A New Event has dropped into our Quahogs giving us all sorts of High School and Blasts from the Past Flash Backs. Just what will Fast Times at Griffin High Event have in store for us? Let’s take a peek.
FAST TIMES AT GRIFFIN HIGH EVENT ENDS WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 4th @3PM PACIFIC
Remember, we are pulling information live and updating the post as we can verify the stats in the game. Keep checking back to the post as we will put in the details as soon as we come across them in our games.
First up, the Basics
- Players will need to be on the App Market Version 1.54.0 or higher in order to see the event (Android for me was 1.54.5). Also try restarting your device and check App Market again. Or see if going into the game will trigger it.
- Note: Facebook and Amazon App Markets do have delays of up to 24+ hrs on their launches.
- Also, you may have to go directly to the App Page to force an update on some devices. http://www.tinyco.com/tinyco-games/family-guy/
- Players will need to have at LEAST District 3 Unlocked and Al’s complete.
- Players will only see this on the Mobile App Version (iOS, Google, Amazon, Facebook). NOT Windows Stand Alone
- PLAY THE GAME! Items unlock in stages and as you progress, so if you do not see an item it is most likely you have not progressed far enough in the Main Questline to unlock it. Check details below for more specifics on unlock points
- Don’t have a TON of Tasks open in your Task Menu. If you have too many open, no new ones can arrive. (Keep it under 10). If you do not see new Tasks popping up, clear out some incomplete Tasks already on your List to make room for more

SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS
These Guys trigger at Back to School Pt. 3. These are the Bad Guys of the First Phase of the Event. Similar to other Bad Guys, you will create an item to use to Clear them from the Quahog Streets. You will use Hamster Traps, drag them around the screen until the Science Experiment in the Target Zone and turns purple, then tap on on the checkmark to launch the Hamster Traps at them, then collect your rewards. I had 5 of them appear to start off with. Within a short time, they were at 10.

These Guys show up during Back to School Pt. 2. This is another Bad Guy for this Phase of the Event. You will use various Characters on Tasks to Clear them. I saw 2 Science Nerds appear at first.

GRIFFIN HIGH GYM
This will be your “CREATE” area where you will collect Materials to turn them into items used to attack the Bad Guys in the game.

Time to Create Hamster Trap: 1hr
You can be making up to 6 items in the QUEUE at a time in the Gym. Then you will have to wait until one finishes before adding more into the Queue.
You can have a TOTAL CAPACITY of 8 items at the same time, then you will have to use some to make room for more.
SECURITY DESK
Here is where you will exchange one group of Materials for another. For Phase One, you will be exchanging Hamster Wheels for Hall Passes. Here are some of the exchanges I saw.

For this Event, you will be able to keep an eye on the upcoming Weekly Challenges in the Main Event Hub. Just tap on the Event Icon in the lower right corner of your play screen. On the front page below Peter you will see “CHALLENGE”. Tap on it to see the information currently available.
NOTE: Weekly Challenges usually hit on a Monday’s. The first will arrive on Monday September 11th
You can also see the Final Prize available for completing all 4 of the Weekly Challenges. The Final Prize will be Michael Pulaski (Character).

Here it is, two days after the event launched and still no update for Kindle users. This deal makes me mad. For a while, TinyCo would wait for the event to go live after all platforms were ready. I even praised them for that on the survey, which I’ve still get to see results.
I guess if there’s no update today, I’ll just stop playing. Sad really. I’ve been playing for almost three years and am starting to get tired of the game. Most events this year haven’t been very fun of engaging.

Cleared my cache and just checked (I do that every 2-4 hours) and still don’t have any event. Have had them release some as late as a week later. You’d think they’d get better at this. …But then they are overloading the schedule. I sent a ticket in.

The last event didn’t launch at all as tried right up until it finished and nothing appeared on facebook and we have now had the message about we are currently upgrading the game on facebook right now and that you can still play on your mobile device for over a week now, so even if you just wanted to play the game without doing the quests you can’t and there is no way of forcing an update on the facebook version unlike mobile devices

Drops are ridiculous. No lipstick after 12 tries and no shirts from Jerome 2-hour task which is common. Does TC even care anymore? I’m beginning not to.

We are heading towards the end of week 1, and I’m only half way on the lipsticks for Cher; 23/46. 😦 I have everything else.

Any idea how I can get TinyCo to fix the Facebook version of the game? I’ve emailed them every other day for a week and had one cut and paste reply from the FAQs and one “All fixed now” reply with no reference to FB, but a request to “right in” if I still had a problem. I wrote in, and reminded yesterday, but still it won’t load.

Neither, I think. If I launch the game from FB, all I get is the load progress bar, which doesn’t move. In FB gamesroom, the game loads, but then I get a message saying Tinyco is busy updating the FB version, which has been the case since before the game show update

I think I will pass on this event. The MIB and Game Show ones were a lot of fun, but now I have run into a whole new problem: Tan Lines needs another floor unlocked! This not being super exciting event for me will allow me to focus on getting keys (basically its own event 🙂 ). Maybe if I get the floor unlocked decently quick I can get a late start and take a casual run at unlocking a character or two….hmmmmm

I was able to log in and play the event for a little while last night but now it says upgrade the game but when I try to the play store says it isn’t compatible with my device. I’m on Android and using a s7 edge

Me too, now I have a bunch of traps but no hampsters left. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll run out of traps soon when more hampsters arive. And things will even out because the “Cool Kid Peter” outfit will still take a while to complete.

So, they call the event “Fast Times at Griffin High”, yet they have characters from Ferris Bueller and Clueless, but they have zero characters from “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”? Mkay.

On Android, and I was able to log in for this new event. Thereafter I am not able to log in anymore. Even after I updated my game from Google Play. Anyone else has this problem? Tried and failed for 5 times already. Even restarted my phone.

What happens? Do you get an error? See any messages? Does it show you are logged into your account? Or does it show you are on Level 1?

I’m at the loading screen then once it finishes loading, the app closes automatically. I’m also directed to the website to report crashes of the app. Quite frustrating as I don’t recall having done anything in the morn when I could still login and play. Have reported by email submission. Bunny, any other suggestions for me?

Latest update – I fixed my problem, and incredibly got back Clam TV! Solution was to uninstall and reinstall the app. Thank goodness my game was linked to Google Play. Had this frustrating issue whole day at work, then googled for solution once at home, and found this suggestion to reinstall the game. All good now, but realized this game really sucks up a lot or RAM and space. If only Tinyco could reduce the memory usage. Guess this is one major bug about the game, otherwise all else is ok.

Well, I spoke too soon, now it’s telling me to upgrade, but there isn’t one in the Amazon Appstore. Before now, it acted like there was no upgrade necessary.
