Ever wondered what more could a game need inside of it? What if you had… Gameception??!!! A Game within a Game within a Game…

A New Mini Event has dropped into our Quahogs to tempt us for a bit before the “next big thing” drops. Just what will The Family Game Event have in store for us? Let’s take a peek.

THE FAMILY GAME EVENT ENDS WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 6th @3PM PACIFIC

Remember, we are pulling information live and updating the post as we can verify the stats in the game. Keep checking back to the post as we will put in the details as soon as we come across them in our games.

First up, the Basics

  • Players will need to be on the App Market Version 1.53.1 or higher in order to see the event ( I am checking to see if Android Market ANDROID UPDATE HAS ARRIVED & iOS have hit yet. Let me know if you see new ones launched today). Also try restarting your device and check App Market again. Or see if going into the game will trigger it.
  • Note: Facebook and Amazon App Markets do have delays of up to 24+ hrs on their launches.
  • Also, you may have to go directly to the App Page to force an update on some devices. http://www.tinyco.com/tinyco-games/family-guy/
  • Players will need to have at LEAST District 3 Unlocked and Al’s complete.
  • Players will only see this on the Mobile App Version (iOS, Google, Amazon, Facebook). NOT Windows Stand Alone
  • PLAY THE GAME! Items unlock in stages and as you progress, so if you do not see an item it is most likely you have not progressed far enough in the Main Questline to unlock it. Check details below for more specifics on unlock points
  • Don’t have a TON of Tasks open in your Task Menu. If you have too many open, no new ones can arrive. (Keep it under 10). If you do not see new Tasks popping up, clear out some incomplete Tasks already on your List to make room for more

WHEEL OF PRIZES

In the Main Questline, Frenemy Fued Pt. 1, you will be prompted to place the Wheel of Prizes for $200.

Once you have placed the Wheel, you will then be able to tap on it to actually see the Wheel of Prizes Pop Up. Here is a Spinning Wheel that you will be able to use Wheel Tickets you gather up while playing the Event and use them to gain  Prizes and Materials for the Event.

Wheel of Prizes: Cost 2 Wheel Tickets Per Spin UPDATE 9/1: TinyCo has altered this now to 1 Ticket UPDATE AGAIN: ONE was a Temp Glitch. It should be TWO. It has resolved itself back to TWO. Sorry. 😦

GAME SHOW CONTESTANTS

These are the “Bad Guy” wandering your Quahog Streets. They appear right at the start of the Event. I saw 3 of them right away. While pulling stats 3 more showed up so I had 6 total wandering my game within a short time.

Tapping on them will show you what you require to clear them and their Chance Drops. Similar to other Bad Guys, you will use Mystery Prizes and move them in front of the Game Show Contestants until they turn Purple. Once Purple, tap on the check mark to drop the Mystery Prize, Clear the Contestant, and get your Reward.

    Guessing by the time FB gets this event it won’t be possible to earn the free characters. Unless it pops up late today it’d be the 4th at earliest… and this event ends on the 6th.

    im not getting enough tickets from Lois and Chris .. i only managed to spin twice in a day and a half !!! how are these labeled “common” ?!! they’re forcing us to buy Cleveland !!! but i dont have the clams

    So, is this wheel different from ‘the cow says moo’ type of spinner I found in my inventory at the end a couple weeks ago? (Wondering if I screwed things up by accidentally buying it too early.) Mine is red and allows a daily spin for free, and like 2 clams per spin after that. Different one?

          The free spin is for the BETA Spin N Win wheel, not the event Big Prize Wheel. If you don’t have the Spin N Win in your store it’s probably due to fact it’s still BETA. But send TinyCo a message you’re getting Free Spin notifications with no way to use

        I’ve got the wheel but it does nothing. I tap on it and nothing happens. I tap the icon at the bottom and it focuses on the wheel, but that’s it.

        The free spin is for the daily Spin N Win, not the event Big Prize Wheel you don’t get free spin on that. The Spin N Win is still in BETA testing.

    I don’t mind the mini games, I just wish there was maybe a small break between them.

    Off topic, I just wanted to giive Tinyco a big LMAO at the dialog between Peter and Al Harrington. When Peter say some like “you’re Al Harrington of Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tubeman Emporium and Warehouse” and Al says yes I’m Al Harrington’s Wacky Waving–
    Peter stops him to say, hey our players don’t want to read some huge text boxes… Then tells him “now our players can return to complainimg about how we don’t give them enough land for their buildings” It really made me laugh. I appreciate their sense of humor towards our ‘whining’. Keep that **** up! 😁😉😂😄

    I sent the characters to go on their task for the keys for the new tan lines floor but It doesn’t show a picture of the key next to that task. Do anyone know why? Is this a glitch, will the key drop anyway?

    After a big event I like to uninstall/reinstall which I did a while ago. It is showing version 1.53.1. I play on my google Samsung S4 smartphone. Now when I try to reload my saved game via facebook it instantly crashes. Any others having this issue? I can’t start this new event until I can load my saved game. Any advice? THANKS!!

    Are the jackpots meant to be common? I already hit one on my second try and I’m wondering if it was just “luck” (because it’s not anything interesting it’s just a building with a dollar sign from the NFL event) or if they actually are just pretty common to get.

    Also I really don’t like the concept of this event, as if this game wasn’t luck based enough, but I got to tough it out for Al Harrington.

    There also appears to be a new floor in Tan Lines. Which is not currently named aside from “RETIREMENT_HOME_FLOOR_11”

    Time to collect some more keys (52 silver, 36 gold) even though I haven’t even finished filling floor 9 yet.
