but when I do I’m not getting any of the cards I need to upgrade my characters! Annoying as *, and totally turning me off from even bothering to try..

  14. I followed a combination of the advice posted below and finally beat Streak 5 after 7 failed attempts. I’m posting the strategy I used, but there’s no guarantee that it’ll work for everyone.

For those that are still stuck, this is how I did it:
Level all the way up to MAX without sending out any campers
Use the cannon to push back the campers a bit and release 2 boys and 1 girl
Continuously release 2 boys and 1 girl (I had to do this for at least a couple of minutes)
Use the cannon again to push opposing campers back and release a fire guy immediately afterwards
Keep releasing 2 boys and 1 girl
Once the opposing campers start getting pushed back towards the middle of the bridge, release a couple of fire guys
Eventually, all your campers will get across

This might not work for everyone, but I was able to beat Streak 5 on the first go after following the advice of the other Addicts. It seems that the key to winning is to have a lot of boys to do damage and a lot of girls to defend. All the previous times I lost, I would release a few boys and girls and wasted time by waiting for the bar to fill so I could release a fire guy. On my winning war, I only used three fire guys during the whole thing and mainly focused on releasing boys and girls. It took me a while to win, so a little patience is required.

I hope my strategy helps those who are still stuck and I want to thank the other Addicts for sharing their advice 😃

    • This strategy worked for me! After almost 8 tries, I finally won Streak 5. Was panicking previously when I saw my army could not withstand opposition. But for my latest try, I stuck to releasing 2 guys, 1 girl, and upgrade, continuously and realized Coach does get pushed back and defeated. Need patience.

On a lighter note, I just had 3 drops for extra rare teeth braces, so just need 1 more for Kid Quagmire. Looking brighter now.

I beat Streaks 6 and 7 on the first try using almost the same strategy. Except this time I only upgraded to level 3 before sending out any campers, then kept releasing boys and girls for a while before continuing to upgrade until I hit MAX. Eventually I released a few fire guys and my campers made it all the way across. I used the cannon 3 times during Streak 6 and twice during Streak 7, except I had Kid Quagmire for both of these.

  15. Here is a strategy that worked for me to win Streak 5. I thought I share it, because it seems many are stuck on Streak 5. I have tried other strategies similar to those discussed here but those strategies did not work for me. Again, this was what worked for me, and may not work for others given the apparent randomness in this game.

I had lv 2 prankster, lv 2 girl, and lv 1 fire guy, along with Peter at the canon. My strategy was to “sacrifice” at the beginning and just leveled up to max before sending out any campers. This allowed two opposing campers to immediately get all the way across. After that, then I just use a strategy similar to those posted here already. Send out pranksters and girls and eventually a fire guy here and there. And use Peter’s canon whenever it was powered up. (This is because all the action will be by the Griffin camp at the beginning.) Here is the math logic to back up why this worked for me. By not having anyone oppose the first couple of opposing campers that make it all the way across, I am not “wasting” any hit points on those opposing campers. That is, those opposing campers don’t get to damage any of my guys (as compared to sending out guys first and then leveling up in which case those guys would just die with no benefit while I’m leveling up). I hope that makes sense. Again, I don’t know if this will work for others, but it finally got me past Streak 5. Cheers.

and upgrading to the next power level doesnt make the meter fill up any faster, i don’t know what bunny is talking about. it just allows it to fill up with more energy.

Water balloons have dried up in my game so I am trying to stockpile some for when I have Kid Quagmire to assist which I hope is tomorrow at the latest. I also am not sure there is any strategy to it — just luck of the draw. I was maxing up and alternating campers and still losing fairly regularly.

  23. 8 lost games in a row now. The past four with following the mentioned tactic. That didn’t improve anything for me. I am unable to get anywhere in the game as I am lost from the beginning. With just one package from a lost game, I am at a total standstill.
The only positive thing is that I can soon just quit this event and enjoy the summer instead. Planning to give up on this when I reach 10 lost games in a row.

Sorry the strategy is working for some but not others, I think there’s a flaw in the battles and we aren’t all getting the same scenarios. Gstq10000 Just posted a comment on how he got past Streak 5, maybe try that.

  24. I’ve managed the first 9 level using Andy, L2 Prankster, L2 Popular & L1 Fire. Level 10 seems impossible though until I can upgrade the campers some more, had two goes and was defeated pretty quickly both time so for now I’m just saving Water Balloons.

  25. Thanks for keeping up the helpful posts! I keep trying but I just can’t beat streak 5. I have tried the techniques posted here and on the video. I get beat every time. I have prankster level 2, girl 3, campfire 2 and Peter. When I lose, I usually have a pretty good horde of fighters battling super close to my camp, am maxed on upgrades, and am on about the third cannon refill ready to fire then *poof* 0/7 defeat. Not sure how they get through my mob but they do every time. I got the meter maxed and just keep sending a mix of kids and usually have sent 2 fire men by then. Maybe I’m not sending enough fire men to damage the enemy or maybe my mix is wrong. It is hard to wait for the meter to get high enough for fire because sometimes the defeat happens during one of those wait times. If anyone has a more detailed tips on how they are winning please do share! Leave it to TinyCo to even make a mini-game frustratingly difficult.

  26. I won every battle until Streak 5, but now I can’t win to save my life. I upgrade everything, and just keep sending out dudes as fast as I can. I have A L3 dude, L2 chick, and L1 fire dude. The water cannon seems next to useless as they barely move and just keep shoving me backwards. The thing I don’t understand was that in fights 1-4 they would meet in the middle, but now they meet just outside of my red zone (i.e. 90% of the way to my base) leaving me very little room to move.

Same happened to me,not hey were right at my Camp gate minute battle started, but I managed to win the streak with lower level campers than you, so something is off with these battles, there seems to be no way to advise you how to proceed as like the drops the battles seem be differing in our games. Very strange!

      • Yeah, I just tried again (after update) and I lost again. I followed your plan but I still get pushed back with a whole pile of guys still fighting. They have like 5 baseball dudes and the little girls, and they almost never seem to die while mine drop like flies. Canon pushes them back briefly, but my guys stand there like stunned mullets so the other team just walks back to where they were before.

You sound like you have way too many Coaches attacking for Streak 5, I only saw 1 or 2, even at Streak 8 there I never had 5 coaches on me at once. I’d message TinyCo, as this might be the random thing that’s causing the problem, some of you are getting more Coaches which are just too tough to fight off.

          • I appreciate the help… I’m close to just sit this event out. I’m really struggling to think of a single thing I like about this event and winning camp wars isn’t likely to change my mind. I’m still 2-3 days away from getting Quagmire, so I’ll come back to the fights once I can actually unlock him.

            • Just saw the other page with a different strategy. I might give it a go, but no point without Quagmire anyway at this point

It’s been chaos I have to say, and seeing comments from so many struggling has taken any fun out the event for me, even although I’ve done not too bad up to now. I’m hoping they pull something out the bag in Phase 2 or else for many the this game will be out for summer!!!

  27. Since the update yesterday every time I try to battle my iPad crashes. Worse, I had two care packages in the queue that disappeared as my queue emptied due to the above.

    • RussianTigger

Yeah I lost 2 more Care Packages earlier as well. But I’m not having the crashing issue, but others are saying it’s happening to them too

  28. I really hope they’re going to give us some sort of compensation for the horrible glitches in this one. I’m having the same problem as everyone else, I can’t see anything/one and I’m spamming releasing players, and then all of a sudden they’re right on my end zone, and boom, I lose. It’s ridiculous.

I’ve since discovered that if I don’t send Peter I can finish a battle. However, these battles are tough enough fully manned and I’m getting defeated every time. Not even close.

  30. I’ll try to copy the trategy you suggest, guys. So far I’veonly managed to get my butt kicked a lot. Like R said, I get 3 or 4 baseball dudes in a row and there’s no chance against that. Peter’s cannon is not helping much since I lose before it’s reloaded by half. That’s how fast I lose, so I need a change of strategy urgently

  31. Not even two seconds into Level 7 and 6 campers were already clear across the bridge attacking my fighters. How are you suppose to win when the opposition clearly has a significant advantage from the get go?

    • Something similar happened to me today, but on Strike 5.3 girls just popped by the cannon limit and my two prankers didn’t appear. It wasn’t a visual glitch. The 4th girl started fighting ‘alone’ near half the bridge and a second later the pranker became visible. So I’m sure the frist time wasn’t visual (the second was). The girls just walked in as if they had an invitation XD
None of the two things had happened in my game before. And yesterday I couldn’t fight any battles because the game would crash after my 2nd or 3rd fighter was released. It didn’t take my balloons fortunately, but I was unable to play the minigame. First time the game crashes so much for me. There’s something not working well. I never had this type of problems.

  32. Are you actually able to zoom in/out or move the camera during battle? I’m playing on an iPhone 5s and my camp’s health bar gets covered up by the banners at the top of the screen. So going a little blind here.

    • I’m not sure I agree: we have been begging for new gameplay, and this certainly provides that. IF everything was explained well in the game AND it wasn’t so glitchy, then I would welcome it. (Disclaimer: I’m sitting out this event, but am following all the posts and comments. So my outlook may be a bit skewed. 😊)

  35. RT, can you advise sequence of release of campers? Stuck at Streak 5 for awhile but just can’t generate enough good players to push out Coach although I tried your strategy to max out my energy. Just not fast enough.

To share my strategy, I released about 3 Pranksters level 2, then upgraded to release Campfire Man level 1, and released 2 more Pranksters, then 2 more Campfire Man. Just can’t push back. Need some insights who to send out in sequence.

I release the Pranskters but then 2 Popular Girls as she has good health for defending, then I release Campfire man, more pranksters, popular girls, Campfire man, then as they start get pushed back I just use Pranksters

      • Can you just list the order in which you do it? For example:
        1-upgrade
        2-prankster
        3-upgrade
        4-girl
        5-upgrade
(Just an example, this probably doesn’t work)

For Streak 5/6, this is just from memory, it may not be 100% accurate as I can’t note things down as I’m doing the battle – still had no water balloons drop to try Streak 7. Also sometimes all the rival camp descend on you immediately or you’ve no visual which makes things virtually impossible.

          Camp pranksters
          Upgrade
          Water Cannon
          Popular Girls
          Camp Prankster
          Popular Girls
          Upgrade
          Campfire Man
          Pranksters
          Upgrade
          Popular Girls
          Campfire Man
          Water Cannon when ready
Then once they start to be pushed back Pranskters

          • Yeah, that didn’t work either 😦
I’m starting to wonder if lag has something to do with it. I’ve been having trouble with the past events due to lagging issues.
The boxing mini-game from the Rocky event would lag.
The shooting mini-game from the Bill/Ted event would lag.
I’ll give it a few more tries tomorrow. If I haven’t beaten this Streak by then, I’ll sit the rest of the event out, like I just did with the stupid ghosts from the last one.

I’m thinking the battles have different variables in our games, hence what works for one player doesn’t for another, just the same as the drops in our games vary. Plus the glitching, it’s making things impossible for a lot of players! Hopefully we see changes soon.

          • Have the same issue as Sunnydale15.
Is it wise to use water cannon so early?
I tried this strategy (besides water cannon which I used before second upgrade), no good. Managed to release last campfire man in that sequence and defeated.
            Keep losing (10 times already)!

To be honest I find with Scoutmaster Peter the water cannon doesn’t do much, it worked better in my earlier battle when I used Kid Quagmire, either that or I just got lucky. It’s hard to know with these battles if it’s what you’re doing that is making a difference or just something they’ve built into the battle, ie random win or lose no matter what you do.

  36. Ok, my experience is much different than that of the video. (and I know, the video shows Streak 4)
-I have lvl 2 for the first 2, and the fire guy level 1, doing Streak 5.
-my water cannon is useless. I know using Peter is weaker than the premium character, but it should have some kind of effect.
-I get bombarded with multiple baseball players. In that video, it’s just kids.
-I tried maxing out the bar first, still get my ass kicked even faster.
-I tried mimicking the attack patterns they use in the video, but my attackers still can’t get past the first area.
-At this rate, I’m not getting past the quest that requires Kid Quag, since I can’t get enough packages for the controllers, and the ridiculous drop rate of retainers (1/8, with the building that’s supposed to drop them)
-When I was doing the previous Streaks, they always took a long time. Streak 4 took about 2-3 mins alone.

  37. I have lost the last 7 games in a row. Went fine in the beginning, I was able to win. Have Peter outfit now, but am totally at a standstill now. The amount of balloons I get is only enough to fight once a day. And as I lose it, I only get one package per 24 hours.
No matter which tactics I use, I loose the games.

  38. I cannot even see the battle. I might get a glimpse just before i lose. So essentially I am fighting blind. I have all the campers (with prankster and cheerleaders at lvl 2) and just unlocked Peter about two battles ago. But I always lose now. I tried to perhaps get some support, but they are off for the holiday weekend.

  40. In my game once I start a battle the opposing campers are already right there on my side next to the balloon cannon tower!! So my campers are coming out and have to chase them clear across the entire bridge. I’ve been using all three and they fire guy never shows up even though I’m trying to use him. I’ve been mostly beaten because the opposition is always getting the head start!! Oh well… I’ll keep trying!!

  41. The fact that I just cant see any campers and then suddenly either win or (everytime now at streak 5) lose, makes this unplayable. Cant tell how I am doing and whether I need to generate campers or power up, or when to use the cannon. Pretty poor even from Tinyco IMO.

  42. Do you send a couple of pranksters out first then upgrade the candy? Or do you max out the candy from the start? I can’t beat streak 5. I can’t seem to figure out what order to send my campers out to battle 😤Any suggestions?

  43. Working on unlocking Kid Quagmire and Streak 5 is just painful. Losing water balloon after water balloon sucks, but it’s the fact that it seems like you never make any progress with it: Send in camp prankster and they already have two kids and a coach, upgrade to energy 2, you’re at 5/7, use water cannons to push them back and you find out firsthand that the water cannons are fairly useless because the recharge rate is very very slow.

I mean the event so far is somewhat fun, but the delay in the camp fights is not great and actually is a very major problem since you never see who they bring out or what’s going on until it’s too late (though in a test of 10 battles on streak 5, the campers they send is, what I found to be, two kids and one coach once you reach 50 energy, three kids and one coach once you reach energy 3, and two coachs and two kids once you reach energy 3, and after that it’s mixed.
