Hey there Campers!
Bouncing on by for a moment to try and get a better understanding of what Players are seeing in there games. There are a few basic “glitches” being reported that I have not been able to reproduce in my test games nor TinyCo in their test games. So I need a lil help from you.
Take a peek below and see if these items apply to you and your game play. Update me if they do. If not, nothing to see here. LOL ;P
CAN’T SEE CAMP WARS GAME PLAY
There are still some ongoing reports of players trying to perform the Camp Wars that visually are not able to see the Campers actually going from one side to another.
This one comes and goes in my personal game, but not in the others anymore. I am curious just how many others this one is still impacting.
If you are still not VISUALLY able to see the Campers crossing from one camp to the other on the walkway, let me know the following…
- What Device you are playing on seeing this?
- Do you play on WiFi or Phone Service (like mine is 4G where I am)?
- When was the last time you Cleared Cache on your device?
- How much INTERNAL storage is available on your device (not including external memory cards)?
- Do you have any other apps running in the background? Or do you force close them all before opening Family Guy?
- When was last time you tried force closing app/restarting device?
- Last (MAKE SURE YOUR GAME IS LINKED TO YOUR DEVICE BEFORE PROCEEDING) … when is the last time you cleared cache & data, uninstalled game from your device, reinstalled game, played to point of logging in to save game, then started back on your saved game again?
GAME NOT REWARDING CARE PACKAGES RIGHT
This one I have yet to see or experience myself. TinyCo has also been unsuccessful in recreating this issue.
Essentially, we are getting reports of Players stating that the are getting the WRONG Care Package reward when they win the Camp War Battles.
In order to understand what SHOULD happen, I will give a quick breakdown…
If you are on a Camp War with Camp Bellyflop, you should get Standard Care Packages for VICTORY wins.
If you are on a Camp War with Camp Firewood (from Phase 1) you should get the Okay Care Package for VICTORY wins.
Players NOT seeing these rewards, please provide me the following information…
- What Battle Streak# are you currently on/won?
- What Camp did you Battle (Firewood or Bellyflop)?
- Did you Win? aka did you see VICTORY?
- What was your reward for VICTORY?
- Send Screenshots of issue to me (see below)
Send screenshots of what you are seeing (if you believe the reward is wrong) to familyguyaddicts@gmail.com. These need to include the Battle info (what camp you are battling, shown top of battle screen as Campers are launched) and it also needs to include the VICTORY screen showing the incorrect payout from that same battle. Bonus if you can also show me a before battle and after battle of the rewards in the actual Care Package Screen itself from the Camp Store. I will show you some examples below.
This is my Camp Store Totals BEFORE I started the Battles. You can see the Okay Packages are at 1, the Standard are at 0.
Streak #9 Battle info. If I win this battle VICTORY, I should be awarded OKAY Care Packages. You can see the Streak # and the Camp I am battling in the top areas.
I was able to win the Camp Firewood Battle and get VICTORY! You can see the Camp Name up top. The Rewards I am given are 5 OKAY Care Packages, shown in the REWARDS area at the bottom of the VICTORY screen
For Streak #10, I am battling Camp Bellyflop, so my rewards should be STANDARD Care Packages if I get VICTORY!
I did win the VICTORY! You can see Camp Bellyflop is who I was battling up top, and you can see I was given the 3 STANDARD Care Packages as a Reward in the section below.
Now back to my Camp Store where I can see my REWARDS results from both Streak #9 & #10.
Before Battles
Okay Care Package: 1
Standard Care Package: 0
AFTER Battles
Okay Care Package: 6 (+5 Reward Streak 9)
Standard Care Package: 3 (+3 Reward Streak 10)
Overall, what SHOULD happen is this…

***SIDE NOTE: I understand those getting DEFEAT are seeing the Okay Packages on all. I am addressing that to TinyCo.
I know there are still some other concerns with the pacing of the Event and difficulty. I am still passing on all these details to TinyCo so I appreciate the feedback. Hoping to get the kinks worked out as overall, this is a fun Event idea.
Again, this may not apply to ALL Players. Just a handful. So if this applies to you, please respond in the comments below. Thanks again, your help is much appreciated.

Family Guy Addicts 
I have actuallu experienced most of those issues, but they have since resolved.
I have an issue that begin this morning 7/20 at 6:30. After I open the game and start playing, it freezes. I have to force close and start again, losing the dialog progress when starting a new quest, it starts the quest dialog over again.
I cleared the cache, cleared the data, then un/reinstalled the game but it still freezes. I am on latest version of Android (system updated yesterday) Galaxy S7 with latest version of the game (I checked for updates after reinstallatiing)
but it still freezes.

I am having problems with Streak 8 “Break a Leg” It crashes when I play Android and ALSO crashes when I use Chrome OR Firefox on PC. Surely theres a problem?

I have lost four (4) Fancy Packages at two different times – each time, the Consuela error message said for me to contact Customer Support…which I have…twice…the response has been crickets…nada…nothing…zilch…
I actually sped the last two packages (42 clams, I think) as I’m trying to upgrade the Deer as the Camp Wars have become impossible at Streak 10…
I am so frustrated with this game, I can’t stand it, I just unlocked Evil Monkey, so the will to spend good money after bad is quickly going away, I actually liked this event for a while, but it’s gone from challenging to what feels like a rip-off…I don’t dare open any other packages, I refuse to battle until I can upgrade the campers to where I have a shot at winning the streak, so it looks like I’m at an impasse…I wouldn’t say I’m done because I’m too addicted, but I am quickly becoming a Freemium player after being a mid-premium player…
Remember, TinyCo, two items have been explained over and over again…one is the RT “Happy Player’ approach – happy players spend clams because they see value, and two, the ‘Freemium/Premium’ conundrum…Freemium players are potential Premium players, and Premium players go away quickly as soon as the value disappears…

My game is still stuck on week one of camp wars and won’t move forward. I have only received okay care packages although I have had a victory with all camp wars. I sent in a message, just waiting for a response at this time. Total bummer that I missed out on all of week 2 activities.

So I am WAY late in playing this game. I have Joe’s quest line, The Lost Boys part 5. When I tap on it, I get a Consuela pop-up with no text. I cannot figure out how to complete this quest. I don’t know what the Lost Boys are to clear them. Help?

They are little characters that should appear for you to clear, but there’s a problem, TinyCo are hopeful the next update will sort this so just wait for it to be available

Here is the glitch for me. Now that week 3 is live, I can’t complete tasks to get bobbers for Joe. Every time I click the button to bring up the task list, the game kicks me out. I emailed Tinyco, but still no response. I have tried 7 times and it kicked me out 7 times.

If your game is saved to an account have you tried to do a clean install? Also have you updated to the latest version that came out today

Hi. This is what happens in my game with the war issues.
As most playeres, I can’t see what’s going on in the battlefield, and after I release, say, the 10th camper the game crashes. It doesn’t count as defeat but since I can’t fight wars I can’t progress.
I play on a tablet with Android; It’s rather old, not as fancy as your devices but according to the comments here that’s not the problem.
Anyway, yesterday I deleted the app and reinstalled it. I was able to fight twice with no problems as soon as the app was ready. Yet the third time I played – it must habe been 5h later – all the gltiches came back. This morning I couldn’t play either.
I tried restarting my tablet and I could fight a war with no crashing, but still I couldn’t see campers. They appeared at first, but then only one rival girl was visible. She was about half the bridge when I lost, so there were more of them out there.
I always close apps when I finish using them/checking them (pseudo ocd here) so I’m sure FG is the only one running at the time. I also cleared caches for all possible apps just in case.
I haven’t tried facebook yet. Not sure I wanna risk to that.
PS: On a side note, have you paid attention to the numbers in the tasks for Brian’s outfit? According to those, in my first attempt to figth Strike 2 45 of my campers were crushed by 5 fellows from the other camp. It wasn’t a fair fight, was it? Camp Griffin is definitely not a match to RSC lol

I haven’t heard of anybody else having the issue I have. In the Camp Wars, when I go to select a cannon leader, the character I select is unavailable unless I pay clams to finish a task . The character chosen is not on a task..
Before, this has only happened to me when I didn’t have enough water balloons, so it wasn;t a big deal. I have plenty of water balloons now and I can’t battle for another 3 hours unless I pay clams.

Another player mentioned something similar last week. If you’re sure character is free walking around your town, and they aren’t in the 3 hour Cooldown as you’ve just used them on the cannon, then please message TinyCo, attach a Screenshot showing the locked character and a screenshot of them free in your town

Yes, my character was free. I was trying to “play again” with Gene. I sent an email, waiting for a reply. I did finally progress to battle of the bulge part 7!

If you just used Gene on a Camp War you can’t use him again for 3 hours unless you pay clams. They go into a Cooldown after being used, so you cant use them in one war then in another minutes later

Worked for me! After several tries freezing my game in the middle of a battle, I cleaned the cache, uninstalled the game. Reinstalled it and recovered the previous save,and, Tada!! It’s working again. No freezing, no glitches and no more invisible campers. Thanks for the tips of this forum

Man those eating badges are difficult to come by, been stuck on Battle of the Bulge pt.6 for 4 days, and still only have 15/20. Have also come to a stop on winning on the Camp Wars (though I did make it as far as the Bonus Streak) so difficult to get any more Standard care packages to try to get my last 5

Hi Bunny and RT… in wars I see an occasional player from my side but they will also randomly disappear, sometimes then appearing in a motion and disappearing again. From the other side all I see are the scooter bound overlords (my, certainly no cool down period for camp belly flop to produce those guys, eh?) Other than that, random poofs and pops like it looks like everyone else is seeing.
iPad Pro 9.7 with 146+GB open playing on a very fast WiFi with 50-60 Mbps connection. I will occasionally force close all the apps prior to opening FG just to see if life is better but most of the time they are hanging out in the background. I don’t clear cache, don’t restart and a few days after Futurama came out I had deleted and then reinstalled FG.
Just reporting it to you on this hardware, I’m not going to go to those lengths to try to make their game work on what is currently the fastest iOS device. I’ll just keep playing blindly while they take my “micro-payments”. If you want me to try for an experiment, I might give it a go.

I agree with you I’m playing on latest IPad and a IPhone 7 plus which has the highest ram of any apple device, 3gb, 3 times the 1gb TunyCo state a device needs to play this game. If our devices are having issues I really feel for payers with lower devices. I think the memory hogging by this game is something TinyCo don’t seem to be able to sort, and it’s haunted them in every event they’ve launched in some way.

The same thing is happening on facebook version, even with 16gb of memory installed and a broadband speed of up to 200mb

Yep! Same issue! I rarely see ANY of my characters and it makes me keep losing camp Wars now. This is on my BRAND NEW iPad Pro 10.5. Had the same problem on my 9.7. It’s a horrible bug that needs to be fixed. On top of that… it plays the Star Trek sounds. They really should fix this game more.

have had 2 more freezes/defeats since I last commented on here despite shutting down, clearing cache etc. sometimes I get my apron and care package and sometimes not. Have sent support 8 messages regarding this now in the last 12 days and have not received a response or acknowledgement. All I am asking for in the interest of fair play is to be reimbursed for my losses due to their glitches. Losses are now 30 water balloons (due to freezing) and 3 aprons and 3 care packages that were not credited to me after my loss. Getting extremely frustrated here.

I had that happen to me twice in Phase 2, Streak 8, in both cases, the game froze as I won the battle, something in the code that caused it to freeze before it’d go to the victory screen, both times I forced close the game after waiting, both times I restarted only to find the Defeat screen…messaged TinyCo both times as I lost eight (8) water balloons…no response…
RT did have a suggestion to stop the defeat screening from coming on, but I was able to defeat Streak 8 the next time and I have not seen this occur through three bonus rounds…
HTC One 10 with latest Android OS, I use a free cleaning tool frequently to clear cache and shut down background apps, I do that before each time I play, I think that has helped remediate some issues as I haven’t (knock on wood) had as many glitches as others…

Sooooo…I reached out about the glitch if receiving okay packages instead of standard packages when losing camp wars. They said this:
” Hello! The rewards, such as Standard Care Packages, are only provided if you defeat a Streak. If you lose, you will be awarded Okay Care Packages as consolation prizes. ”
They also said camper cards were dropping as they should . I’m still at swimmer level one after opening 21 standard boxes so I reached out about that too.
Disappointing but not surprised.

Me too. So disappointing. I’ve never known an event to be quite so broken as this. Even with Gene I can’t beat the bonus streak. So I’m stuck on his pranks hoping I get hotdogs or care packages but it’s a low chance.
It’s a shame because this event could be really fun. The mini games have a lot of promise.

I’ve pretty much given up. Haven’t beaten the bonus streak once, been stuck for days with only 5/20 required badges for the hotdog eating contest building, so making no progress in the questline.
The war gameplay is still invisible (android 8gb) and so boring I usually have to let the other camp win & accept defeat after 5-10 minutes of constantly pressing buttons without a clue what’s going on because it’s just an unending stalemate otherwise. The game doesn’t even update the score during the battle, so the final victory or defeat screen is the only time I’ve ever found out what happened.
Unlocked character Gene last night and didn’t know how he could help, so maybe he’ll be able to get me unstuck now but this event is just no fun at all.

I’ve moved up to 10/20 badges for the hotdog eating contest now that the cook is pranking for me, although that’s not much progress to show for another day. Also beat the bonus streak one time, picking up some more standard card packages at last, but was defeated the next time. Have noticed that I can’t claim fishing tackle anymore, as tapping the flag button now always crashes the game. Think I reached around 85 before this happened.

Had few reports of that the other day but nothing since. I think this is an event that has really gone wrong and TinyCo’s attempts to fix it aren’t striking it lucky, I’m just kind of glad Phase 3’s unlocks aren’t anything exciting, although I do like Wild Brian,so will give it a go to get that

MAJOR GLITCH??
Now that I’ve placed all buildings that require eating contest badges, obtaining them is no longer an option for Chris 4 hour task and also as a prize for Camp Pranks. Yet, they are still a possible prize from the Care Packages. Certainly they will be required next week, so curious as to why have they stopped paying out. You can still get the badges from week 1 from Counselor Andy. Messaged TC for clarification as it makes no sense.

I’ve gotten 1 eating badge out of the last 20 standard care packages I’ve opened. I contacted TinyCo about this and got the standard “everything is fine, nothing to see here” response from them. I am not happy or satisfied with their response and lack of acknowledgement there COULD be a problem on their end.

1 eating badge out of mÿ last 22 standard care packages opened. Getting worse as I go along. I have 5/20 required badges for the hotdog eating contest building. Been stuck here for 3 plus days. So no, TinyCo, things aren’t dropping properly and everything is not ok. Lol.

I can’t see the the camp wars I’m playing on a brand new device s8 it’s the only app I downloaded on my phone I use fios Wi-Fi I feel disappointed in this game over the past couple of events but we’re such big family guy fans that we put up with the game

I can’t beat streak 10. I have tried 5 times and nothing. At the last mojito there’s always a big rush that pushes all my players back into my camp. I think this is the worst event I have ever played.

For some reason I was able to beat it on like the fourth or fifth try. I have level 4 prankster and popular girl, the rest at level 2. Peter at cannon though I had no use for him. I maxed out the power thing while just letting the first 7 wheelchair dudes just roll into the castle. After that I mashed the buttons anytime I could release a defender. Eventually my team pushed the enemy back. The outcome seems suspiciously rigged, randomly like a slot machine jackpot, because despite my letting 7 wheelchair dudes get by, they were still spawning at a ridiculous rate. I mean this game is not a skill based risk reward game. For the most part it’s a get lucky or pay to play for the reward game.

And no, this isn’t to do with my device (iOS can’t be hacked – both iPhone 7 and iPad 2; I will never visit here using my PC), or browser. Safari doesn’t cache sites on these devices and no other site visited has this problem. Ever. Only yours.

This is a WordPress issue, they control advertising etc, it’s not only been happening on this site, Alissa has been on to WordPress about it as it’s happening on TSTO site as well. It’s happening to me also on all 3 of my IOS devices but has stopped in last week or so.

I’m completely stuck, at this point. I’ve unwrapped every standard care package I can get, but I’ve received no Eating Contest Badges. Not one. So I can’t get any buildings toward getting the cook. And I am stuck in Streak 10, thus can’t get more Standard Care Packages. This terrible loop where I can’t move forward. I’m trying to get Joe, but that is going very slowly. Thanks for all you do.

Minor glitch for me – I’m not seeing a progression bar on the buildings for this task, just the time left. This is just the latest buildings, all others are fine.
Camp wars – can’t see camp bellyflops campers, just mine.
Completed being childish pt 3 and instead of pt 4 appearing I’m having to repeat pt 3.

I see campers randomly I estimate about 80% od them are invisible. But it’s nothing comparing to another issue I have: I passed 10 camp wars, opened all earned standard packages (21 if I counter correct) and have 0 (ZERO) hot-dogs drops. TinyCo answered that they checked and everything od as expected. I live it 🙂

TinyCo owes me 3 standard packages and the other items for winning Streak 10 but the game freezing in the last second and it registered as a defeat .. i have since won again and moved on to unlock Gene , but still i need those packages

I have been having problems with my game freezing mid battle only to be defeated and then not receive the apron or the care package. I lost 22 water balloons from freezing but now I shut down clear my cache and only have the game open when I go into battle – no freezing since I started doing this. However, I just experienced a defeat (streak 8) but did not receive my apron or care package. I have contacted support 6 times in the last 11 days with my issues and have requested credit or reimbursement for my losses. I have not received a single response or acknowledgement from them. Can you help me get their attention? I am still holding out hope that I can get the hot dog badges to finish part 6 as I can still get a few more victories and get the standard care packages but the loss of 22 water balloons is making that difficult as well. I see that this is an ongoing issue for many players and appreciate anything you can do to help us.

No campers, just little puffs on both sides. Not getting any hot dog medals, neither from pranks or standard boxes, so no real progression for last several days.

The problem I am having with care packages is not getting credited with unwrapping a care package being added to the Great Outdoors Joe acheivement. However, I noticed that after unwrapping a care package if I que a care package to be opened. I will get the credit towards the achievement. Although, if I wait I don’t get the credit. TinyCo owes me 5 credits for opening care packages.

So… if I am understanding right… for the achievements for Joe (A Gift From Home Pt…) when you have a package that you queued AFTER starting the new achievement, you do not get credit for it after you open it? In other words… if you start a new A Gift From Home Pt. #, then que a brand new package, wait the hours for it to complete, then open it… that is not counting to that new achievement part #?

The reason I ask is due to the achievement is noted to UNWRAP packages. So you should only be credited by starting achievement, UNWRAP gift (put it into que by tapping unwrap button under package)… so only 6 at a time. Hope that helps. 🙂

It’s working as you described. Counts towards achievement once you queue. None when unwrapped else count will be duplicated.

Unwrap is putting it in the queue. Just look at the dialog under any package that you have 1 or more of. Underneath it the button lights up green with words “UNWRAP”. Then when you tap on it, it places the item in queue.
I know it can be confusing as we assume unwrap= open. It is a bit of word play for sure. Hope that helps. 🙂

Omg! I thought I was the only one with this problem! Tinyco seems to think I am, or I’m lying! These were my thoughts as soon as I saw this post!
Bunny may have explained this one away! I was getting upset they wouldn’t believe me. I’ve since went back with the explanation as to what seems to be the mix up.
See this is why we NEED this site. I wonder how many fewer complaints they receive, because we come here first. This site has to be a godsend to them. Lol

Wait! I’m not sure this is right. Because I remember needing to add 3 packages so I could unwrap them to hit the 14 package goal. If they credited when I placed them, I’d have received the achievement goal much much faster. I even added some more AFTER placing what I knew I needed.
It still didn’t credit on my 16 until about 20 min later. This is crazy. I’m not so sure now it’s when you place as opposed to collecting. Make sense? It’s 4am…

Do me a favor if you will, do a complete uninstall/ restart device/ reinstall and then when you try your next battle, let me know if you see any difference with visual.
