  • Frakkin 270 CLAMS!!!

  • 8hr recovery period after health fully depleted in battle
  • Won’t be useful after the Event
  • Currently not voiced

Math of It:
There’s no drops associated with this character at this point, so nothing to see here I’m afraid.

Final Thought:
It’s a new character. It’s a new character that’s Frank The Pug!!! Enough said? No! Ok I’ll go on, and on and on…. Yes the clam cost is a bit pricey, but it’s Frank The Pug. His event usefulness lies in his Fight abilities, so most will base their purchase decision on this rather than his  animated tasks, but they are quite amusing, which is important to me as fun animated tasks are something, that as I’ve said before, can sway me on purchasing a Character. With all that in mind Frank The Pug is one of those premiums buys whereby if you like the Character you’ll grab it immediately, like I did. But on the other hand if Frank The Pug isn’t your thing then TinyCo are barking up the wrong tree trying to sell you this little guy.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and I can tell you, I bought him, andI know I’ll be quite happy with him even although I know his use will be limited by the  necessity to have plenty of Arrest Warrants & Strawberry Cakes. And of course his healing time, I do think the premium characters should have had a vastly reduced healing time. But I’m happier with this buy than I was Agent Zed, I’d return him if I could, oops.

FRANK THE PUG STATUE

Building/Decoration: Decoration
Clam Cost: 250 Clam IconClams
Unique: Yes
Drops: 9x Arc Net Shields every 10 hours
Earns: €20 & 35xp
Size: 3×3
Other Info: None

PROS:

  • A new and quite  cool looking decoration
  • Drops 9x Arc Net Shields every 10 hours

CONS:

  • Frakkin 250 CLAMS!!!
  • Won’t be useful after the Event

Math of It:
With regards the Arc Net Shields, well  you can collect on this task up to a maximum of 2 times a day. So that’s up to 18 Arc Net Shields a day you can grab, and over what’s left of this Phase alone that’s a potential minimum of 108 Arc Net Shields. And over the duration of the event you can get up to a maximum 360 Arc Net Shields.  Now with the exchanges probably changing again next phase they won’t be the main exchange item but they usually are still useful but to a lesser extent, but obviously we can’t guarantee that, only talking from experience of past events.

Final Thought
It’s a decoration, yes it’s a little homage to Frank The Pug, but I value it as much as I’d value what Frank would fill a poop bag with! It’s way too costly in my opinion, only for those with a lot of clams they really want rid of. And that’s not me, I count my clams like Scrooge every night.

Of course in the end once again it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I said I’m going to wag my tail and walk away from this decoration.

So there you have it the facts & figures and my personal thoughts on this Phase’s premium buys. Just remember though with it being part of a Limited Time Event, just make sure you make up your mind as once the event is over it is most likely they will be gone. In the end it’s your call as obviously hat you buy and what you don’t buy is your own personal choice we can only share our thoughts and let you know what we did and what we think, and why.  But don’t purchase it until YOU are sure. ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

  1. I’ll get Frank the pug if they make him voiced later. Frank’s a talker, it just wouldn’t feel right to me to have a none talking version of him!

  2. This is really sad to see that he’s only useful for fights. I mean it’s cool to see this character in the game, but seeing that his usefulness seems to likely be geared only towards Phase 1 and 2 enemies is disappointing.

If this event is anything like the Martial Arts event we had about a couple months ago, there may be another Premium character that will literally be able to fight anyone we need to (In that event, it was Yogi Fighter Brian and he could fight any enemy throughout the entire event). What’s more is that Yogi Fighter Brian’s “Pop-Up” Descriptor stated that he could fight anyone, which is why he may have been the most useful premium character in that event.

Now maybe Frank the Pug will be able to be used on upcoming phases enemies as well, and maybe he won’t. If he can, his usefulness will skyrocket. If not, that’s going to be a disappointing waste of 270 Clams.

  3. I’ve not bought a premium character for the last 2 events as they haven’t interested me (but I have been buying the clam-dispensing deco’s instead) so as soon as I saw Frank I bought him right away! I’m glad I didn’t go for Zed as Frank appears to be much more useful. Am currently using him to take out Ballchinians to stock up on neuralyzers so I can buy all of the Lois-item-dropping buildings right away – and maybe even Edgar’s, too, if the exchange rate stays consistent! 🙂
